Sagamite: You are a person!Don't mind these m0r0ns. I see you've been trying hard to teach them common sense since...you have to realize at some point that some people cannot be educated! |
IFBaby: What sanusi did was very wrong, he should have atleast postpone the ceremony to give them their last respect, l never really liked that manYou obviously never minded common sense too. The ceremony is carried out by the Emir of Kano and NOT Sanusi. if the Emir of Kano did not postpone (and why should he? What business does the Emir of Kano have with CBN?) why should Sanusi not show up? Let the dead bury the dead and move on with your life. You folks are sooo pathetic! |
uncleb: I cant agree the less with you.So why don't you m0r0ns direct your complaints and criticisms to the Emir of Kano who OWNS the ceremony? |
The Fuel Subsidy report was highly critical of the marketers and the NNPC. Since when did these two groups become 'the Government' that the Lawan committee 'wanted to embarrass'? |
1. Sanusi was a Kano prince before he became CBN Governor. His life as a Prince is separate from his job as a CBN Governor 2. Only the Emir of Kano has the power to postpone, not Sanusi. I swear, anyone who does not understand these basic facts and turns around to blame Sanusi is a m0r0n! |
U hv only heard from d child. Have u heard d father's version so as to have a balanced view of wat happened b4 passing judgment? Do u knw what retorts and comments and insolence d daughter may hv made to push d father over d wall? Recall it started as an argument. Don't be quick to judge.
If you had paid more attention to your English classes in school, you'd have been able to comprehend the section where the article states that the 'assault' claim was backed up by the elder daughter who is over 18 (an adult!). I have to question the hypocrisy of you folks that will open topics here to tell us that there's no reason for a man to beat a woman yet you're here looking for possible explanations for someone choking and punching a child. pathetic. |
lakesideng: First, I am not a fan of Creflo Dollar but I want to pass this across. It break my heart when I read posts like this and comments that follow. I really don't know why it is difficult for us to hear good news about pastors and other notable leaders but we are quick to hear bad news or mistakes about them. Are you high?! The OP clearly states that the daughter accused him of choking her, slamming her on the ground, punching her and beating her with a shoe. The story has since been corroborated by a witness (his other daughter). So what is this rubbish you're writing about 'getting the details'? Why should the castigation NOT come from fellow Christians? Is it not Christians who should be the first to apply the gospel of LOVE in their lives and their dealings with others? Who else should be more concerned about this? Atheists? Buddhists? Are you even a Christian sef? This fellow has been arrested for bodily assault. Get your head around the fact that he is a human being and is subject to the laws of the land before whining about him being a Pastor. |
stagger: Were you there? Police everywhere in the world always have a way of spicing up stories to make themselves look good. Were YOU there? So who the heck told you it was a 'simple act of corporal punishment' you hypocrite? |
slimdiggi: Too much somali weed...America shud stop infering in Somalia, they dont want help, the last they did during clinton's time 19 american soldiers were brutally killed and their bodies draged thru d streets...and over 1000 somalis lost their lives that night. Those Delta force and Army Rangers didn't go easily ![]() |
Chinom: @Kobojunkie, May i refer you to an earlier comment by Texazzshit.Quote "with the strange middle name (unless someone's keyboard stuck!) " Maybe you can begin to understand my response. Try to be objective.Pity you don't know how to read simple English if not you'd have seen where I CLEARLY STATED that those comments came from the CNN.com article comments section. Try to be sensible sometimes. |
