Becomrich0:
The reason for the fighting in ogun state has to do with satellite pictures. The population of Ogun state is more than Kaduna state or River state or katsina, even more than Kano state. kano has 44 local govt and ogun state has 20. while katsina has 33. I think even Jigawa state  likely has more population than Katsina state.

The truth is Ogun state has no money to take care of itseld need and the need to borrow , I also understand the speaker group point of view about the timing. But I know why Gbenga daniel is doing this too.

So nigeria has to either let us go or go to the united nation.

I would compare ogun state and kano state and you would see the different, yourself. i would be back. And we would also do Ondo state and you compare with other state and you would see they are cheating us.
lipsrsealed grin cheesy
Becomrich do you do this satellite thing on purpose? I mean common huh

@ OP
Ogun people are lucky, they have people fighting for them. I support the G15. I hope Daniel is impeached just to shame him for the last time. I also hope they sue him for all the bad things he has done in Ogun state. I wonder why the families of those burnt in the fire has not sued yet.

Chief Femi Fani-Kayode was the spokesperson to President Olusegun Obasanjo; he subsequently became Minister of Tourism & Culture & later served as Aviation Minister for Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is currently vying for the position of Governor in Osun State (South-West, Nigeria).

This is why it is so important for us to learn about our history properly, to read as widely as possible and to do our own research before we just accept and believe whatever anyone may tell us about our past.  Chief Matthew Mbu is a man that I have  tremendous respect and affection for and he is undoubtedly one of our most eminent elder statesmen and nationalists. He is also a father to me so I do find it difficult to say what I am about to say. Yet the truth must be told no matter what and no matter whose ox is gored. And the truth is that the elder statesman’s assertion that Sir Tafawa Balewa, the former Prime Minister of Nigeria, was not murdered by soldiers and that he in fact died ofasthma is a sordid and shameful attempt at distorting history. It is nothing but historical revisionism.

It is simply not true to say that Ifejuana did not kill Tafawa Balewa and that the man just died of an asthma attack after being abducted. The man was shot and his body was left to decompose. It is not true to say that there was no autopsy report. There was. After the body was found it was taken to LUTH and an autopsy was conducted by the head of the pathology department in that hospital. The findings were that he had been shot to death. Dr.Moses Majekodunmi, who was the Minister of Health at the time, can confirm this. After murdering Balewa in cold blood on the Abeokuta road Ifejuana fled to Enugu because by that time it was clear that the coup had failed. When he got to Enugu he met withChristopher Okigbo who he was very friendly with and Okigbo smuggled him out of the country from where he fled to Ghana. He later came back to Biafra and both he and Okigbo fought on the Biafran side during the war. Okigbo was killed at the war front and Ifejuana was executed by Ojukwu for pl,   http://questionmarkmag.com/2010/09/who-killed-sir-tafawa-balewa-by-femi-fani-kayode/

SEVEN officials of the Ogun State chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) were beaten up Wednesday.

Scores were injuried when suspected thugs attacked them yesterday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The students were from tertiary institutions in the state.

Sources said they were heading for the the Police Command, Eleweran, to complain about their skirmishes with "IBB for President" campaigners at Laluibu.

They said the thugs attacked them and vandalised five of their buses.

An eye witness said the suspected thugs to smashed the windshields of the buses and tore the tyres when the students fled the scene.

Those allegedly attacked included Falola Moses, Okerafor George, Tunji Adeoso, Joke, Kazeem and two others.

NANS President in Ogun, Mr Adeyemi Azeez, an undergraduate of University of Agriculture (UNAB), Abeokuta, told The Nation in a telephone interview that he suspected the students were attacked because the Ogun NANS challenged the attempt to use the "Gateway State" as campaign ground for Gen. Ibrahim Babangida’s presidential ambition.

It was gathered that NANS members allegedly disrupted the commissionig of IBB’s campaign office at 22, Oke-Ilewo Road.

The students did not only give the pro - IBB a verbal fight at the venue of they also destroyed the canopy, chairs and posters of Babangida.

So what are you trying to say? The fact that babangida paid for Nigerian Youths to be brutalized because he wants to be president by all means is funny? This will cause more hatred towards him. In Ogun state he wants to beat people into submission. He will soon meet an end that suits him. Then i will look for you and laugh. Idiot, ole alailojuti.
PoliticsRe: Dangote Donates $2m To Pakistan’s Flood Victims by TewMuch: 3:17pm On Sep 09, 2010
Wetin concern us with pakistan? They are still even bombing themselves despite their ridiculous situation. How come people arent claiming pakistan was washed or punished for its sins like haiti? Mr. Dangote, try to put your house in order before you go out and show your self to other countries. Even in their present situation Pakistan is still better than Nigeria. There is so much your $2m dollars could do in Nigeria. There are many starving orphans with pressing needs. Heck a lot of kids in the North need free education so that this kind of Boko Haram ignorance can stop. nonsense.
PoliticsRe: What Does Arabic Writing Means On Our Nigeria Currency by TewMuch: 2:21pm On Sep 09, 2010
Who da hell is this Emyah? If Arabic is part of the Nigerian languages, then so is latin. It is a form of calling service for muslims and that is where it ends. Kind of like praying in Latin in catholic churches. Arabic is not our language or part of Nigerian culture. Deal with it.

When the youth fight, you know things have come to a head. Its time to take back the country. The youth represent a very high percentage of the population. If they mobilise and fight, we will see change. There is power in our numbers. We must save food and opportunity for our generations to come. Not mortgage our future to politicians so they can create dynasties that leave us in bondage.

The ambition of former military dictator, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (retd), to rule contest the presidential primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party suffered a setback on Wednesday, as the National Association of Nigerian Students disrupted the inauguration of the his campaign office in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The students, representing different higher institutions in the state, stormed the Oke-Ilewo, Ibara venue of the ceremony, vandalising canopies, chairs and Babangida’s posters.

Our correspondent learnt that though the incident lasted about 20 minutes, banks and other organisations in the commercial area were forced to shut shops, to avoid being attacked.

It took the intervention of policemen from Ibara Division of the Ogun State Command to restore order and prevent the confrontation from escalating.
