Moddibo Adama was a jihadist, one of Dan Fodio's key lieutenants. he is responsible for the forceful islamization of the tribes in the area now known as Adamawa and the displacement of many others to what is now Cameroun. Adamawa State is named after Adama. Why the heck does GEJ now feel he needs to rename the Yola University again? |
I really wish the OP has focused more on describing the plane's last moments and gone lighter on the dramatic prose in the beginning. Good contribution though. |
bayulll01: Viewing this topic: EkwyWhy do you people do this?!! What value is there in this to you dolts? I've never understood why you folks copy this and paste here instead of actually contributing to any meaningful discussion. |
LeoMax: I doubt if someone like you have bought a brand new car before, you will know the difference between brand new and tokunbo. What stops an airline from buying 3 brand new air planes instead of using same net amount to buy 10 tokunbo planes. May you not die in air crash, Amen.Ignorance will not kill you Nigerians. The 20 years age limit story is a lie, and there's nothing wrong with flying a plane that is more than 25 years old. As long as proper maintenance is done, planes will fly for ages... Direct your anger at the FAAN, NCAA, the carriers and the Ministry of Aviation. Heck, even rope GEJ for appointing an aviation minister that's a square peg in a round hole simply because she's one of his cronies. But please, the age of the planes is a RED HERRING!! |
Guapo: How sure am I you are not an INDIANHow sure am i that you aren't a Boko Haram member? |
Wow pretty impressive of you to suss out that my post was solely addressed to you. What mighty fine job I did too in finetuning your brain Glad to see all hope is not lost and there is still a flicker. . .thank God for "small" miracles too
Please be gracious enough to thank the fellow who pointed out your 'cowboy indians' gaffe. Free education and yet no words of gratitude from you! Smh |
dasparrow: I thought that was a good move. After all, DANA knew the plane was faulty and has been having problems through the week, and was advised that the plane should not fly. The indian manager told them that they should fly the plane all the same. That is gross negligence and if DANA had tried that in USA, their license will be revoked as well. Besides, most countries seldom give foreigners a business license to operate local flights within their country and domain including india. So, I think foreign Shrewd business men should not be given a license to operate in the Nigerian aviation industry. This is just my opinion.1. It is brainless to withdraw Dana's license without any investigation 2. The 'indian management made us fly' story is just an allegation, remember? Whistleblowers NEED to provide evidence. |
LeoMax: All Airlines should be audited, Any airplane older than 10yrs have no place in Nigerian Airspace due to our maintenance culture. DANA airline must be grounded until further notice. There's nothing wrong with flying planes over 20 years old. If someone took you seriously and imposed this brainless law, air travel will come to an end in Nigeria. |
drzed: Look here Mr, we just lost over 150 innocent lives due to the shady practices of an Indian-owned airline, (Dana Air) who were WARNED that their planes were unfit to fly. Yet the idiots refused to listen even when a Gov. called the MD to complain not long ago. So excuse me if I mention Dana Air in my 'stereotype'. You must be rather inconsiderate to ask me to leave Dana Air out of this, actually. Secondly, yes, some white men tend to associate Nigerians with scam because a lot of scam is carried out by Nigerians in Nigeria, West Africa, the UK, the US and even as far away as Malaysia. Does that make ALL Nigerians scammers, hell no! By extension all over the world (e.g. Nigeria, UK, US, Middle East) Indians are known for their shady practices in medical industry. Does that make all Indians shady, hell no. But they do have loads of shady and quack doctors, dont they? They do have coffins in the air called aeroplanes, dont they? Guess where most of our counterfeit drugs in Africa come from....thats right: India! Dont ask me for proof. Google it!This thread is NOT about Dana Air and the Dana Air crash is still under investigation. I suggest you learn how to separate issues and treat them on their own merits. The only thing the administrators of the hospital and the dana air management have in common is that they both are indians. Drawing any conclusion from that similarity is stereotyping and that's stoopid. I mean, you lot get veeeery angry when South Africans point to the massive amount of crime perpetrated by nigerians in SA as evidence that ALL Nigerians should not be trusted. Why the hypocrisy? |
Welcome to Nairaland full of quick-finge.red, but mentally lazy people who when they eventually manage to muster their lacklustre strength to apply their brain to read, still perfectly manage to read things upside down Never come across such a bunch needing spoonfeeding and handholding as Nigerians, yet whom after all has been said and done, still cannot shrug off their blind-following-the-blind/sheep mentality
Wow! I couldn't have described you better myself ![]() |
In another utterly m0r0nic move, the FG has just withdrawn the operating license of Dana Air. See just how clueless this GEJ Government really is? |
Bontee: Geez i only posted an article i saw on the internet and what has it got to do with me and all these undeserved insults. No vex. My grouse is with the people jumping to inane conclusions. |