daylae: well, there are few things that are usually responsible for planes falling from the sky: >human error(either from the manufacturers, maintainance engineers,or the pilots etc)>bad maintainance>the age of the plane(due to depreciation)>bad wheather. But the age of a plane is a prime factor, even with good maintainance. No matter how beautifully you patch an old cloth, you can't turn it into a new one. Why do you think that old and tired planes are bought to fly in our skies here? Its because they are less expensive, which shows they need high level of maintainance that sadly are not given. Can you PLEASE refrain from speaking confidently of things you know little about? American Airlines in the UK flies 197 MacDonnell Douglas planes. Average age of these 197 planes is 20.4 years The US Air Force has transport and refuelling planes that are over 40 years old. The last B-52H bomber was delivered to the US Air Force in 1963. The B-52 bomber fleet is now 49 years old. The US Air Force plans to fly these planes up to 2040 - 2044 when they'll be 83 years old. And that isn't the exception. So don't feed us this bullcrap line of age of plane being a prime factor. With poor maintenance or any other factor, even a new plane will crash. The Air France plane that crashed off the coast of Brazil was just 4 years old and was massive overhauled (making it as good as new) just months before it crashed. 216 people died that day Best you focus on the real issue which is poor maintenance culture and remember that an airplane is NOT a car |
All those American worshippers, see comments posted on CNN With all due respect to this african's loss, he has obviilsy being swayed by a sleezy US lawyer. Notice how he is not sueing the african airline knowing full well that these african airlines survive on the smell of an oil rag and dont have 2 cents to rub together. No, he is going after the big bucks - the plane's manufacturer. The truth is that these african airlines dont maintain their planes properly, if at all. Getting onto one of them is a gamble with your life. That is why the vast majority of them are not allowed into European airspace, and, if history is followed, with good reason. I think it's high time that American courts impose a fine on opportunistic lawsuits, they are a waste of taxpayers money and the courts time. A bit quick off the mark isn't he? This individual's obviously leapt on the chance of a few bucks - even before the dust has settled! What about leaving a decent and respectable amount of time Mr. Allison? This Mr. Allison - with the strange middle name (unless someone's keyboard stuck!) - has to be American or has spent time there. Only there would anyone consider 'suing' everyone in sight over something like this. Accidents happen for God's sake! If you don't want to risk an air crash, don't get on a plane! At least leave things for a decent time afterwards. His wife is not buried as yet but he could submit a 56 page complaint to satisfy his greed. he should get $1.00 That lawyer probably called all the families of the 153 who died... and then did the best they could to convince them to sue. This guy was probably the only one who bit. |
Chinom: You should'nt have bothered responding to that i-d-iot called "Texazzpete". he thinks calling everybody an slowpoke makes him intelligent. He is a man with deep inferiority complex.Ignorant dolt! We have ambulance chasers here in Nigeria too. They'll be bound to pop out too...you think Nigerian lawyers aren't sniffing around this tragedy too? If you had any brains you'd join the rest of us normal human beings to ensure that the right thing is done to prevent a similar tragedy like this from happening again. Instead in your infinite imbecility you're cheering on a lawsuit against the plane manufacturers and Alaska air while 90% of the planes flying in Nigeria are not even the same make as the one that crashed. Also the fact that such a lawsuit is in bad taste (especially when the cause of the plane crash has not been determined) does not seem to resonate in your thick skull. This lawyer is even suing the pilot's estate...how fair is that? I take pains to argue with and educate a dunce like yourself...please don't make me feel this is a wasted sacrifice. |
CHESSBOARD: You shut ur mouth, are you saying you r more intelligent than that man, he knows why he sue them. Hey dont even go their this man in question is so vexed and sueing a manufacturer is the least he can do to quench his anger, Nigger he lost his loved one for some bu1lsh!it reasons. What 'bullsh!t' reasons?! What do you know? The investigation is ongoing...anything before that concludes is just pure hearsay. We all know why the man is suing them...and it all leads to dollar signs. Happily enough, the chances of him winning anything are really remote. Suing a manufacturer is not 'the least' he can do to quench his anger. Why didn't the victims of the tanker fire deaths in Lagos go and sue Toyota or Honda? Are their family members any less 'vexed'? You keep exposing your imbecility the more you make this brainless argument. |
