cyril83: And so?Well, he only achieved more than you will ever achieve in your life... RVN is a LEGEND anyday, anytime! |
moremi2008: That's not how most househelps are treated. It might seem like a free-for-all situation but there are actually in-built checks and balances. First, it's hard to find a good househelp and most people that hire them tend to treat them fairly well. Second, if you treat a househelp badly, she will most likely run away. Three, the middleman that matches househelps with families will NOT work with you again if you treat one of the helps badly. Having said this, there are always exceptions, especially when the househelp has nobody to look out for his/her interests. Then you need more exposure. Sorry but in the real world, a large percentage of househelps are treated like slaves. |
adorebee: Summary:7) Since you believe so much in Innoson motors, why don't you and your pals put your money where you mouth is and purchase an Innoson vehicle for yourselves? |
Where is the crash safety information for these vehicles on the Innoson website? Ozonna: Please is there any other Assembly or Manufacturing plant working in Nigeria and owned by 1 man? The answer is NO. Therefore we should all congratulate Mr Innocent Chukwuma for this acheivement.Don't be a dullard. What about the numerous glass and cement factories in Nigeria?
Did you just use the definition of an "assembly line" to talk all that crap?!! Dude... The talk here remains that Innoson is not the original author of his vehicles, he simply imports and puts together.. What he runs here is an assembly point. Now wether its a line or not is left for others to talk about. Can innoson on his own alter the specs of the vehicle like say increase the brake horse power or dashboard design?! The answer is NO!! What he gets from China is what he assembles. Even Ford and GM which are american companies built most of their parts in Asia with/to American specifications... Same goes for a plane. Companies like Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Airbus, makers of the 777 series, fighter jets and dreamliners are all Airplane companies, but the parts that come together to make-up the plane are made by different companies for them. E.g is the Airbus A-380 engines are made by 2 separate companies Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney.. But the specs were designed by Airbus.. Understand!! Most manufacturing companies do not make all the components of their products, but they design the specs themselves and then outsource to a third party manufacturer.
Excellent post! |
maasoap: If hunger strike can work for real, then why not try it? At least, they would have won public sympathy. See what is happening now, the public have seen them as wicked people. What about limiting the number of patients they attend to on daily basis until govt gives in to their demand? What about reducing the number of doctors available in the hospitals (something like shifting) to the extent that the govt will be aware of it, yet won't know how to punish them because they're not completely absent from work. Yet, the patients and the govt will know that something has to be done.So...let me get this straight. You actually expect doctors that work rigorous shifts to go on hunger strike? You actually have no concerns with being treated by a doctor who has not eaten for days? Truly, Nigerians are weird creatures. |
childluck: These doctors have been so unreasonable by embracing strike instead of dialogue in the first place. You cannot hold people to ransom because your job is important, that is unpatriotic. In what way are they better than Policemen and Soldiers who daily loose their lives while defending the nation? Why are those not going on strike or they not Nigerians? Fashola is a real leader and has taken a leadership decision not a political one! I would sacrifice few (788 greedy doctors) to save 17million Lagosians. Fashola is working !!!Do you know the MONTHS of dialogue before any strike? |
And the most pathetic is when a fool calls someone else a fool, were you bringing in age to slight or what?
