Casual games, my foot! The iPhone is a full fledged gaming handheld. Screenshots below NOVA https://touchaholics.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/second.png |
To be fair, though, the touch pro 2 is a pretty wonderful phone, i just prefer my iphone 3GS. I can do all sorts of wonderful things on it. Some things that just aren't in place on Windows Mobile. Example N64iphone, a full N64 featured emulator for the iPhone 3GS! Imagine Zelda: Ocarina of Time (the best game ever made) in my palm

beejaei:you hit the nail on the head. It's actually a mild form of mental illness, people do determined to be the few people 'in the know' that they accept extremely spurious data as hard fact. In the opening post, the article writer states that Alhaji Mutallab's work in banking was merely a front, and DICON is run by Israeli Mossad. Both extremely sketchy allegations and definitely unverified. Yet 2 posts down the likes of LagosBoy are quoting it as fact and using it as empirical evidence in their arguments. That's just daft. And contrary to what LagosBoy thinks, that isn't using your brains at all. |
Lagosboy:you easily call someone a 'christian zionist' yet you take umbrage at being called a Muslim fanatic. Out of curiousity, what exactly are the holes in the official story you speak of? |
platinumnk:So, you link to Xda-developers, a site for WinMo enthusiasts and expect a fair and unbiased discussion on the iPhone vs TP2 discussion? lol. |
platinumnk:Hardware wise, the iPhone 3GS is far more powerful than the TP2. It uses a faster, newer gen ARM CPU as well as an OPEN GL 2.0 PowerVR SGX GPU. No offense meant, but i've been flashing custom Win Mo ROMS since 2006. I've used the HTC Magician, Wizard, TyTN, TyTN II and i've played around with the TP2. Custom ROMS or not, it's still WinMo at the end of the day. And that's why Microsoft has lost serious ground in the mobile OS space. The best WIndows mobile smartphone in the world at the moment is the Touch HD2, running WinMo 6.5. And in all the reviews the major sticking point was the OS. Windows Mobile is ancient and creaky. platinumnk:Yes, it's locked down by Apple in several ways, but once you jailbreak it ( a ridiculously simple process) you can customize it all you want. Why exactly do you need an SD slot for a device that comes in 16GB and 32GB capacity? platinumnk:Hardware wise, very few android phones have specs near that of the iPhone 3GS. And the Android OS itself isn't nearly as polished in its current state as the iPhone OS. In fact, only Palm's WebOS has that level of polish, certainly not Windows mobile. platinumnk:Even without jailbreaking, with over 100000 apps on the appstore, there's more than enough software on the iPhone to more than hold it's own against Windows Mobile. For business purposes, i hope you're aware that the iPhone has full Exchange support, and there are Office apps on the appstore that allow you edit Word, Powerpoint and Excel on the iPhone with ease. It must be pointed out that these office apps are of even better quality than Microsoft's own Mobile office applications. Business environments don't go for WIndows mobile handsets, they go for RIM's blackberry handsets. That's why both RIM and Apple have far higher marketshare in the smartphone business in the US than Microsoft's windows mobile. You ever ask yourself why there are so few windows mobile handsets coming out this year and in 2008/2009? All the loyal manufacturers are switching to Android. People don't want Windows Mobile anymore ![]() |
Lagosboy:Perhaps it's because no reputable news media outlet will give credence to this half-baked, illogical POS conspiracy theory you people are bandying about? It's extremely easy to pick holes in your own version of events. If your al qaeda buddies had left innocent civillians alone, why would anyone choose to use 3D body scanners? The increased threat from Islamic extremists has brought this upon us, not any sadistic desire to screen everyone who chooses to fly. Lagosboy:But that's a lie, isn't it? There have been no attacks on the mainland US since 9/11, despite no shortage of people desperate to kill themselves to enter paradise. How many terrorist incidents have taken place in Israel in the last 10 years, and to what scale? Is it that there aren't enough people just dying to kill themselves (pun intended ) You see, the intelligence agencies are doing a decent job of keeping threats to a minimum. Do you know how many terrorist cells have been smashed in the US and the UK in the past 2 years alone? And ultimately, this is where anyone with brains can see the catch in your conspiracy theory. This whole mutallab saga only leaves the CIA with a lot of egg on their faces. And that's why it's inconceivable for it all to have been orchestrated by the CIA. Plan an attempted bombing that leave the Agency open to embarrassment, ridicule and parliamentary condemnation? Not a chance. You should look closer at my Tiger Woods idea. It's obvious Tiger Woods planned the entire thing to take attention off his marital problems. It was planned also with Jay Z during his last visit to Kwara State. ![]() |
