Seriously! Scanning through replies from the first page to my comment, no one was able to recall that Nigeria system of education has moved from Universal Primary Education (6-3-3-4) to Universal Basic Education (9-3-4).

Under the Nigerian system of education we have Basic 1 to 9 (Primary 1 to JSS 3), thus there shouldn't be any transitional examination (common entrance) from Basic 6 (Primary 6) to Basic 7 (JSS 1).

Lazy Nigeria News Media and uninformed lazy Nigerian Youth could not take a fact finding search to know what our current National Policy on Education (As revised) states to determine whether or not the action is right or wrong.

Nigerians are the most interesting people on earth. Wake up man!
Get sense, what relationship is a business contract with an organisation issue instruction not backed by any Nigerian act or law?

When you are filling form for PTA, one of the terms and conditions is that in event I am unable to travel, I will return. You signed in agreement to it making it valid for court prosecution. PTA is a business contract.

Arresting people spray Nigerian currency is a circular (instruction) by CBN to protect our National symbol. Unfortunately, apart from the circular there were no act of National or state assembly criminalising the act. So, technically speaking, you cannot prosecute anyone successful using CBN circular.
PoliticsRe: 2023: Hope For South Eastern President Dims by TGM2015:
We know this.

For APC, for the region that gave all their support through political membership and mobilisation of voters to coast the party to victory, in all fairness, the presidency should go to SW. APC lost in SW since inauguration has been voters protest vote against the candidate and not against the party. So SW deserves the 2023 President slot.

For PDP, SE has given their all, even go to extend of killing their brothers for supporting APC and not PDP. They sacrifice their blood, money, energy, I mean, everything both the electorate and the political members including non-electorates. If there is any region that should get presidential slot in PDP for 2023, it should be SE uncontested. But we knew since early 2020 that PDP presidential ticket is going to the North come 2023.

Unfortunately for APC political gladiator in SE, they discovered very late, except for Amaechi, that their only bargain for 2023 presidential slot is in their political strength that will show they have capacity to win and lobby political gamers across the nation and their people will support and show love to the party. Unfortunately, SE as at today, is the arrowhead for separationist and fight against the North, specifically fighting the Fulanis that has greater influence in the north.

Umahi and other lawmakers in SE realising that SE have been Used and dump by PDP are now moving to APC to brighten SE chances to clinch APC presidential slot for 2023. But their moves were very late, the deserving region has fought for the post.

We will surely be going to 2023 elections with SW as national Chairman for leading opposition (PDP) and Presidential candidate for the ruling party (APC). SW are not slaves as they referred to them by their southerners counterpart, they are wise enough to understand the direction of things and play the game well to win the future. SE should, considering the current political disposition, be lobbying for Senate President in PDP and House Speaker or Senate Majority Leader in APC.

In all, before you act in life, think about tomorrow, you will discover a natural holding back force anytime you are about to take some actions. When the past is controlling the present of a man, the future is always jeopardise; such is the case of South Easterners, their past is controlling their present such that their future prospects is now highly jeopardised, politically and economically. It is not being a coward or fool but being wise enough to win and enjoy tomorrow. In igbó land, it is only a coward that will live to tell the story of once upon a time brave man.

Hope say no be initial gra gra u dey do so. After all there was an outside influence when you imposed Uzodinma on the good people of imo state abi u wan deny dat one make we show you reciept
Both of you are too blinded by your political affliction and hypocritical in your post.

Among Zamfara, Bayelsa and Imo state, Imo state judgement was the most democratic in the sense that it took cognisance of the overall recorded votes casted. INEC through her returning officers by themselves, unilateral cancelled valid RECORDED casted votes because by their own assumptions/believe, the cancelled votes were corruptly recorded as casted votes. Supreme Court ruled that INEC or any of her representatives are not empowered by any recognised law to cancel validly announced and recorded votes from the polling units. It argued that they erred in canceling the APC VOTES in the affected polling units while other parties votes for the same units were counted. INEC and PDP had the opportunity to present evidences and proof that those cancelled votes for APC were actually not casted by voters but illegally added before/after announcement when recording on the prescribed form. Both INEC and PDP did not even make attempt to proof the alleged irregularities, so there was no issue as to whether they failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that those votes were illegally added as casted votes. Therefore, in the absence of evidence showing that the recorded votes as contained in INEC prescribed form, which was available to all parties were illegally recorded as votes casted, the supreme Court added the wrongly cancelled votes (that may actually have been illegally obtained) and declared the candidate with highest votes the winner according to prevailing Electoral law.

