When Massob makes this silly claims, they trivialize the whole issue they claim to be fighting for. Shame they are too foolish to realize that. |

Vanguard - Dele Sobowale Rules!!! |
SapeleGuy:It isn't a rule if it's by accident, is it? kidonig:Apologise? Is there a bad rash in the 'Travel' section? It's not as if the post was deleted anyway. In some other forums, you actually get PUNISHED for posting in the wrong section. |
mikeansy:lol! As if Soludo's nomination followed due process ![]() |
Pictures of a city have no business in a Politics section. I don't give a rat's arse if Lagos and Abuja pics are still left behind. They also have nothing to do with Politics and should be moved too. If the OP has an issue with the definition of the word 'Politics', let him post his address and i'll mail him a mint copy of Webster's Dictionary. Nonsense. |
4llerbuntu:Yes, i sleep better knowing i didnt steal the OS i run on my primary PC, and knowing i'm not screwing someone out of his rightful cash. And if you think 20k is a fortune at your age, i'm genuinely sorry for you. 4llerbuntu:'Clear ability and workability'? Don't make me laugh. I use Windows instead of any of the FOSS alternative because honestly windows is far more polished. Good job trotting out all the linux fanboy FUD about Windows and viruses. Any windows user with enough common sense to keep his antivirus updated can easily avoid being infected with a virus. And to be honest, the trade-off with the time taken to update anti-virus software as well as system patches pays off when you realize you don't need to go through hell just to get linux drivers for your obscure router or device. Why do you think Linux users till date still whine at ATI/AMD? yes, we know you can install Ubuntu on a system with 512 MB RAM. But what's the point? Good luck running Photoshop or any decent animation tool on that. And yes, Linux may perform faster than Windows on the same hardware. But what use is that speed when you're restricted to inferior open source clones of popular productivity software? For example, OpenOffice.org is nowhere near the quality of Microsoft Office or Apple's iWork apps. When i can get a polished OS with decent tech support for a meager sum (spread that 20k over 3 years that you'll own the PC and you'll see how trivial it is) and has loads of software, why should i limit myself with the Ubuntus of this world? Why wait and join the rest of you whiners to beg Crossover software to port popular games to Linux? Why wait the entire year for Google to release Chrome officially on Linux when i could have gotten it earlier on Windows? Why spend hours online trying to figure out a way to get itunes to work on Ubuntu when it's an out of the box install for windows? Ditto for handy software for mobile phones. When the software for unlocking iphones came out, guess what OS it supported? Mac and Windows. I use open source software and material when it makes sense for me to do so. I started using PHP and MySQL since 2000, it easily fit my needs then and now. But at this point in time, your precious Linux still isn't ready for primetime yet. |

9jaganja:Don't beef just because you ain't got the dough. Grow up and get a job and i'm sure you'll be able to get any of the others you want. The Wii is a next-gen console automatically since it's a generation after the Gamecube. it's graphics horsepower does not matter. In fact, among all the 3 main gaming consoles it's the only one that came out of the box with a radical departure from the previous generations (with its motion controls) In fact, there's no such thing as 'next-gen' at this point. The Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 are all current gen (you'd think that a console being out for 3years would make it no longer 'next-generation') 9jaganja:Everyone in the gaming industry agrees on one simple fact; as far as online console gaming is concerned, Xbox Live has no equal. Sure, PSN is improving everyday, but it isn't there yet. Compare the 360 to the Wii? I don't know what you're smoking, son, but roll me some ASAP. That's some real potent shit. FYI, the Xbox 360 has produced better visuals than the PS3 in most cases in multiplatform games. 9jaganja:Kindly produce any of my posts that buttress your point above. Do it ASAP or remain a liar. |
So if we agree Sanusi is doing the 'right thing' even if you claim it was done in a bad way, what of the man who did not do the 'right thing'? What of Soludo? how come all these rabid sanusi haters have no similar harsh words for Soludo who stood idly by and did nothing? |
ritchboy:don't mind him! What concerns a gamer with stuff like 'royalties'? No wonder kosovo's busy trolling the phones section about Sony Ericsson phones. Of all the games you mentions, only killzone 2 will be played a month after purchase. At least millions are still duking it out on halo 3 and GOW 2. |
naijaking1:the only one showing any level of stupidity here is you! You happily swallow any story as long as it paints sanusi in bad light. Can you bet your life on these allegations being true? Why are you always on about letting the Ibrus et al have their day in court before believing in the allegations against them, yet you're so willing to condemn anything associated with Sanusi even on mere hearsay? |
@Ibime abi o! So all it takes is for someone to publish a spurious article with no iota of proof or convincing evidence and Nigerians will fall for it, abi? See how grown people are falling for this fairytale. Laughable! So how are these people any better than those cops who I sister that a human suspect turned into a goat? |
naijaking1:funny how you're perfectly willing to make a snap judgement on hearsay when it comes to Sanusi, yet demand we wait for the court judgement when it comes to Ibru. Smoking gun? This?! Don't make me laugh. You've never sought for the 'common truth sense' in this matter. All u care for is your pocket and vengeance against sanusi. |
lol, so people are still relying on that sponsored Vanguard 'prediction', abi? It seems that Nigerians still do not know what hard evidence is. all i see is mere conjecture! |
yea jet fighters, automatic assault rifles and armoured battle tanks that werent invented till the 1900s were used by america in 1800. . . its not by force to post on a thread u know. . .
