@arsenal4eva 1. Confirm that is your actual path to your iTunes .exe 2. Which version of iTunes are you using? |
rasputinn:So the Government has money to settle millitants, but has no money to improve the lot of lecturers that have devoted their lives to educating the populace? |
reginalove:So what have YOU done about this strike issue? Left to me, the first thing you students must do after this strike is called off is to SACK all those inept cowards in NANS. Those are the people what should be carrying the battle on for the students, but instead they sit idle! |
SapeleGuy:1. There were no Marines fighting in the 'Black Hawk Down' battle. 2. That was nowhere near a defeat for the US forces in Somalia. |
1. This has nothing to do with 'Politics' 2. It's stupid to generalize. |
@Poster At least the man was arrested and will be jailed up to 32 years in prison for fraud. and that's the norm in the west for anyone found guilty of fraud. How often does that happen in Nigeria? How many court injunctions did Madoff take to get himself off the hook? Instead of taking time out to fix the problems bedeviling your country, you're trying to also point accusing fingers. Absolute bullshit! |
Gamine:err. . .shouldn't that be 'I will soon start watching it'? Don't worry, we still love you, yellow pawpaw ![]() PS: i know say i dey find trouble ![]() |
Gamine:Your photoshop skills have improved, little one ![]() PS: I forgive you already! |
otunbaj1:called your MTN line, no answer. do you have a pink or red netbook? The color is important, as i've stressed before. Gamine:Don't worry, it's not for you this time ![]() |
As stated in the subject, i need either a pink or red colored netbook ASAP. It's meant as a gift for a lady who loves girly stuff. Let me know if any of you have any in stock |
I'm interested! |
Windows 7 hasn't been officially released yet. Anyone using it now is still using the RC, which lacks some of the refinements found in the final version. Why not wait until the official release before trying to solve issues, especially if some of them may have been fixed in the final release? |
wHO ASKED HER TO GO FOR THE TUMMY TUCK IN THE FIRST PLACE. iF SHE HAD BEEN GRATEFUL TO GOD SHE WOULD NOT GO FOR THE SURGERY. aBEG MAKE THEM FREE THE GUY JARE
What an idiot you are! Her body belonged to her, and it's her choice how she wanted to make herself look better. Besides, with OBJ's legendary womanising ways, who could blame her for wanting to look a little more beautiful, if only to re-ignite interest from her randy husband? |
morpheus24:
overseas you see people boycotting pillow/mattress companies in protest of how geese are treated when goose feathers are needed. In Nigeria you get applauded the more abuse you heap on yourself. Even more if others do it for you.
When you grew up seeing Rambo gun down hundreds of generic Afghans, or when you cheered Chuck Norris on as he slew thousands of North Vietnamese soldiers, did you complain? Dont you watch movies done by Americans depicting their fellow Americans as killers, drug dealers, double agents etc? In the smash hit 'Osuofia in London', was the sole Briton there depicted in a very positive light? When you call that bag 'Ghana-must-go', do you feel you're insulting Ghana? Nigerians can be such whiny hypocrites, consumed with faux patriotism. 90% of you educated elite that are whining and signing petitions did not even turn up to vote in the last elections. I'm glad i watched the movie. It was splendid! |
'Touch not my anointed' yet many of you were all too eager to lambast Rev. King and TB Joshua. Don't they qualify as 'Men of God' too? And i disagree with the original poster; Adeboye's seeming lack of reluctance to fraternise with many of our corrupt ex-leaders (i.e Obasanjo) is already a statement in itself. |
Lemme have the model number of the samsung, i'm interested |
The main learning point from this silly topic is how many simpletons we have here in Nairaland. I personally blame home videos for the slow decay of logic and common sense in many of my people ![]() emyah:You just can't make up things like this, can you? Your ignorance of world history is contemptible. |
Oh. My. God! You people see a ludicrous article from a source that does not inspire confidence 'huhuonline'. You see an article with no mentioned source, only the tried and true method of referring to 'impeccable sources'. Yet you fall over yourselves to take this sensationalist crap seriously? When you people keep screaming for a revolution in NigeRia, first carry that revolution to your brains! Fela was wrong; it isn't just soldiers that act like zombies. |
Even if he believed the IG was after his life, after serving for so many years in the NPF, it's impossible to believe that he had no friends in the Nigerian Police force. Why then was there no official report to the Police of the 'assassination attempt'? More importantly, when announcing this to the press, why was there no proof whatsoever of the attempt on his life, including photos of the alleged 'bullet-riddled' car? a favorite ploy of those fleeing african countries is to insist that their lives were in danger back home. I suspect this to be the case in this Ribadu's matter. |
