strangleyo:yeah right. The EFCC was largely innefectual against the yahoo boys even during the ribadu era. This is the kind of mess we should be cleaning up instead of demandingfor apologies from people merely speaking the truth. |
This is so obviously a scam, it's puzzling how educated people are being taken in by this shoddy story. You people are so eager to chase quick money, you fail to let your brains kick in to question the gaping holes in this guy's wild claims. No matter. You'll lose your monies, all of you. But be glad it isn't much loss, the experience you'll gain should be more rewarding than the cash you've happily thrown away. |
So you sit safely ensconced in SOuth Africa while you exhort your brothers to fight abi? I'm not aware that Amnesty is being offered to the people who identify themselves as Biafrans. Feel free to enlighten me. |
back2back:See what i mean when i talk about you conspiracy theorists? Wasn't it in the same colonial era that the boundaries delineating separate countries were drawn up? Which other map you wan make dem use? back2back:And how exactly are the colonists 'punishing Zimbabwe'? Please explain with facts. |
cap28:See why i insist you learn how to read before you reply me? Where did i say that Nigeria's problems are 'solely rooted in a corrupt ruling class'? You conspiracy theorists always amuse me, always keen to voice absurd arguments with no solid facts tendered. Oya, how has NIgeria been 'plundered and pillaged by the west with the help of Northerners' since Independence? Show me! |
Unit cost of this is less than 100 pounds. Why the obscene markup? |
ikuku:You need to learn how to read. I never gave you any reason to believe i'm full of optimism about Nigeria. All i've said is we Nigerians are to blame for our misfortunes, not any former colonial master ikuku:Nah. Everyone knows that green aliens from Mars control everything. /sarcasm |
I don't give a damn about what this old man has to say. Today is Independence day, Nigeria is 49. It's 49 years since our destiny was given into our own hands. Instead of whining about 'atrocities', why don't we use this period to ask ourselves what we have done in that period to improve our lot? No matter what claims anyone makes, we cannot have endured a harrowing experience like the Chinese did under colonialism and Japanese occupation. Look where they are now! Remember Obama's speech. There comes a time when we need to SHUT UP about colonialism and focus on what we can do for ourselves. If, on indepencence day of all days, you cannot see this simple truth that we are accountable for our issues, then i'm sincerely sorry for Nigeria and Nigerians. Happy Oct 1st everyone. |
Dream on, dude. You haven't priced this device to move at all :-( |
pgagbenga:So Rhapsody is what you count as 'making a change'? Okay, if a gift of Rhapsody is enough to make a change in Nigeria, why are we not seeing a change from the tens of thousands of devoted CE members that voraciously read these pamphlets? |

AFAIK, keyless ignition is only an option on the XLE, not the LE model he's selling. |
morpheus24:So in your opinion, having sex with a 5 year old girl is 'harming nobody'? morpheus24:Hermaphrodites are human beings born with a genetic disorder. How the hell can you justify placing them in that list. You're an idiot. |
kosovo:Why in the world would you want to buy that phone in this day and age? |
Just because we're Nigerians it doesn't mean we must force the Green-White-Green theme into everything! This prototype design is too, GARISH!!! As many have said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Simple, clean and functional looks are the vogue these days. Take a look at Google.com and even the Google Chrome browser. |
kell4eva:Noooooooooooooooooooo! This is the end of Sony!! They need Kell4eva's money to stay afloat! That's the killer blow!! /sarcasm Seriously, you fake patriots should get a life. if you want to show you love Nigeria, how about you dolts come out to vote during the next elections? 90% of you educated elite failed to turn up to vote - yet you suddenly think you're patriots. Your highly tolerant attitude towards 419 brought us to this point, not Sony. I have no idea how a nation in which 'I go chop your dollar', 'Yahoozee' and 'maga don pay' were chart toppers can claim to be bewildered and insulted at the 419 tag. |
Horlufemi:Lol You're using a cracked RTM build. That's still an illegal install, any which way you spin it. |
