I have a personal experience.
I am a writer and i wrote a book a publishing company was interested in.
However, the money needed to publish it was too much
and then, they could not find sponsors for me because i was not living in europe.
If i was in Europe i could be a world class writer by now,
In fact, one other of my books i could not also publish or get a publishing company to market for me as the price is
not affordable due to the high exchange rate of the naira to the dollar or pound is quite high.
It might take me time to be recognized as a writer simply because i am living in and born in Africa.
