PoliticsRe: #EndSARS Activists: Government Yet To Unfreeze Our Bank Accounts Since Oct 2020 by TGM2015: 8:39pm On Jan 17, 2021
Donations were received in various currencies, including naira and dollars using Flutterwave to provide food, medical care and legal aid to protesters.

However, the donation link was disabled. The donation was subsequently moved to Bitcoin.
The only reason why the accounts have not been unfreeze is that the owners of the affected accounts were yet to establish that the inflow (money sent to the accounts) and outflow (money received to the accounts) were not from/to illegal sources that might include money launders, terrorists, etc.

Hold on why using a third party apps when you can receive money directly into your bank accounts and sent same directly from your account to who so ever needed it.

Let them all go to court and clear themselves or sue the ass of FG and CBN for the act. I know this is impossible for them because they knew the truth that the government is right (legally) on this but still need to appeal to the sentiments of their supporters.

Agboriotejoye:
Let me make something clear to you. UI has not come out to tell us the circumstances of his admission. What they have done is to say he was duly admitted and duly graduated with a second class lower division in Classics.
All these talk of HSC or no HSC is actually immaterial to this case as long as he did not tender HSC as part of his qualifications with INEC.
The fact that UI has validated his status makes all these talk about his degree hogwash. If you want to question the school, it's left to you but it is the end of the matter in court.
Lastly, to your question, of course the result is fraudulent if the grades do not tally with waec official website. Though it must also be said that if the result actually emanated from waec, the candidate has the right to call their attention and seek correction on their part.
I don't see the similarity with this case however. UI and Obaseki to the best of my knowledge have not issued any conflicting statement on his result.
If there is, let me know.
Okay.

Agboriotejoye:
How do you pass out from tertiary institution and not be a graduate? Am I missing something here?
Your quoted post is irrelevant in this matter because the Dino he mentioned graduated with a third class which he gallantly defended and ABU's VC visited the senate panel to confirm same. Also, it's clear from the story that the university were the ones who exposed the subject of that story so I fail to see what lessons to learn here.
What I asked you is if your observation that UI didn't mention his grade invalidates their confirmation of his status as an alumnus.
As a graduate which you seem to imply that you are, you should know that the university would have done a background check before coming out to defend Obaseki. Except you're putting UI on a lower pedestal than they deserve.
Okay, l let us calm down.

Dino issue is actually different from Obaseki. Dino case was that he failed some core courses in his final year according to copy of transcript/result that was posted. The argument then was that by standing requirement, no student should graduate without passing all the CORE courses. So the accusations then was, it has been established that Dino did not passed 1 or 2 core courses, therefore, he should have done extra year, that is, resit those failed courses. So, the petitioner assumed that based on the university requirements for graduates, Dino can not be a graduate of the university in the year he claimed to have graduated. From information gathered, based on circumstances (students struggle against the school authorities), the school was desperate to let him out of the school, therefore, they can't afford another 1 more years of him as a student. The requirements was waived and his graduation approved by the Senate.

Obaseki case is bothered on the certificate (HSC) he used for admission, declaring he graduated in two different years, and that his certificate layout is different from the certificate layout of the same set he claimed he graduated with, reason why, I assumed, they have to get original certificate of someone who graduated in the same year with Obaseki.

My first comment was casting doubt on the authenticity of the certificate based on the university confirmation, leaving out his grade (second class lower) and the manner in which Obaseki's lawyers are going about stopping the case instead of defending it. Now you asked a simple question, which I think should be a general knowledge. Your question is

Agbegbaorogboye:
What does his grade have to do with the authenticity of the certificate
Let ask a question, if I submit my certificate claiming that I have 5As and 4Cs in my WAEC, and you happen to be the officer in charge of result verification. You log on to WAEC Result Checker site and the site returns that I have 5Bs and 4Cs.

Even though, what is required for me is 5Cs, can you say the result of 5As 4Cs is authentic? If yes, what are we going to call the result of 5Bs and 4Cs you verified from WAEC official result checker website?