LOL! I hope the irony isn't lost on you? you've made tons of factually incorrect claims (which i've taken great pleasure in pointing out to you), yet here you are happy to pounce on someone following in your footsteps. ![]() There's nothing wrong in posting photos of our Nigerian millitary. I also am not averse to supporting these fellows. However, it's also a mark of patriotism to point out something that is going wrong, something that needs to be fixed. We may be forgiven for buying the Chinese fighters. They are quite old and are definitely outmatched against most other modern fighters, but they will serve a purpose. What is unforgivable is the Nigerian Government's inactivity in home grown weapons development. It is not good to use excessive hyperbole to describe our ageing hardware, lest we lull ourselves into a false sense of complacency. |
^^ Utter rubbish . . . . !!!!!
At least have the good sense to put together a rejoinder to my allegations instead of taking the coward's way out. You PDP stooges will not rest until Nigeria lies in shambles. |
See these idiots, as if it's a crime to drink garri now |
When Ibori was asked to speak in UNIBEN, you people were up in arms villifying the VC. Now Soludo comes out standing at the right hand of Anenih the arch-thief. And you people revere him! This, in a state that has suffered long under the hand of godfathers! Yet people from that state are actually thinking of voting in Soludo!! Nigerians need not complain about their lot; They willingly march headlong into disaster. You can tell a man from the company he keeps. PDP is a den of thieves and Anenih ranks as one of the worst. Soludo came forth in the company of PDP, flanked by the arch-thief himself and all i see is retards muttering about 'harvard' and 'qualifications' and 'consolidation' as if Borishade et al have not convincingly showed that it takes a whole lot more than fancy degrees to be a good and just leader. |
naijaking1:It's always been about you money, hasn't it? You need a scapegoat to blame for the loss of revenue due to you so Sanusi is the scapegoat, abi? If it's about money accruing to the common man, how come you're always so keen to defend the Ibrus and so quick to castigate Sanusi? Afterall, under the Ibru management when last and how much did the common investor in Oceanic Bank receive as divided in recent years? |
Do we really have Moderators in this section? What the hell are those clowns doing? |
Sometimes the hypocrisy of some of my fellow Christians floors me. Why is is acceptable to read Christian Theology yet so repugnant to them when someone comes up with an Islamic Studies certificate? Also, it's funny how the misadventures of Borishade et al have still not weaned Nigerians from the stupid worship of paper certificates . |
9jaganja:Why are some of you so stupid enough to believe all the FUD spread by Sony? Pound for pound, there's almost nothing either consoles can do that the other cannot. This should be extremely obvious to anyone apart from terminal trolls. Me, i own all the 3 consoles. Each one provides a compelling gaming experience. Any difference in processing and graphical power is minimal at best. |
if u want to compare a first generation mig built in 1962 to a 10th or 12th generation chinese fighter built in 2006,well its a free world i really dont care,
lol, the F-7 was not built in 2006. You're doing a good job of showing the world how ignorant you are. |
sigh, the f7-N1 is superior than the migs, the migs is an older technology, its easy google it and see, they are pretty much the same planes anyway, since the chinese built their version off the migs, but this version is more advanced with avionics and maneuverability, now if u read my post,i never said sukhov(SU),the sukhov are russias newest fighters so they should be more powerful than both the migs and the f7n1
With every post you expose your phenomenal ignorance. MiG is a family of aircraft, not just one model. So when you say 'the migs is an older technology' i wonder if you have any idea how daft you sound? How can you seriously compare the F-7 which is a MiG-21 clone with the advanced MiG-29 and 31 used by the Russians and most of the east bloc countries? Are you aware that the MiG 21 was actually created in the sixties? All the chinese have done with the base model is to improve the weapons system and the avionics to bring it in line with modern standards. However these upgrades do nothing to change the fact that the F 7 is a second generation fighter easily outmatched by any modern 4th generation fighter. Question for you; if the F-7 is so great, why have the Chinese bothered to develop 2 generations of air interceptors after it?
well the f-16 has never come into combat with one of these so lets keep the conjecture to a minimum, however,if u are defending your airspace like the chinese, these planes can do the job, otherwise they wont form the backbone of chinese air defense against both the u.s and russia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-16_Fighting_Falcon Operation Peace for Galilee (1982) The following year, during Operation Peace for Galilee (Lebanon War) Israeli F-16s engaged Syrian aircraft in one of the largest air battles involving jet aircraft, which began on 9 June and continued for two more days. At the end of the conflict, the Israeli Air Force credited their F-16s with 44 air-to-air kills, mostly of MiG-21s and MiG-23s, while suffering no air-to-air losses of their own.
u do know the u.s is moving away from f-16s,and unto f-22 and joint strike fighter raptor
The F-22 and the 'raptor' refer to the same plane, dumbass. And the replacement for the F-16 is the F-35 Lightning II, not the raptor.
the f-16 is not a new plane,it was first introduced in the 1980s
lol. The F-7 is based heavily on a plane introduced 50 years ago. I'm sure you must see the irony in your statement.