But in case of Zamfara and Bayelsa, the will of of the people through the casted votes were overturned because of the party and candidate misdeeds respectively, without giving the electorate a second chance to re-elect another candidates to rule them as their preferred candidates/party were disqualified.

Well.. I'm not saying that we should be stubborn towards law officers.. all I'm saying is that the country don bàjé

Well since my years of being a Nigerian in Nigeria.. I don't think I've heard about any law that forbids that..
lonelydora:
I was running late for a meeting this morning at Oyigbo in Rivers State. Because of the bad nature of the road to Oyibo,i decided to join to a commercial bus.

I was already on call before the C4i checkpoint after toll gate. All of a sudden i was hearing some banging on the bus, and the policeman shouting "Driver Clear Well"

I didn't even i know i was the reason for the parking until some passengers told me to end the call. I asked why, they said we were being parked because i making call. See me see trouble ooo. I told them i cannot cut on the person calling me. Na so, i finish my call jejely.

After a while the policeman came and said i should come down, that i should handover my phone to him. First word that came out of my mouth was "It's my personal property and he has no right to cease my phone" Na so fear catch am.

He went to call their commander, and the man came and said i should identify myself. I told him I'm a Nigerian. He asked why i was i making calls? I told him i didn't know it was offence to make calls at police checkpoints.

He said i was proving stubborn. How nah? Before i could say a word, one of them gave me a slap (E hot shaa) from behind and dragged me to their small office. I swear i wanted to react but held myself, and told him i am leaving him because he's on uniform. He was wearing jacket which covered his name and his number. I was trying to get his name, and he noticed and buttoned the jacket.

The commander finally came and said i should give him my phone. I told him i have to lock the phone first because of the confidential stuffs i have. He agreed and allowed me to lock the phone. I pleaded to make a call or send a text, he said if i try it, that he will shoot me. Omo, na there i come calm down before my sad story will grace front page on Nairaland. Rivers state too hot, abegi!

Someone (who i suspect to be a military officer on mufti) i didn't even know stopped and demanded to know what was my offence. He told them he saw the way i was being dragged and that i look so gentle.

Las Las, he pleaded on my behalf and asked the commander to give me my phone back. The man gave me a lift to Oyigbo and said next time, i should just say "Sorry" and move on.

NOW, IS THERE ANY WRITTEN NIGERIAN LAW BANNING MAKING OF CALLS AT POLICE CHECKPOINTS?
Guys, be calming down. There is no law in this country forbidden anyone to make calls at check point, but for security reasons, it can be a proactive measure.

First, that army personnel that came down and asked you to apologize, what do you think is mission was? Or you think Army people dey pokenose to sister agencies anyhow? The guy, in my assumption, must have get down, believing the police people has started harassing innocent Nigerian (him judging you by your calmness) and need to teach them a lesson. But, after getting his fact, had to agree with their actions, and apologize.

Now, let me give you a scenario. In a university environment, where cult activities is high, and the signature is wearing black and black or red and red. You then decided to go out wearing black and black or red and red, the security operatives on sighting you start to treat you like a criminal. You see, there is no law of the land that said don't wear black and black (that is even some orthodox pastors dresses but with a known pattern) or red and red but the current security situation in that environment demands that no one dares wear black and black or red and red.

What a professional security operative will do, is to profile you and decide if you are innocent or not. At least, the oga allows you lock your phone and keep it safe, but that guys that slapped you react emotionally, he has personal issues with group of people they thought you belong to.

Anyway, anywhere there is are high security threats, there are limit to enforcement of fundamental human rights. In Nigeria today, with our high insecurity environment, just obey before complain .

Okay, sure, you will but will get justice from the courts in Rivers state? Even at Supreme Court you have no guarantee that her lordship, who double as private legal adviser to the Rivers state governor will allow justice to prevail.

Anyway, her lordship knows by letters of the law, once you are suspended as a member of a party, your right to hold on to any position is void. The only way to go through this is to challenge the suspension in a court of law. In Nigeria corruption word, "shop for your own justice".

TonyeBarcanista:
Prince Uche Secondus, the now suspended National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party was suspended by his ward chapter.

The suspension was ratified by Andoni LGA chapter, where he hails from.

The suspension was also ratified by the Rivers State Executive Committee of PDP.

On this above ground, it became lawful for the court to grant the prayers seeking restraining of Secondus because a suspended member of the party cannot function in any capacity as he has lost all rights and privileges by the suspension.

Let's also recall that a former national chairman of PDP, Dr Nwodo, also lost his position due to issues he had with his ward chapter.

