ichommy:And we accept this as the right thing? That the money received for development of a state where tax-paying citizens reside is tied to the political party the state governor belongs to? Absolute rubbish. Anyway, we all know the 'gains' Anambra has received from the PDP so far - Sorrow, tears and Blood! |
kosovo:I do not know what you have been smoking, but Halo:ODST did not have mediocre graphics. not spectacular, yes, but it had good, solid graphics. Since when did having stunning visuals become a criteria for being a good game, anyway? Nothing wrong with the storyline either. It's not as if Resistance and Killzone have epic stories too. As for having a short campaign, there's also immense value in the multiplayer. As we saw from Call of Duty 4 and MW2, short campaigns doesn't always translate into a bad game. A decade in the gaming industry is just 1999. I have been a gamer since 1990. That's 19 years to you, sonny boy. Graphics isn't everything. That's why Mario Bros on the Nintendo DS is a better gaming experience than LAIR on the PS3. And that's why the DS is handily beating the PSP silly! |
kosovo:HDR lighting has been in use even on the original xbox. it's nothing new. Read the article again; they say the solution they came up with is only feasible on the PS3's Cell architecture. Anyone could as well come up with an alternative method to achieve much the same thing on the 360's x86 CPU architecture. it seems Sony keeps making a deliberate attempt to focus their first party devs on graphics, keeping them in the oven for much longer than their rivals to apply a level of visual polish that would enable such fanboyish trolling. For example keeping Killzone 2 in development for 4 years in an attempt to match the visual quality of the E3 2005 tech demo. Truth be told, on a purely visual level both the PS3 and Xbox 360 are on par. For example, konami have since stated that MGS: Rising on both the PS3 and 360 will look better than MGS4. yet only a year earlier, PS3 fanboys were claiming that MGS4 'couldn't be done' on the Xbox 360. We'll see a definitive answer when Final Fantasy comes out in North America for the 360 and the PS3. At least this time the lead engine has been the PS3, so nobody's gonna come complaining about lazy developers ![]() |
a1uc:lol. i'd already told him, but i guess he deserved to have the bomb dropped on him ![]() Did you choose to upgrade to the higher end Core i7 or was the config just like that when you bought it? I read that on a price-to-performance ratio it was not too great to spring for the 2Ghz Core i7 as against the 1.83 820 version. and i think it's a $500 difference in the upgrade. Couldnt you have put the extra dough to spring for a Geforce 2xx series SLI upgrade? |
a1uc:Why are the scores for the processor different from when you ran it with the SSD? an 0.3 change is no beans. Please explain. |
oyb:Yeah, similar to what HP did on on the Envy 15 series. That external battery could allow it hit that battery benchmark, especially if it's a 12 - 15 cell unit ![]() |
oyb:1. No Core i7 laptop will boast up to 22 hrs battery life. in fact, no core i7 laptop will reach 10 hrs even on a 9 cell battery. 2. The core i5's are about as power hungry as the higher end core 2 duos. You'd require a pretty huge battery pack to even hit 12 hrs on a latter model Core 2 Duo. i'm pretty sure those laptops are specced up to the i5 and i7s, with lower end models with Core 2 Duos that can hit that battery limit. Besides, any laptop with that kinda long life will either lack a discrete GPU, or use a switchable solution. You'll never be able to use any GPU intensive app and hope for long battery life at the same time ![]() |
oyb:lol Sell you laptop and get an Asus G73 like i will Core i7 1TB HDD (2x 500GB 7200rpm HDDs) 8GB RAM AMD Mobility Radeon 5870 (DirectX 11 GPU!!) with 1GB GDDR5 VRAM 17.3 inch 1080p LED backlit screen Windows 7 home premium (x64) 8 in 1 card reader, SD,MMC,MS,MS-Pro,xD,mini SD w/ adapter,MS-Duo,MS-Pro Duo via adapter I/O Ports * 1 x Microphone-in jack * 2 x Headphone-out jack (S/PDIF) * 1 x VGA port/Mini D-sub 15-pin for external monitor * 4 x USB 2.0 ports * 1 x IEEE 1394 port * 1 x RJ45 LAN * 1 x HDMI * 1 x E-SATA And all for $1645 = N247,000. ships in February 2010 - and that will be my next laptop ![]() |
xtremeidea:Try buying an SSD higher than 160gb and you'll bleed. His specs are fully in line. Do you even know what an SSD is? That's d first core i7 desktop here so far. Good! I'll buy a core i7 laptop next month couples with a radeon mobility 5870 (a direct x 11 card) and smoke this page! |
platinumnk:Sent you an email! |
Mekusxyz:Seeing as how they quoted a member of the House verbatim, what exactly is there to doubt? |
cap28:And where's your proof that this was made up by the FBI? So now it isnt just the CIA and Mossad, it's now the FBI too? Which other agency will you nuts rope into this grand 'conspiracy'? PETA? FERMA? NYSC ![]() And what about the messages from Al Qaeda claiming responsibility on several islamist websites? Are they from the FBI and CIA too? If so, why would those american agencies exhort islamists to 'kill westerners and butcher the crusaders'? The intelligence chiefs are political appointees. Why then would they have any reason or motive to 'embarrass Obama' as many of you clowns have opined? And given the inevitable roasting the CIA would receive for failing to prevent this from happening, why would they set this up? In all crimes, a motive has to be established and so far there's no logical motive. But then again, we've already established that you clowns aren;t in this for the logic. cap28:Jairzinho has already answered you nicely on this issue, but learn to be honourable in your arguments and accept where you are wrong. You insisted that the CIA set up Al Qaeda in the 1980s, and we all know that's untrue. You just pulled that one out from between your buttcheeks ![]() cap28:Don't make me laugh in Swahili! So you even know what 'factual evidence' means, abi? oya, tell me what the factual evidence linking the CIA and Mossad to this plot to blow up the plane. Put it in list form so i can easily tear it apart point by point. 'factual evidence'! LMAO!! |
plot thickens^^^^. . . this story has too many holes in it to make sense. . too many intelligience agents knew about this misguided kid for him to have pulled this off by himself. .