.lol, but relax, all it has undergone over the years is upgrades to its computers and so on its in the same generation as the migs, and they have not really come into direct combat,so u cant say which is superior
The F-16 is NOT in the same generation with the MiG-21. I've warned you against using the generic word 'migs', as the MiG family incorporates first to 4th generation planes. The Mig-17 is not the same as the MiG-31. Stop illustrating your ignorance. The MiG contemporary for the F-16 is the MiG-29, which is a vastly superior plane to the MiG-21 and by extension the F-7 we've purchased. The upgrades from 2nd to fifth generation planes is not merely 'an upgrade to its computers'. In fact, that assertion ranks as one of the dumbest you've made today.
finally if u dont like my thread, why do u keeep getting pulled back to post on here? am sure u know i dont post on all the threads on nairaland, esp the ones i claim i dont like. . .
So what part of 'Public discussion forum' do you not understand? |
CHENGDU F7NI AIRGUARD (12 INTERCEPTORS, +3 TRAINER VARIANTS) https://i41.tinypic.com/ra8fnp.jpg https://i42.tinypic.com/15fqjox.jpg https://i43.tinypic.com/21jaog8.jpg ^^^^^^^^^^THESE ARE THE FIGHTER JETS WE GOT FROM THE CHINESE,they are more advanced than the Migs the soviets and most eastern european states fly,and can hold thier own against an F-16,in defense of airspace, they form the bedrock of chinese air-to air, defense system
Now you clearly show yourself as knowing absolutely NOTHING! How can you claim that the MiG-21 cloned F-7 is 'more advanced' than the SU-30s, Su-27s, MiG-29s et al that Russia and most of the Eastern bloc countries fly? The F-7 cannot be comparable to an F-16 in any way. Haba! The Chinese have long since moved on to F-8, 9, and 10 as well as other 4th generation ultra modern fighters. All the F-7 is used for now is as a mass aerial deterrent since the sheer number of F-7s employed by the chinese is enough to make life extremely difficult for few ultra-modern aircraft. For primary air superiority, the F-7 has long been superseded by several generations of Chinese planes. You're just an ignorant person awestruck by simple things. It's people like you that keep Nigeria back from progressing, happily gobbling down the sop thrown at you. You can only make a change when you question things, which i why you people crying about 'unpatriotism' are extremely pathetic. Let that fellow from the NDA tell us why homeless palestinians can build homemade rockets (Qassam I and Qassam II) yet Nigeria cannot. Ask him when Nigeria started making ordinary Mortars. |
Liedetect:I agree 100%!! After all, we've seen that Nigerian can always generate electricity when the Population requires it. /sarcasm The same people identifying the gaps we have are the ones you misguided asslickers are calling unpatriotic. Incredible! Liedetect:No matter how much you train in your rickets MIG-21s, they'll still get smoked easily by any modern fighter. Abi rigorous training go make NNS Aradu change from being a mere frigate and make it a compelling foe for any modern sub or destroyer abi? |
Horus:lol. As if anything i say can change the minds of those people who should be bringing about change in the Nigerian armed forces materiel. However, starry eyed optimists like yourself can help to perpetuate the stagnation in the millitary by hyping our decayed hardware - exactly the message the people in charge want you to spread. It does not bother you that homeless palestinians have been able to design, build and launch Qassam I and II missiles at Israel while the Nigerian Army is still struggling with the production of mortars, not to talk of missile technology. Homeless palestinians are easily doing what a whole country cannot do, even with a well funded space agency. Patriotism, eh? Your Naval flagship (NNS Aradu) is a mere frigate, and a 29 year old version at that, with a history of maintenance issues. Happy? |
Mariory:Wikipedia is practically as accurate as any encyclopaedia out there, random vandalism cases notwithstanding. Jane's Publications are not free, i agree, but are you seriously telling me that any tinpot government or group out there cannot plunk down the loose change for a subscription? Besides. Nigeria's arms deals are in the public domain, not hidden or classified in any way. And we do not make any decent weaponry ourselves. For example, Nigeria's deal to buy Chinese F-7 jets (merely rebadged MiG-2i clones from china) is on Wikipedia and is widely known. |
