PoliticsRe: Rivers 2023: PDP Governorship Primaries Under Threat by TGM2015: 9:27pm On May 23, 2022
fergie001:
No, you are very wrong. Check your bolded again!

You cannot challenge the primaries of a Political Party unless you are an aspirant in the Primaries.

The SC in Eze v PDP (2018) describes an Aspirant as a person who partook in the very primary election of the party.

You don't become valid because you bought a form....NO.
You must complete the cycle, by been screened, cleared before you head to the Primaries.

Can Obaseki be said to have contested the Primaries of the APC in 2022? Yes or No? The answer is NO.

Dagogo was not cleared and the Primary has not taken place. For you to qualify as an aspirant in the Primary, you need to be cleared.

- Dagogo was not cleared
- The Primary has not taken place.

What qualifies you to challenge a Primary election is if those two conditions above are met.

Since the primary hasn't taken place and he has not been cleared, it is said to be Pre-Primary suit. This kind of suits are internal affairs of a Political Party, the Court cannot touch it.
Simple question, as at today, the likes of Amaechi, Tinubu, Osinbajo, Lawan, Bello, Peter Obi, Sàràkí, Atiku, etc, are to be referred to as presidential ________________?
PoliticsRe: Rivers 2023: PDP Governorship Primaries Under Threat by TGM2015: 9:02pm On May 23, 2022
fergie001:
Listen, that's the law.

You cannot challenge the primaries of a Political Party unless you are an aspirant in the Primaries. No matter the reason, as long as you didn't participate, you can't challenge it.

Let me cite you a case like that, Maihaja contested the Yobe seat, he bought the form but was prevented by the Police to submit his form. The SC made the above statement that why it is unfortunate that he was blocked by the Police on the instructions of the State Party Chairman, nothing can be done because he didn't participate. Maihaja v Geidam 2017.

In that same case and many reported cases like PDP v Sylva, Agi v PDP, Alaibe v Diri, the SC has insisted that pre-primary suits are Non-justiceable. They are the internal affairs of a political party hence the Court lacks Jurisdiction.

Again, the screening exercises is a responsibility of the Party and not INEC...decision of the NWC is final on that. Even if he is released today, the PDP reserves the rights not to clear him, and the Court is divested from making any pronouncements on that.

The only thing Dagogo can do is file a fundamental human rights suit, and before the case is decided the Primary is over best he can get is compensation for damages or he defects and get substituted by another Party.
You are totally wrong on the bold statement. The process of primaries starts with purchasing of expression of interest and nomination form, except, he was screened out or failed to submit his form, he is still a valid aspirants.

This might be the first case Wike will loose now that his saviour is out from supreme Court.
BusinessRe: Has Titan Trust Bank Taken Over Union Bank by TGM2015: 8:52pm On May 18, 2022
CALEB1590:
Late last year, it was reported that titan trust bank have bought around 89 percent stake of union bank, but my concern is why they have not started rebranding all union bank branches like access bank did when they acquired diamond bank. This really bring me to this question. Did titan actually acquire those stakes in your union bank.
Bought 89% stake (shares) does not translate to bought Union Bank. The implications of the transaction is that Titan has major controlling power and influence on the management and operational processes of Union.
PoliticsRe: The Game Behind The Numerous APC Aspirants, Despite The High Cost Of Forms. by TGM2015: 6:39am On May 10, 2022
BluntCrazeMan:
Let's deeply analyse the APC’s game on the number of aspirants who purchased the N100m Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.
..
The new Electoral Act had stipulated that the parties should submit their statements of accounts before the commencement of the campaigns, and then, after the elections; and they should also submit the party‘s income-and-expenditures reports as well.
..
Also, the Electoral Act pegged the maximum amount an individual and/or a group of people and/or an association/organisation can donate to either an aspirant/candidate or to a party.

So, they are pumping-in their personal donations now into the party in form of purchasing the forms.
So that their statements of accounts would appear legit in the end.

If the statement of accounts didn't coincide with the income-and-expenditures reports, then they are in for some serious electoral-misconduct cases.
And they are trying to avoid such cases right from the onset.
I have being thinking along this line of thoughts, the number of aspirants is crazy and the political closeness of people picking it form whether directly or indirectly is becoming more like support than betrayal.

However, Ejimakor says otherwise. He tweeted on Friday; "Britain DID NOT declare #IPOB a terrorist group. Sorry to disappoint those that have concluded otherwise."

