greatestman: Thank God some of us know the truth and ready to say it out. |
greatestman: Thank God some of us know the truth and ready to say it out.i guess we owe it to young prospectives. they have to know what they'd be up against when they eventually get into the university. |
Kruzilano: GREAT ACESGreat!!! we are the great Zikites,we are the great Nobles!. |
greatestman: That is were you got it wrong, we over hype first class graduates in public universities (Mind you i am student from public university with CGPA of 4.47 on the scale of 5.0 point in my final year). In public universities we have frustrated Lecturers that are not satisfied with their monthly pay, and secondly the employment selection is base on WHO YOU KNOW factor. But lecturers in private universities are selected base on merit. People with passion for teaching, people that have teaching ethics, people that are delighted to see their students passing, people that are ready to help their students. Why won't the students have good grades? unlike our lecturers in public universities that are forming local champion without any teaching ethics, been harsh to their students, nobody is ready to attend to your personal problem. Why won't you graduate with 4.2 in place of 4.6? please carry your frustration to somewhere else, Not private universities first class graduates they are good they have conducive environment for learning, they have good lecturers etc. Any first class product being it from private, state or Federal universities are good in their on way. (Being it sorting, being it malpractice, being it cramming, being it natural intelligence etc)baba ur anger dey fast lane o!. lol!,Nlanders shaa! i agree with u abeg, have lecturers like that in ma dept(civil engr, unizik). my HOD is the only person that does justice to his course, but odaz are not willing to teach and always ready to mark u down.very frustrated crop of lecturers. repin ma HOD,Engr Dr Aginam. tearing RC design and detailing since 1900. |

reedonne: The SW,ND and SE have trained people who can easily be armed in times of war(and there is also the money to do it), but there havent be any clash between any of these group. Why cant we allow state to own state guard as it is in the US.you have a point there, but one thing u must know is that nigeria is not america. with the tribal, religious, and regional bigotry/differences obtainable in nigeria,u'll agree with me that nigeria is not yet ripe for state police. |
it must be heading for sambisa forest |

Godsglory4: Engineers in the house, please I seek your candid advise: which body is preferable to join between COREN and NSE. Am a graduate of Mechanical Engineering. Kindly state your reason and procedures for joining. I only need those who can give me real and authentic advice/info please.don't tell me u didn't do 'engineer in soceity' as a course in ur second year. this course would have guided u on how to tackle the COREN & NSE dilemma. Go for NSE first |
why would boko haram want to expose/leak the identity of their sponsors? i don't see how they(boko haram)would win this battle against the nigerian govt and eventually actualize their islamic state when their sponsors are in jail. boko haram is not telling us who their real sponsors are and that Australian on the news must be a clone, order wise,he has been compromised. To think the news is coming from saharareporters is enough reason to doubt the authenticity of this information. |
lokito: Op also add this:lol! i only ate a pack of indomie this night, don't have enough strength to laugh abeg, but i'll laugh with the little i have. ribs cracking here! |

Oyinbo man na badè sha o! |
texaco1: I won't be surprised if the fg brings in foreign mecenaries to help the army, but this will further compound the issueseriously i'm beginning to think that this BH insurgency is beginning to overwhelm the NA. |
Don't know how true this story is,but all i can say and of which i'm sure of is that a guy in ma lodge just recieved a call from his friend(a second lieutenant) this evening, telling him that he is quiting the NA,his words- 'baba i dey come back house o!'. he said that he was in hiding as he made the call. according to him, they were attacked by boko boys early this morning. heard him say that this is by far the worst attack carriedout by the BH group on the NA. just hope the NA finally claimed victory in the end. may the good Lord have mercy on this country. #GodBlessNigeria |
Vulu: MANY OLD CARGOES ON NAIRALAND NOWADAYS. LOLlol! if i remain in this thread,i'm gonna laugh ma self into the middle of next year. |

Obinoscopy: Assuming that the reporters were right about the purchase of Shilka weapon, my innocent question is this:Nigeria reporters winning laziest reporters award since 1914 |
koboko69: Good gesture....I hope standard procedures were followed......and not just dumping some girls in the uni cos they escaped from terrorists.E.g # The stowaway boy #2011 post-presidential election riot victims(in the north) #'Go and die' woman(Adams...lol!) #December 25,2011 madala bomb victims Expecting Dr Adadevoh's family to make the list soon. may her soul R.I.P! |

Nl mods haba!, yet to know the criteria that makes a frontpage thread. Any how sha i choose #3[body structure]. make e no be like say na only me waka come. |
Syenite: What u just need to do for urself now is to remain focused and graduate with at least a 2:1. U may nt need any certification to b a Trainee Engineer in d Oil sector. Ur potential employer will assign u roles from which u can choose a career path. A good number of Civil engineers are employed in d Oil and Gas sector.ok. thanks! |
Syenite: Refining and Petrochemicals, R & D. Ur good first degree alone is enough to take u there. Don't waste ur money on any certification for now.good day syenite. i am a civil engr student,in my 4th year actually. i intend to go into the oil & gas sector when i graduate.really need your advice on * where to specialize as a civil engineer *post graduate programs to run when i eventually graduate and *professional/ certificate programs to run as back up to cv thanks. |
xfire: There are many marine specialists (marine advisor, marine maintenance supervisors, mooring masters, etc.) in the Nigerian oil and gas industry. Most marine engineers serve in those capacities in Nigeria.good day xfire. i am a civil engr student,in my 4th year actually. i intend to go into the oil & gas sector when i graduate.really need your advice on * where to specialize as a civil engineer *post graduate programs to run when i eventually graduate and *professional/ certificate programs to run as back up to cv thanks. |
imag5: hmm it good to be here, that list above is cool but as for me electrical and electronics guys have been dominating oil and gas field they fit into anywhere subsea and other technical area, but you forgot to mention NDT technicians, those guys are in high demand like craze coded job cool cash, you work offshore inspecting drilling tools, pipeline, platform etc am a geophysicst but to tell you the truth geoscience no longer sells in nigeria like that simple reason is that most seismic survey as been carried out long ago..so was going on now is drilling and other engineering role ie production.where they recruit 5 geoscientist,50 engineers will be also be recruited you can see the ratio,i have been in the geo-science field but am currently into Asset integrity....via NDT,(am ASNT NDT CERTIFIED IN ET,UT,LPT,RFI,DPI,MT LEVEL 2) though am planing msc in exploration geophysics in uniport.as for experience you can get it anyday any time, you can decide to volunteer..for any small oil and gas coy.good day imag5. i am a civil engr student,in my 4th year actually. i intend to go into the oil & gas sector when i graduate.really need your advice on * where to specialize as a civil engineer *post graduate programs to run when i eventually graduate and *professional/ certificate programs to run as back up to cv thanks. |