Tonye Barcanista✅
The emperor of River state. We know the emperor behind the LGA suspension, the court ruling and the "unappointed" Legal adviser from Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Secondus, should not waste his time and money pursuing justice from the courts, because history has shown that any case that the emperor has interest in, are always wọn at the Supreme Court with the "unappointed" legal adviser lobbying her way to be appointed or her cohort appointed as one of the judges to preside over the matter.

Anyway, you fail to give us the ground for his suspension from the LGA chapter.

Yes of course.

The daily transport to and fro to work is atleast N1,500 and such a person will still have to buy and eat morning and afternoon food, dress well and has a family. Above all, because of traffic and distance to workplace, such a person will be leaving house atleast by 5am and coming home can reach 10pm.

Is it worth it?,Kindly advise
With this condition, NO unless you are considering relocating closer to the company. If you are considering the later option, make sure there is job security for the next 5 years at least.

By the existence of a bankers/customer relationship, the bank has a fiduciary duty to protect their customer or if you like, act in the best interest of their customer.

This is the reason the banks often get sued. When a customer feels the bank did not act in his/her best interest, then there is a breach of this fiduciary duty which leads to a law suit against the banks.
Now to your post, you are actually partially correct, now let me help you to complete the first paragraph.

"By the existence of a bankers/customer relationship, the bank has a fiduciary duty to protect their customer or if you like, act in the best interest of their customer", in accordance with valid and current laws of the land including court orders

The petitioner didn't take the bank to court because they acted against their fiduciary duties to them as a customer but that the document on which the bank acted was not valid as the institution that grant the order did not have such power under the existing and enabling laws to do so.

They went to the court to vacate and void the bankers order not to the court to prove that the bank acted illegal or against their fiduciary duties.

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ruled that magistrate courts do not have the powers to issue orders freezing bank accounts.
...
The banks in their defence said the letters from the IG office were accompanied with a document called a "bankers order" from a magistrate court, ordering the freezing of the accounts.
...
In the judgment, Ekwo held that there was no existing Nigerian law or relevant foreign law empowering magistrates to make such an order for the freezing of personal account.
...
"A magistrate lacks the powers to make bankers orders and/or order freezing or enabling a post no debit on bank accounts pursuant to non-existent/repealed section 7 of the Banker's Order Act 1847."
From the news, the IG never issued order to freeze any account, he only presented the order document. Hence, the name of Police or IG was not included in the judgment order as quoted in the post.

“INEC may consider electronic collation of results, provided the national network coverage is adjudged to be adequate and secured by the Nigerian Communications Commission and approved by the National Assembly.”
The clause above, I believed is the best for Nigeria as of today.

2015 elections was postponed by INEC on advice of NSA and security apparatus that they can not guarantee security for February 14. PDP didn't not say the security agencies are interfering into INEC independency.

INEC is not, does not and can not have the authority to declare or ascertain the capacity of network providers to provide internet (data not voice) to all assigned polling units. It is only NCC that is empowered by law and technically equipped to do so.

On coming to National Assembly, I see a reason for that. Even if NCC declared they have capacity, there should be avenue, in the interest of Nigerians through their national representatives to ascertain their readiness to be true. Even, if it is reverse, there should be avenue that will bring to public that they actually do not have the capacity.

PDP should learn that opposition is not ALL about opposing everything about ruling party, they should oppose responsibly.

The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has said the security challenges being experienced in the state was being caused because of the influx of more people and businesses to the state due to favourable policies of the state.

“Yes, I can go to Igangan and take responsibility for some of these activities but security is our collective responsibility. It is not just for the government or governor alone. So, everybody needs to come on board and play their own part.”
Look at the hypocrisy of PDP governors, after Buhari told them to take responsibility as a Chief Security Officer of their states, they now realized that
1. population is major contributor to security challenges but it was not for Buhari managing approximately 200m millions population. What is Oyo State population?
2. government favourable policy allow for more inflow of neighbouring states but the continuous inflow of other neighbouring countries to Nigeria is not about good FG policies. Lame excuse to cover up the population factor as the population has always been there even with the last administration in Oyo State, the Security has never been this bad.
3. security is a collective responsibility, it is for government alone and everyone must play their part. But, it is only FG responsibility alone before now.

2. You let her go to Abuja and you both visit each other like she suggested but that's not very cost effective, especially if you're running two homes and that 1.5M may not be so profitable at the end of the day.

3. Speak with your bosses and request a transfer to Abuja, so you stay together as a family where you can be actively involved in training your kids - women make sacrifices like these for their hubby's and hubby's career and for the sake of their families as a whole, why does it seem so hard for you men to do so for the same reasons women do?

400k + 600k income is not bad for one household, just make sure you don't increase the number of kids, because life is not going to be less expensive as we all grow older.