Agboriotejoye:
I am a graduate. I ask you again. What does his grade have to do with whether UI is lying about the authenticity of Obaseki's certificate?

Does grade determine if one lawfully graduated or not?
I repeat it again, only a graduate can answer this your question. When you become one, you will be able to answer your questions by yourself. Forget whether you pass out from tertiary institutions, you need to be a graduate to understand that any alteration in your certificate will invalidate that certificate even if it was the date the certificate was issued.

Anyway, let me help you with this quoted post below.

olalat:
I know someone whose information is on the institution data from be admission to graduation stages. but his statement of result was forged. He scaled through all necessary clearance and went for service. He secured job with one of the leading bank in the country. The school detected him when the bank requested for confirmation of his certificate. It was detected that he altered his grades. Till now his certificate has bn confiscated by the school. He loss the job as well. With this experience, its possible Obaseki actually graduated from UI but made some alterations in his final result with automatically invalidate all his academic efforts. UI on their own will not want to ascribe such reputation to herself same way ABU jealously cover DINO to protect their image. God knows best.

Well, the forgery has to be proven.
As for his bsc, it's confirmed authentic by the issuing authority so the question of forgery no longer arises
UI only confirmed that he graduated, the year of graduation, and course of study but nothing on the grade. They never or intentionally omitted the grade he graduated with.

Did Obaseki graduated with second class lower division? With the way his lawyers are going about defending his case, something is actually fishing.

Is it supposed to be so, because he said they have less than 20 staff all together?
If I can comprehend this your post. It means not all staff received the survival fund. The director is trying to be fair to all, nothing is wrong in that but my concern is what happens to the balance of ₦15,000.

Is that he pocketed the balance? If yes, is s/he still paying their full/agreed salary? If yes, in my sincere opinion, nothing is wrong in that.

1. Hold on, did your boss pay you your full salary, I mean COMPLETE salary during and after the lockdown? If yes, morally you are obliged to returned it to him or her.

2. Were you paid FULL salary for the months you received the survival fund? If yes, return the money because it expected that you should not be paid by your boss for the 3 months that the government will pay you.

Survival Fund is to cushion the effect of COVID-19 on business by providing grant in terms of paying the business wage bill. This is to enable the company/business to save more fund by paying her wage bills for 3 months. Technically, if your business monthly wage bill is ₦150,000 ; it means government has supported the business with ₦450,000 and they expect the business to invest it so as sọ cushion the effect of the COVID19 on the business.

“Effective December 30, 2020, attending to applicants would be based on Booking System. For bookings, applicants are to visit any of the NIMC Offices closest to them during stipulated business hours (9 am – 1 pm).
I read it yesterday but see nothing to celebrate. NIMC complained of crowd for registration but now introduced crowd for pre-registration (booking). The new system will enhance the corruption in the process.

Why can't the booking be online? Why can't they have option of filling the form online and registrant coming for finger print and photo capture? We can see reason for mandating registrants to visit their office for bio data capture but it does not make sense visiting the office to book and then visit the office the second time for registration. Some may even visit the third time to get their printed NIN Slip.

This is a conspiracy Theory. Personally, I did link my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Nairaland, etc. to my phone number, they are all linked to email addresses. Except for WhatsApp, one can do without linking his/her social media accounts to a number. And WhatsApp is a close messaging app, except one of the party involved or group members bring the message to the public no one knows what you are sharing. As for fake news tracing in WhatsApp, that has been in place even before NIN.

Anyway, if there is no fraudulent SIM registration, the owner of the SIM can easily be traced through the data he or she submitted during registration. So, tracing one through phone numbers can be done without NIN.

I think you need to check the summation, the 5.xtrillion should be a mistake.

“The House has approved N4.125 trillion on capital expenditure, N5.641 trillion on recurrent expenditure as well as N3.324 trillion is for Debt Service, N5.641 trillion on debt services.

“The House has also recognized that it’s important to have statutory transfers and that is N496.528 billion has been approved for that.
4.125 + 5.641 + 3.324 + 0.497 = 13.587.