If you cannot understand written English, I can send my old copy of Queen Primer and Brighter Grammar to you. As for you (subtly) calling me 'fool', I supposed I should be flattered. I know you usually reserve that term for close family members ![]() |
anonimi: Are you saying our IQ and hence capacity to produce quality ferries, is inferior to those of AustraliansI WILL question YOUR IQ if you think manufacturing is only about having high IQs. The Australians are FAR ahead of us technologically, it isn't funny at all. |
ROSSIKE: Can you imagine the audacity of someone like Texazzpete?1) I have never eaten a 'Texas hamburger' before...and my belly is not bloated! Is that a Freudian slip on your part, Mr rotund conspiracy theorist? ![]() 2) At least unlike Mugabe i do not have the blood of thousands on my hands. I sleep easy at night ![]() |
ROSSIKE: More headache for Texazzpete: Zimbabwean economy recovers in a more equitable society!Once again, I have to seriously question your ability to understand written English, even for links YOU post. The article says ROSSIKE: Zimbabweans seem to be benefiting from two straight years of economic growth after the formation of an inclusive government in 2009, according to a new Gallup poll.Clearly putting the credit of an improving economy on the formation of an inclusive government with the MDC. Where does it talk about 'equitable society', especially with respect to land redistribution? If you have issues comprehending written English, let us know. I'm sure my parents still have my old copy of Brighter Grammar stashed away somewhere. PS: Just so you know, even an improving economy now will not wipe Mugabe's ledger clean of the blood of the Zimbabweans that starved to death due to his foolishness. |
ROSSIKE: You seem unable to understand even the basics of the Zimbabwe land issue. You say ''Hundreds of thousands of black farm workers on white farms were forcibly evicted, while Mugabe’s top aides seized prize farmland''.Considering the delay in you posting this rejoinder, i'm deeply disappointed at the brainlessness of it all. First of all, I do not 'say' anything. The info i posted was from a link YOU originally posted, from a South African news agency. In your reply you're actually SUPPORTING the ouster of well trained farm workers by thugs with nearly ZERO farming experience, an act that plunged Zimbabwe into near starvation. You seem unable to grasp the simple fact that these Zimbabwean farms were large scale operations requiring dozens or hundreds of workers for each one. No matter the ownership, farmhands would ALWAYS be needed. What kind of brainless policy would it be to drive away well-trained workeers just because they worked under white owners before? You talk as if it's a crime, forgetting that the farm ownership was FULLY legal before Mugabe changed the laws. Was it a crime for the workers to have worked on a previously white owned farm? Even more laughable is your suggestion that the farmlands were given over to the 'black Elite'. What elite? The farms were apportioned to Mugabe's army veterans and cronies...a group of people that had no elevation above the common man. What is so 'elitist' over a former army private compared to a University professor of Agriculture? Finally, you go and spoil everything by STILL posting links from globalresearch...a website that is run by crackpots. Are you incapable of forming an opinion or argument without guidance from a conspiracy theory website?! I'm sure you still stand with them on the haiti and HAARP conspiracy ![]() |
Aaaaahhhh, another lovely legacy of the "honest man" Buhari. I dey laugh.
...and you missed the part where the article said your 'godly' Goodluck Jonathan is opening similar secret detention facilities for Boko Haram suspects? Please feel free to include GEJ in your laughterfest ![]() |
Dede1: God, please forbid the bad thing. Yoruba peep’s hunger for money had led to the death of a MON. After watching the Yoruba people denigrate others on the love for money, I am stunned to read that Yoruba can not only run mad but kill because of money (owo). The pathetic thing about your case is that unlike many of these teenage tribalists that spread their bile on Nairaland, you're actually a man of advanced age. As old as you are, you can still be this foolish? You know what they say about a f00l at 40...sadly for you you will most likely die a sad, bitter and f00lish man. |
Na wa o! Someone criticizes Joshua and somebody says it's 'blasphemy'. Is he God?!! What do they teach these people in Sunday School these days? |
chuks49: Nobody is saying these doctors doesn't deserve a better working condition, but using the life of sick patients as bargaining chip amounts to taking their gross to a dangerous end.Excellent! Now can you please suggest ONE alternative to strike action to getting what they want? This is how some years back Ekiti state primary school teachers went on hunger strike and prayer sessions because the Nigerians they work their butts for were oblivious to their plight and the Government was not interested in hearing reason. Is that what you want? Oya, ONE alternative |
PHIPEX: 2.What will it look like to see the likes of Wale Soyinkas, Chimamadas, 2face and very many other "idols" get closer to the young graduates and help in correcting our mentality of getting rich quick at any cost or taking to violence at the slightest provocation?2face Idibia?! ![]() |
