He appealed to Ngige to return to the PDP because “hooligans and rogues that dominated the party in Anambra State had been chased out and sentenced to hard labour.”
Yay! Igbos join the PDP and experience no more marginalization!!
He said he would deploy the same skills that he used as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria in fixing the problems of Anambra State.
In other word, cozy up to the rogues and fail to take decisive action when the shit hits the fan so as to avoid upsetting the apple cart, eh? |
@Knowall And the article clearly states that 'Soludo left the hall with his supporters' I do not think that the 'supporters' in question were well behaved clergymen. The debate called for all the candidates. It's not too hard to imagine that Obi saw two people (Ngige and Soludo) and imagined that the others were yet to arrive. Either way, there's no moral high ground for any of the candidates. it was silly for Obi to come late, and it was equally silly for Ngige and Soludo to walk out out of spite. |
@Knowall The article clearly stated that Obi was the first to arrive before he left. |
kosovo:Kosovo Provide your source. it's extremely bad practice to do this without linking to the source where you mined your data. Please modify your post ASAP and i'll respond. |
kosovo:Kosovo You used VGCHARTZ as a source in your article on PS3 outselling Xbox 360. Why the hypocrisy now? I refer to the article in this link below https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-368412.0.html#msg5140966 |
All of you clamouring for any kind of revolution should limit it to your back yards and spare the South East or else . . . . . After tribalizing the Nzeogwu revolution and supporting the genocide against Ndi Igbos . . . Some hypocritical elements are now crying foul in the same Nigeria they defended . The unfolding events in Nigeria are just the beginning, by the time we get to Malachi, all of you that fought against Biafra would be asking for your own nation;unfortunately, such call would be futile at this stage. Good Morning One Nigeria!!!
Biafra is many years ago. i'm pretty sure that less than 10% of Nairalanders were alive during the war. So why speak about 'hypocrisy' and 'people that fought against Biafra'?Progressive minded people should be talking about how to move Nigeria forward instead of dragging us back constantly to the Civil War. PS: You must admit that it wasn't much of a stretch for anyone to 'tribalize' the Nzeogwu coup. Perhaps they should have included a few less Igbo plotters and killed a few more Igbo elite. Either way, it's history now. |
kosovo:Exactly 'Starting at'. That's the price for the cheapest version. The 2010 Accord starts at $18000. Does it make sense to insinuate that all Honda Accord models cost $18000? |
kosovo:Nice try buddy. However, it must be noted that the PS3 just got a price drop to $299. And as far as bundle deals are concerned, Sony outed a PS3 Slim 250GB model with Uncharted 2. Microsoft NEVER bundled the 360 with 6 games and 2 pads for $299. Where in the world did you get that info from? The 'microsoft banned 1 million people from Xbox Live' argument is pretty lame. Microsoft have NEVER released any numbers yet, but it's inconceivable that that number is factual. In fact, the piracy existing on the 360 platform makes their strong software sales pretty significant. When you take away all those 360 owners playing ripped copies of Modern Warfare, the legit sales are even more impressive. You also fail to take into consideration the growing number of people buying the PS3 primarily as a cheap Blu-ray player. Good job dodging my analysis on Uncharted 2's sales ![]() Also, you must know that the 360 - PS3 install base in the UK are pretty close. So how do you explain the fact that 360 versions of multiplatform titles have been outselling their counterparts on the PS3? PS: You do make a good point. I should have specifically mentioned i was talking about the US market. |
lol how do you people even know that the products from these 'refineries' are suitable for use in our vehicles? Either way, it is laughable to claim that these people are 'refining' anything other than stolen crude. Funny how Nigerians give that silly defence of criminality all in the name of economic adversity. So because times are hard, stealing is permitted abi? |
More info. http://www.chart-track.co.uk/index.jsp?c=p/software/uk/latest/index_test.jsp&ct=110032 In the UK sales charts for the week ending December 12, again we see Xbox 360 versions of multiplatform titles happily outselling the PS3 versions. This is in games such as Assassin's Creed II, Modern Warfare 2, Fifa 10 and WWE Smackdown. Only in NFS: Shift did the PS3 version outsell the Xbox 360 one. Despite the presence of many bundle deals, the stellar Uncharted 2 only managed a 29/40 spot in the top 40 chart in the UK, finishing just above HALO: ODST despite the fact that ODST had been released a month earlier than Uncharted 2. While Sony's PS3 software only accounted for 6 games in the top 40 list, Microsoft's Xbox 360 had 12 entries. Sony's PSP failed to register any impact on the charts, while Nintendo's DS had 13 titles in the top 40. |

Uh oh. Looks like the transient spike in sales charts from the introduction of the PS3 slim is on the wane. Recently released data from NPD on console hardware sales show that the Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 with over 100,000 units. http://www.joystiq.com/2009/12/10/november-npd-modern-warfare-2-sells-5-million-ds-dominates-har/ -DS: 1.7M -Wii: 1.26M -360: 820K -PS3: 710K -PSP: 294K -PS2: 203K Naturally, the Wii topped the charts for game consoles. Even more troubling for Sony (and Kosovo!) was the fact that the Nintendo DS easily racked up 6 times the sales of the Sony PSP, despite being technologically inferior. It may be recalled that Kosovo had earlier dismissed the DS as a competitor for the PSP as usual on the basis of graphical performance. But the hardware sales are just one part of the puzzle. In terms of Software (games), games on the Microsoft had more games sold on the Xbox 360 than both the Wii and PS3 combined, a troubling development for Sony which continues to lose money on it's PS3 console.
