Viking07: Its only on Nairaland drivers supposedly make millions monthly. The real reality is only seen outside this forum in different Facebook, WhatsApp and telegram groups. Everyday, people are lamenting about how ridiculous the price of bolt/Uber is. Your car go spoil, you go dey find different loans to take fix up. This morning someone in a group sent me a dm asking me to borrow him 7000 naira to buy engine oil.
In fact as I type this we are currently lamenting on a WhatsApp group. Bolt prices have remained unchanged for years despite the over 200% inflation in this shithole. I’m yet to understand why there are so much deceit on this thread/page while in reality 99% of these guys are surviving on loans. Infact most of them don’t even own the cars they use despite driving for years. They are on what they call remittance. Where they pay weekly to the owner.
Now ask yourself if the hustle is so good. Why is it that majority don’t own a vehicle? Why does most of them look so haggard when you see them on the street? My brother, this hustle is a scam. You only enjoy it as a side gig. The greatest mistake you’ll ever make is resigning from that your job.
If you like fall for all the million dashboard. The dashboard doesn’t show you fuel and other expensive maintenance they do monthly.
Now that you’ve made me type this epistle. Kindly credit my access bank account with 10,000 only. Thank you. Are you just waking up? I have been an observer here, an active member years back and I remember when these points you mentioned were being made here, na you cheer criminal bandit pass aka Cheerfulgiver. Where do you stand? Imagine you that drive in Abuja crying this loud, you for don run mad if na Lagos you dey drive. |

You should have pissed on your bosses head a long time ago and join in making the same money others are making nah. What's stopping you? He doesn't have any boss. He doesn't have any job, just doing hustling from Onitsha to Uyo to Owerri to Lagos. Dude is an imposter. But I'm done with him for now. Next time around, he will be swallowed by a crocodile. |

You don't have any business coming to this thread in the first place. You have never driven on Uber and don't have a single car in the platform. So what are you doing here on a daily basis if not that you are extremely stupid ? |

 Corto: Look at this fool.
How many other people do you see exposing their paychecks online? It's only idiots like yourself and cheerfulgiver, peasants bedevilled by generational poverty who never even imagined they could live a better quality life than their truck-pusher fathers. So every one naira they earn they must rush on here to brag
We were all here when Cheerful took the first airplane ride of his life, 2017 or thereabouts. He came here to post the ticket stub and brag We all saw how he destroyed the fledgeling business with his poverty-mentality and greed.
Change your mindset is what everyone here is telling you. Don't be too arrogant to learn newer, better ways of making legit money. And stop projecting your underprivileged heritage on every other person. Free your mind dude, and your peasant ass will follow! Lol. What do you expect when monkey fly plane for the first time for him life, he no go jump for tree in celebration? |

Conner44: When working with google’s YouTube you don’t only earn by the views, there are other numerous activities and avenues you can utilize on your YouTube channel that can also generate affiliated income for you.
1. If in your YouTube video, you make use of a particular item/gadget and input a link to a store where your viewers can also purchase such an item you will get paid a fraction of the cost of that product via affiliated links. Many online websites make use of this feature eg. Amazon, Ebay, Aliexpress, etc
2. You can increase the revenue generating potential of your YouTube account by giving Google the permission to in run their own advertisement ms on your videos. Google can input these adverts either at the start, middle, end or in timed sequences within your videos (if they are longer) and you get paid for viewers watching these adverts. If they decide to click on the adverts themselves then your commission increases.
3. Do you know that when someone goes to google.com to search for a video, google fills the first few results with hits from YouTube? If you follow any one of those YouTube links you’d be taken to the YouTube viewing page where you can watch that specific video you clicked on BUT if you scroll below that video as it’s playing you’d find other similar YouTube videos from other authors, clicking on another video after or in the middle of watching that initial one will still generate a fraction of referral income to the original video that dragged you the viewer into YouTube from google.com in the first place?
3. Do you know that a YouTube channel and a YouTube video are two different things? A YouTube video is just a single hit among other hits from different authors while a channel is a total of videos from one single author. Do you know that the more time a viewer spends in a specific authors YouTube channel the higher income the owner of that channel makes from that viewer?
4. Have you heard of something called viewing hours or play time on YouTube? This isn’t concerning video or advert clicks or hits anymore but the actual amount of time that users spend watching your videos on YouTube. The pay for this is different from hits and clicks. I can come to your YouTube video, click on it and it opens and then after watching for 10 seconds I exit and you will still get paid BUT assuming I chose to stay longer and watch that video to the end you will get paid higher for my view. That is why you hear some people brag that they have a total of 5,000 total hours of view time on their channels. This isn’t about hits or clicks anymore but the total amount of time that the play button was being run on their channel and not how many times it was clicked.
5. YouTube is seriously monetized that almost everything you do on it generates money for the owner. Do you know that viewer subscriptions pay the owners? Do you know that simply unmuting the volume pays too? Watching a video to the end and then rewinding it to the beginning or center also pays as well. You might be calculating all these in cents but at the end of the day it multiplies to form your total earnings for the month.
6. Do you know that I can approach a company, brand or individual and make a deal with them to incorporate their products or services into my YouTube channel and they will agree to do so? They won’t pay you directly because google can flag your account for copyright violation so they must involve google in the agreement to monitor your channel and pay you for the use of their branding. They send the paychecks to google and google forwards the paycheck to you after taking their commission.
If you read up on YouTubes T&C’s you’d get a general idea of how their monetizing techniques work and you can also find ways to legally incorporate your own external money making techniques into your channel as well. Everything boils down to knowledge and having the right mentorship which anybody can get by knowing who to ask the relevant questions You stole some other person's article from the internet and posted it here as if it's your write up. You don't even have an idea of your copy and paste, how it actually works. You're as ignorant as Pearl. Just do your own video and post it on YouTube na. See Mumu. Try adsense na if you aren't running a traffic jammed website. In the next ten years, shi shi, you no go see. Don't derail this thread again. |
