Spirit is not a human body. All bodies and objects have shape because of dimensions. I can see what plato means by form and matter.
Spirit is repose and movement, it has no dimension.
We have color because of reflection of light, light itself is colorless, the deflection of it causes different colors.
But Atheists don't believe spirits exist.

At the same time, I don't understand what you mean by repose and movement and it having no dimension.

SMH. Why must anyone tell lies to defend his god?
That is the way they are built o!

When the foundation was based on lies a 419 told the Arabs that he saw an angel who squeezed him three times and commanded him to read. Unfortunately, they didn't ask him if he could now read after the command of the angel.

I am 3D and i can’t fathom 1D, 2D, i can only see and fathom in 3D.
We might not necessarily live in 3D, there might be other dimensions right within us but my perception is only 3D.
I can only measure my world through 3D, doesn’t mean the world is only 3D.

Higher dimension will just be another form of measurement different from height, length and depth.
I can view a 1D object that doesn’t mean I’m 1D, i can have tools that can allow me to view higher dimensions but i still remain a 3D.

Is this “spirit space” a form of measurement?
length, depth and height has one constant characteristic and it is for measurement of objects, so any dimension will also have that constant characteristic.
To fathom is to comprehend or understand!

Are you sure you can't fathom 1D and2D?

As you well know, dimensions are not visible and for 4D even if all dimensions are present, you can only fathom 3D!

On the spirit:
You said you have one: thus I asked you questions about it (just the same way you Atheists do). So, will you please respond to the question?

Mr AntiChristian,
If we ask you now, you can't speak Arabic: you are very ignorant of what your Islamic Scholars says.

All you can say is to make fun of Google-translate. Unfortunately, the chain that hook your leg is more than one.

Your argument failed: I'm sure you'll still say I have gone to David Wood to ask for rebuttal.

AntiChristian:
Google translate?
K
1. Several Qur'an translations use the word AORTA for ٱلْوَتِينَ (I-watina)
2. Translation by Sunnah.com of
Sunan Abi Dawud 4512: Book 41, Hadith 19
translations use the word AORTA for abhari (al-abhar)

3. You AntiChristian says "Al-Wateen used in the Qur'an verse is not the same as Al-Abhar" but then you went on to claim that "So in essense, Al-Wateen is part of Al-Abhar."

4. Your Islamic website agree that Al-Wateen and Al-Abhar are used synonymously.
https://www.call-to-monotheism.com/prophet_muhammad__peace_be_upon_him__and_the_taking_of_poison

5. Google translate of أَبْهَرِي (qataeat 'abhari) as used in Sunan Abi Dawud 4512 says YOU CUT MY AORTA

If your Islamic Scholars translate both Al-Wateen and Al-Abhar mean AORTA, how is that my Problem!

Please find another excuse!

Alright, but at bolded, you should already know by now that you're the only one asking stupid questions and making yourself look stupid in here but if you don't realize or accept that, then that shows you to be even stupidier.
It's obvious you're not that smart, you have a slow understanding and to make it worse you're yet again dumb. Fortunately, since some people here too know this, I don't have anything left to prove.
The thread you created is obviously bigger than your thinking faculty. The best thing right now, instead of engaging you is rather to watch from the sidelines as you keep unfolding more of your ignorance in grand style.
Bye for now lad, see you again, perhaps when next you create a simpler thread your brain can cope with.
In the beginning of our conversation, I thought you were smart only to discover that it is impossible for you to think in an abstract manner. I tried to close the subject but not you. Only for you to now be evasive when the question was simply:
Is a Triangle or a Circle 2D object?
To make things , the next question was is the triangle made up of cardboard?

I understand: not everyone is built for deep thinking.

Have a nice day!

Maynthemayn:
I think it will be the same way i know 3D, 2D and 1D, and my perception can only determine the numbers of dimensions i can know, maybe there will be a tool in the future that can further enhance my perception to know other dimensions.
If that’s the case that means 4D already exists right now, i am the one not using it.
I have 2 eyes but they are not sharper than some animal eyes, we might have some animals that already see in 4D or more, I’m suspecting those animals/ants that work on any surface irrespective of the direction.
This is the whole point of the discussion!

We can visualise 1D and 2D because we live in 3D.

We note that those in 1D cannot fathom 2D and those in 2D space cannot fathom 3D.

We have no reason to believe or know that higher dimensions other than 3D exist
BUT
If they exist, we have no way to know. It is beyond us.

My only extension (of course you don't need to agree) is that perhaps this higher dimension is the state Christians call the "Spirit Space" or spirit realm.

I was hoping that some of you guys will be theorising procedures to break into the higher dimensions or at least detect it if possible. But know, just because this is in the Religion section of Nairaland by a non-atheist, the thread must be brought down!

The Word translated in the Quran is : ٱلْوَتِينَ (I-watina)
The several meanings are: Aorta, Artery of his heart, artery of his life, Life-Artery
Meaning that it has to do with an artery connected to his heart

2. An islamic website refuting David Wood says al-watin is actually part of al-abhar and agrees that they are synonyms for each other

AntiChristian:
This falsehood is from one of David Wood's video!

1. Al-Wateen used in the Qur'an verse is not the same as Al-Abhar used in the Hadiths! Both were translated as Aorta

In reality, Abhar is a vein that originates from the head and extends to the feet. When the vein extents to the back it is called Al-wateen. So in essense, Al-Wateen is part of Al-Abhar.

