I didn't read where the Nigerian Military said that they are going to use forensic technology to fish out the culprits, rather they are using bragadaccio, threats and intimidation as a means of solving the problem. This is 15th century way of doing things. We live in an era of technological know how and one individual is capable of creating mayhem. The Niger Delta freedom fighters could easily lay low and frustrate the efforts of the Government at will. Are they going to kill everyone because they are looking for the freedom fighters? We are watching!

They don't have to. Interviews and some forensics should fish out enough people who will point out the ring leaders. Arresting those ones will make these incidents reduce. Things may get worse before they get better. These terrorists should realize that the game is up. There's a new sheriff in town.

This is pure show of crass bravado. Buhari's gra-gra will not get us any where, it will be a clollateral damage. Obasanjo tried it, and we know where that led to.

Buhari should negotiate with the militants. After all, blowing up the pipelines is not hard.

There will always be collateral damage in a conflict. Maybe those blowing up the pipelines should actually look for jobs rather than sabotaging the fragile electicity generation in the country.

Why negotiate with these sorts of economic terrorists who can't see beyond their selfish greed?

With the way this govt is treating d opposition, I wonder how it will be when it is PDP's turn. By then Pa Buhari, Tinubu and other APC criminals would hav been old, hence dealing with old criminals like them would be interesting to watch. We have thousands of people in the army and making them to declare their assets would cost millions or billions or even trillions to analyze and record in a data base which we obviously don't have.
It would have made more sense if asset declaration was enforced on all senior staffs.

You do know that court processes take time and aren't instantaneous at least in governments that aren't dictatorships.

People under arrest and being transported are usually in cuffs. They're not necessarily in cuffs while they are in court unless they pose a threat or have just come from or are going to prison.

This sort of confused response just makes me wonder. The removal of subsidy means that fuel price is no longer controlled by the government.

i truly support the agitation for the division of this contraption called Nigeria with due respect. firstly , this country is not working and will never work. How come Northern Governors support the killing of unarmed civilians simply because they blocked road for religious activity when on every Fridays, roads,streets are blocked for prayers.

You speak as if there aren't parts in the south where roads are blocked for parties. How do you know that dividing the country won't just make it fail harder?

These sorts of sectarian issues are the reasons why Nigeria and Nigerians need to properly stand up for secularism and stop this Sharia law rubbish that operates in some parts of the country.

When I was a child I thought offerings would be poured in a basin, then God will come down and take the money. But on realising it was pastors that spent the money, as a child I stopped giving offering in church. Yet, God in his infinite Mercies still blessed me.

No it isn't useless. They more accurately predict the movement of bodies in space which was the aim of Newton's theories. That is why I find your responses here not just bizzare but ignorant.

Well he would be less likely to believe in the other weird stuff he believed in. Whether or not I would quote him in that hypothetical situation would depend on what he said. What's silly here is your ignorance of modern scientific theories like the theory of relativity, and quantum field theory. They are more accurate.

You're trying to put the cart before the horse... largely because you either dont understand biology or you do and realize that it contradicts your point of view. The cosmos is still vast and the entire earth is still insignificant at the cosmic scale. Actually, the cosmos came before the earth and the earth came before life. Personal interest is a personal preference. What exactly is being contradicted by biology?

You really dont want to go down the road of the fossil record because i am quite certain you have never studied it at all. If you did, you would stay quite clear of using it as proof for evolution... there is a reason no one is talking it up. If the fossil record for intermediate life forms existed (as would be expected if indeed evolution occurred) no one would be debating the theory today.

Actually the fossil record is one of the lines of evidence for evolution and actually scientists still discuss it. Well there are fossils of intermediate life forms and the theory's explanatory power is still strong.

But it is true. Newton also had lots of misguided ideas and had no knowledge of the current theories that are more accurate than his.