othenok: He should go for it. I bet this case would bring to light a lot of things that would have ordinarily be swept under the carpet in Nigeria. Those that think d guy is looking for money i dont blame you guys. Ignorance has eaten deep into the minds of most NigeriansImbecility has eaten deep into your mind if you think a lawsuit against Alaska Air and Boeing would 'bring to light things that have been swept under the carpet in Nigeria'. This lawsuit is nothing more than a greedy cash grab by aviation ambulance chaser Gary Robb... |
chatterly: Please read, this is what happened after an earlier crash in 2000 involving an MD 83 owned by Alaska airlines, the full article is on wikipedia. This was an entirely different scenario. A full investigation was carried out then and that investigation determined a poorly lubricated screw was the root cause of the issue. Alaska air had extended the time between lubrication of that part, in part based on a recommendation by Boeing. This the cause could be directly traced to Alaska Air and Boeing had to settle too. That was AFTER a full investigation was carried out...nobody sued before the cause of the crash was ascertained. That is the crucial difference many people here are too brainless to understand. |
The man suing is just a GREEDY BASTARD, quote me anywhere. The lawyer is just a vulture, an ambulance chaser that probably called up all the other families he could reach enticed them to sue. This Chukwunonso Allison was just the first greedy guy to fall for it. Why sue Boeing and Alaska Airways? What role do they have to play in the Dana crash? Why the flaming heck would he sue the estate of the dead pilot, when the pilot from all accounts was a highly experienced fellow who lost his life along with others in unclear circumstances? ollyruffy: Yes! Some people need to answer series of questions concerning this mishap. From Boeing to NCAA to FAAN to Minister of Aviation to FGN to Dana Airlines etc. The man has decided to sue from the top. So be it.There are no questions to be answered YET you dolt! When the investigation is done, THEN questions can be asked. Suing right now without any evidence whatsoever is just plain foolish and comes across as a greedy bid for cash for the husband. Chinom: Mr. Gary Robb, a Kansas City based AVIATION ATTORNEY certainly thinks that Chukwunonso Allison has a case. So all you dimwits here mouthing off over Igboman and money should shut up.A professional 'ambulance chaser' thinks he has a case and you're surprised?! imbecilic dolt! What do you expect Mr Robb (who probably called up all the family members he could reach to entice 'em to sue) to say? Some of you astound me with your ignorance of life issues. |
puskin: U no serious??I'm serious ![]() Bawss1: Your reason for selling would be. . .?No particular reason. i'll vacation briefly in europe and I wanna take another look at the GS3...i'd like to remain flexible in case i prefer that one. I know i can always get another One X from gumtree so i don't have THAT much to lose if I do sell it. Just a spur of the moment thing, I probably may change my mind anyway ![]() BlackBaron: Why you selling so quick? Mine's arriving on the 26th...read few reports bout terrible battery life. Do tell why so I know which to getNah, HTC has pushed out some updates that boosts battery life to acceptable ranges. Of course that's for the European tegra 3 version. The US S4 version has great battery life |
GEJ is conscious of what his Presidency means for the Ijaws. They have struggled for many decades, along with the Ogonis, to correct the systemic economic discrimination against their land and peoples. In developed countries, landowners are issued monthly checques for use of their land (land lease) to explore and mine oil. In addition, they are also issued monthly checques as rolyalty (sometime as high as 15%) for sale of the mined product. Furthermore, the leasing oil enterprise is responsible for all the land management (waste disposal, toxic control, water quality test, etc. . . ) Why can't the landowners in Niger Delta enjoy the same rights as their counterparts in other parts of the globe? In the helm of governmental control and authority, GEJ is trying to correct the wrongs. However, he also realise the consequence of his actions. . . .the Ijaw nation will never smell the corrider of power for perhaps another 50yrs after him. So it is imperative that while it lasts, he sqaunders the largese on his ethnic people by giving them posts and power.