[li]Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Xbox 360 - Activision - 4.20M[/li] [li]Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - PS3 - Activision - 1.9M[/li] [li]New Super Mario Bros. Wii - Wii - Nintendo - 1.4M[/li] [li]Assassin's Creed II - Xbox 360 - Ubisoft - 795K[/li] [li]Left 4 Dead 2 - Xbox 360 - Valve - 720K[/li] [li]Wii Sports Resort* - Wii - Nintendo - 720K[/li] [li]Wii Fit Plus - Wii - Nintendo - 679K[/li] [li]Assassin's Creed II - PS3 - Ubisoft - 448K[/li] [li]Dragon Age: Origins - Xbox 360 - Electronic Arts / BioWare - 362K[/li] [li]Mario Kart w/ Wheel - Wii - Nintendo - 315K[/li]
Check out the sales figures for Assassin's Creed II and Modern Warfare 2, with the Xbox 360 version selling twice the numbers of the PS3. Both games are highly anticipated titles with stellar reviews. It may appear that 1. The sales boost from the PS3 slim seems to be dissipating, leaving the Xbox 360 (as usual) as the leader of the two consoles in monthly sales 2. Many people may simply have bought their PS3 as a cheap Blu-Ray player. If so, the possibilty of Sony reaping profit from those consoles via game sales may not exist. Even more worrying? Uncharted 2 failed to break into the top 10 this month. Given a sales figure of 537,000 in October in the US (Source: October NPD), and since the lowest game on the November NPD sold 315k, using an optimistic figure of 300K sold in November, it means that a potential contender for game of the year 2009 has so far failed to muster up to a million in sales in the coveted North American Market. Either way, somewhere out there Kosovo is crying himself to sleep. ![]() |
@Kosovo The xbox 360 has NEVER been $199. That's bullcrap FUD. one SKU of the 360 (the Xbox 360 Arcade) is priced at $199. The 360 pro and Elite still were priced at $299 and $399 respectively. I cringe everytime you spout that bit of misinformation. and as i said before, it exposes your lack of knowledge when it comes to the Xbox 360 brand. |
Seems ThisDay, vanguard and others that usually give out these awards are keeping mum this year. Perhaps this explains the deep hatred Vanguard's editorial staff seems to have for Sanusi? PS: Silly topic, i know. Eveyone is allowed at least one a year ![]() |
biggjoe:And i suppose Anambra prospered greatly under Mbadinuju? or was he an ANPP Governor? Have you forgotten that Ngige's best works came when he was no longer doing the bidding of the PDP? Or shall i say the PDP's main man in Anambra state, Chris Uba? if you think Ngige did a whole lot of good, why aren't you supporting him? PS: I have nothing to do with texas. ![]() biggjoe:Party is the problem! Nothing goes through at the House of Reps because the PDP is in overwhelming control. Reps and Senators cannot call the president to order if not the party slams them hard. The party decrees which Reps, Senators or Governors come back, even the non-performing ones. The Party structure in Nigeria heavily encourages the 'godfather' syndrome, and throws up corrupt, greedy and grasping folk as their flagbearers and the officials. I have issues with Soludo as a person, but that's not only why i'm against him. In Nigeria, the PDP is an evil, all-powerful entity. Weakening the PDP has to be the only way true revolution can take place in Nigeria. Until these goons realize that they will be judged on the service they render to Nigeria, there will be no true progress in this country of ours. |
Got married 3 weeks ago, spent about 2.2 mil. C'est la vie! |
USA population is 300 million . The AIDS level in the USA is at least 10 to 20 times higher than nigeria, even with Polygamy?
