So are they gonna amputate the guy's hand or what? Because any less will be unacceptable! We all know the Sharia punishment for stealing! |
9jaganja:I'm a Christian too - and i say you're full of shit. Bloody bigot! |
@poster There's no call to post such photos in a public forum where anyone can see them. You should have linked to them with a disclaimer as to the sensitive nature of the photos. What an idiot you truly are. None of those scenes of carnage are occurring today, so bringing them up is pretty daft. Biafra does not exist, and most Igbos have moved on. Not everyone's life revolves around political posts and Igbos around Nigeria are doing pretty well, excelling in most of the things that really matter. The wounds of the past should be left to heal - I wonder if you know that your stupid doctrine of hate marks you as a monster in the mould of those people you're quick to point accusing fingers at. That said, I'll be reportng these pics to the moderator. |
Ibime:The key words is 'projects'. As long as they have been named and budget has been publicly announced for them, they'll likely get done. Or at least you guys can scream blue murder if they haven't been done. N200 billion seems like a huge sum to that guy. But let's assume there are 10 million people in ND. That comes to 20,000 per head Anyone who is willing to give up the possibility of those projects being executed for just N20k needs to re-evaluate his priorities. |
That shows we are well equipped military wise in Nigeria to combat foreign enemies. How did they get these weapons?. No wonder the police is afraid of them.
Ak-47s, 1960s RPG-7s and WW2 era machine guns are what you're calling 'well equipped'?!Thank God you're not affiliated with our Defense department. Hmm. So even youths for Kogi dey surrender arms? The police should round them up for armed robbery ASAP! |
That Police commissioner is just a retard! Why start pointing accusing fingers at politicians when he his yet to obtain any solid lead on the kidnap perpetrators? And why point fingers at the rally? Is it against the law to publicly express dissaproval about someone's personality? As long as he cannot establish that someone made a threat during the rally/meeting, he should hold his tongue. |
bigmodo: NSNA:We're talking about sustainable development that will improve the lot of ND people for generations to come and all you can think about is short term share of the national cake? |
I've learnt how so many Nigerians are so fixated on hatred, ethnic bias and the past that we will not move forward. That's the most enduring lesson of the 'Politics' section. |
Alxmyr:so everyone who dies in Nigeria from an accident is another 'waste of life in the name of Nigeria' eh? This could have happened anywhere. I know some of you dislike the concept and existence of NYSC but you don't have to blame the programme for everything! |
Cnn will never tell africa that there is poverty,malaria,corruption,hiv,slum in the west,,;
Actually, they do. What you people fail to realise is that bad news sells more than good news. And Africa provides a steady stream of bad news. Even on slow news days, there's always room for documentaries et al on African poverty etc. However, to say CNN does not show any issues with the West is pure bullcrap. It wasn't from AIT that we saw info on the Columbine massacre, hurrican katrina, wildfires in california, poverty in new orleans, Clinton's perjury trial, the Abu Ghraib abuses, allegations of Karzai's brother working for the CIA etc. And just for your education, malaria is pretty much a non-issue in the west. They've been running features on the increase in HIV in Russia. How do you expect them to focus on HIV in the West when the HIV prevalence in Africa is exponentially higher? |
aisha , i want to do more to help in the future. I've always wanted to do charity work. I'll get in touch with ya soon. Thanks for the effort for Benjamin. |
samnaija:And i suppose the reports of innocent children being killed and tortured in Eket in the name of Christianity are also merely 'stories intended to ridicule christianity'? Is that how you and your pastor justify being such bad christians as to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to these reports? |
Olong:Jesus Himself insisted we render unto Ceaser what belonged to Ceaser. You must show respect for people and constituted authority. Would you appreciate it if an Ogun worshipper came outside your window every night singing his ritual songs? Would you appreciate a masquerade entering your bus and insisting on steps you must take to be saved? In my opinion, all these preachers that put churches and hold noisy night vigils in residential areas should be apprehended and punished. As for me, i still keep a baseball bat near my bed. There's a guy that comes every couple of months to preach the Gospel at 2 am with a megaphone in residential areas on a work day. The last time he did it on wednesday night and i was useless at work the next day. Both I and my gateman have drawn up plans to severel beat the fellow next time he tries this again! |
luvola:He was in the plane, you slowpoke. |
Nchara:So what good are your fancy degrees if you display the intellectual prowess of a gnat? The more you promote your degrees, the more they seem out of sync with the dumbass statements you make on Nairaland. let me dabble in amateur psychoanalysis - did someone drop you on the head when you were a baby? |
