Not interested in Ebay store, how much will it be when it hits Nigeria? Do you have any in Nigeria for sale? |
zoraro:Sanusi wasn't the one that recklessly gave out billions of Naira in bad debts. He was not the one that ran Oceanic Bank et al to the brink of disaster. He's even the one that approved an extremely generous bail out package for the banks perhaps without following due process. How exactly did you come about your conclusion? |
As the topic implies. I need a charger for my MSI Wind U100 Netbook ASAP. |
Interesting. So if i create a website overnight and post anything i feel like, you people will swallow it hook, line and sinker, abi? The source of this article does not give me any confidence at all. Besides, it's become all too common for some of these online news agencies to post all sorts of outrageous stories and attribute them to 'informed sources' or 'highly placed sources'. Either way, if you Nigerians know what's good for you, join me let's vote out PDP in 2011. |
mikeansy:Isn't it painfully clear that Atedo was merely introducing Sanusi? Is he supposed to break out the powerpoint charts when making an introduction? Sanusi was the one billed to discuss economics, not Atedo. Please stop with the silly comments about the 'naked emperor'. This fable is apt as a fitting metaphor in this case. mikeansy:Since when did you become a prophet? Sanusi has forced a bitter pill down your throat, so you don't have to choke down poison later on. You'd much rather have had the banks go to ruin before anything was done, abi? The papers today report that over 26 billion naira debt has been recovered by the banks in question since Sanusi took action. Is that not a positive? Are you not aware that banks had resorted to paper adverts begging the presidency to help them recover debts BEFORE sanusi took action? You people do not have the stomach for a revolution, or any action that could break a few greedy eggs. Too bad. |
Afaukwu is just a retarded troll and must be ignored by all. Richyblack sure loves anarchy. Any other forum and these idiots would have been hit with the banhammer ages ago. |
Every day you people come here blabbing about the need for a Revolution. Now someone takes the bold step to get rid of some miscreants who were leading us down to ruin and you people are criticizing him. Would you rather wait until the banks You Nigerian sicken me with your petty paranoia. As my friend Chxta says, "The South says the banking reforms is a northern agenda against the south. The North says Civil service reforms is a southern agenda against the North. With this kind of mentality, how do we progress in Nigeria?" |
Beaf:She hasn't been arrested because she's escaped arrest. There's a warrant for her arrest. I hope you do realise that hundreds of thousands of Nigerians have monetary deposits in the troubled banks, of which Oceanic is one? or the thousands of Nigerians that are shareholders in Oceanic Bank, are they 'silly and illogical' too? There's a global financial crisis on, and our previously impregnable banks have been shown to be weak-kneed. There's also the extremely reckles nature of lending carried out by Oceanic Bank under Ms. Ibru, yet you think Nigerians should not be agitated? Nobody gives a damn about millitary regimes. All we care about is our money, and the disaster that collapsing banks can bring to our economy. Is it so wrong to call for the heads of those who wilfully brought this evil upon us? |
becoomrich:You're an amusing fellow, but rather thickheaded. I need to always remember this so i don't make the mistake of ever taking you seriously. |
Check out his website. Read this and you'll see how implausible his story is. http://www.comandclem.org/about%20us.htm It's a shame this fellow has been able to mislead gullible Nigerians into thinking he was for real. |
This guy's story is so fishy, it stinks. I don't believe anyone offered him $1 billion, not to talk of refusing. His insistence that he was promised $2 per barrel is so laughable, i can't imagine why anyone would fall for it. Notwithstanding the amusingly generic product name 'Anti-corrosive paint', why would any oil company sign such an agreement when many of them barely make $5 per barrel? Especially during the '80s? All i see is another Abalaka-esque figure out to play on Nigerian's love for such wondrous tales. The federal Govt is very much the dominant partner in Oil production in Nigeria, so why are they not joined as part of this suit? Nearly went blind from working with salty water, eh? I wonder why there aren't more blind fishermen in town. |
OTEGA1:Do yourself a favour and go back to school. Shameful English. Really shameful. |
We are consumers, we demand value for money. As long as the Nigerian premier league remains a rigged, terrible spectacle, as long as commentaries are awful, camera angles are isometric, pitches are patch and violence prevails i cannot see myself watching it over the premier league. Enough is enough with these clowns trying to blackmail us with the 'patriotism' angle. Even in the US where there's a high level of patriotism, people buy japanese cars over American cars, simply because of the quality. Let the league's sponsors put more effort into improving their package and we may just be tempted. Until then, let them go and rest. |
Respect him and not scandalize him in public because he has done nothing wrong. Is it a crime for a ministry to flourish?. He is a vicar of Christ in Nigeria and due respect is the least we can do. Why do we waste our energy slandering these pastors when the likes of Ibori, Odili, Obasanjo are rarely slandered here?. Why slander a saint in favour of a crook?