Horlufemi:Even worse. You plan to install the RC1 - which expires in march 2010 - for him? Charge him money and fix his Vista installation. A Hp DV4 is pretty capable CPU-wise. Check his RAM, check for spyware, adware, malware etc. Check if he's got too many startup items running. There's no sense in taking off a genuine OS for a pirated install, especially when you can fix the Vista. That is all. |
Why the hell would you want to overwrite a legal OS (vista) with a pirated version of Wndows Xp? Find out the problem why your Vista install is underperforming. if you can't fix it, dual-boot with Xp. |
Hey bro. Kindly help me check the carfax for this Toyota Camry 4T1be46k37U052991 Many thanks |
![]() My impatience knows no bounds. I've been refreshing this page for a while now, no data. Be warned, I will kill one innocent kitten for every 2 hours that my request go unanswered. Jenju, the blood of innocent and cute kittens and lambs will be upon ye!! |
udezue:WTF? Someone takes your copyrighted material, your movie you've invested heavily in producing, pirates it and sticks it on a DVD containing over 10 movies and you say it's 'competition'?! You define piracy as 'competition'? You, my friend, are clearly the slowpoke here. |
So let me get this clear 1 billion Naira spent on feeding people during Ramadan is condemnable because it could have 'been used to build hospitals, schools etc'. So where are the 'hospitals, schools, etc' built with the tens of billions of Naira given to the Niger Delta states as monthly allocation? If you had an issue with the Ramadan, why did you lot accept the two days public holidays? Afterall, the man-hours lost during the holidays could have yielded money which could have been used to build hospitals, schools etc' in the Niger Delta. The same people advocating that Nigeria should institute a welfare scheme are the ones angrily protesting this issue. Before you start alleging stolen money, has any one of you done a cost estimate of how much it really would have cost to feed these people? Not one of you took any umbrage at the scandalous amount of money being paid to the thousands of millitants under the amnesty package - including the rumoured $3,000,000 paid to Boyloaf alone. |
Going through your comments, one would think you all are perfect beings, with no regrets in life. The man is 70 years old. At that age, that's typically when one starts looking back at life and reviewing the mistakes one made with regret. At least he's concerned about his legacy. How many other Nigerians have showed that same concern? CErtainly not the likes of IBB and OBJ. Give the feller a break! |
This is all a moot point anyway. There's absolutely NO CHANCE that you'll see serving US Forces fighting in the Niger Delta. And Certainly not possible under the Obama administration. Even if the Nigerian government hires Private millitary companies (which often contains ex-servicemen), these PMC are usually deployed defensively. Even in Iraq, not even Blackwater was used for offensive purposes. I have no issue with PMCs being consulted for surveillance purposes. If we spend untold billions of Naira to payoff millitants for Amnesty purposes, why the hell would any patriotic Nigerian support continued sabotage and destruction of oil installations? |
Here's the Medal Of Honor citation for Randy Shughart, one of the two Delta Force operators killed at the second crash site Citation: Sergeant First Class Shughart, United States Army, distinguished himself by actions above and beyond the call of duty on 3 October 1993, while serving as a Sniper Team Member, United States Army Special Operations Command with Task Force Ranger in Mogadishu, Somalia. Sergeant First Class Shughart provided precision sniper fires from the lead helicopter during an assault on a building and at two helicopter crash sites, while subjected to intense automatic weapons and rocket propelled grenade fires. While providing critical suppressive fires at the second crash site, Sergeant First Class Shughart and his team leader learned that ground forces were not immediately available to secure the site. Sergeant First Class Shughart and his team leader unhesitatingly volunteered to be inserted to protect the four critically wounded personnel, despite being well aware of the growing number of enemy personnel closing in on the site. After their third request to be inserted, Sergeant First Class Shughart and his team leader received permission to perform this volunteer mission. When debris and enemy ground fires at the site caused them to abort the first attempt, Sergeant First Class Shughart and his team leader were inserted one hundred meters south of the crash site. Equipped with only his sniper rifle and a