However much of a brilliant scientist Elon Musk might be, he's shown over the years that he's not objective and far from balanced up there. It's why a man with as much knowledge and resources available to him could be tricked into assenting sex change surgeries for his son.
Years later, instead of taking responsibility for his extreme foolishness, he has tethered himself to the extreme of the right and is shouting "woke mind virus" saying that was what "killed" his son, for decisions he made with clear eyes. He should FOH with his BS, I fvck with him heavily as an inventor, but beyond that, he can't be trusted on much else. |

raumdeuter: The keyy thing is will the Brit making that reference be right using facts and statistics or we know he is right but he is not the right person to say it because it offends us? So if a you put a blanket over the face of the speaker and you dont know his race, you will be okay with it
If you living in Lekki say people in Ajegunle are living in subhuman or animalistic environment, The Ajegunle people might take offence, they might not like it but it doesnt change the fact that you are right
Same thing if you say a woman over 50yrs and unmarried is past her prime of desirability in the dating pool, this might offend women in that category
Say height and/or wealth is part of a man desirability appeal, Might offend short/ poor men but at the end of the day
So what are you more bothered about being factual correct or insulting sensibilities? I'm not saying the statement is right, cause stuff like that is always stripped of a lot of context and hardly ever have simple answers. Taking it back to the Elon Musk situation, he can't be "part of the group" that was responsible for the apartheid situation, and knowing the pain that's come to be associated with that era, speak fondly about it and not expect people to take offence, especially when you consider the political and social structures that supported the so called high civilization. So while I'm not necessarily saying Elon Musk's statement had anything to do with apartheid, it's not out of place for people to come for him giving the realities of that time. |

raumdeuter: --------------Enyeama Yobo----Keshi---Taribo---Celestine ---------------Oliseh --Finidi------------Mikel -------------Kanu ---Yekini--Osimhen Lookman suppose replace Kanu if we're being totally honest. Kanu was a fine footballer, but zero goals in multiple AFCON and world cup appearances would always be a question mark. |

DissTroy: So you want to remember fondly of being colonized, but others shouldn't point out how better it was?
Your neighbours can remember fondly how they enjoyed free wifi to learn tech skills from you, but you can't say, "When I was around, I used to give those people free wifi. How come the landlord doesn't do so more often for them? I did it well."
Are you wrong? Did they not benefit from your free wifi and video tech tutorials?? Wrong analogy! In the context you described, nothing shows I preyed on my neighbours, same can't be said about Nigeria under colonial rule. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 5:56pm On Jan 12 |
Ghostagain: "precolonial" means prior to colonisation. You meant "colonial". Thanks, colonial Nigeria. |
