NaijirianKing: The SE must first prove that they can play national politics and not sectarian politics. VP is good for that region for now.
If served well, in the future, such can be discussed. But in this current political climate, Nigeria has to see how the VP position is handled first.
NC has shown consistent support towards nation building and deserves to not be left in the cold.
And pragmatically speaking, the SE doesn't have support of the greater south. Maybe their cousins in the SS, but definitely not the SW.
NC has support of the NE and NW. 3 regions that can politically move a candidate to the top spot. SE/SS topping off these votes is an easy win. I'm sure you agree. You speak selfishly and myopically. I am not from the SE, but in the interest of Equity and Fairness, it is the turn of the SE. The VP position is NO position (the relegation to the background of Oshinbajo proves this). One thing is certain, it mustn't be another FULANI person from any place in the NW, NE or NC. And, You are not the one to determine if the EAST are ready or not for national politics: except your claim is that the whole of the SE don't have a single wise person who can be president over this nation. |

The bulk of currency traders source dollars for cheap and sell to traders or those who need it for large profit. Even that goods trader also use it to speculate, he uses half for trade and then sell to other traders for profit too. You can't overlook the Law of Demand and Supply and still expect your economic theories to work. There is too much demand for the dollar. The question you should ask yourself is WHY? |

They find for ways to buy the dollar in cheap and sell it to the public for higher gain No. 1. The bulk of the traders who need Dollars can not legally source it from the Banks. 2. The CBN gave a limit of $100 per month which is grossly inadequate for the small trader. If I want to import pressure cookers of $2000, where do you advise that I get my forex (we dont manufacture pressure cookers in Nigeria) |

ichidodo: Whatever fundamentals that has been floundering the Naira back in the 80s are still the same elements wreaking havoc in today's economy, therefore we understand the steady, I reiterate, steady decline of the Naira to the dollar,at least steady enough for the economy to grow at some demographic levels with a relatively stable inflation rate but the past few months have become worrisome if not alarming..The rate of erosion of today's Naira to the dollar can only be explained if the country is going through a catastrophic natural disaster or war but if not so then there's only one identifier SPECULATION...The likes of abokifx have only sought to engineer values so as to reap profits off the sweat of hardworking Nigerians, therefore moving against them should shore up the Naira, at least if Naira would reach 1000 to 1 Dollar let it get there in 3 years rather than 3 months with the way one man in the UK is fixing our currency rates..At least before 3 years I for don jakpa leave una. No sir! The steady decline in the dollar is not caused mainly by speculations BUT the law of demand and supply. Almost everything we use in Nigeria (from toothpicks, pens, papers, clothings, jewelries, pins, needles, threads, etc) is IMPORTED, this means 1. The is a very STRONG demand for the dollar 2. The CBN cannot meet the demand need for this dolar 3. Therefore, the price of Dollar to Naira goes UP. Its quite simple. Only that our economic experts think there is a FISCAL solution to this problem. The only solution is to begin an IMPORT substitution Local Manufacturing Economy. Unfortunately, these people wouldn't want to go this line. They will rather find someone to blame. |

NaijirianKing: This is what many don't understand.
The North is canvassing for a NC candidate that will have support from the NW and NE.
The NC has never had the presidency and has been marginalized. So this is fair and equitable.
The SE has not had the VP since return to democracy. Thus, in justice and equity, the North is prepared to give them the VP.
Anyone fighting this is against unity of the country and fairness. In the interest of fairness, the EAST is the first in line to the presidency followed by a NON-Fulani in the NORTH_CENTRAL followed by a NON-Fulani in the NORTH_EAST Any other permutation other than this is borne from lack of patriotism and love for Nigeria! *Its an illusion for the North to think they can give any region any kind of slot. The advantage of the North is voting defined by lack of education and knowledge of governance. |