Why do you people fail to answer the basic questions directed at you? 1. You claim Oyedepo is here to eradicate poverty. Why is such a prosperous church demanding extremely high school fees from students, rendering it inaccessible to the poor? 2. Charity begins at home. how many bloodsucking demons have been driven out of Nigeria by these pastors? Why does evil still take root in his home country? The Church -and brainwashed sheep like you - have failed Nigeria and their calling. innocent children are being killed as witches by pentecostal pastors in Akwa Ibom, yet not one single statement from your beloved ministers. |
ChiefS:Wonderful advice. By that same yardstick, you should be aware that studying is optional, and you can easily join the touts and millitants in the society. highly experience PROFESSORS are decently paid for civil servants. When you join the lecturing profession as a Lecturer Assistant (even with a first class degree) i doubt you earn up to 40k a month. Yet we want our brightest brains to lecture, abi? If we keep on this path, we'll always be a nation of TV repairers and Fridge servicers. Homeless palestinians can build and launch single stage rockets yet we're here on Nairaland jubilating when someone builds a World War I era vehicle and calls it an APC. |
maedan:You lack simple analytical skills. If service in academia is attractive enough to retain the best and brightest brains, isn't that in itself one of the most tangible long term gains you can think of? The 'lofty demands' you scoff at, do you even know what they are? Students are being taught in dilapidated classrooms, obsolete knowledge is being passed on because only the older generation of lecturers are being left on to teach, instead of the more modernized younger folk we see in other, better countries. Engineering laboratories have non-functional equipment. I graduated from Uni in 2003, i entered in 1998 for a 5 year programme. And i went through several strikes, including the long one in OBJ's tenure. So i wonder where you got your 7-8 years statistic from. Bullcrap! maedan:No. You don't feel for the ones in Uni. And if you had a brain you'd know that the Uni years present an excellent opportunity for mental development. Yet it's at this stage that our students are exposed to worthless equipment and outdated experiments. I remember my Uni days, remember when up to 15 students would huddle round ONE pendulum when carrying out an experiment. I remember the mechanical lab attendant explaining to us that none of the five lathe machines in the lab were working. They had been brought in in 1981! I remember all the first class graduates in the UNi who accepted work as lecturers assistants leaving within months to take up work in more juicy industries. You lack the self-respect i and a few others possess. We graduate and benchmark ourselves against others and realize we come up short in many areas. How many biochemistry graduates do you know that can instantly start working in DNA research? Most of them are busy working as bank marketers. How many computers did you have in your department before you graduated? How many research grants does your government hand over to the Universities? You're as cowardly and selfish as most Nigerians. And this is why we've always suffered, why the Govt can even raise fuel price to N100 overnight and know we'll capitulate after a few noises. Let's salute the NIgerians who have the balls to fight for what is right. |
What the hell is 'american specs' PS3? This is meaningless sales pitch. And your PS3 is overpriced. Better find a buyer before the PS3 slim hits. In case you didn't know, yesterday Sony cut $100 off the price of the PS3. |
Stamford007:I have nothing but contempt for this kind of mindset. chyk91:1. You're a student directly affected by this strike yet you don't know the demands ASUU are making aren't just about salary increase? Shame on you. 2. How many young, brilliant graduates do you know who would like to stay on and lecture in Universities? The best brains are leaving simply because lecturing is an underpaid, underappreciated and unrewarding career these days. maedan:So ASUU is supposed to cheerfully sacrifice themselves - and the future of Nigerian education - just for you, eh? No one is asking you people to rebel, or to carry guns, or to confront the armed forces with rocks and stones. ALl you're asked is to do ONE noble thing for once and remain strong. The future of Nigerian education is at stake here. You need better infrastructure, better equipment and you need to have the best brains being retained in academia. All you have to do is make a little sacrifice this once. It would help for you students to march out on the streets of Abuja to voice your complaints, but we all know Nigerians lack the balls to do anything of the sort. So there's the easy option of sitting things out. Yet apparently that's too hard for you, isn't it? Pathetic, really. |
Numaj:'Sell it to some novice'. Is that all you can think of? Poverty mentality at its finest. |
ikuyinminu:You're using the Beta version, which was due to expire in July, and is timed to shut down repeatedly after the expiry date. That's what happens when you buy N200 software in Otigba. Download the RC 1, this is valid until march 2010. |
The stuff runs like molasses, and it's only useful as a bragging tool to show your friends that your phone can run a desktop OS. 10 seconds later, you realize it's practically useless, and adds no value whatsoever. It's not worth you guys whining over it for two pages. Get something more productive to do! |
