spiralwedge: The church should rid itself of hypocritical people like you who wants to control and judge how people should react.
Whereas, the Holy Spirit is not dogmatic. He dynamically uses every situation, emotion, knowledge, circumstance for God's glory, albeit unconventional.
The problem however is the pharisee, nay, you, who are self-righteous hypocrites judging from far, deluded of what God is doing in the now.
I wonder if you even know the history of the church and what apologetics is. I wonder if you knew how early church fathers stood up to defend the gospel. I wonder! I wonder if they were like you, the truth would have been passed down to us. I wonder if they had been stiffnecked like you and never yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit to intellectually defend the gospel.
I wonder if you are even a Christian. You sound more like a Pharisee. Someone says, I would have been Christian if not for Christians. Please tell the difference between what the man did, the way you are responding and response from non-Christians. Your own Christ and Bible taught you that using abusive words and shaming people is one of the values of a good Christian. Bible and Christ said we should be promoting peace, I am sure you will agree with me that the action of the man and your own choice of words is geared towards promoting peace, right? I leave you in peace. Edited Looking through your profile recent posts, on Adeboye matters and others issues, I sincerely agree that I need to apologise for engaging with you. Greathand01: Kindly advice me on this, the wedding date my spouse family, my parent and my fiancee chosed is quite not convenient for me due to work schedule, (I work far north), the date means I will be resuming to work 1 week after wedding.
I want the date changed to the following month so I can have like 3 weeks bet everyone seems not to understand me.. I am looking like the bad person to everyone.... kindly advise. Bola146: Please how old are you? What were you thinking when all of you agreed on that date? Or you want to run away Greathand01: lol..no ...I full ground, I just realized it will be so tight for me after consultations with the HR This shows that at the initial time you agreed to the date. The date that has been communicated to all family members including the elders of both families maybe the religious leaders and other important issues. You then go to your HR and discover the date can't be feasible according to your plan and you want everyone to dance to your tone. Did you know what others have forfeited in order to adjust their schedule to the agreed date? In all honesty, you are the irrational person here, but wait oooo, you will have 1 week for yourself after the wedding and you say that's not enough. Is your wife not going to be staying with you after the wedding? Even if yes, plan that 3 weeks for another time within the year and enjoy your wife. Another angle, going back on collective agreement, where you are even the principal decision makers, is an act of irresponsibility. What makes a man, is sticking to his word no matter what not changing form like water in the freezer of a village man without generator having 1 day on and 2 days off of electricity supply. |

olumide4christ: Sir...you said "village people" a number of times in your statement which I quoted unless you have gone back to edit your statement. "Village people" are not the same as "Satan"...they are different entities! That's what I am trying to explain. They cannot be used interchangeably.... because they don't mean the same thing.
Village people are people (human beings) who have allowed themselves to be used by Satan to achieve his goals. Satan uses anyone who yields himself/herself to carry out his evil deeds. In Job's case, village people were absent from the equation...Satan the devil was the one who personally accused Job before God and all that happened to Job ensued. That's my point of correction, sir. If I am able to edit my own, I can not edit my quote in your reply. So if you think that I have edited my post, check yours post, at least I can't edit my quoted post. I know what has happened to you going by psychology of reading, reason why I directed you to check again, but you still hold on to what your mind is telling you not what your eyes is seeing. You may need to learn from this many of times we see what our mind wants us to see, which most times are not what our eyes saw. I learn and conditions my body systems to see through my eyes and not through my mind. It is because we always see through our mind that made us see different angles of the same thing but when we choose to see through our eyes, we will always see the same things. That last statement, going by the starting of the paragraph is that the same way job families were not immuned against devil attacks, same way is the family of people called by God (men and women of God) are not immune against the attack from Satan agents such as the village people m |

olumide4christ: The loss of Job's family was not caused by village people but the devil himself trying to prove to God that Job would turn against God if Job began to experience suffering after a long period of bliss. Job however proved the devil wrong by maintaining faith with God despite losing all he owned in 1 single day besides his wife and later on, having sores all over his body. Please read Job chapters 1 and 2 for better understanding. Please, read the last paragraph very well and pay closer attention to the last sentence. For ease of understanding, I reproduced the said sentence here, "they will understand why job's families were lost in the battle brought on him by Satan ." Don't forget village people when you are broadcasting your success. You cannot be inviting the devil and doing his bid and expect God to intervene when he strikes. Shaming people with broken marriage cannot be the bidding of God or supported by God.
Are there no men and women of broken marriages in the Church? Were there no children from broken and abusive marriages seeking comfort by attending the church? Is his post not showing that he his posting to shame one particular person? Can that tweet shows he is forgiving? When you have the trait of sin in you, you are related to devil who is father of all sinners, and it implies you are Satan child or related to him.
Spouses and children of people called by God are not as powerful as the person called. When village people have the time of the family of people that were called by God, they will understand why job's families were lost in the battle brought on him by Satan. |

