Izuogu1: Is computer engineering(repairing hardware) a good skill to take to Canada /USA? Can I get good job with such skill? Pls don't blast, I want to learn several skills because I plan to migrate someday. Yes it is a very good skill. As for getting a job that depends on many factors Please bear in mind that in the computer field, certificates are very important in addition to the degree. Certification will be an indication that you are up to date with the technology that keeps evolving |

The only way hackers can still work it out is if crucial details where blured or mosaicked. Sorry that you didn't get the joke |

COPR1511: Hi @TheCongo2,
Please I am going to Manitoba (Winnipeg), my first license was issued in 2015 after two years of waiting, please advise if I will be able to get driver licence class 5F. Sorry bro, I live in Ontario. Therefore I have no idea of what the class 5F driver license is. However, in Ontario we have 3 class of License, G1, G2 and G. And to move from one class to the next one, the license holder have to wait for at least 1 year to take the exam. Now, with the FRSC Letter, the license holder can go from G1 straight to the G test without any waiting period only if your driver license was issue 3 years from the date you go to the DriveTest Center. In other words, the FRSC letter will say something like "x drivers's license was first issue on y date" So, from y date to the day you go to the DriveTest Center to get your G1 license, there haven't been a lapse of 3 years. Else, the FRSC letter becomes irrelevant. Sorry that I am not able to answer your question with respect to Manitoba ************Update: I see that you have go answers already with respect to Manitoba. |

Beautyaddy: How? If it wasn't acquired through fraud then how?
The courts might have to intervene then. In Canada for instance citizenship can be withdrawn if it was acquired by fraud or if the person has been convicted of terrorism. Other than that Citizenship can never be withdrawn unless the person chose to give it up. Ok, I understand this is a UK thread, maybe things are different over there |

Indigbo: Opps reverse is the case. I can understand but sometimes when we are frustrated about life we start digging for unnecessary issues where there is none. How stupidity combined with pride, ego and arrogance can destroy. Be the reason someone smiles. Be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody. Find joy in the ordinary. Choose kindness. I don't you why you wrote this on this thread but this piece is very deep. Thanks and I will personally take it as words of wisdom |

You claimed you have the funds but just dont want to sponsor yourself. Now you are singing another tune. Investment and assets my foot. Fvck off my lane with that BS jor. You get investments but dont have friends and associates to sponsor you and give you common bank statement? Monkey feeling funky In addition to that georgeify claims to have millions in his account but seems desperate to make few bucks on here . |

yemiosinbajo: I'm making an assumption -- a near assertion -- a suspicion as confirmed by many similar cases here on Nairaland, that people claim to have friends who did this and that, when in most cases, these are people they barely know-- stories they barely have verifiable details of -- just merely what they heard from A or B. For example, I know a girl who graduated from a college here in the US, then, moved briefly to Nigeria, and then, to Ireland where she currently resides. However, I wouldn't claim that she is my friend, or that I have verifiable details of the circumstances that necessitated such moves. Many, on here, in my situation, would say, I have a friend who moved from the US to Ireland for so and so reasons . This is often misleading. It may be a matter of a poor choice of words but nevertheless the facts remain the same. |

yemiosinbajo: You have friends or you just heard some unverifiable information about some people that did this and that. We need to stop making up stuffs on forums. Com'on bro. How do you know he is making things up. I am afraid you are the one making assumption. |

Pesb: I took time to read through everything the OP posted here.
Honestly, I like this man. I don't know him. But he is worthy of emulation.
1. He said he was earning 400k naira in Nigeria with its accompanying stress.
*no one will advice him to watch his health then**.
2. The right thinking man discovered that job title will not give him his dream life. He decided to travel to Canada.
He settled for security job; in Nigeria context, such job is demeaning so to speak. But in advanced countries, there is dignity of labour in all a man does.
Now, he is putting in less effort to make that much and you are advising him to watch his health.
Don't you know he was been through so much stress to earn 400k naira in Nigeria
Now, as security guard, he is seizing the opportunity to study , make research and have fun too.
And he never said he will remain a security guard for life because he is even on a master's degree program.
Now, back to Nigeria, do you think, the young man would have been able to study for his master's degree while in Nigeria, watch movies that long a time and make research with that kind of job he had in island, Lagos ?
Infact, the OP is a very wise, determined and smart Nigerian.
I will suggest to everyone here and others that will join later, to learn the strategies that the OP is using to save and also those that have more saving tips to encourage the OP as well.
I like this guy.
All the sleep when u dey sleep for Nigeria(to stay healthy) wetin dem benefit person??
Na now when e young(OP) e get strength to work, so that by the time he is old, he will enjoy the fruits of his labour.
Working 12 to 15hours and still sleeping 8hours daily is just okay.
My guy, continue with your saving culture. You are an encouragement to so many young Nigerians reading your posts here.
Those of Una when dey canny dey complain say Una know fit save, settle down learn from this guy.
And again, make Una know dey too talk pass the OP......you will learn alot from this thread.
If u don't like the thread, you are free to read and not post, so that others can learn.
@OP.......u are good. Keep it up. I love you bro |