Bullcrap. There are other countries in the world apart from the US, you know. There's no such largesse in Russia and China, for example. The trillions of Naira funneled to the Niger Delta to 'correct the wrongs' over the past decade have largely been eaten by their leaders which the people turn around to adore and worship. See how many Deltans and Bayelsans idolize Ibori and Alams even after massive theft of state resources. Money for development is stolen at all levels in the Niger Delta. I have a long standing challenge with people on Nairaland from the Niger Delta to point to ONE thing their Local Government chairman has done. Of the billions sent to local governments to carry out grassroot development programmes, virtually 95% of it is stolen without remorse. Sadly, the educated ones like yourself are far more content spreading the same lazy arguments instead of taking the fight to many of the true oppressors. |
Next2Bezee: Really Disappointed by The last of us (Uncharted ripoff lol)Ok, someone tell me how you can possibly be dissapointed in one of the most standout, talked about games of E3 2012? |
ijigbamigb: •Minister of Communication Technology Mobola Johnson decried the insentive manner the use of communication gadgets were deployed. “A few hours after the incident, causes were speculated. A victim’s wife got to know about the crash through BB used to spread manifest. Nigerians should be responsible as we use the technology.”So we were supposed to wait for NTA to finish showing Sesame Street first abi? ijigbamigb: •Minister of Interior Abba Moro described the incident as unfortunate. “God will grant President Jonathan the courage to weather the storm”. He commended rescue workers and assured that the panel’s recommendations will address many issues. Is this minister on crack?!! Is GEJ the bereaved party? He will just accept it the way he's accepted the thousands that have been slaughtered by Boko Haram and sleep soundly |
Anyone interested in buying my HTC One X? Clean condition, less than a month used, rooted, unlocked bootloader, custom ROM ready ![]() |
Let the FG reduce taxes the airlines pay on each ticket sold. Low profit margins make these carriers to cut corners to remain profitable. Handing over 40% of ticket sale price as tax is way too high! |
You have become so used to calling people names anytime their perspectives differ from yours. This has become damn too boring. The dude gave an account of an eye witness's story, but instead of using your own account to counter his, you had to display your usual condescending attitude by telling him how imbecilic the mofo is. As for me, I heard the plane might have landed without much damages if not for the Mango tree which made it swerved and rammed into some buildings. I will appreciate your own account tho.
A mango tree made a multi-ton plane moving at high speed 'swerve'? What next, you'll claim a chicken diverted a flatbed truck? You're as brainless as the previous guy
i think the mango tree broke off one of the plane's wings. Either that or the wing sustained some damage when it sheared through the mango tree.
Finally, someone who makes sense! A plane wing hitting a mango tree will either snap off or shear through the tree depending on the velocity of the aircraft. |
gogomotet: you re talking about idea in tech what about current trends. Research in motion is at it's low in market share at $9 they re no way able to acquire facebook or even its subsidiaries.I suggest you re-read my post again. If you still feel your post is apt after that, sue your English teacher. |
auwal87: You really under estimate Google and Apple, don't you?Apple is NOT richer than the US government. They have more cash on hand, that's all. Google's current value isn't anywhere near Microsoft and Apple. And this isn't 'Dungeons and Dragons' or 'bakugan' where more cash means you can easily acquire. Microsoft failed to take over Yahoo some years back even though MS was worth much more than Yahoo. The acquisition cost to swallow a big fish like Facebook cannot be stomached by Google and definitely will be a tough buy for Apple. |
Onlytruth: Ok. Here is my take.SO you're saying Massob should stand down until they are willing to start bombing, kidnapping and murdering all perceived enemies abi? I hear you. Biafra is a dead dream. holding on to the Biafran flag is treasonous. It's about time the Massob folks were arrested and tried for treason. That is my humble opinion. |

fm7070: yes, there is an open space close to the place. You know, sometimes I am dumbfounded by the imbecility of some of my fellow Nigerians. Has this olodo quoted above ever seen an airplane before? Can a Mango tree 'hold back' a massive plane moving at over 200 kmph? How can a plane that hit a 2 storey building be held back by a mango tree? Have you ever seen a mango tree before? Dammit, man, this has to be one of the most inane theories/rumour i've seen on this, and it paints you (and the education you've received) in a very very bad light. |
This is a laughable topic posted by someone with little knowledge of the tech industry. To stage an acquisition of facebook will cost tens of billions of dollars...cash Apple, google and Microsoft will be loathe to spend. if you want to see a company that is increasingly moving towards 'takeover territory', look no further than Research in Motion. |

email scams. In these scams, a scammer uses the name of someone who died in the crash to lure unsuspecting victims into sending money to the scammer by claiming the crash victim left huge amounts of unclaimed money in a foreign bank account. The names of Morris Thompson and Ronald and Joyce Lake were used in schemes unrelated to them.[27][28]