drzed: Torkaka,Why does someone have to prove the innocence of the hospital? The onus is on the OP and her cohorts to prove the guilt of the indian run hospital. So far there has been ZERO proof. What happened to 'innocent until proven guilty'? Nobody has to 'debunk' any interviews or broadcasts or documents because none has been provided here and might very well be a figment of their imagination. Finally, leave Dana air and your racial stereotypes out of this. With your warped Logic you associate ALL indians in Nigerians with shady practices yet people like you run squealing to Nairaland if a white man insists that you must be a scammer because you're from Nigeria. Pathetic! |
Many of my fellow Nigerians are a bunch of m0r0ns. Someone made an accusatory OP with Zero proof Zero evidence Zero names And everyone has been jumping on the OP and damning the 'quack' Indians. How the heck can you neanderthals make up your minds on an allegation and decide one party is guilty without any concrete evidence? What's the guarantee this isn't just an elaborate demarketing strategy (as someone has said)? Pathetic people! |
warrior101: In that case what are they investigating again? Since we already know that they sold us out dated planes/We bought outdated planes they should cut the BS. We dont need the drama they should just send the affected families some moneyBetter you keep quiet and be thought intelligent than to continue with these inane babbling. Who is the 'we' here? Are you the Dana Air CEO? Does Dana Air belong to all Nigerians? What weed infested dream told you the aircraft was 'outdated'? You think an airplane is a Tokumbo Toyota Camry that becomes outdated after several years? Why is the US supposed to send any money to the affected families? When Russian submarine sank in the ocean, na foreign divers help them retrieve am. Nobody is too proud to ask for help in determining the cause of the accident. luckily for us all, the people who will make this decision will jump at the chance for expert help instead of listening to Grade-A m0r0ns like you and stagger. Luckily for us all, the |
emma bowin: I don't attend the pastor's church neither am i a big fan,but i think majority of his prophecies do come to pass.i read about this prophecy(theory) some weeks back and on June 3rd it was practical. He makes generic prophecies and leaves himself an escape route ("with prayers this can be averted" . Generic prophecies like "There will be a serious road accident" will always come to pass.Remember, this 'prophecy' cannot be said to be true unless it's found that the crash was caused by a 'security breach'. All indications seem to point to poor maintenance on the part of Dana air...so how the heck can you say the 'prophecy came to pass'? emma bowin: My advice is for the Government and people of this country to take such prophecies seriously.Maybe a three day nationwide fasting and prayers would have averted this.yes, nationwide prayers...good job convincing the entire North to drop to their knees and ask Jesus for help ![]() Proper maintenance would have avoided this...why do you lazy people reach for prayers all the time when God has given you the tools? |
ccollins: why do nigerians only learn in a sterotyped fashion to mourn the affluent who died and publicise in a heart laden sorrowful manner because of the death of the wealthy nigeians who died in an plane crash.so what concern and pain have u broadcasted and mourned over your many cunty men who died in car crashed almost evry day on he high way.have u taken due cautions like those taken for those in the plane crash.or is only those in creme de la creme we mourn? what a negative mind set.show love for all nigeriansYou thrice accursed, poverty stricken m0r0n! Only extreme poverty will make someone think everybody flying is 'wealthy' or 'affluent'. |
deboye1986: Am nt an agent, but i work im an hotel whr dis sugamums come to relax every evening. If u r interested, i can hook u up wit any one of them. Dnt be scammed by so called agents. deleted orM0r0nic slowpoke! Stop spamming Nairaland with this idiocy |
valacious: With all these damning evidences. Dana should go.What damning evidence? An unverifiable statement from an anonymous, unnamed 'Dana official'? From sensationalist blog posts that claim issues with the landing gear even though without a landing gear every pilot would choose to do a 'belly landing' on the runway? There are no FACTS at the moment, only speculation. Only an analysis of the blackbox contents will provide any proof. |
Sky Blue: I understand where you are coming from and to be honest I do not mind the pension that much (even if 100 percent is quite high). There should be a safety net for life outside office so that governors can focus on the task of governance. But come on, two houses, one in Abuja one in Rivers? 300% furniture allowance? Its just a tad opulent. Are govenors going to start selling furniture is what I really want to know. The thing seems a little fishy to me.That 'safety net' is called a pension you imbecilic oaf! And that is the same 'safety net' promised every government worker. The position of 'Governor' is an elective position people aspire to. if anyone feels the 'safety net' is not juicy enough why aspire to that office? Why should hundreds of millions of naira be expended on a governor be an insurance against corruption? Why should that be a prerequisite for 'focusing on the task of governance'? Nigerians like yourself are the reason why we can't have nice things. See what you're calling a 'tad opulent'. |
