PoliticsRe: Why $30m Didn't Protect Nigerian Pupils After Chibok by TGM2015: 11:22am On Apr 14, 2021
IdowuRufai:
You can’t be more Catholic than the Pope, when the Former Prime Minister was asked he didn’t give an answer, no revelation on who misappropriated funds. The article wasn’t suggestive on who misappropriated funds but you know better and formed an opinion.

Focus on what was revealed, if you’re an insider I will listen to you but obviously you’re twisting the narrative again.

One of the things that will help us in this country is to stop defending incompetence, from your aforementioned your clearly stated the inadequacies of the current president and you’re also suggestive why the scheme failed. It stairs you in the face. Note that this is not to hold brief for Jonathan as well.
It is a good thing you are not disputing that the project was stop because of accountability. Your issue is now whose government was responsible for accountability, that is, the government that receives the aids.

You believe by international ethics and diplomacy the Prime Minister will open his mouth to mention names when he is not mandated by court of law? As for your last sentence in the first paragraph and your second paragraph, it shows that you lack logical reasoning and have a great comprehension problem. The subject and exams you took in each class of your primary and secondary schools. There is a reason why comprehensive is a common and compulsory question in all examination that is testing for understanding of English language.

Let start from your last paragraph. Where in all my post on this subject matter did I defend anyone. The first post states fact, the second answer your question and gives you a scenario of expected normal for new leadership. At bold, my posts highlighted the current government inadequate and clear that it wasn't te inadequacy that stop the aids. The aids failed because there was no accountability.

My post stated that in non-accountability as it relates to this subject matter was under Jonathan administration. You then came up with your first and second paragraph suggesting that I made it up by attributing to Jonathan.

Now, take your time and read it news again. Your answered is in the first section. Did you believe if the aids ($30m) has not been paid, there would have been laying of foundations for the projects? Did your think UK will come to Nigeria to kick start a project that initial starting fund has not been released? From the news, it was stated that "the UK's former Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, spearheaded the $30m (about £22m) Safe Schools Initiative (SSI) - along with UN agencies". Are you telling me UK Prime Minister is spearheading fund that has not been released?

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nigeria's finance minister at the time and now head of the World Trade Organization, was received by a waiting crowd of community leaders and parents whose daughters had been kidnapped. She was in Chibok to lay the first bricks in a project to rehabilitate the Government Secondary School that had been destroyed by Boko Haram militants on that infamous night of 14 April 2014.

There was a short speech, then trowel in hand she scooped mortar from a pan held mid-air by two assistants and joined two bricks at a 90-degree angle. With the job done there were a couple of handshakes and pictures, then she was gone in another haze of dust.

Mrs Okonjo-Iweala's presence there was part of an international response following the mass abduction of 276 girls by Islamist militants in Chibok in 2014. World opinion was galvanised under the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls - and the UK's former Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, spearheaded the $30m (about £22m) Safe Schools Initiative (SSI) - along with UN agencies, the Nigerian government and private business leaders. Five-hundred schools would be protected: there would be new classrooms; there would be fences; there would be armed guards.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Not More Than 28 Years by TGM2015:
The first reason is to reduce number of applications as the labour market is saturated. Imagine getting millions of applications for an opening of less than 50. Some companies have gone further by stating year of graduation. You will see something like should have graduate not later than 2015.

Second reason is that, it is easier to blend young graduates to the culture and requirements of the job than older graduates. Like professionally brainwashing them to act/work in a particular way. It is very difficult to do that with someone with over 5 years life/work experience after graduation.

Third reasons is that, it is believed that the younger an entry level employee is, the more years he or she has to serve the company.

The good news now is that over the years the business world has now discovered that those philosophies of recruitment are not given the desire outcomes. In few years to come, companies, especially those international companies, will not be restricting recruitment by age. They have discovered that the older graduates are more loyal and experienced, and that they tend to give longer years of serving than the young graduates that statistics has shown to have an average of 2 years of service per company.