The difference between increase in price of fuel and electricity under Buhari administration is that ALL stakeholders knows why there MIST be an increase and agreed that there should be an increase.
Total deregulation of oil sector was first introduced by Obasanjo's administration, ignored by Yar'Adua, accepted by Jonathan admitted but was forced to partially implement it, Buhari accepted was reluctant, until the opposition starts requesting for it, Buhari’s was forced to implement it when realities set in. He discovered that though he has stop marketers in scamming Nigeria at over 300% of cost price but NNPC after Ibe Kachukwu is scamming Nigeria at over 100% of the cost price. Plus the reduced revenue, opposition and elite calls, etc, he has no option than to implement total deregulation few months ago.
The surprise now is seeing people who are calling for total deregulation and was happy few months ago for its implementation speaking against the results of the deregulation they called for. |

A friend of mine has been having issues with his wife for some time now. He said that the Parish Priest has advised both of them but without positive result.
But I keep wondering, is it that both parties do not want to settle their differences or is the reverend father actually giving the needed council? Is the reverend father who has not married before qualified to give advice on marital crisis? What do you think No one needs to be in marriage before giving their counsel. What the Priest needs is thorough and clear understanding of the guiding principles of marriage based on the Bible. He just need to explain that as a Christian the Bible in so so book chapter so so verse so so says husband do this, wife do this. For example, by principle of Jesus teaching, He said we should forgive and tolerate each other, so when the husband is saying she does not do this and that and the wife same thing, the Priest advise will be Jesus said, forgive him/her and tolerate his/her excesses. So, if the wife and husband has been following the Priest advised based on biblical teaching from the Bible, you will be jealous of them thinking they have made in heaven marriage. |

In that years to come, you will see reasons why you should avoid paying rent and using the money to develop your own house. In the years to come, you will be happy that at least I have a land of my own. Just buy the land, struggle for another one to two years, by that time, you can decide if you want to spend money on rent or own your own house. Anyway, staying alone as a single man is more expensive than staying with your parents. I bet you, you will not be able to save such amount of money within the same period of time if you are living alone. |

Amitez: You don't get it, do you? A man has 24 children, he called a meeting and only 10 came and a leader appointed. 14 others went to the king to report, the king say, the meeting was okay the way it went. Go and join your brothers. The 14 refused and rather follow thier uncle for 3 years. Now the community law is that if any of them fails to come back within 180 days, they lose their status. After 180 days, their status changed from sons to ordinary family members. So the senior son went to the councli of chiefs to ask them to seect their replacement. They then the 14 ran to the court to stop the selection. They are in court and their staus can only be changed by the court. Who do you blame? The 14 that became prodigan sons. They lost their birthright/sonship already as the council have moved on. Their only hope is the court. If they win, their senior will appeal uoto supreme court. Has the council of chief select their replacement? As far as the discussion of their sonship is yet to be over, the status quo is maintained. In Nigeria, it is only court that can declare the seat of an elected person vacant except by reason of death or incapacitated. Until Supreme Court rules that they have no Justification for not attending for 180 days and declared their seat vacant, they are still members of Edo state of assembly. I am very sure you know about Tribunal (a court of law) ruling on Bayelsa governorship election, until the Supreme Court rules or no one challenge/appeal the ruling within the stipulated days, that election is still valid. One again be objective and do not make your political affiliations make you support illegalities. |

leofab: only 7 lawmakers are Recognised by the law (inaugurated).. so 3 members are equivalent to 1/3 of the house you seek. Do not let politics make you blind to obvious truth. The constitution recognised 24 House Members, the constitution did not allow for any part of the state not to be represented, the constitution based his quorum on 24 members. The Edo state government has denied majority of Edo people their fair representation by his sham inauguration proclamation which was announced in evening of the inauguration that was done in the night of the same day. So, what you are saying is that if a man gave birth to 24 children and on an important occasion, they called the man out with his children. If 14 were unfortunately absent for that occasion, they will cease to be recognised as his son, right? As far as INEC has not declared their seat vacant they are still recognised by the constitution has elected house assembly members of Edo state. |