"Read that Report again & be guided."
The lawyer is right UK has no power to declare any organisation in Nigeria a terrorist group, so they can and will never declare IPOB a terrorist group. But what the lawyer did not declare to his deluded people and NK followers is that UK has accepted Nigeria declaration of IPOB has terrorist organisation with many evidences backed by news in dailies and viral videos.

Getting asylum in UK as IPOB and MASSOB members or their affiliate has become increasingly difficult if not impossible.

What have you to say now UK has clarified they didn’t designate IPOB a terrorist group?
Hope you read the last paragraph of the clarification (reposted below) you are referring to?

Seems you are the one that needs to read. Read the last part of the press release again.

“This CPIN also acknowledges that the Nigerian government has proscribed IPOB as a terrorist organisation, some members of IPOB have reportedly used violence against the state and members of the public, and advises that persons who have committed human rights abuses must not be granted protection.
BusinessRe: How Do I Recover My Money From Union Bank? by TGM2015:
xcelpro:
Good day Nairaland.
Please how do I recover my money from Union Bank?
On 19th April 2022, I went to use their ATM at about 8:10 a.m and I was debited N20k without cash dispense because the machine went off while counting the money due to power failure from the bank's generator house.
After 24hrs I went to their branch to lay a compliant and they acknowledged the dispense error and started that it will be reversed after 24hrs which did not happen.
I called their customer care line 2 days later and one of their agent told me that it will be reversed after 24hrs and that she has sent It for manual reversal.
Despite this I didn't get the reversal.

I again went to the bank last week Friday, 23rd April and the customer service apologized that it must be reversed that day which did not still happen.
I chatted them up on Twitter, and they claim that it has been reversed, and after proving that nothing has been reversed they stopped responding to my messages on Twitter.
I sent them a mail and they didn't respond till yesterday, where they stated that the issue will be resolve within 48 hours.
Nothing has happened yet.
I tried calling their their customer service now and I noticed that I can no longer reach them with my two lines, probably they blocked my line.

P.s; I am fully aware that they have breached their obligation in respect to banker-customer relationship and that I would be entitled to damages if I sue them for this.
But the truth is, instituting a legal action now would be too expensive for me coupled with the litigation process.

Please what do you suggest I do apart from litigation?
Can you help with screenshot or copy and paste the description/narration of the transaction in question? Please, edit all other information, just the narration of that transaction. Let us take it from there.

Meanwhile, you did not state whether the ATM card used was Union Bank ATM card. If your card is Union Bank and you used it on union bank ATM, you may need check you account statement through their mobile app to confirm whether or not it has been reversed. If not, provide the transaction description as requested above.

If the card used was another bank card, your point of call should be to the bank that issued you the ATM for refund. This will take approximately 5 working days or lese.

what this judge has done is to extend to governors a provision which is specifically addressed to National Assembly. This is judicial legislation and is unconstitutional.

The principle that if you are elected on the platform of one party, you shouldn’t change to another party without resigning is a good one. I think it was an unfortunate omission that the governors were not included. I agree with the judge that the same principle applies, both as a principle of law and morality.

What l'm saying in essence above is that in as much as the principle upon which the judge based his judgement is a good one, it is not within the jurisdiction of the court/judiciary to legislate laws...that's the purview of the Legislature.
The bold is the conclusion of the whole matter. The judge err in adding to the Constitution.

omonla10:
let me explain to u..

If a car was supposed to pay 3million duty... U bribe customs with 700,000 and u pay 1.5miliion duty.

Even at that, patrol customs(FOU) extorted money from u from 50,000 upwards on the road for the next few months or years.

But with the e-invoice, u get the 3million invoice and pay the correct duty.. No more bribes and settlement at the ports or on the road..

To me as a clearing agent, I will be loosing over 80% of what I normally see as profit cos of these bribes..

But as a Nigerian, for the greater good, its the best thing that can happen to customs issues cos the fraud too much.

NB.. This my explanation applies to car imports alone which is my area of specialisation..
You a patriot Nigerian for not bad mouthing a good policy even though you will greatly be affected negatively.

If Ladoja is an elder brother to Tinubu, then Tinubu age cannot be more than Ladoja own.

If Ladoja is 77 years, and age group in Yoruba land is around 4 years, then Tinubu should be less than 73 years.

We may conclude that the 69 years accredited to Tinubu, which has been consistent in all his public documents even in 90s maybe correct after all.