IdowuRufai:
This is the reason why this country is going down daily. You read an article and coined it to suit your narrative. Did you read were the Buhari Government was frustrating the effort by infrequent steering committees. Did you also read part of the article that said that the initial structures which were temporal was the only success recorded, obviously that’s under Jonathan and partly Buhari’s first term. Buhari doesn’t value education and he has consistently shown it. What happened to the Almajiri schools built under Jonathan. Unfortunately, the heat is in the north now, they are not skillful, largely not productive. The result is Banditory, kidnappings, and Boko Haram you’re seeing and it’s just getting started unless there’s a drastic change to educate the teeming young people over there.

Let’s always be objective in our reportage.
You are concerned about what causes delays but I highlighted what causes a stop. You see you are the one that is not objective here. The delay tactics is not unexpected considering the antecedents of previous government. On a normal situation, when one takes over leadership of an institution in which he or she has not been a stakeholder, it is expected that things of such we drag a little bit, but not necessarily dragging for longer periods. I am not sure the report is specific about it, but it implies the delay was less than a year. Buhari dragged appointment of Minister for longer than necessary of which we later learnt was because of internal politics of APC and NASS leadership saga. The slow implementation of policy and response to national issues coupled is lack of good communication/public orientation of government activities and actions are one of the bad sides of Buhari administration.

Buhari caused the delay but assuming he man up such that the steering committee were effective and meet regularly, will UK still give further aids and support if the Nigerian government was unable to accounts for the initial $30m aids?

Now read the extract below and tell me the final blow that put a stop to further aids.

In its report, the British foreign office blamed the Buhari government for delays in implementing the SSI, with decisions being postponed because of infrequent steering committee meetings. Concerns were also raised about Nigeria's handling of the fund and a UK policy that no aid money should go directly to the government of Nigeria was strictly enforced.

The Nigerian presidency did not respond to questions about these concerns and the finance ministry that managed the SSI fund, did not provide details of contributions received and how they were spent.

PoliticsRe: Why $30m Didn't Protect Nigerian Pupils After Chibok by TGM2015:
Check well, and get the summary.

The real reason was that the initial $30m channelled through Nigeria military under Jonathan can not be accounted for. Unfortunately, the question to how the money was being spent came up under Buhari who has no record of how the money was spent.

The UK policy of no aid money should go to Nigeria government directly was made during Jonathan government. As it is now, it is only when Nigeria government is able to account for the initial aid of $30m given under Jonathan that Nigeria can get further aid and expertise services from UK to protect the schools.

With the law of demand and supply of labour, the already devalue first degree certificates in labour market will move to lost value. In pre 80s, with Ordinary Level certificate (WAEC) you are sure of good sustainability job. Today, you cannot even use it to look for job.

Krismas:
cool U are very wrong sir. Priests were only instructed not to drink BEFORE MINISTRATION because of Aaron's sons who under the influence of alcohol offered strange fire, and suffered fatalities as result. Priests drink freely when they are not conducting service. No rule said Levites should not drink. Infact DRUNKENNESS has no PUNISHMENT OR CONSEQUENCES under the law. Nazarenes under vow, also do not cut or shave or comb their hair, till the vow elapses or is cutting the hair a sin as well? in Numbers 28:7 the Bible tells us 1/4 Hin of OGOGORO was offered to God both morning and evening in the Jerusalem temple. Thats about 1.5 Litres of Ogogoro. So, in a day God is to be given 3.0 Litres of Ogogoro, poured on His Alter, a sacrifice pleasing to God. I dont know where u people got the lie that drinking alcohol is sin?
Seen.

But when you get back your senses from your alcohol, go back, read the post you quoted again, and pinpoint where it is stated or insinuated that drinking alcohol is a sin.
Christianity EtcRe: Is God Really Against Taking Alcohol Or Just Against Excess Of It? by TGM2015: 1:38pm On Mar 28, 2021
Ctorch:
Is God really against taking Alcohol or Just against excess of It.

Galatians 5:19–21: "The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: ... drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God ." Ephesians 5:18: "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to Immoral behavior.

The bible was particular about it drunkeness and not against alcohol.