The CDC estimates that there are 1.1 million people living with HIV/AIDS in America. This is far less than the figures reported for Nigeria! |
These people amuse me! after suffering for so long under PDP in anambra state, they are willing to stick their necks under the guillotine for PDP again. People cannot see that Soludo is merely a well gilded mousetrap. Someone who failed at his task of being a watchdog over the banking industry is the one being entrusted to run a troubled state. All he had to do was flash a Harvard degree and make grand speeches about 'turning Anambra into Dubai'. The Americans threw out the Republicans even though John McCain was a pretty good guy, simply because of the excesses of the Republican Party in the previous years. In anambra i see people going apeshit about a flawed candidate, flanked by a notorious crook (Anenih), running under the platform of the same party that has brought great ruin to Anambra state! Incredible. |
@Mekusxxx The people of Isiala Ngwa and Abiriba in Abia state did not get their fearsome reputation because they snacked on toasted marshmallows. The human skulls used for ceremonial dances in Ohafia village in abia state aren't made of Plaster of Paris. they're real skulls. So why not campaign for this similar practice to be stopped? Deviant behaviour is not restricted to just one tribe alone. |
echowords:and each Zelda game has been wonderful. do you know how many Zelda games were out before Ocarina of Time? |
Naturally Vowiski didnt see fit to mention that the Facebook, twitter and Last.Fm implementations on the Xbox 360 are far far better than the skeletal versions on the PS3's browser. Did you also forget to mention that you need the disc in the drive while streaming from Netflix in the PS3? The dough paid for a year's Gold subscription in Xbox Live is less than the cash for one single game. Any Gold member would telll you that the service is well worth the payment. |
MUNEER2:So even after being told 1 million times never to disclose your ATM details online, you still fell for that cheap trick? Haba! |
There were no ransom demands, so it's probably just a murder case. mekusxxx:They've been kidnapping and killing in Benin City for a while now ![]() |
Mekana:No. Shame on you for not being intelligent enough to comprehend or appreciate the HARD FACTS being placed on the discussion table by Sauron, eldee and Siena. This is how you rabble start claiming that Nigeria's problems come from our 'corrupt leaders'. Meanwhile people like you see nothing wrong in breaking the law. The man got what he had coming to him. Simple as that. Truth be told, he does not deserve our pity! |
Shame after years of PDP's ruinous intervention in Anambra politics, people are being hoodwinked into voting for a politician from this terrible party. Even more ominous was Soludo's introduction to the good people of Anambra - flanked by Anenih (the Godfather of godfathers) and Ekwueme (ol' Mr Siddon look himself) There is no redemption in the PDP. simple as that. |
@eldee I'm surprised people are still arguing with you. And all those crying racism need to go for an IQ test ASAP. This is a man who had twice been cautioned for careless driving and had shown a disregard for highway safety. After being disqualified the silly fellow still went on driving. Why are we so quick to pull the 'racism' card for one man's foolishness? You want the Home Office to rescind their decision, do you know the furore that will be caused if this fellow goes back on the road and kills someone? He had his chance and he blew it. Simple as that. Funny how the same people supporting this man's lawless behaviour are the ones often seen on NL muttering about the need for a revolution in Nigeria. |
I wonder why you people are complaining. This is how we always deny everything until the chickens come home to roost. This is how we were perfectly happy idolizing these Yahoo boys in Nigeria until the foreign pickings became slim and they started targeting their own countrymen through ATM fraud. Now ATM fraud is in full swing, Nigerians suddenly realize that 419 is bad. We need to fix our image up, even the small percentage doing these crimes is a large number given our large population. Show zero tolerance to yahoo yahoo, drug peddling etc. The people blaming the police chief should ask themselves if it's not the same Nigeria where drug dealers and smugglers are given only 1 year imprisonment or a meager fine when caught. |
4llerbuntu:Nope. That's probably worth about $2000 at most. Desktops are far cheaper than laptops. |
The whole long article and all you people can talk about is Biafra? Anyway, the man has made it clear that he has since moved on and is enjoying life in the private sector. I suggest you disgruntled lot try to do the same! |
