PoliticsRe: Senate: Akpabio Behind My Removal, Orji Kalu Is Next - Elisha Abbo by themanderon: 8:30pm On Oct 16, 2023
Apc has totally bastardized the judiciary. I warned about this when people allowed Buhari to humiliate Onnoghen. The lawyers and judges that were supposed to react kept mute. Today their judgements are now perceived as questionable even if they are right. Inconsistencies in judgements has made people lose faith in the judiciary.

You may not even have time to react.

With bad roads like the one in this case, you could be in your lane inching forward with several vehicles ahead of you. The other lane with traffic heading in the opposite direction is also moving slowly...and suddenly, there is a trailer plus container beside you. If the container loses balance and you are fortunate that it tips over slowly, you may have enough time to escape through the passengers side of your car. Unfortunately, the more likely scenario is that the container will tip over quickly and in the panic and confusion, the average driver of the smaller car won't stand a chance.

I thought I knew how to drive until the day I was negotiating a sharp bend up a very steep hill in the early 2000s on a road trip through Ondo and Kogi states (en route to Abuja), only to see a huge trailer racing down the same hill at exactly the same time. I cannot put into words the cold fear that I felt that day - I literally froze on the steering wheel as I waited for the inevitable. Fortunately for me, that trailer driver took that bend like a professional and I lived to see another day. He was speeding very fast so if he had lost control and swerved out of his lane, I would have been crushed and ground to powder. All of this happened in less than five seconds.

That day humbled me and I haven't forgotten it. Its an awful thing to have your life in someone else's hands, hoping and praying he doesn't make a mistake.

RIP to the late Akuma. The government has his blood on its hands.
Only God will help us I always tell people if you are driving drive for yourself and others. You cannot tell if there is a lunatic trying to get himself and others killed.

Where was he supposed to go? Look again. He had nowhere else to go.

^^^
He had no options. It is a single lane carriageway (or a total bastardization of one) so he had nowhere else to go. He didn't stand a chance, poor fellow.

You’re clearly just trolling in a stupidly callous way. . This is not the place or time for it.

There was no overtaking here. You cannot see the driver’s cabin of the trailer. That should tell you that traffic was moving in opposite directions.

Don’t mock this man’s death. Be careful, lest you fall.

^^^

huh

The deceased had no options!!! Where was he supposed to go??!
It's a sad situation. I would rather abandon the car on that road than ride close to that thing. We are in serious trouble in this country.
TravelRe: Container Crushes Abia Businessman To Death On His Way To Port Harcourt Airport by themanderon: 5:39pm On Oct 16, 2023
See that road and they were riding close to a container truck. In fact these bad roads are a general scourge in all parts of Nigeria and has sent many to untimely deaths yet there is no solution in sight to the issue of decayed roads in all parts of the country.

Okay, name the power brokers.

I am waiting.
So you expect to see them on the news? That's why I said they are unseen powers working behind the scenes.
PoliticsRe: EFCC's Northern Leadership Since 2003 by themanderon: 5:15pm On Oct 16, 2023
SoNature:
If there was a power broker somewhere who determines the next president, nobody would be spending billions of naira running ads, bribing party faithfuls, buying votes, and going around the country to campaign for votes. The most stvpid people are those who know nothing but think they are the masters of politics. There are no power brokers anywhere.

Learning is a choice. You people should erase that SENSELESS idea.

Cc themanderon
That's why I said you have a lot to learn. Do you know how many billions are donated to fund our elections by outside donor agencies and governments? They have to give an impression that an election was held now. But the real deal has been struck behind the scenes and the power brokers have determined who would rule in conjunction with foreign powers. The election in 2015 would clearly show you that. Jonathan had lost favor with the powers that be. That was why the then US secretary of state Kerry would fly to Nigeria and hold secret meetings with Northern governors and cabals ignoring Jonathan completely. I knew what was up and Jonathan thought he could still win by holding a free and fair elections but I knew the rug had been pulled from under him. A prominent northern politician even said this when he granted an interview years later but I cannot remember his name. He said many Nigerians never knew the US had stationed their warships in the gulf of guinea in anticipation of refusal of Jonathan to step down and that was why he easily conceded because the conspiracy against him was much.
Nigeria is of great importance to these powers who have always had vested interest in it and they cannot allow an outsider to come in and ruin their party. Know this and know peace. When I talk about elections I mean the presidential election and not other lesser positions.

Every region is a power broker in Nigeria. There are no power cabals anywhere. Nobody negotiates power in Nigeria. Voters decide the next president of Nigeria.

Candidates of major parties win the presidential election because the parties have the necessary spread across the country.
.

It seems you are a kid or you are new to Nigeria? Voters decide nothing. Nigeria belongs to some unseen power brokers who have decided it's fate from inception. We have been in this country long enough to know this

If IMF tells you the reforms you made is in order then know that something is seriously wrong with those reforms. Until Africans realize that IMF and world bank are very bad for them, Africa will remain a shithole continent.

Kano has land... Has lots of rivers that can be dammed

Kano can bring out 200,000 hectares without stress ... That's over 200 hectares per couple

800 million used can provide.... 400 million for tractors and 400 million for seeds... Get another 600 million for fertilizers

200 hectares at worse can yield 3 tons per hectares minimum if good seeds are used

That's 600 tons per person say worse still 500 tons... That's 5000 bags of corn... Say each bag is sold for 45,000 ... That's

That's 22 million per head they can be settled for life

No let's waste it on weeding give them bed to fvck and make babies
Northern politicians are wickedly smart. They need them to make more and more babies so they will always continue to have the population to keep them in power. They don't care about illiteracy, they don't care about the poverty ravaging them but they need them to make more babies.

The good Lord said in the good book remove the beam from your eyes before you talk about removing the spec from another person's eyes. There are tons of South Africans living in abject poverty and squalor, but look at their president talking about sending aid to people he has no business with. It is good to render help but let charity begin at home. It seems we all have this issue amongst African leaders.

The reality is that they can live together in peace if they choose to. I don't support either really because over the years, they've both been nasty to each other. The difference is that the Palestinian leaders unwittingly expose innocent civilians who end up as collateral damage. People have come to understand that. It's the reason why there's no serious world outcry unlike in the past. I shed a lot of tears for them in the past. I've learnt to stay neutral while praying that the two stubborn peoples resolve their issues.
Most of these Arabs and especially Iran is for the total annihilation of the state of Israel. They are not interested in living side by side as neighbors.
