I saw the son of the head of DSS balling on tiktok, and I can't help but wonder if DSS boss son can be balling like that, how will children of governors who have access to 500bn, 600bn,800bn, and 1trn etc budgets will be balling because I'm not sure if DSS budget is more than 70/80bn.
The children of CIA director which is the American counterpart of our DSS chairman can never ball this way despite the fact that USA is far richer than Nigeria.
In my opinion, Nigeria isn't poor or have a lack of funds problem, the problem of Nigeria is misgovernance! |

BlueRayDick:

Now this explains ur stand on this whole issue, u guys have things easy over there.
Here in Lagos, if ur transformer gets faulty and NEPA take it away for repairs for let's say 6 months, for those 6 months u will get regular estimated billing which u are expected to pay. If u don't pay, when ur transformer is back and u want to start enjoying light they will come to disconnect ur light. U will be forced to pay the crazy bill in the long run or resort to bribing NEPA officials.
In fact let me tell u about the area where I grew up. Not far from our house , there's a building that has always been empty. I never saw the owners of that building until I was teen . My parents said before I was born the owners of that building travelled abroad but they kept the building with their properties in it intact without anybody living in the house
Despite knowing nobody lives in the house, NEPA kept on dumping estimated billing on them. Meanwhile, NEPA had long disconnected their light o. When those people came to Nigeria, they had to go to NEPA make a deal to pay a substantial part of the crazy estimated bill over the years before their light was reconnected. The family stayed for less than 6 months before they travelled back . Then NEPA continued their nonsense. Well, we might live in the same Nigeria, but we surely don't live the same realities. What's seen as normal and practiced in state A can't be attempted in state B and vice versa. |

And I don't know about where you live, but the nepa officials in the places I live respect themselves. What I mean is that any month that the power supply is extremely bad, they don't bother coming to ask for money. |

izzou: You obviously do not live in Nigeria, because you seem to be mixing everything up.
How can Estimated billing be cheaper that running Generator?
Estimated billing is you paying for no power, epileptic power, and even when you do not use it.
If they don't bring light for one month, you will pay the bill
If they bring light for 30 minutes in a month, you will pay the bill
Something that is more of a fraud, is cheaper than generator? How? I'm telling you that in the ss, most of the houses don't use prepaid meters. Doesn't that mean they're using estimated billing? The billings the nepa officials bring are way cheaper than money used for running generator. |

raumdeuter: The main thing people should insist on is prepaid meter so you can regulate how much you use
Estimated billing no be am Estimated billing is still cheaper than running generators. My other house in another state, there's no meter there. Same estimated billing, guess how much they charge me monthly when I'm around? It's not even up to money I spend on fuel in a week whenever they don't bring light. |

BlueRayDick: I never said the 20k a month will last them; I was only giving an illustration that even if the family decides to ration N20k it will be almost impossible with this new tariff.
It depends on the electrical appliances u have at home like AC, Microwave, etc.
Saying NEPA is cheap is the reason why they keep treating us like trash and getting away with it. U can visibly see people contesting the claim that they enjoy 20 hours light daily which is the lamba NERC has used to jack up the rate.
I know u will want to use the tariff in other countries like UK, USA , Swedeen, etc to compare naija, but remember they have 24/7 light there. Even if they're not getting 20hours/day light, the prices seems fair to me. People want nepa to give them 24hours/day light for peanuts.. If you run generator 24hours/day for a month body go tell you. Even if the light is for only 10 hours, it'll still be far cheaper compared to when you run your gen for same 10 hours with fuel or Diesel. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by TemporaryHansel(m): 10:49am On Apr 05, 2024 |
BlueRayDick: Then that makes sense, just that even gas now is expensive but at least it is better than the darkness the discos want to continue selling at high price.
Independent Power plant would've been more beneficial to them, but those stuff are very very expensive considering the exchange rate now and when it's up u will be paying serious money to keep ur engineers motivated to work.
Omo! But now with this tariff rate, fight go dey happen between families on rationing units o. Imagine make wife commot house forget to switch some power source while the husband is looking at how they will ration 83 units @ 20k for the whole month. 20k for a whole month? In a way the light is kinda cheap. I use 7k fuel every night. If you can give me light for that same hours for 50k a month I'll dive at the it. No matter how you look at it, nepa light is still cheaper than running generators. |

Eunoiaa: There are no issues that happened out of this thread that I bring here. None, so this is a bare-faced lie. A stinking lie you cannot defend.
A troll is always coming here to harass and it is some of the regulars in here that eggs it on and hop on its mention. So why exactly should I not respond to them in here? Why do y'all not mass-report the posts for derailment so nobody ever sees them to engage with in the first place? That's surely possible since you want to be reporting my own posts for spams now.
When TemporaryHansel insulted me, did you say anything? That's a regular.
Anytime Seankafor attacks me, do you say anything? Another regular.
A40, another regular insulted me yesterday too. Ballzproblem2, sportsweb, GrammarNazi1, they all piled on his posts. Were you blind to that? Those are not regulars? It was not worthy of your attention?
Until it stopped recently Oyindamola, Glorious Gbola and akwese nana were always shading me too.
A OO1, Izzòu are also people I've disagreed with that it degenerated into insults. But that's well in the past. Are those the issues I brought over from other thread or you just love throwing words around?
Even Oasis and I have clashed once or twice.
Other than that troll that doxxed me, every other disagreements I've had in here have been with the regulars. I ask you again, why are you singling out my "beefs" as some special case? In fact, has this thread not been locked once? Was it because of me? Have mods not come here to indefinitely ban users and deleted posts that you'll see "yam ridges" from pages to pages? So why the fuçk are you making a mountain out of the molehill of my responses? You NEVER EVER EVER chip in your two cents the way you're doing now whenever other guys are going at each other's necks, so I know what you're doing now is just grandstanding at best and an attempt to paint me as a "villain." Because from where to where is "we'll be reporting you for spams" coming from?
That's literally my only issue with you. Comot your face and stop acting like heaven is falling or as if I'm going to destroy the thread if this is nothing personal to you.
Someone's child was literally doxxed right in here, but my offense is the greatest ever. Well done. Are you crazy? Please stop mentioning me. What I said to you isn't an insult but a fact. I wanted to quote the post, but it seems it has been deleted by the mods. Let me repeat what I said , I believe your brain isn't mature enough to know when and where to post certain things, and you keep me proving me right with the kind of posts you've been making here since yesterday. |

What the lady did can best be described as a defamation. Defamation is a civil issue not a criminal issue. Fines should be appropriate in this scenario, jail term should only be considered if she fails to pay said fine. This is how it works in the societies where the people that wants the woman to be hanged live in.
In the US, and UK for example people don't get hanged over defamation.
Omo it's like most of these people would be worse than our politicians if given the opportunity of. |

N3TRAL: It's hard to be the enlightened individual or have a different perspective from the usual view of the narrow-minded African society.
Most African women genuinely believe that they're beneath men and are lower than their husbands in the scheme of things.
Gender discrimination is a factor that hinders birth control in Nigeria. Most women still feel guilty and unfulfilled if they don't give birth to male children.
Many women believe that men are things that cannot control themselves and must be satisfied despite the female's unsound body at the moment.
Many women are submissive to the fear that if they do not give into their husbands desires that are to their detriment, he would be justified to find another lady outside.
Nigerian women are far from emancipation. Religion is a major obstacle. Facts |
