Politics / Buhari Bans A Dead Judge From Traveling Out Of Nigeria by TheLawTheLegal: 1:43pm On Oct 14, 2018 |
Banned from the grave: Late Ex Enugu CJ, Umezulike makes Buhari’s list of personalities banned from traveling outside Nigeria A former Chief Judge of Enugu State, Late Hon Justice Innocent Umezulike who was buried months ago is among the Nigerian top dignitaries banned by President Muhammadu Buhari from traveling outside the country. It is unclear, whether the presidency is aware that the late Jurist is already resting in peace in his grave in Enugu State or whether the ban is intended to operate even from his grave. This however is not the first time the presidency will be listing dead Nigerians in its data as among the living. In December 2017, President Buhari appointed 8 dead people as Board members of government agencies and ministries. http://www.barristerng.com/banned-from-the-grave-late-ex-enugu-cj-umezulike-makes-buharis-list-of-personalities-banned-from-traveling-outside-nigeria/ http://www.barristerng.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/INNOCENT-UMEZULIKE-CJ-ENUGU-STATE.jpg cc: lalasticlala NwaAmaikpe

nike4love: Why are we wicked? Why are we like this? Is it that you have never read where the pope condemned the attacks going on in Nigeria? The link below is a news reported in August 2017 where the pope decried the attacks on Christians in Nigeria. https://m.guardian.ng/news/pope-francis-slams-anti-christian-attacks-in-nigeria-central-africa/ Have you not also heard of the comments by the Catholic bishop conference of Nigeria on this issue before now? The link below is a news reported in February 2018 where the Catholic bishop conference of Nigeria informed the FG that Nigerians are now under siege. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/02/act-now-nigeria-siege-catholic-bishops-tell-buhari/ It is acceptable if you are not a Catholic but it is against natural law to be utterly unreasonable. As to the protest, the protest was ordered by CAN and not Catholic bishop conference of Nigeria or the Vatican. 4 Likes |
Crime / Barrister Emeka Ugwuonye's Name Struck Off As A Barrister. by TheLawTheLegal: 1:12pm On Apr 26, 2018 |
Emeka Ephraim Ugwuonye, the Nigerian lawyer disbarred in the US, has finally been disbarred in Nigeria. The Chief Registrar has struck off his name from the roll of legal practitioners. The roll is a register that contains all the names of all those who are qualified to practice law in Nigeria. He is well known for his Facebook activism against domestic violence. Unfortunately, he was accused of misconduct unbecoming of a legal practitioner. In a later dated the 24th day of April, 2018, and made available to lawyers, the Chief Registrar says that Emeka Ugwuonye failed to appeal a decision made against him in May, 2017, which amounted to waiver of his right of appeal. The general public are put on notice not to deal with him as a barrister.

Celebrities / Re: Flavour’s Concert: No Rape Case In Our Command – Enugu Police by TheLawTheLegal: 9:17pm On Apr 04, 2018 |
It is really surprising that some dimwits who go by the name ''Feminists'', chose to paint all Igbo mem as rapists, solely on an instagram account by an unknown idiot. It is more annoying that majority of the girls who have 'yabbed' the Igbomen for the past few days are Igbo girls. These are probably the Igbo girls the Yoruba people describe as having hairs all over their body with yam legs. Now it has been confirmed that no one has made a report of an alleged rape to the police. It is now left for any victim to make a report to the police. It is on record that the police have a way of not making public those who have been raped, and even when the matter is taken to court, the judge may take the evidence of the victim in camera. So any victim should be assured of her protection. The person who started this destructive rumour should be arrested and those Igbo girls who joined other tribes in castigating Igbo men can now hide their faces in shame while pouring ashes on their heads as a sign of repentance from their stupidity. 20 Likes 2 Shares |

Politics / Corruption: Buhari Reinstates Suspended NHIS Boss, Usman Yusuf. by TheLawTheLegal: 4:58am On Feb 07, 2018 |
President Muhammadu Buhari has reinstated the suspended Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Usman Yusuf. Mr. Yusuf was suspended by the Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, in June 2017, following allegations of gross misconduct. A panel commissioned by the minister after Mr. Yusuf’s suspension later found him culpable of infractions that ranged from nepotism to theft of public funds. An administration official familiar with the development was quoted by Premium Times on Tuesday evening as saying that Mr. Buhari did not consider Mr. Yusuf’s indictment by a ministerial panel before asking him to return to work. According to the source, the letter of reinstatement was sent to Mr. Adewole on Tuesday evening. Mr. Adewole confirmed receipt of the reinstatement letter to Premium Times blog Tuesday night, but did not elaborate on when Mr. Yusuf would resume or under which terms. “It is true that the president has reinstated him,” Mr. Adewole said. The reinstatement letter urged Mr. Yusuf to work closely with the minister upon resumption. For the minister to cooperate with Mr. Yusuf will not be easy, said Eluma Asogwa, a legal practitioner. “This is a humiliation of the minister,” Mr. Asogwa told PREMIUM TIMES by telephone Tuesday night. “He has sent a wrong signal and encouraged insubordination amongst heads of agencies against ministers.” “This has now become a growing trend that does not portend well for our polity, it does not even augur well for the anti-corruption war of the president,” he said. Mr. Yusuf, 54, took over the state-run health insurance provider on July 29, 2016. But his reign at the agency has been fraught with graft controversies. The suspension came weeks after the Senate launched investigations into his activities as the NHIS chief. The lawmakers accused Mr. Yusuf of “corrupt expenditure of N292 million” which he allegedly spent on health care training “without recourse to any appropriate approving authority.” The NHIS chief denied any wrongdoing. http://skytrendnews.com/2018/02/06/breaking-buhari-reinstates-nhis-boss-usman-yusuf-suspended-fraud-ignores-health-minister/ lalasticlala |