owobokiri: Lawyers and doctors will never stop their ego wars in 9ja! My car big pass ur own. .You jealous? All the doctors have asked is a reasonable payment scheme. Is it REALLY absurd to pay a Doctor 200k monthly in Lagos State? A doctor that sees an average of 50 patients daily? A doctor that spends his day immersed in disease, death, HIV patients, TB etc? Someone who spent 6 years in School + 1 year housemanship? Is it so BAD for a doctor to expect to recieve some tax breaks for his service to humanity? You folks are quick to insist that doctors owe a service to humanity. What do Nigerians owe them in return? Can you point to any landlord who has voluntarily given someone a discount upon producing his medical license? Greedy Nigerians always want to TAKE, nothing in you to GIVE. I blame the rise of the new generation churches for this mindset. |
RICHIE BOI: God forbid if a loved one close to you had died during this their strike. you wont be talking like this. imagine how many people died because no doctor to attend to any of them.i applaud fashola for this move and immediately recruiting more doctors. you dont toy with human lives.yes! Imagine how many people died because Fashola was soooo unreasonable. Imagine how many people have died because their doctors could not afford to rent a house close to their hospital Imagine how many brilliant doctors have fled Nigeria because the remunerations they were receiving were substandard, despite the fact that they were severely overworked in Lagos State. (seriously, 1000 doctors to 17 million people?!) |
I see you've collected your paycheck from Gov Orji, this one that you're tackling your duties with much renewed vigor. Don't worry, when the revolution comes around, bottom-dwelling sycophants like yourself will also be hung from the nearest lamppost, right beside your sponsors. |
ROSSIKE: Zimbabwe's 'new' farmers finally start to blossomFrom the link you posted Mugabe said the scheme was needed to correct the legacy of colonialism, but the reforms were marred by deadly political attacks against farmers, who saw their land turned into militia bases for ruling party attacks on the opposition. Hundreds of thousands of black farm workers on white farms were forcibly evicted, while Mugabe’s top aides seized prize farmland. Small farmers like Mhembere were often left with little support to finance their operations. Increased harvests Production of both food and cash crops like tobacco plunged, leaving Zimbabwe dependent on food aid and drying up foreign currency reserves. But this year farm officials say harvests actually increased—partly because of good weather and donor support for food production. This is from a South African news organization, you brainless ape! You see the part in Bold font? Let me list them out for you so you see them again for yourself! 1) the reforms were marred by deadly political attacks against farmers, who saw their land turned into militia bases for ruling party attacks on the opposition 2) Hundreds of thousands of black farm workers on white farms were forcibly evicted, while Mugabe’s top aides seized prize farmland 3) Small farmers like Mhembere were often left with little support to finance their operations All these plainly spelt in the article YOU linked to. You see anything about sanctions there? Mugabe's thugs used the arable farmlands as bases, turned out thousands of very very skilled farm workers who were BLACK! The same BLACK zimbabweans dolts like you say he fought for. He threw out experienced BLACK farmers and handed over the farms to illiterate thugs to run. What happened afterwards? As YOUR articles says, production of food and cash crops plunged. Famine and starvation followed next! Mugabe's fists are black with the blood of BLACK Zimbabweans...men, women and Children. Thank you for pointing this out to us. |
ROSSIKE: You're talking a lot of stinking garbage and rubbish. It is YOUR father and mother that are 'apes' you nasty asswipe. I wonder how much the BBC, TONY BLAIR and other imperialist goons have paid you to lie about Zimbabwe. The sanctions were impoosed AGAINST ZIMBABWE, not 'Mugabe's cronies' as the imperialists LIED. Go and read about ZIDERA, which the US Congress in conjunction with Britain, passed in the late 90s banning Zimbabwe from access to international credit facilities which every nation gets. This led to a shortage of all sorts of machinery, equipment, even fertilizers for crops. Is it Mugabe and ''his cronies'' who needs fertilizers? Or is it the people? The be honest, I expected this pathetic response. Even primary 5 kids can abuse people's parents with admirable ease. What I expect of someone your age is an intelligent argument, even as I know you're a notoriously dense fellow on Nairaland. Sadly, you lived up to your reputation as a simpleton with this crazed rant. ROSSIKE: Here's an Eye Opening Article on the Zimbabwe issue NOT told to you by the BBC!!!So for my 'research' you redirect me to a known crackpot website infused with brainless conspiracy theories? The same website alleges that Mutallab's bombing attempt was a 'false flag' CIA/Mossad operation? The same globalresearch site that tells us that the Haiti earthquake was caused by HAARP, an 'American weather superweapon'? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! We're supposed to discard the BBC for an outfit that tells gullible dolts like you that a 'weapon' aimed at the ionosphere is capable of producing a tectonic plate shift which requires more energy than a score of nuclear bombs to achieve?! |