Beaf:The problem you have is that you have taken no steps to develop your mind, and you show no shame in exposing your ignorance in public. 1. The Apollo moon programme was terminated due to spiraling costs and safety issues. At that time the USA had flown several successful moon landings, and there was nothing left to prove, and precious little to gain. 2. Russia was not 'far ahead' in space technology at that time. First to start, yes, but they soon started losing ground to the Americans. Did Russia ever come out to say the moon landings were technically impossible? 3. The rockets used to send the Apollo craft into orbit long ago are outdated. NASA is working on a new generation of rocket boosters to carry the next wave into space. If you could be arsed to do some study you'd have known this by now. 4. The first generation of 'moon men' actually were celebrities. Do some reading! |
deb:The minister for Education is male, you dimwit! |
beystwin:So even after i've taken pains to show that her skills in spoken English aren't the issue, you still can spout this brainless assumption? You're right. you're not like me. You're rather daft, to put it delicately. So you really do think the majority of Nigerians practice witchcraft and visit Native doctors, abi? |
beystwin: beystwin:First you say she expressed her points in a way that any Nigerian should easily understand her. Now you claim she was not able to get her point across very well. Can you stop the double-speak? |
Why are my slaves frolicking freely instead of toiling away on the cotton plantation? lo, your master cometh! iykedee:O ye malcontent, will you not flee? Provide your location and i will teach you the true meaning of pain ![]() |
seunbballo:There's something called 'choice'. If people decide to eat it with fork and knife, what's your business? As long as they paid for it, it's their choice how they dispose of it. |
beystwin:You don't read very well, do you? My point has never been solely about her abuse of the English language. i'm more concerned with the content of her discourse. I've said that before, so i cannot fathom why you idiotically harp on about her diction. I see your childish assumption of me 'sleeping better at night' and 'pointing fingers at her' as little more than a freudian slip. I clearly understood the message she was trying to convey. like most Nigerians, i understand and speak pidgin English. However, it should be obvious - even to one such as yourself - that understanding the content does not make it any less dumb. Rita insists that 1. majority of Nigerians 'do demons' 2. The EFCC is under yahoo yahoo 3. The reason why the anti-corruption campaign has been unsuccessful in Nigeria is because the 419ers have jazz, and the EFCC have not been properly equipped with juju to fight back effectively. Points #1 is laughable. She knows what the words 'majority' and 'demons' mean, so we cannot explain that away on bad english. Point #2 is funny. Point #3 is the silliest by far, and it shows a shocking lack of analytical skills, which is exclusive of the quality of anyone's language skills. The fact that you support these ludicrous claims serves as an indication of your own level of intelligence. In fact, you serve as an excellent example. You have a decent command of the English language, yet you're somewhat lacking on the intelligence front. |
beystwin:you're probably one of those nigerians who 'do demons'. I've done many dumb things in this life. But I'm not superstitious and I do not think we Nigerians use 'jass' and 'demons'. I'm smart enough to blame our current situation on tangible things we can solve, not take the daft route of blaming 'em on spiritual forces. And I'm probably smarter than you. Dolt. |
You people make me laugh. I cringe when i hear some people say English is 'oyibo tongue'. Whether you like it or not, you clowns are Nigerians, and English is your national language. it's a language you've been taught from birth as befits a national language. Rita's problem isn't with her lack of dexterity in the spoken English language. Look past the horrible english and focus on the message she was trying to convey in the youtube vid. Does that ramble about EFCC, Jazz and Yahoo Yahoo strike you as intelligent discourse? Does it really? We Nigerians do demons? At the end of the day, you viewers will decide who wins. But don't focus on the English part and look past the dumbness. |
Umm, why's there a 'texas' number plate on the blue camry? |
Ibime:And wasn't it MEND that brought this wave of kidnapping upon us in the first place? I do not believe i am you enemy, Ibime. There's a lot to fix in Nigeria. I have my cogent reasons why i do not trust or admire MEND. Does that place me on the side of devils too? Let us debate, not dispute ![]() |

? Hellooo, where are you talking out of? your ar$£?? I think it's your case that is pathetic, because you actually think there will be any long-term gains to be achieved from all this. You can save your contempt, it's not affecting any one. This is not the first time we've been asked to sacrifice our future because of the so-called ASUU cause. Maybe no one should enrol into any university for the next ten years, until the ASUU have finally achieved all they want from the government - because at this rate it might take that long. Once their lofty demands have been met, maybe then we should be allowed to enrol because at least we can be sure to have an unbroken 4-5years school session, not the 7-8years one we're getting now. Rubbish.