Nnamdi Kanu is from a region called 5% and Dot and no political solution is in the offing because Buhari does not have the intellectual capacity to engage him in any discussion.
You quite use the right word, until the MNK and his followers are remorseful and shows a considerable level of repentance, political solutions cannot work. If they want political solutions then Kanu and his IPOB followers must first declare their support for one Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Nnamdi Kanu: We Prefer Political Solution, Others Like Him Got Amnesty - Ohaneze by TGM2015:
You can not be speaking of amnesty while you still continue to do and intensify efforts on why you are arrested. Amnesty is for repentant criminals and salvation is for repentant sinners.

“And we have repeatedly said that Igbo nation is not at war with Nigeria. Therefore, what is happening can be handled. I will use the words ‘political solution’ as the answer. Dialogue is the answer.
Big fat lie, not at war with Nigeria but destroying are Nigeria security apparatus, declaring that no Nigerian anthem should be recited in biafraland, in gun battle with Nigeria security forces.
I understand, you are not at ware but at battle field with Nigeria.

“We in Igboland have made it categorically clear that we prefer a political solution to it — a dialogue to end it. It is clear to the rest of Nigeria,” he said. [/b]
Have they dialogue with their sons Kanu and the IPOB miscreants? If you can dialogue with your sons and daughters to stop their atrocities while dialogue with external person to forgive them.

[quote]“Just as other sections of Nigeria, some areas of Nigeria, people who behaved like Kanu have been forgiven, given amnesty and integrated into the country.
Let Kanu do what those other sections of Nigeria does, and see if he will not be forgiven. The Bible that most of South Easterners believe in, declared that we cannot continue in sin and expect grace to be granted. Kanu and his followers cannot continue to go against the sovereignty of Nigeria state and expect grace from her.

“Prerogative of mercy is exclusively the right of the president. We are not talking about court. We are not talking about use of force. Use of force is dangerous for everybody and it will definitely not solve the problem. It will make it worse.
Has your sons stopped using forces, you cannot be using forces against the government, even going to the extent of killing, roasting Nigeria security personnel, and expect the government come to engage you without force.

PoliticsRe: Malami: Why Buhari Will Not Sign Proposed Electoral Law by TGM2015:
eldoradoxx:
Malami is trying to deceive the gullible Nigerians. Party primaries whether direct or indirect is the responsibility of political parties and therefore INEC does not have to spend money for party primaries. The political parties make billions from sale of nomination forms, why not use it to conduct primaries and even pay INEC primary election monitors. Again, Malami irresponsibly wants to hoodwink Nigerians into believing that primaries take place in polling units and therefore top difficult to monitor. Nigeria has about 8000 political wards in all the LGAs and these are the only place where party primaries are meant to hold and it does not take more than standing on a queue for the Candidate one prefers and be counted. That's all about direct primaries. INEC has more than 8000 staff to attend these primaries. The implication of this is that smaller parties that don't have any reason being called political parties will fizzle away thereby allowing strong parties alone to exist.
Calm down, the law requires that INEC must monitor all political parties primaries. Thus means that INEC will pay adhoc staff per ward per political party per primary type (Presidential, Governor, Senators, Federal/State House of Representatives).

Secondly, political parties are associations of political like minds and courts even to supreme Court have affirm their rights and power to decides how their want their affairs to be conducted and once decided must abide by it as far as their rule is not against the Nigeria Constitution as amended. So, it is legally wrong to enact a law as to how an association should conduct their affairs and elect their leaders including their representatives. This very compulsory direct primary clause is a selfish agenda by former governors now Senators to clip the power of their governors to determine whether or not they will get the party tickets in next election.

Direct primaries is the best for political parties to adopt but political parties should only be encouraged/persuade to adopt it and not forced to adopt it. And again, the APC direct primaries figures for last Presidential primary and Anambra compared to the general election results conducted by INEC has shown that this best primary elections is open to manipulation and corrupt practice even worst that delegates system. The most less expensive and peaceful primary is consensus candidates, the candidates have more peaceful political journey than the other two.

So, in summary, in Nigeria of today, Direct primaries are not in the best interest of electorates but most beneficial for political aspirants.

The cause of your ED is less of sex and change in your mindset about sexual life, that is, suppression of sex urge for long through thinking, especially when the thinking is in line of education and business. Those brain activities dey kill sex and sexual urge to larger extent. Another fact is that staying longer period before having sex can cause you to ejaculate earlier than expected, but this will return to normal within few days of regular daily sex.

Now to the doctor advise.