Politics › Re: Where Does History Leave The Cowards? Case Of Akinwunmi Ambode! by TGM2015: 6:59am On Aug 18, 2020 |
Fighting a lost course or battle you knew you can not win is not bravery, it is call stupidity and foolishness. Knowing when to attack and when to stay put in a battle field is call professionalism and experience. In the battle field, if you are in safe place and you sighted your enemies with stronger men and weapons that are more sophisticated than yours, will you say that because you are a brave and courageous soldier, you will move out of your safety and fight your enemies without calling for a "more stronger" and sophisticated backup? Jonathan and Ambode are wise, history will always be kind to them. Check out Obasanjo and Atiku and tell me what history have about them. On giving Ambode tickets, it shows that Lagos APC are wise, you don't give political position to people that cannot be trusted because they can use the political power against you, just like Saraki, Obaseki, etc. So, it will be unwise and political suicide to allow non-loyal and untrusted party members to hold political powers. Validated: Earlier yesterday, I learnt that former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode have been finally denied the Lagos East Senatorial seat ticket of APC, the party he so cowardly stuck to to avaod being "dealt with". Unfortunately, that is the fate of a coward. No woman should respect a coward, if you are married to one, please threaten him to change because he cannot protect you.
Seeing how Obaseki is handling the godfather issue in Edo and fighting like a man, I can only conclude that Ambode chickening out was a very wrong move. Bullies succeed because their victims chicken out easily. Most bullies are cowards, that is what we are seeing in Edo today. Win or lose ... remain a fighter. History will always be on the side of the brave. Look what becomes of a former executive Governor of Lagos because he was too scared to fight back. If some of us had the powers of an executive governor and Lagos State for that matter, who was in charge of average of N60Billion monthly IGR, even the FG will not be able to defeat me. I would have bought out 20 of the 24 or so LASG HOA, buy out the judiciary, and rendered my opponents incapacitated. Yes, with good money, you can buy ANYONE in Nigeria's political space. Everyone has his price and the executive governor had the money, power and all that was missing was COURAGE. Unfortunately, cowards like Ambode even if given the power of a president would still chicken out. Sad!
To fully understand who cowards really are, lets us check what the great ones said about cowards and the concept of cowardice as well legacies of cowards:
Few Things for our Youth to Learn
1. Face your challenges, do not run from them. If you do, your bullies will be empowered but if you face them, you would be surprise as they fade away. Hear this: “If you run from enemy fire, it will make you wash dishes for the rest of your life!” ― Naoki Urasawa, 20th Century Boys, 19
“That was the thing to remember about all monsters, They love to frighten people, but the minute you stare them down, they turn tail and run.” ― Jeanette Walls “A man that flies from his fear may find that he has only taken a short cut to meet it.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Children of Húrin
2. Cowards cannot claim to love, they are selfish and cannot fight for their beliefs which oftentimes are the right things to do. As said by these men and women of honour: “A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave.” ― Mahatma Gandhi
"Cowardice is a trait wherein excessive fear prevents an individual from taking a risk or facing danger. It is the opposite of courage. As a label, "cowardice" indicates a failure of character in the face of a challenge. One who succumbs to cowardice is known as a coward. ... and that the bulwark of his historical evidence" – S.L.A. Marshall's
“Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt.” ― William Shakespeare, Measure for Measure
3. Cowards seek easy way out and comprise by making peace with treacherous opponent even when in position to face such threats “Tolerance of intolerance is cowardice.” ― Ayaan Hirsi Ali
4. Cowards look the other way, thinking afterall, the treath is not targetted at me or mine. Soon, they realise they were wrong: “In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up for me.” ― Martin Niemöller
5. Cowards always end up finding themselves hounded by their worst fear - capture and disgrace
“There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general: (1) Recklessness, which leads to destruction; (2) cowardice, which leads to capture; (3) a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults; (4) a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame; (5) over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble.” ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
“Fear of ridicule begets the worst cowardice.” ― André Gide
“Cowardice rightly understood begins with selfishness and ends with shame.” ― José Rizal, Noli Me Tángere [Touch Me Not]
6. Cowards look for excuse and oftentimes place the blame on others or something instead of accepting responsibilities: “I do not wish to be a coward like the father of mankind and throw the blame upon a woman.” ― Ouida, Wanda, Countess von Szalras.
7. Cowards die in regrets and you can guess even Heaven will have no respect for such “But often life asks much of you, and you either honor life by answering with all your heart, or you cower your way into your grave.” ― James Clemens, Hinterland
8. God does not respect the coward, rather God encourages the brave and courageus. So, God is always with the brave, not the cowards "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. - Deut 31:6
“One must pray first, but afterward one must help oneself. God does not care for cowards. - --"Wanda” ― Ouida
9. Leadership should be the exclusive preserve of the brave. The cowards are amongst the masses “That gutless pack of hyenas called the masses.” ― Marty Rubin
10. All progress the world has made is a function of bravery. Bravery informed a man flying an object that could end his life and change human traveling, bravery made men to push beyond the ordinary, etc “All progress begins with the brave, not the spineless coward.” ― Abhijit Naskar, Revolution Indomable
Are Nigerians brave or cowards? Hear the answer from a Nigerian “Brave men outshine cowards, but cowards sometimes outlive them. Many cowards have had the honour to read the funeral orations of many brave men.” ― Nkwachukwu Ogbuagu
"We no wan die, we no wan quench, so police can wipe your ass and you will stand like zombie - Fela Anikulapo Kuti"
We care more about living even if we are merely existing. That is the Nigerian masses - COWARDS! |

This means more than 17 million Nigerians have become unemployed since December 2014, while the total working age population has grown by almost the same number in those six years.
For the first time in the history of the revised NBS unemployment reports, the number of people in the labour force willing to work dropped. |
