I won't feel bad if we finish 10th with Giggs as the coach, atleast would have excuses like he was inexperience and that it was a learning curve for him than to have this stubborn big headed LvG with his useless philosophy feeling like he knows what he is doing while we continue to slide down the table playing really boring football.

Mentioning our name with the likes of Barca, Madrid and Bayern for simply football reasons seems like a joke these days.

How can a supposedly experienced coach trim his squad to the bearest minimum in a league where they have no winter break and can't get players to execute his useless philosophy after spending 250M.

You've said it all. That's why i've also said here that i want him sacked and appoint Giggs to manage the team till the end of the season. The way things are right now, i've taken my mind off the UCL spot. If we qualify, it'll only be a bonus to me. Some of the players he sold would've come in at this time to rescue the team at this time.

We wouldn`t have been in this situation if he hadn`t. sold back-up players without adequate replacement. I don`t even know who advised him to trim the squad with the number of games played in EPL without a break. Such person should be sacked.

Damning! This is exactly what i said after the match yesterday. He's not giving us anything other than disrupting our play. Teams now know how to play against him.

I was referring to elampiro's observation that our midfielders were not moving more with the ball at their feet. Part of the Philosophy is that you should always pass to the next available player instead of moving far up-field with the ball.

We should have long sealed the game. Two clear chances and some half chances. Smalling had a totally off day.

Our defending is horrible. From the midfield to defence, we don't do well to frustrate the opposition from finding spaces to us. We have set of tough matches coming up and I wouldn't like Blind to be the one pairing Smalling. We also need Valencia to return to free Young for the right wing.

Martial will need to build on his long distance speed. He has great acceleration over a shirt distance but cannot run with great speed over a long distance.

After Fellaini picked a yellow, Mark Dean ensured he didn't award any free kick in favour of Fellaini even when he was fouled. That was frustrating.

Memphis has to be thought how to tackle and defend a ball. He offers no protection to his full back. When he appears to mark, he ends up even confusing his full back.

Lingard and Fellaini should have sealed it. Fellaini nodded the ball to the goalkeeper even though the goal was wide open before him. He keeps stamping the goalkeeper.

We played one of our best games without dominating possession. Van Gaal should learn from that. Sometimes too I ask why our midfielders cannot travel with the ball. When Smalling overlaps, he takes the ball past players with ease into final third. But our midfielders cannot do that.

Those midfielders who would`ve travelled with the ball will not try it because of SAFE PASS PHILOSOPHY. They`ll not want to find themselves on the bench in the next match because of not playing to instruction and this is affecting their games. Smalling can afford to do that because he has no competitor in the defence. I`ve seen Smalling loss the ball when taking the ball forward countless of times without him being benched.

I don`t know why he didn`t even start Paddy as the right back with Young supporting him and also a threat on that right with Martial on the left.

The problem is we had only one defender who could defend aerial threat. We should have at least three. The two centre backs and one full back. It was always hard scoring against us from crossing when we had Brown (RB) and Rio+Vidic.

We need to find solution to Blind. I blame Jones and Rojo who keep going on long term injuries.

Should we appoint a coach like Mourinho, Blind wouldn't be a central defender. He will be a back up left back.

You could see in my post that i wasn`t even talking about today`s game alone. Even with his presence there we still conceded 3 goals and we would`ve conceded more but also for De gea.

He was the center defender pair with Smalling for set plays against us and crosses. Without him, Smalling will be over labored and we would concede more. That's the only thing I saw him do.

But those who said Herrera should have stayed missed it. Herrera was poor most part in the second half. He was deservedly pulled out.

What about other games he has played for us? Or is it that if we don`t have him in our team, we wouldn`t be able to defend aerial threat?

Yes, go and check his stats this season. He`s adding nothing to the the team this season. It`s like he`s been one of the problems we have in the team. Teams now know how to deal with his heading threat in the box. As a matter of fact, we`ve only won one game with him in the starting line up in the EPL this season.
I`ll suggest we sell him and go and buy Wijnaldum.

Fellaini should be sticked to the bench until further notice. The guy is even afraid to hold the ball though LvG should also take part of the blame for trying to use him as a CMF.

I don`t know what LVG sees in him. This is an opportunity for us to sell him since Milan are interested in him. If you are not playing in crosses, he is useless. He can`t play as a defensive midfielder. Team are even no longer giving him the chance for headers in their box any longer. He`s too rash in his tackles as well.
We have only won 10pts with out of 11games this season.

I totally agree with Scholes on these. One of the major problem with LVG is misuse of personnel. For crying out loud Mata isn`t a winger and that is why that wing is dead. We saw the difference when Young played there. He should be using a proper winger so that the two wings will be active to open up defences just like we did under SAF. Teams don`t really bother about that wing any longer when they see Mata there. LVG is the one killing the potentials of this team.

We now play football like a guy giving a babe pre-intimacy without penetration.
