Depends on where you go in Alberta. A house sold for 400k in Medicine Hat can cost you 650 to 700k in Calgary. Even within Calgary, a house sold for 450k in the Mcknight area can cost you 850k in the Aspen area.

Yes it is true. But I always think Alberta is worst in terms of real estate given that houses are very expensive there.

Ten years ago, my sister and her husband sold their house in Whitby (GTA) and moved to Calgary.
Ever since they have arrived in Alberta, they have been saying that living in Ontario was a complete waste to them.
You can never convince my sister to move back East. The only thing she miss about the East are the French schools for the kids.

New Brunswick is the only Canadian officially bilingual province. It is the land of The Acadians who are the descendants of French colonists.
So expect to meet people who never spoke English in New Brunswick

They speak the standard North American English but no one understands their French.
I always prefer dealing with them in English.

Some people will always have something to say about a transcript whenever a visa was denied.
VO render decision not based on transcript alone. They look at many other factors.

Just not that case but the only cases did not provide credible evidence. Unfortunately asylum cases are not strong to prove for Nigerians. The Canadians government does not believe that Nigeria in the whole sense is unsafe to be grant asylum from the cases being read and the op would of this thread would not qualify for asylum. Most of the approved asylum seekers that I know are from documented war torn countries.

In Canada abused women are considered women at risk and would make strong asylum case. OP doesn't have to be from a war torn country if she is fearing the father of her kids whom she has been reluctant to talk about.

Its hard to provide proper evidence when you went to the US on a tourist visa. You already have a record and at your visa interview, you gave the visa officer the impression that you would return back to the country.
At her asylum hearing, the first question she would be asked is why didn't she apply for asylum in the US. If your life was so threatened that you dread returning back to your country, you would not wait 4 years before filing asylum.

Shalom oga AZeD1, but those are just 3 cases out of .... hundreds thousands . In my opinion, it is insufficient to come to the conclusion that a Nigerian who crosses the US Canada border will be rejected by the refugee board. Adding to that each person's case is treated on its own merit.