Mugabe is a cruel, despotic tyrant who luckily is not long for this world. I have no beef with him rejigging the land ownership to correct the historical imbalance. but what this ape did to his people was much more criminal. There are at least 5 Universities of Agriculture in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwean lands were fertile and well run. All this accursed crackpot could have done was to give this farms to the well trained graduates of these schools to run, to ensure continuity and ensure Zimbabwe remained the 'foodbasket of South Eastern Africa'. Instead, in a manner reminiscent of Abacha handing out oil blocks to his cronies, Mugabe gave these rich, arable farmlands to his war veterans who were largely boorish, illiterate men with no experience of farming and little desire to continue farming best practices. What happened afterwards? The ex-soldiers left the machines to rust, left the canals to dry, ate all the livestock and crop seed and generally RUINED nearly all the rich farms. Zimbabweans then began to starve. Thousands of Zimbabweans suffered and died because of Mugabe's foolishness, nepotism and reward of incompetence. brainless conspiracy theorists will always point to 'sanctions' but intelligent people are not fooled...they know the sanctions were mainly targeted at the ruling Zanu-PF elite and that mechanized farming equipment and fertilizers were not included in the sanctions. What Mugabe did tantamount to GEJ taking over Obasanjo farms, firing off all the qualified hands and handing over the farms to Ateke Tom and his 'boys'. Disaster. Mugabe has blood on his hands and thankfully will die in likely less than a decade. Unlike mandela, many millions of his countrymen would LOVE to dance on his grave. That is the difference and that is the only comparison point between him and Nelson Mandela. |
BlackBaron: Copilot is free on android albeit under a freemium model. No nigerian maps for copilot...as far as I know. |
igbo2011: Why don't they get Innosonn buses? I gue they love everything foreign SMHGod forbid! |
ndudichukwumah: stil waiting for ur callsSo why then do you want a Walka? |
ndudichukwumah: i hav drifta dstv for sale at d rate of 14k or preferable for a swap for a dstv walka tv....any of d option u can call me 08036156851Isn't 14k the price of a new Drifta?!! |
BlackBaron: An option is Copilot or sygic navigator which gives traffic real time update plus speed cameras. Also do try tiger arcade instead, you'll get more options plus CPS-3 titles and more arcade emusAlready installed Sygic...does a good job but visually, Garmin takes it. I'll try Tiger Arcade, I expect it's compatible with Sixaxis so I can hook it up to my PS3 controller. Reviews of the international HTC One X have been fairly critical of the battery life but HTC has pushed out updates to drastically improve this. My installed custom ROM touts 'great battery life' as one of its features so I hope I have no battery life issues. don't worry, anything in the world is better than the awful, awful battery life of the bold 9900 ![]() |
joeydozzy: So jealous of you right now. How fast is it?Runs pretty snappy, no lag when switching between homescreens (Thank God! Gingerbread andn Honeycomb on Tegra 2 was infamous for this). BlackBaron: Do tell me bout the battery life of your One X. Imma heavy user and my current phone's killing me.Haven't really switched to it as my primary device yet...still winding down on my iPhone. i swear the move is harder than I thought. it would have been much easier if i'd dabbled with the GS II awhile before taking the plunge since that has a 4.3 inch screen. There's a system shock when you move straight from a 3.5 inch phone (iPhone) to a 4.7 inch device. It's much harder to operate one handed though...and I cant seem to find the alphabetical shortcuts in the contacts page so it seems my days of dialling contacts while driving are numbered. I'm trying to get as many of the essential apps as possible...shame about the less rich app selection on Android. It's one thing to talk about 'flexibility' and 'power' of Android but i'd cheerfully swap all the N64, Playstation and CPS2 emulators i've installed here with a working version of Garmin GPS or TomTom for Android...but it doesn't exist. |
4llerbuntu: Brotherly, they were talking about the AT&T version, and the pesin wey post price sef really didnt make any distinction. The person who originally started the conversation about the AT&T version lives in the US and clearly mentioned he Pre-ordered the phone. I'm pretty certain that Puskin and DSCL cannot time travel, so there's a 0% chance that the One X in stock in DSCL is the north American Snapdragon S4 variant. 4llerbuntu: and please dont quote amazon prices, hianI should not quote pricing from the largest online retailer in the world which is famous for price-matching goods to keep prices lower or on par with competing retailers? Dafuq?!! 4llerbuntu: why i dey even answer u sef, i owe u explanation?I have no idea why you're answering me. You were providing misinformation, I provided constructive feedback to you to correct that. Just accept the feedback and move on ![]() |
Rossikk: You're a confused, brainwashed goat. The Arab countries were exporting African slaves to the middle east nearly 1000 years ago. Go and read David Livingstone's accounts on the horrors of the trans-Saharan slave trade and the slave trade to the middle east. it is thought that far more people were taken as slaves through that route than the trans-atlantic slave trade. Does that 'free labour' make the middle east the most developed region in the world? |