When a person's aorta is cut off the person dies immediately! But that Qur'an verse you claimed was not the last verse that was revealed to the Prophet. More so in Qur'an 5:70, Jews were refered to as usually killing the Prophets sent to them!

Even when the Prophet was poisoned he still lived for a few years.

So as usual, you watch David wood and come here to rant!

Whoever needs to can watch David Wood's video and the refutation on it by visiting the site below!

Someone showed TenQ the Like/thumbs-up emoji on one of his social media posts and a rectangle drawn on a paper. They told TenQ the thumb on his right hand is made from infinite like/thumb-up emojis on his SM post and that his Home theatre box is made up of infinite rectangle drawn on the paper.
They also told @TenQ that his SM like emojis are slices of his right thumb.
Right now, TenQ is busy looking for a way to slice his thumb so it could give him infinite likes on his SM post. cheesy
TenQ is one big joke in here.
Only cowards steal jabs when no one is looking!

You asked a stupid question with respect to this subject : that I should give Examples of Real Objects existing as 2D or 1D object. Knowing well that we live in a 3D world and therefore even the smallest object we can have will be 3D shaped.

Your argument presents the view that 1D, 2D and subsequently 4D objects do not exist: as you put it "they are just book imagination"

As if I was arguing that true 2D objects exist in real life, you posted a Google screenshot which showed that in real life no such object exist knowing very well that wasn't my argument.

I then asked you a simple Question:
Is a Triangle or a Circle 2D object?

You refused to respond because you know that if you had affirmed this, you have also affirmed the 2D space (i.e. it's no more just book imagination"wink.

Your argument is simply this (condensed): we live in a three dimensional world, because we cannot exceed this space, any other dimensions (1, 2, 4, 5 etc) cannot exist!

Just as I have stated my arguments, state yours and defend it.

It is NOT my fault that you cannot extend your reasoning into lower dimensions like 1D and 2D, how can one expect you to cope with 4D and higher

Also it is good to question science, that is the only way to the development and advancement of science.

But this thing is a 2 way end, the way you are questioning science, you should also question your religion.
Question both ends, so you can remove the chaff from wheat on BOTH sides then there will be more clarity.
The spirit in you have started manifesting again:

Where did I question science?

Dribbling around.
It simply means length, breadth and height and so on. Something that can be MEASURED in a particular way.
Stupidity exemplified!

I gave you a full definition of Dimensions and all you could do is to reduce it into length, breath and height!

Let me help you out by reposting it so that you can ask yourself if what you wrote here is not just a tiny subset of my definition!

Let me oblige you so that we can move forward!

Definition Dimensions:
1. In mathematics and physics, a dimension refers to the number of independent directions or coordinates required to describe an object or space . It provides a quantitative measure of the extent or complexity of a system.

2. In the context of geometry, the term "dimension" often refers to spatial dimensions. For example, in two-dimensional (2D) space, two coordinates (such as length and width) are needed to specify the position of an object. In three-dimensional (3D) space, three coordinates (length, width, and height) are required. Higher-dimensional spaces, such as four-dimensional (4D) spacetime in physics, involve additional independent directions.

3. Dimensions can also be abstract and apply to other mathematical structures beyond physical space. For instance, a vector space may have a finite number of dimensions or even an infinite number of dimensions.

In general, the concept of dimension provides a framework for understanding the properties, relationships, and complexity of objects and spaces in various mathematical, geometric, and physical contexts.

Since you have nothing more to say, please go and study some more!

Lol, it’s really amusing watching you writing absolute nonsense confidently.
What a STUPID strategy: please write your OWN thesis and let's see how your IGNORANCE is made manifest.

Borrow wisdom here:
Your aim should be to take the subject and Logically push it to a SOUND conclusion !

But dummies think slander is what makes them win an argument!

If there isn't anything else you have to say, please get off my mention!

LoLz. I dunno who you think you are fooling with this discussion. It is clear you don't understand what dimensions are and that you resisting all attempts for you to gain understanding, your spiritual realm is irrelevant to me.
You are the one who is completely IGNORANT of what Dimensions are!

If you have ANY idea, what have you written since the beginning of this thread that showed you know what you are speaking about. Nothing!

You are afraid of making your own point as all you can do is to work against the conclusion even without going through the process to arrive at your own conclusion.

If you don't have anything to say, it's not compulsory chatting on this thread!

I have been asking you to define what dimension means, all what you are saying are in fiction,it doesn’t exist.
Of course i am enjoying the imagination of 1D to 4D, I already told you that all what you are saying about 4D is not new, did i not mention “string theory”.
String theory is even up to 10D.
I defined Dimensions and many more to you my dear.

Check below if I didn't answer you well

I don't know why you insist on changing the course of narration.

What happens if there is no Dimensions?
Then objects and space will not exist except as an abstract theoretical objects as a point, dot or pixel in a graphical or space representation.

Now that I have answered your QUESTIONS (did I miss any?), Please respond to mine.
1. It is possible to have a one-dimensional (1D) space within a two-dimensional (2D) space?
Is it possible to have a two-dimensional (2D) space within a three-dimensional (3D) space?

2. If the above is possible,
Is it possible for a hypothetical point object in a 1D space know by any means that he is within a 2D or 3D or nD space?

If the question 1 is impossible, can you explain why?