aieromon:Yeah, went through her profile to see her reply. I would have loved to tear it apart here, i guess i'll wait until her post gets approved. Sadly, she does seem to be comparing the TP2 with the iPhone 3G and not the 3GS, and certainly not with iPhone firmware 3.0 . Bad! |
Hmm, since you guys will believe anything you read, how sure are you that it wasn't Tiger Woods that planned the whole thing to get our minds off his scandal? ![]() |
paddyboi:The al-qaeda angle was mentioned first by Mutallab not long after he was taken into custody. He obviously made contact with radical Imams in Yemen (as he himself has claimed). Not even the CIA has that kind of undercover operatives over there. |
Abeem:Because 99% of the time, posts concerning the Israelis brings you conspiracy theorists out of the woodwork. All i do is argue logically with hard facts, and we all know logic and reliance on proven facts is haram as far as you numbskulls are concerned. Thanks for being a fan, though. |
paddyboi:'thinking cap' implies logic, yet your reasoning is in no way logical. Wetin concern Iran with this matter now? No US president at this particular moment will sign off on a war with Iran. Not with Iraq still remaining an uncertain quagmire, not with the war in Afghanistan raging unceasingly, not with the US Army stretched dangerously thin with the current state of troop deployments, and not with Arab countries eying the US with a palpable sense of distrust. For your idea to hold water, it would have to be an attack directly traceable to Iran. And in this case there's no tangible link to Iran. Try again next time. |
paddyboi:Dude, no one ever told you he was 'acting alone'. Al Qaeda has claimed responsibility/complicity and the man has confirmed that there are several others being prepped for similar missions. Please explain what you mean by 'taking the fall'. Is the fact that the fellow almost detonated a bomb in mid-air in an attempt to kill 289 people not enough for you? Why do you insist on calling a 23 year old adult a 'boy'. Is it to pass across a false sense of sympathy for this misguided criminal? |
paddyboi:This actually proves your shortcomings when it comes to understanding written English. Where was it stated that there was no video of the criminal? |
Lagosboy:It does not 'appear' anything. All you have on this 'no passport' angle is the alleged statement by one of the passengers on board. And this is yet to be verified! So let's get this clear. In order not to draw attention to himself due to him having Yemeni visas on his passport, he hid his passport and claimed not to have one at schipol? So to draw less attention you act out a scenario which is likely to draw even more intense scrutiny? Bullcrap. It's impossible that anyone travels without a passport. It's worth noting that mutallab visited yemen in 2005, and thus had yemeni visas on his passport even when he applied for and obtained the US visa in 2008. Lagosboy:The problem is the article is 90% speculation and conjecture. And you people are swallowing it up as hard fact. And that's just sad. Lagosboy:Welcome to nothing. The CIA had been badly bruised for failing to prevent 9/11. Why then would they engineer something that ends up showing them up as being incompetent and bureaucratic - charges levelled at them in the aftermath of 9/11? Lagosboy:Or it could not have been the Mossad or CIA but instead green eyed monsters from Mars, aliens from the Z-dimension who engineered the plot so as to one day achieve their aim of anally probing all mankind. See what idle speculation does? NAive pawn by butt. Was he naive when he sewed on the explosives and tried to detonate 'em over detroit? |
kuramo:Naw, just intellectually challenged. These people need to be dragged, kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Thank God we'll all live to see this Mutallab bastard punished for his heinous attempt to kill 289 people. Knowing these softie americans he'll probably escape the death penalty and get life in jail. At least that'll give the cowardly dog a chance to ruminate over his life. |