He suggested that I should get some rest and stay away from too much stress,
This advise is for your general health including sexual health.

and also visit home regularly in order to be having regular intimacy with my wife, because staying away for too long from it can also have a negative effect on sexual life.
This advise is for the general wellbeing of your marriage, a healthy marriage.

Your wife and child(ren) if you have any, need your presence more on a regular basis. Two or more days in every 2 weeks, no matter what, will be okay, considering your busy schedule. You can use these days for getting yourself more rest by just sleeping, eating, playing with the child(ren), if any, and enjoying your wife. Please, plan your coming home outside your wife monthly flows.

It will be to your benefit, in the long run, if you take the doctor's advise in ALL ITS TOTALITY, instead of seeking validation as to the correctness of the advise.

Best of luck.

The human development that happened between 1940-1970, where are they now?

If you develop human without infrastructure, they will leave your country for countries with infrastructure. Look at Nigerian doctors and nurses. We develop them but they leave in droves every year to countries like Saudi, UK, US. Countries that have infrastructure.

Human development has limited life span. 10-15years tops and it has continuous for life. Infrastructure development has a longer life span 25 to sometimes 100years.

Let me give you an example.

Look at the third mainland bridge that was built in 1990. Do you know how many millions of developed human passes on top of it daily?

Take your secondary and tertiary schools for example. They’re infrastructures. Do you know how many millions of human development has taken place in that infrastructure?

We need more of those infrastructures to build more human development. Whether you develop human or you don’t, human being will always find a way to develop himself cos it human nature to survive and the only way to survive is development but human cannot develop or survive without infrastructure/tools and those tools/infrastructures won’t develop themselves.
Fantastic.

With necessary and adequate infrastructure human beings will always find their level.

I have seen children making great educational use of smartphones without being taught on how to use it. Educational Technology researches have established this to.

SW is seriously busy lobbying.
SS is indifferent.
SE is busy issuing threats and destroying Nigeria agencies and political affiliates.
Norths are keeping calm and uniting themselves while watching the Souths.

One thing is sure and has been consistent in political environments all over the world; the lobbyists always get hold of power and position in any political atmosphere. The more intensive the lobbying, the higher and brighter the coast are cleared. And when the lobbyists can be and have been proven to be TRUSTED, they GET ALMOST ALL they lobby for.

Time will surely tell the story better, we shall wait for it.

Hello nairalander, I jus got married march this year, honestly am bored already .

The truth is am an only son so the whole pressure of getting married from my family made me got married although I love my wife she is beautiful, sexy and intellectual but I just miss the bachelor life.

I feel I entered marriage too early am just 29 although am well to do, with my own business and from a well to do home also... but am always feeling marriage is slowing me down business wise and exploring.

Sometimes I just feel like I want to leave the house and do what my fellow friends that are not married are doing.

I am scared I might divorce soon....cause honestly am bored the whole marriage thing just tire me although I go out with my wife and all that...

Please what should I do..??

Is it normal for a guy that is young and just married to feel like thathuh

please advice
You are not bore because of marriage, you are bored because you never know and learn how to love.

When you know how to love and take responsibilities as a married man blessed with a woman as described by yourself in the quoted posted. You will discover there's is no dulling moment but challenges that build you up to become trusted and respected elder (old man).

Anyway, your boring moment can only be solve if you can trace and correct the You in the attached post screenshot.

PoliticsRe: Bias, Fears Weaken NASS’ Debate On E-Transmission Of Election Results – INEC by TGM2015:
This INEC position is unnecessary except INEC officials has their personal motive. Will INEC ever go ahead with election without the Security verdict? Why should they go ahead on Communications with a verdict from legally recognised ministry on communication. Between INEC and NCC, who among them is the authority on capacity of Communication infrastructure in Nigeria.

INEC position was based on NCC decision as at 2018 and the 2021 Act says your position to transmission of elections must be based on NCC recommendations, so what is the difference? Before you make your stand on 2023 electronic transmission of results, you will still wait for the Joint Committee recommendations anchor by NCC. The Act only followed your process.

The clause, I see in the act is the ratification of the decision by NASS. But should that be a problem, no, in my opinion. NASS can not give contrary decisions if both INEC and NCC give the same position. What is they both have different stands, who will decide which position is best for Nigeria? The NASS ratification will also put more legal backing for their decision.

The Act as it is, is best for Nigeria democracy. INEC should rest. If they want to transmit results electronically, no is holding them, at least they adopt electronic accreditation years before it was made into law.