Miracles are not evidence, they are claims or products of ignorance.
Creatures are not evidence, we know how a lot of them got here.
Bible and Quran passages are full of lies and unsubstantiated claims. Their stories directly oppose reality and sometimes very laughable and can never be proven to be true, all lies and no single evidence.
There are no gods. All gods are fantasy creatures invented by humans. Gods can’t be detected with our human senses because gods don’t exist.
“Perceived mind telepathy”? Well, right, there’s no such thing as telepathy but sometimes people think they are receiving messages from some outside source. They are actually getting some sort of feedback from their own subconscious mind. What are the evidences of your claims in this post? As I can see, none! Only sentiments!! |

akoniyong: Good Morning Nairalanders.. i'm a Muslim Convert. i Gave my life to Lord Jesus sometimes, 2020 May. But up till this Moment, i don't know how to pray. i attend winners. can someone lead me on please. God Bless you It is too easy to pray. You are trying hard to pray like the "spiritual brother or sister or pastor" you know. Stop this! 1. God is a Spirit 2. God is everywhere (including your heart) 3. God hears whenever your words or thoughts are addressed to Him4. Prayer is simply pouring out your heart, feeling, fears, joy, worry, needs, anger, frustrations, emotions to God 5. Prayer is not some religiously high-sounding big spiritual language So, how do you pray.Prayers are in TWO Parts A. PRAYERS TO GOD:1. Address your words to "Your Father in Heaven" 2. Give Him THANKS for the positive things about your life and the things you are GRATEFUL for 3. Worship Him in Praise for His ATTRIBUTES (Wisdom, Power, Greatness, Love, Dependability) 4. Worship Him in ADORATION for His ATTRIBUTES (Wisdom, Power, Greatness, Love, Dependability) 5. Ask for specific things FOR the Kingdom of God on earth, Nigeria, Your State, Your (Church, Christians in need, People Serving God etc) 6. Confess your FAILURES, ERRORS or SINs of the day (if you remember any) 7. Tell Him about your negative Feelings and Emotions and Help to overcome them 8. Tell Him about your Needs 9. Report those who hurt you to God while you forgive them 10. Report the happenings and events of the day to Him B. SPIRITUAL WARFARE:This is basically not addressed to God BUT to your SITUATIONS, principalities, powers, spiritual wickedness in high places and their ACTIVITIES around your sphere of influence. You COMMAND them in the Name of Jesus Christ (ie. Using the Authority of Christ) e.g. -I command doors of my favour to open to me today in Jesus name -I command inthe name of Jesus Christ, satanic agent disturbing my peace be arrested now -I command whatever the enemies are using to limit my... break right now in Jesus Name etc. This is just a guide: It mustn't be religiously followed in any order. The Lord’s Prayer (Luke 11:1–4) 5 And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward. 6 But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
7 And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
9 So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.b’
14 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours.
Proper Fasting 16 When you fast, do not be somber like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward. 17 But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that your fasting will not be obvious to men, but only to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. I pray you succeed in your longing to pray to your Father in Heaven. Note: Even though you can pray at any PLACE and any TIME, It pays to have at least once or twice a day of FIXED regular time of prayers Shalom |

erubati: Hello nairalanders, Please as I am typing this short piece, am seriously boiling with rage as am unable to sleep. There is a building beside my house where one of the occupants is always putting on his gen at any slightest opportunity of NEPA outage.
The most annoying aspect is that he uses the generator deep into the night and the noise usually affects my sleep. Presently, there is light in the area but I guess they did not recharge their prepaid meter so he switched on his generator since around 7pm and he is yet to switch it off as am typing.
Is a tenant given the right to switch in his gen overnight while denying others the right to good night rest. I am thinking of reporting him to the appropriate Lagos State authority but don't know which one can take it up seriously. Why dont you build a sound-proof box for his generator. If you are interested, I could show you how to build a crude one. |