This is extremely hilarious. Just bamboozle Nigerians with words and they start to believe anything. And when you appeal to people's desperate desires to be let in on a grand conspiracy, then they are willing to reject any warning messages their brains may be sending to them. The writers story is so full of holes, it's amusing to see all you dolts swallowing it up. So eager are you louts to believe any story that points the finger at the US or Israel that you cannot see that 1. The writer is 100% wrong when he says that Mutallab's name was placed on a no-fly list 2. That Mutallab's dad runs DICON. And with help from the Mossad too! 3. That Mutallab boarded without a passport. Really i cannot understand why this retarded 'testimony' is being bandied about. How does someone travel without a passport? And why would any serious minded bomber want to take that sort of risk? The whole article is full of conjured 'facts' and distorted truths, with downright laughable assumptions. I laughed hard when the writer was musing openly at the implausibility of AL Qaeda setting up shop in Yemen. And why would the US ambassador meet with Mutallab Snr, just because he's a rich and influential man. Even if that was remotely possible, why would the CIA station chief meet with the fellow? The Key question is, why would the CIA engineer a plot to blow up an American airliner even though the success or failure of that plot would mean a serious condemnation for the CIA's effectiveness in combating terror? Conspiracy theorists suffer from a mental illness, that's for sure. |
@Kosovo Also, you do realize that RE 5 uses the same formula laid down in RE 4 - Which, incidentally, was made by the very same Shinji Mikami? i grew tired of your inane statement about Shinji Mikami's thoughts on RE 5, so i searched for the actual quote "I probably won't play it. I won't like it, because it's not going to be the game I would have made," said Mikami (who has left Capcom and currently resides at Platinum Games). "It'll just cause me stress if I play it. I think it could be fun for gamers to play it, but not for someone who has developed Resident Evil games." Mikami added that "If I see anything in Resident Evil 5 that isn't done well, I'll be angry," http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=202814 There you have it. Mikami saying he won't play it simply because it may not have been his vision. He goes on to state that it should be fun for gamers. So where do you get the idea that RE 5 was crap? also stop misquoting Shinji Mikami. |
kosovo:lol How about you comment on a game you've actually played, not decide based on the fellow's opinion? Resident Evil 5 got pretty good reviews. It may do you some good to actually read some of those reviews and play the game. This is 2010, try and rely on hard, empirical data! |
Choco5:what the hell do you mean 'quick'? We gave her a chance. And despite what you think, respect is earned. You should be asking why this woman was so quick to turn her back on the principles we thought she had while we idolized her. |
Kosovo I don't think you're the writer of this piece. In fact, i KNOW you aren't. So why not quote the source? Is it because you know the writer himself is utterly full of crap? Resident Evil 5, Red FAction 2, Dragon Age and Halo: ODST were among the higher rated games of 2009. So what flavor of crack is this writer on? You need to stop regurgitating everything you see of any crappy blog here. At least with a title like 'ten surprisingly disappointing games of 2009', it should really be your opinions contained in the article. |
ugoegwuh:\i was referring to chiogo, not you. |
@platinumnk iphone 3gs >>>> HTC Touch Pro 2. Besides, it's WinMo 6.5 and a resistive touch screen. What else can i say ![]() |
For the love of God, do not buy the mytouch at this point in time! |
I feel sorry. Not for the guy, but for the fact that I may never get the chance to clasp my meaty hands around this ogre's throat and squeeze the life out of him. Feel sorry for someone who almost killed 289 people? You guys are nuts! |
Kobojunkie:Actually the dates show that it is an interim measure while they figure out how to deal with the situation properly. Such rules probably may not last. It's well known that drastically constraining your lifestyle is a victory for the terrorists, so the TSA will be keen to come up with rules that are not as restrictive. However, they have no idea if the terrorist was acting alone or had similarly equipped buddies, hence the temporary period of extremely heightened security. |
omoalare:You mean you work in a bank, and like many of your fellow bankers you cannot see the bigger picture, instead focusing your ire on the 'sanusi tsunami'. Where were you when a new generation bank had to take a full page newspaper advert petitioning the president to help with loan recovery to no avail? It is shameful that the entire point of your argument is to say that the banks must sympathize with the debtors for unplanned business losses. How is that supposed to work out? Are these not the same banks that mercilessly go on after small scale businesses and enterpreneurs over minor defaults on their loans, yet go soft on their cronies that contribute far less to the NIgerian economy? We must thank Sanusi for exposing the rot in the banking sector and arresting it in time. |
As one commenter said "Bleep you Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. Enjoy your leg wound- hope it falls off so I can beat you to death with it." |