pistol, Sergeant First Class Shughart and his team leader, while under intense small arms fire from the enemy, fought their way through a dense maze of shanties and shacks to reach the critically injured crew members. Sergeant First Class Shughart pulled the pilot and the other crew members from the aircraft, establishing a perimeter which placed him and his fellow sniper in the most vulnerable position. Sergeant First Class Shughart used his long range rifle and side arm to kill an undetermined number of attackers while traveling the perimeter, protecting the downed crew. Sergeant First Class Shughart continued his protective fire until he depleted his ammunition and was fatally wounded. His actions saved the pilot's life. Sergeant First Class Shughart's extraordinary heroism and devotion to duty were in keeping with the highest standards of military service and reflect great credit upon him, his unit and the United States Army. How many Nigerian Soldiers or millitants do you think would knowingly volunteer for a mission like this when they were advised repeatedly that it meant almost certain death to be dropped in the middle of hundreds of approaching enemy millitants? Only two Delta force troopers armed with no heavy weaponry killed at least 24 Somali millitants armed with AKs until their ammo ran out and were overrun. And this sort of heroism was repeated all over the battlefield. Read more about the Somali conflict before making an erroneous conclusion. The only true losers in this issue were the Somalis. They threw away their one chance of peace in 1993 - and they are still fighting till today. |
SapeleGuy:REad my post above. They DID achieve their objective. Recommended reading: Black Hawk Down by Mark Bowden. |
ocelot2006:WRONG. The primary reason for that operation was not to capture Aidid, but to capture two of his top lieutenants. The US task force succeeded in that mission, capturing the men at the meeting within 30 minutes of the operation. The operation only went awry when the first black hawk crashed. 80% of the casualties suffered by the US was in the attempt to reach and secure the first crash site. Durant was released to the Americans unconditionally mere weeks after the fighting. There was NO prisoner exchange - the US rep made it abundantly clear to Aidid that non-release of the captive would ensure a far more vigorous US millitary response. Aidid got the message and released the captive forthwith. Aidid's lieutenants were released months later in a general prisoner release by the Americans. ocelot2006:18 US servicemen were killed that day, compared to well over a thousand Somalian militiamen killed. The only real disaster for the US then was the harrowing images of dead bodies being dragged along the ground. The decision to pull out of Somalia was a political one by the Clinton administration. While the whole fiasco is a valuable lesson to the US millitary of how logistics issues could easily turn a supposedly easy mission to a nightmare, to this day, the Black Hawk Down campaign serves as an example in the US millitary of the excellence of their elite special forces (especially the Delta Force and SEALs and to a lesser extent the Rangers) These guys dropped into the deadliest district in Somalia, surrounded by tens of thousands of armed militamen armed with RPGs and Ak-47s. That they came out of it the way they did is nothing short of amazing. |
Afam Good one! |
snowdrops: snowdrops:Move on with life already! Every human being is allowed to change his/her mind, to revise previously held beliefs or opinions. Instead of dwelling on the past, focus on the topic at hand! In my opinion, Oshiomhole hasn't done anything of note to justify the hype or the massive expectation placed on him. Kobojunkie:Kobojunkie, that's pretty naive. As someone else pointed out, the people can't impeach him. The best we can do is to vote the sucker out. And believe me, if he goes on like this, he has no prayer of being re-elected. |
The battle against the negative perception of Nigerians is on two fronts. One in your country, the next outside the country. Of both fronts, fixing the internal issues that plague Nigeria is of far more importance. Now you've wrangled an apology from Sony, i'd expect any well meaning Nigerian to DEMAND that Dora comes forth with measures and plans to vigorously attack 419 in the country. Instead all we hear is silence on that angle. Keep whining on and on about apologies while your country burns down around you. nonsense! |
Jenju, Abeg help me check out this no. It's for a 2007 Toyota Camry 4T1be46k37U052991 Many thanks! |