Further

1. The Bible allows Christians to drink alcohol for medical reasons.
Paul told Timothy, "Stop drinking only water and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illness." (1 Timothy 5:23 )

The Bible forbids drinking if it hinders the gospel.
Paul explained in 1 Corinthians 9 that even though he was allowed to eat and drink anything he wanted, he was very careful not to do things that would hinder the gospel of Christ. He said, "Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many a possible.

Proverbs 31:4-5

4 It is not for kings, Lemuel— it is not for kings to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer, 5 lest they drink and forget what has been decreed, and deprive all the oppressed of their rights.

What do you think God was reallly emphasizing on?
God is not against anyone taking alcohol but He is against taking of alcohol by individual, group of people, tribe, ethnics, state and country that He has chosen or they willingly choose to dedicated their lives to Him and His services.

In all tribe of Israel Levites were not allowed or were commanded by God never to take strong (alcoholic) drink. Even before the conception of Samson his mother was forbidden to take alcohol until she delivered because the child will be dedicated to God.

The real question is should a Christian or someone who claimed to be a Christian takes alcohol?

Christians were described as royal priesthood, those who has been called out of darkness unto His marvellous light. They are people who have choice to give (dedicate) their life to God through Jesus their Lord and Saviour.

From the definition, it is glaring that a Christian is directly forbidden by God to take alcohol.

PoliticsRe: Imo, The Supreme Court Jurists And The Ills Of Democracy By Eberechukwu Lebechi by TGM2015:
Finished Reading.

The first thing is to acknowledge that the Supreme Court judgement was based on valid evidence. The case brought to the court is of unlawful voiding of votes. The INEC cancel some votes illegally, the votes were cancelled based on assumptions that it was corruptly obtained after the PO have declared result, election sheets were signed and pasted with copies given to all relevant stakeholders.

According to our current electoral law, no law can void a validly declared votes. This is reason why some smart crook politicians make sure that results were never declared in polling units where they are not winning. The courts, including the Supreme Court never imposed a candidate on Imo State residents, they only agreed to the subsisting law, accept all illegal cancelled votes, take the summation of the new figures, and declared the person/party with highest votes winner.

The most recent elections where Supreme Court imposed candidates on voters are Bayelsa and Zamfara states where Supreme Court nullified majority votes casted and called them wasted votes because of error of either the candidates or the party.

In Zamfara over 80% of the total votes casted were total ignored, in all fairness, the court should have ordered a new election. Our media are not seeing that as injustice and impositions because it does not suit what they want to sell.

First the SW was the first to establish Amotekun and that was when Kanu thought about ESN when your governors failed to act.

Secondly, The SW governors were one of the first to collectively ban open grazing and called Miyetti Allah people to order that it’s no more business as usual. The SE governors only pronounced their own ban after the SW did theirs.

Thirdly, the Fulanis are feeling the heat from people all around from the West-SS-SE-MB.

The effort of SW/SE governors, Igboho (burning their houses), Media hammering on it, ESN, SS (Edo), Ortom (MB), and the animosity the Fulanis are facing around the South is a message to the government that things will soon escalate and Fulanis will soon become endangered species in the South when things finally completely go out of hand.

However I don’t care about their meeting of action if it’s not followed by action. All the herdsmen in the South should start relocating to the grazing reserve that Ganduje said he’s building and the other Northern governors should do the same.
You forgot the visit of Yoruba Traditional Leader the Ooni of Ifè to Buhari. Until his visit, the political interest to put a final peaceful stop to Farmers-Herders crisis has never been this largely accepted.

She explained that men who are older than their wives experienced more abuse than men who are younger than their wives.

According to her, married men whose wives were not in their first marriage were two times more likely to experienced spousal abuse while men in polygamous marriage are less likely to be victims of spousal abuse.

The criminologist who successfully defended her thesis at the department of Sociology, stated that despite being abused, “men would not report because they feared reactions from friends and family, did not want third-party interference and because they were still financially dependent on their wives”.
Non-financially independent men stay put with abusive wives. You see, when they say hussle and make money, ẹ get why?