The "5.641 trillion on debt services" must be an editorial mistake. That number is the same with figure for recurrent expenditure.

On the plus side there is enough of a profit for NNPC to actually fix refineries and for refining petrol to become profitable in nigeria

Plis government saves money and reduces its dependence on loans
Public own refineries? I bet it with you, if all Nigeria resources are put into it, it will never work. This present has tried, they saw the handwriting, reason for withdrawal and focusing on private business to run it, same with government generated electricity, it would work unless it is in the hands of TRUSTED private investors. It seems that was the reason why the FG government brought in Siemens private company on a government to government agreement, meaning involving the government of Siemens origin.
PoliticsRe: FG Signs Fuel Transportation, Storage Deal With Niger Republic by TGM2015: 9:03am On Nov 20, 2020
PhiliptheArab:
Well, there are at least 4 refineries ongoing in the South ( dangote inclusive) one in imo, one in rivers and one in edo...and then there is Dangote

There could be more if NNPC allows marketers the right to control the price of the crude they sell ie total deregulation which would make refining petrol profitable in Nigeria.
This your suggestion will make price of petrol go higher than expected, knowing fully well that oil and gas business is just like a monopolistic market. We have less than 10 oil marketers in this country, they can easily form a cartel or cabal and decide to exploit Nigeria just like rice farmers. With all incentives, grants and supports that both FG and state government have given to this rice farmers, the best local rice shouldn't cost more than N15,000. But today, we know the price, in fact, some retailers now bag foreign rice into local bags of rice to sell above the cost of foreign rice.
PoliticsRe: FG Signs Fuel Transportation, Storage Deal With Niger Republic by TGM2015: 8:52am On Nov 20, 2020
You see if Dangote is from SE or SS, they will say Buhari is out to kill the business of their brothers in order to help his fulani brother in Niger. In fact, they will tell us that the owners of that refinery are Fulani men. Just like reducing import duties on tax was to kill their brother's Innoson business and pave way for.... Anyway, we can not have refineries in Nigeria working because of cabals that were built and nurtured by PDP.

These cabals preferred getting billions of naira monthly for salary of non-existing employees and turn around maintenance than making it work for the benefit of the Nigeria population. Hence, the decision of the government to sell it and help private to build a working refineries in Nigeria. Tentatively, now that we have full deregulation, it is better to negotiate with business that we can get our fuel at cheaper rate.

I don't know the content of the MoU, but the quote below extracted from the post, shows it will be more beneficial to Nigeria, until we can sufficiently produce want we need, if there is no sabotage.

He said: “This is a major step forward. The Niger Republic has some excess products which need to be evacuated. Nigeria has the market for these products. Therefore, this is going to be a win-win relationship for both countries. My hope is that this is going to be the beginning of deepening trade relations between Niger Republic and Nigeria.”

PoliticsRe: Why DSS Ordered #EndSARS Promoters’ Bank Accounts Frozen - THEWILL by TGM2015:
Fake and conjectured news.

THEWILL gathered authoritatively that it was the DSS which ordered the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to freeze the bank accounts of 19 persons and a firm found to be backing the protests.
So DSS instruct CBN to freeze account and CBN went to Court on behalf of DSS. If DSS, even EFCC, ICPC, etc. have any issues with bank account and need to be frozen, they simply go to court, obtain court order and served the bank. They do not need CBN to do this.

If CBN must freeze any account, it must have been gotten from commercial banks a Suspicious Transactions Reports on any account. This is in line with Anti Money Laundry and Anti Terrorists Financing Acts, and practice all over the world. They will review the report, if the report has merit, they will transfer it to investigation unit and freeze it by obtaining court order pending the out of the investigation.

If the investigation report comes out clean, the account will be unfrozen, if not, they go to court for forfeiture and may prosecute the account holder.

In all these, the owner may cut short the duration by going to court to present evidence contrary to the suspicious to prove that the money were legally earned and legally meant to be use. So, instead of littering the social media with unnecessary posts, at least one of them is a lawyer that has been helping #EndSARS protesters