he didn't 'pull this off by himself', silly. he was trained and aided by Al Qaeda. I don't know how you come about your conclusions. All i see is people trying desperately to feed their overactive imaginations. The article you posted merely says that he popped up on the radar - as did thousands of others. All the article confirms is the key reason why Mutallab managed to slip through all the intelligence cracks: The sheer size of the databases or people under surveillance. |
Mekusxyz:You know what i meant . |
Enjoyment1:it concerns a high profile Nigerian apprehended in Schipol airport after checks and screening proceedures instituted post-Mutallab's suicide bombing attempt. This will only reinforce the negative impressions of Nigerians in Amsterdam, and it can be used as vindication for tough screening measures for Nigerians. As such, it belongs in the politics section. Not my fault if your small brain couldn't get past the words 'nigerian footballer'. i'm sure if a Nigerian Footballer guns down Obama you'll be demanding that the post gets moved to the 'Sports' section. |
Ask this idiotic writer if in his days of Christian 'extremism' he ever considered actions to deliberately kill 289 people in a gruesome manner. |
vikiviko:two conflicting statements. if it's 'impossible', why do you hope it isn't true? look, it's already made the news. And it's simple. he was caught with fake passports. Where he spends his immediate future (athens or a dutch jail) depends on how good his explanations and excuses are ![]() |
I'm waiting to see what the american govt will do about this, sweep under the carpet i guessed?
This is no breaking news, the men have been in Pakistani police custody since mid december. And the US Government is extremely interested in the matter. There are plans underway to try the suspects in the US on terrorism charges. However, it is worth noting that these guys - unlike mutallab- were not caught in any actual criminal act. Why would you think the US would sweep this under the carpet, anyway? |
hubreality:don't forget our deal. |
na wa o! Even highly placed people like this international striker dey involved in this kind of shyte? This has to be as a result of the increased scrutiny on Nigerians travelling through Schipol Amsterdam - and the fact that they've netted a semi-prominent Nigerian so soon after commencing the increased scrutiny will make the dutch feel vindicated. |
http://www.supersport.com/football/article.aspx?headline=Nigerian%20footballer%20arrested%20in%20Amsterdam&id=328306 Victor Agali, a Nigerian-born footballer for Greek club Levadiakos, has been arrested at Schiphol airport near Amsterdam for carrying two fake passports, Dutch military police said on Monday. "At passport control, on December 27, he (Agali) was found to be in possession of a fake passport," said gendarmerie spokesman Robert van Kapel. Upon further investigation, the 31-year-old striker in transit at Schiphol on a voyage from Lagos to Athens, turned out to have two sets of fake travel documents, said Van Kapel. "In the one, the page with his personal particulars has been modified, in the other it was the visa," he said. A judge will decide on Monday whether to extend the footballer's provisional detention for further investigation. Agali has played for French teams like Marseille (1996-97), Toulon (1997-98) and Nice (2004-2005), as well as Germany's Schalke 04 (2001-2004). On Christmas Day, a 23-year-old Nigerian was arrested in the United States for the botched bombing of a Northwest Airlines plane bound for Detroit from Schiphol. |

Mavor:he hasn't played ANY of the games on this list. |
kosovo:Stop trolling over a make believe friend ![]() And ODST got 83 on Metacritic. That's a good score. |
kosovo:Wrong. That's Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo, the creator of the Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Star Fox and Pikmin franchise. Believe me, even Kojima knows this. |
So what record did he break? We castigate Nigerian newspapers for their sensationalist headlines, yet we do the same thing if given the chance. |
puskin:If the people voted for him and he won fair and square, he deserves his mandate. Simple as that. All those castigating Sanusi are full of crap! |
Na today? When some people opened a thread here in nairaland claiming to 'feel sorry' for mutallab's, I was wondering if they truly had no idea of the havoc this miscreant has caused us. The UK authorities are merely being safe, I have no issue with the whole idea of the strip search thingy. Sure, it's degrading, but they'd rather do that than allow any potential terror threat through. May Mutallab (Curses Be Upon Him!) reap the fruit of the chaos he and his murdering band have sowed. |
cap28:1. Mutallab claimed from the start that he was trained and equipped by Al Qaeda in yemen 2. Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attack. The statement was posted online on several islamist websites. And lest you muppets think it was a CIA plot, the message also strongly exhorts other muslims to kill Westerners in the region as part of the war against the 'crusaders. cap28:Al Qaeda was not in existence in the 1980s, and has NEVER been funded by the CIA. Speak of things you know of, instead of showing off your ignorance. cap28:I take available, verifiable data and then think creatively. YOu people on the other hand make up the base data or swallow unverifiable data as the base of all your assumptions. And that's idiocy. |
Lagosboy:Sane voices in the islamic world should be preaching against a Jihad that encourages the slaughter of innocent civillian non-combatants, not blaming every attack perpetrated by islamic extremists as a conspiracy between the US and the 'zionists'. |

You clearly copied this from somewhere. I can bet you haven't played half the games on this list.