Anyway, the researcher or the reporter did not tell us the cause. As Africa person, wey I be, at the mentioned of Lagos, the cause of men staying in abusive marriage and continuing to be dependent on their wife no go pass juju. Lovexme:
I'm not sure. I only know my password has to be entered before the phone can be used.
Forget about password, if the password is on the SIM, inserting a new SIM will do the magic. If it was on the phone, it needs only formatting/flashing.

Now to get your phone back is easy once there is an active SIM card inserted in the phone. Network providers can help with the number using a particular phone number once the IMEI is provided.

So, Police or DSS after establishing that a phone was actually lost, they requested for the phone IMEI, get court order and present it to all telecommunications companies to get the number using the IMEI. Once one of the network providers get back to them, they will track the number, get the location and arrest the user.

The user can only be free, if only he can provide the identity of the seller/giver or must agreed that s/he sold/giver him the phone. If not, the user must present evidence of purchase like receipt issued by the seller or electronic transfer stating clearly in the description that it was a purchase for the phone.

So, if one is buying a used phone, bank transfer is safer but must be sure the account belongs to the person selling it for you and you clear state "purchase of second hand *phone* *phone model* (eg Nokia 5.2)" plus any useful info.

U can't curse the enemy of the country and try and defend underage voting!
You are all over the place
I am engaging further because of your profile name and that you are posting for a right course but first learn to choose you choices of word rightly and respectfully. Second, never make assumptions on intentions of others, you may be wrong most time.

All you need is understanding, please calm down, read slowly, and get knowledge being passed. My post never support nor give excuses for child/underage voting. But until you are absolutely sure that a particular person is underage never assumed that all those that looks like underage are actually underage. "aimorin ni kò jẹ ká rí abuke okere", the farther you go the more you see things that you believed can never be possible or are not existing.

Nobody is disputing the fact that there are underage voting in the north and the act is bad for any country electoral system but all claims must be with fact, especially when all concerned (both ruling and opposition parties including the electoral officer) have accepted an individual to be eligible to vote. You and me are not privileged to access the information or evidence (oral or written) that led to the acceptance those individual, it is morally and legally wrong to pass judgment. Agbo ejò etí kan dá, àgbà óṣìkà.

I don't comment base of emotions or sentiments, my post is based on experience, which you never disputed. That a man is a thief does not mean he is the one that stole the current missing item, the item may possibly have been misplaced, lost, or kept by someone in a safer place or stolen by another person entirely. Our previous knowledge is for guidance and not evidence for the current, things have not always been as they were seen, reasons why wise men don't make decisions or pass judgement in hurry. What I know is that most of those individuals that looks like underage are actually in their 20s.

Are you too dumbb to see that underage voting destroys a country?
Would God come down and fix that?
People like you curse yourselves daily
When you fully understand the post you replied to, then you can revisit your post and check the correlation. To help your "dumbness" (using your own word), if someone said "most of these prophecies from the so called men of God do come true because I have seen some of them happened." First, it established a fact; second, it doesn't dispute the existence of fake prophecies but discourage generalisation.

For the purpose of my signature. Electoral fraud is existing in both South and North of Nigeria. While the North filled their voters register with underage (according to our own definition), the South filled over 70% of their voters registered with non-existing (ghost) voters.

Now, if a man said a child is his child, the wife say the same thing, the child and the entire family members agreed the child belong to them, please, what is the business of a family friend to insist that the child has no right to the inheritance of the man? That's is what my last statement is implying, fairness in elections means that all stakeholders accepted the process and the people who voted. Again, do you have their birth certificate to confirm that they are underaged?

One thing stand, I have seen many of such categories of people in Lagos and have confirmation from trusted friends few years ago that most, I wrote most not all, those people that looks like underage were not underage, many of them are married with children.

If I would execute a mass project, I won't use my personal bank account.
Why not? In fact that is the best way for financial transactions. Genuine business men and institutions deals with bank accounts not eWallets or eAccounts that are not regulated by a country central bank.

The worst case scenario is to open another account possibly with another bank for the purpose of receiving such type of fund. You have no point on transparency, will the app give access to donors to view your account transactions? You will still need to extract the statements by yourself, in fact, bank account is better, because, the bank can Certified the statement for authenticity.