The Question was if God is a Spirit, then who created Spirits? This needs an answer from you.
God created all living things and He is living. But God's existence is not similar to the existence of any of His creation! It's still amazing that you don't get it. If God created ALL living beings, who created God? Is very much like your question. You don't know that the scriptures before you spoke about 1 God as a Spirit 2. Angels of God and Fallen Angels ...and Principalities, Powers, Spiritual wicked spirits in high places 3. Cherubims, Seraphims and other heavenly beings 4. Unclean Spirits, Familiar Spirits, Demons 5. Even human beings have their spirit component All you know is Jinns. No wonder you are confused. What other kinds of spirits do you know apart from Jinns? AntiChristian: And yeah, i interprete Spirit to mean Jinn of which Satan is an example. Arabian Nights has so much confused you. A spirit is a non-material living being. (C): Johnson Andrew, this is the Analyzed data based on population figures of each state.
THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF PUBLIC SERVICE REFORMS, RELEASED STATISTICS OF EMPLOYMENTS INTO OUR PUBLIC SERVICE. THE RAW FIGURES PER STATE ARE
(A). EMPLOYMENT INTO THE PUBLIC SERVICE NE with a population of 19.0m has 7,793 NW with a population of 35.8m has 8,806 SE with a population of 16.4m has 16,540 NC with a population of 20.3m has 17,661 SS with a population of 21.0m has 18,038 SW with a population of 27.6m has 19,620
To appreciate this figures, it is necessary to find out how many employees are taken from every 1 million people in each of the geographical zones.
The result is: 1st. SE has 1,009 Employees per million 2nd. NC has 970 Employees per million 3rd. SS has 859 Employees per million 4th SW has 711 Employees per million 5th NE has 410 Employees per million 6th NW has 246 Employees per million
Here we can see that South Eastern Zone has over 1000 people engaged in the public service of Nigeria in every 1 million Igbo people, whereas only 246 people are engaged in North West! Remember that this is the Zone of the President of Nigeria.
Curiously South West, the Zone of the Vice President is the least in Southern Nigeria with the employment of 711 people in a million. It is pertinent to see the trend as regards Political Office holders. Probably, those that lost out in the Public Service, are compensated with Political offices. Let's perform sample surgical operation on the political employees.
(B . POLITICAL APPOINTMENT We all have the statistics of political appointees of the current Buhari administration. NW has 51political appointees from 7 states NC has 47 political appointees from 6 states NE has 45 political appointees from 6 states SW has 45 political appointees from 6 states SS has 45 political appointees from 6 States SE has 41 political appointees from 5 states These translate to: 1st. SE: 2.50 appointees in a million. 2nd. NE: 2.37 appointees in a million. 3rd. NC: 2.34 appointees in a million. 4th. SS: 2.14 appointees in a million. 5th. SW:1.63 appointees in a million. 6th. NW:1.42 appointees in a million. Alternatively: 1st. SE: has 1 appointee in every 400,000 2nd. NE: has 1 appointee in every 422,000 3rd. NC: has 1 appointee in every 427,000 4th. SS: has 1 appointee in every 467,000 5th. SW: has 1 appointee in every 614,000 6th. NW: has 1 appointee in every 704,000
Once again topping the list of beneficiary is South East with one political appointee for every 400,000 people. As if it is an intentional act, NW, from where the President hails has the least of 1 political appointees for every 704, 000 people while the figure for Osinbajo's Zone is 614,000 and is the least in the South.
THIS IS NOT MY DEFINITION OF "MARGINALIZATION" BEING PEDDLED BY THE IGBOS THAT ARE, IN FACT THE BIGGEST BENEFICIARY IN NIGERIA. FIGURES DON'T LIE.
What makes me laugh is when i see some Yoruba crying for the Igbos when the latter talk about Marginalization. They should be crying for themselves. Skewed data! Why don't you do your analysis by ethnic groupings. Of those representing NW, NE, and NC, how many are FULANI? Selfish people! |

And sometimes, an error somehow creeps in and the lecturer cannot quickly find it. This is usually the problem (a discrepancy between the lecturers preparation AND what he has written on the Board. Kudos to him though: it means he is not just copying out the note for the students. He is ACTIVELY carrying them along. I have taught advanced Physics before, so I understand. Me, I see a lecturer trying hard to engage his students AND not just a note dictator/copier. Some aspects of Physics are abstract. Once you try too hard to force Sense into it, you distort the principle or concept behind the theory. How does one physically explain why √(-1) = iUnfortunately as a physics teacher, you are forced to cook up explanations why such is valid within a solution. |