frank pessu: may God 4giv u pple 4 insultin him. jealousi wil kil u al. d bible says a prophet is neva acceptd in his own countri, if he were 2 b a white man i knw u al wud hv beliv himMay God punish you and your ilk for this imbecilic post! You Pastor keeps making these general statements with special clauses saying 'it can be averted'. Are you dolts trying to say nobody on the entire plane said prayers before boarding? Good thing the black box has been retrieved. When an analysis shows that that plane crashed due to technical faults, will you renounce your false Pastor? |
femmy2010: In as much as two wrongs never made a right,i support the Lagos state action of using the sack issue to make our doctors sit up.You people always parrot the same inane statements yet none of you have the balls to provide any concrete info on how the doctors could have sought better conditions of service without going on strike. |
nel76: No comment but it sounds nice to the ears and I see an evil or a foe to that....looking at what happens in our own federal universities "UNN" baffles me to the extent that some first class students goes with nuffin expect promises of so called lecturing job while the outstanding ones(best among best) goes home with less than 75K to 150K and d job. MtcheewWhy do you feel 1st class students are ENTITLED to anything apart from the prospects their degree gives them in the labour market? Of what business is it to the Government? The best thing the Government can do is to drastically improve the standards in our Universities. Establish research centres, place a premium on innovation and sustainable solutions to real world challenges and properly reward lecturers to encourage brilliant graduates to choose a career in lecturing. This is good news for the recipients though...but it must not be construed as evidence of good governance by Uduaghan. |
Albert708: The resent ranking of channels shows that the popular channel emmanuel tv owns by prophet Tb Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nation was rank as the number one most watched christian channel. Here in Nigeria we all known how some of our respected men of God told the government to band healings on our Nigeria stations which we all know that it was Tb Joshua and Pastor Chris that were their target. Thinking they were doing them bad on knowing to them that they were about to promote their ministry from local to worldwide ministry statistics show that Tb Joshua ministry recieve visitors all over the world as pigrims more than Isreal what a greatness. http://wwitv.com/television/154.htm http://www.emmanuel.tv/feedback.htmlPlease beg TB Joshua to pray for you...your grammar is simply atrocious! Instead of you to be begging your parents for forgiveness for wasting their money on educating you, you're babbling about Emmanuel TV. Smh. |
careytommy: People usually say 'I broke up...' When they end a relationship. Because 'third parties' put an end to your relationship, is that why you wrote 'I'm broken'?There's nothing wrong with 'I'm broken' you bl00dy m0r0n! Better educated people than yourself regularly use words like 'I'm crushed' or 'i'm gutted' to describe their feelings of dejection. Blockhead! |
Eko Ile: Yes they did so what? Does that mean the greedy doctors are getting what they went on strike for? NO. So if the like, go back and if they don't, they can stay away forever? So Doctors asking for what their counterparts in LUTH are getting suddenly makes them 'greedy' abi? i'd say it's greedy Government and GREEDY people that want to retain chronically overworked doctors on an inferior salary to their peers. |
banqkool: bros why u dey spoil my marketThen you shouldn't have used pics of the 3G Vita in your OP...but it's ok. I see it's the wifi version in your description |
ritchboy: Hey man, your Vita bored you to death yet?Excellent handheld but it's gathering dust somewhere...i'm much too busy these days. Gravity rush? I still have Uncharted and Mortal Kombat to finish ![]() |
CuteTj: i didnt say we shouldnt request for better pay because we all need it but If you are an employer, will you let your employees order you around? Fashola did what he did to avert the total breakdown of law and order in the Civil Service. Now the recalled Drs will soft pedal and won't request for a pay rise for the time being. Thats the strategy Fashola employed to make them back down.Employees expect their employers to keep to agreements. You Nigerians are soooo used to the 'Yessir Oga' culture that you cannot see that there is a need for mutually respectful relationship between employer and employee, especially when the employee works in a highly specialized field. The doctors will NOT backpedal for their demand for full CONMESS implementation. Asking for the right thing to be done is NOT the same thing as 'ordering your employer', especially when an agreement has been made. Hopefully now Lagosians will learn the importance of having doctors around... |
Odunnu: One other leadership attribute attributed to GEJ- Accessible. I guess thats why people run their mouth. They've taken this positive attribute for grantedSo the words of a government flunky should be taken as gospel truth now abi? LMAO! I think the word most Nigerians would prefer to use (for good reason) is 'clueless'. |
Before you buy a 3G Vita, confirm the origin. A US 3G version is locked to AT&T and the 3G functionality is useless in Nigeria |
So...you imported the more expensive 3G version from the US knowing fully well that the 3G is locked to AT&T and is USELESS in Nigeria? Why do you people do these things? I hope nobody is deceived into buying this on the strength of the 3G functionality. |