moonraker:my WEI? On my ancient VAIO FE 21m 1.66 Ghz Core Duo and the ancient Geforce Go 7600? I think not. It was cutting edge way back in 2006 when i bought it (i even bragged about it on NL) but not anymore I keep holding off on a new laptop because i always keep waiting for something just around the corner. For example i waited 3 months now for the Core i7 and Windows 7. I'll get a new lappie next month and then come out swinging! The Radeon 5xxx series should hit next year on mobile. |
oyb:lol. Ok, i see. No Dx 11 mobile GPUs out at the moment until next year. I'm tempted to spring for the HP Envy 15, but the lack of internal optical drive is making the decision harder for me. I mean i hardly ever use the one in my laptop, but it may just be a good thing to have it there. |
Nchara:You say you're a 'faculty member' of a foreign University and you shamelessly trot out such shoddy logic? slowpoke. |
kosovo:Word of advice. Try to know what you're talking about before you mouth off, ok? PlayTV = DVB-T peripheral + software to watch freeview on PS3. SkyTV = zero peripheral, watch skyTv subscription on xbox 360 over broadband internet. |
Every tribe has its share of thieves - and there are no shortage of sycophants to welcome them. Orji Kalu stole billions, and he remained a hero among thousands of his tribesmen, even with the festering Aba rubbish heaps. is that any less repugnant than the Bode George case? Do i even go into the amount of support Chris and Andy Uba can muster up in their nefarious deeds? If we're creating a Nigerian rogues gallery, do you think Arthur Nzeribe will not also share the same pedestal of villainy that Bode George occupies? Alams stole N50 billion - and was welcomed home by a huge throng of the very same people whose money he looted. Is that any better? Greed is a common human failing and it is not restricted to just one tribe. |
chosen04:I actually do think that this is an extremely silly point of view aimed at discrediting the Governor. What do you expect him to do in the face of overwhelming greed in Nigerian youths that makes them embrace get-righ-quick vices like kidnapping? Providing jobs will not solve the problem. How many jobs can he provide to those youths that will make them leave a life of crime and quick money? |
Chris Uba : you talking to me, you talking me Soludo : Yeah, whatcha gonna do about it Chris Uba : I am gonna make you an offer you can't refuse Soludo : You not gonna do nothing bitch, capisce? Chris Uba : I'm gonna kill your father, mother, all your kids, I'm gonna dig up your grandparents bodies from their graves and kill them again And that's what's happening! |
oyb:My 2 cents Spring for a core i7 processor instead if you haven't ordered the lappie, cut down a bit on the expenditures on the HDD and up the RAM count instead. still a monster rig at the moment, though ![]() |
ballababy:Depends if you sell at a reasonable price. The PS3 slim is designed to be smaller, lighter and cheaper than the older PS3s. The fact that it has a 120 GB hard disk is meaningless as harddisk prices are pretty low. |
Pro Anti:You'll be so dissapointed!! |
ballababy:Speak of things you know about, amigo. The PS3 slim comes in only the 120Gb flavour for now, and it's sold for $299. it was released at $299, it's ALWAYS been $299 and it will stay at $299 for a while to come. $299 x 155 = N46365 Even adding 20k as profit, it still comes down to N66,000. So yes, your price is outrageous. |
naijaking1:Here's another challenge for you. Using the CBN debtors' list, show us how 'most of these debts are owed by the Government'. The fuel importers have accepted that the Government owes them N46 billion. As i've said before, these importers in turn owe the banks over 400 billion naira. Even one as intellectually challenged as yourself can see the clear difference between N46 billion and N400+ billion. But we digress! it is no business of the CBN Governor or even the bankers if the Government pays or not. If i take a loan from a bank, it is not a matter of concern of my banking officer that my salary gets paid or that i sell my car. All bankers should care about is the loan being serviced as agreed upon. Without adequate collateral, there's little or nothing the banks can do but to wring their hands in dismay. I recap. For sanusi and the shareholders in the bank, it does not matter how you get the damn money. Loans should be serviced and loans of that magnitude should have been backed up with sufficient collateral. Naturally, your precious bank CEOs turned the other way. As Obama used to say about John McCain, "You just don't get it"! |
naijaking1:An amusing but unnecessary diversion. I do love throwing facts in your face. And as Ibime has also pointed out, your post title is plain wrong. The benign interpretation is that you struggle with written English. The only other possible explanation is that you deliberately set out to mislead the general public into joining your insidious campaign of calumny against SLS. I've thrown down the gauntlet; you accused Sanusi of being vindictive and schizophrenic. Where is the proof to back up your arguments? Explain those words instead of trying to cast up diversions. PS: Instead of challenging Ibime to re-read the article, kindly show us where it says in the article that the fuel debtors are off the CBN list. |
aisha2:LOL. Didn't know you were a united fan too. ![]() |
One RPG round to the tires = one crippled APC. Then one Molotov Cocktail to the APC = very dead personnel ![]() Works every time. |
PS3 slim is $299. That's less than 50k. Selling it for 80k is outrageous. |
As the topic implies. Does anyone have a wireless router compatible with Starcomms EVDO USB modems for sale? Compatibility with 3G HSDPA modems will also be an added advantage! |