This is a positively ancient tv model, and if you really bought it 9 months ago you should feel really ripped off. As an old style plasma tv, the value is minimal at best. |
The amusing this is that none of you clowns can point out any example of where keyamo has been 'corrupted' or show where he's 'sold out'. And don't even get me started on saharareporters' dumbass allegations. Instead you should hang your heads in shame for not supporting this fellow when he took on the national assembly over the vehicle scam. Keyamo may not be a Gani, but he has the chance to carve out his own niche as a supporter of the masses. |
peter2010:photoshop has now become a metaphor for digital photo manipulation. Just like the word 'Google' is now almost synonymous with 'Search'. |
Yet again i must remind this fellow that this is the 'Politics' section. if you have problems reading or understanding simple English, i can organize night classes for you at no charge. |
Jakumo = No 1! Everyone (apart from RCCG members) loves this guy's witty writing. For sheer entertainment value, i may have to also recommend becommrich. Kinda like how a crackhead at the dining table spices up the conversation, this guy's relentless barrage of maps and outrageously silly suggestions leaves me in stitches. Besides, he's the only one on record to have confounded Jakumo before ![]() |
Chrisbenogor:Ah. Now i see the problem. Some of you simply struggle with English. How the hell can you infer from that ad that we are 'a nation of scammers'? Chrisbenogor:Sales of PS3 consoles shut up 1000% last week. I think Sony are pretty happy with themselves right now ![]() |
ciscostaz:It's not only Nigerians involved in online scams, but it's mainly NIgerians involved in the 'Nigerian Email' scam - emails promising a large share of loot from an ex-general etc. I have over 3000 posts on Nairaland, with most of them centered on Nigeria and Nigerian issues. How stupid can you be to assume i'm not Nigerian? You papier-mache patriots amuse me. How many of you bothered to vote during the last elections sef? How many pay taxes? TheSeeker:When did you see me comparing Nigeria to the United States? Unlike you, i live in Nigeria so i'm pretty sure i know more about Nigeria's dynamics than you do. All you people have suceeded in doing by raising a furore over Sony's ad is winning the battle but losing the war. |
ciscostaz:It's people like you that encourage this stigma you whine about. Why the hell do you think these people shouldn't look at you with suspicion when tens of thousands of your brothers are sending them scam emails, and many of them appear in the news, apprehended by foreign law enforcement agencies for duping westerners? Haven't you seen/heard truly sickening stories of how victims of 419 have been broken financially and emotionally by relentless and merciless Nigerian 419 gangs? So as far as you're concerned, it's not the bad things we do that make us pariahs, instead we should blame the people who publicise the bad things we do. And that's just sad. As for your 'supposedly Nigerian' statement, i can't help laughing. over 70% of you educated Nigerians failed to turn up to vote during the last elections, Nairaland opinion polls show that as much as 40% of respondents will deliberately avoid paying tax if they can help it. Patriotism is best shown when you pay taxes, vote actively and obey the laws of your country. Not by sending online petitions and feeling insulted over an issue you should feel SHAME for! |
9ijaprince:You're joking, right? You think Sony hinged the success of their marketing strategy on the 'Nigerian millionaire' line? PS3 sales are up 1000% in the UK, thanks to the $100 price drop and the redesigned PS3, i doubt even one sale was made based on the 'controversial' ad. |
1. This has nothing to do with politics. Can't you read? 2. Very poor Photoshop. |
savesoul:so becAuse she did well in NAFDAC that means we have to place a halo over her head for all eternity, abi? Judge her based on what she's doing now - if you were to grade her on what she's doing now, what grade would that be? Her job has changed, she's no longer with NAFDAC. Simple as that! |
Hmm, let's say your Objective is to elminAte things that bring ridicule and shame to Nigeria's image. What do you think is the greater evil - sony's ad or the thousands of scammers sending mails in your neighbourhood? |
TheSeeker:The 'nigerian millionaire' crack referred to scam mails emanating from Nigeria ultimately promising to make you a millionaire. It does not imply that all Nigerians are scammers or that Nigerian millionaires are fraudulent. I wonder how people came up with that interpretation. IMHO, it only shows a definite lack of intelligence, I can show you loads of forum and blog posts making reference to Nigerian mails. And to be honest, e've done little to shake off our tag as the poster child for 419 scams. As a true patriot, I concern myself with more pressing mAtters like the ASUU strike and the attendant collaps of our educational sector. Also of note is the rampant corruption, scams and tribalism killing our country. I only hope you petition writers have the sense to target these other societal ills, but from past experience I have little optimism. |
