I think you are dreaming don't you have families that can warn and advise you on this? Believe once bitten twice shy so there's no man in the world you can have relationship with? History is going to repeat itself he left you when you are pregnant and he would do that again and abandon you. How do you know he doesn't have anything. Be careful and don't give him a chance. That happened to my woman friend the man abandon him and her boy for 10 years and ran away with another woman he came back using charm to impregnate her the man aged father like 80 years prostrated for the woman. He signed an agreement that he would be taking care of her. 3 months later he reneged on his promise thank God she didn't give hime second chance. It is the case of another man that a wise person learn from according to Yoruba adage don't fall into this trap please |

It's not just about USA ban. It's difficult to use federal might because Oshiomole is no moe the chairman. It's impossible for him to command those security agents. Besides the hardship APC inflicted on Nigerians presently caused voters to turn against them. Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How I Lost A Potential Job Because Of My Denomination by Thereishel: 5:03pm On Sep 13, 2020 |
wunmi590: Good day nairalanders,
Sorry I have to write this, I have decided to keep it to myself but, I decided to let it out.
Just like every other job seekers who are looking for jobs either to switch to a better pay or change environment.
Though I have been out of job since the COVID-19 pandemic started, I worked in a retail company, but since we have not been called back, I decided to search for job.
I saw an advert and decided to submit my application, just like every other people, luckily after one week or two, I got a mail that I have been shortlisted for their online test and after I pass, I will move to the next stage which is virtual interview before coming to their office to sign my employment letter.
After the mail, like 3 days I got a mail containing my ogin and password for the test, fiam, I opened and I did the test.
After like another 3days, I got a mail from them that I passed the test and i should be expecting a whatsap call from one of their head office in Europe.
Luckily I got the call, from one of the European country number from a Nigerian, believing is the call that would change my life forever.
After the normal introduction and other things like the job functions, the real bible questions started which I was able to scale through it.
Towards the end of the virtual interview, the last question was are you a born again Christian, have you been baptised and what denomination are you?.
And I said yes I'm a born again Christian, I've been baptised and I'm a Roman Catholic.
At the end of my speech his response was, is not possible to be a Catholic and be born again.
He said once you were not taken to the river to be baptised that's not a baptism.
Catholics are not born again Christians and I'm not baptised too just because I was not taken to the river to be baptised.
His last statement was, you actually have the experience but, we need other denomination not Catholic that the job entails somebody who is a real born again Christian.
That was how I lost the job, thinking today being my birthday, I will go to church and do special thanks giving. God is teaching you to be born again for real join Deeper life Bible Church and you will understand. There's more important thing than job, kingdom of God. |

Family › Re: My Wife Won't Cook For Our Guests. Please Advise Me by Thereishel: 6:25pm On Sep 03, 2020 |
SirMichael1: Hello Good afternoon Familanders. This is very long, so please bear with me.
I’ll start from the root. Well, in my church, there’s usually a committee for the married men where most times we can proffer solution to the issues or need of the church members and other times organize get together monthly within us (married men) just to foster unity. Since we're like 20, different men host the get together. Therefore, it's spaced out for 1year and 8months.
It all began last Sunday when I was chosen to oversee the next get together which comes up this Sunday after church. When we (my wife and I) got home after church, I told her about it and she immediately asked, “who would do the cooking”? I was taken aback as the question sounded strange. I replied her saying, since she did the cooking the last time, I figured she’d do it this time.
She got angry and said there’s no way she’ll be going through the stress of cooking for 18 to 25 men and that I better know what to do concerning who’s going to handle the cooking. I tried to calm her down and reminded her of how I assisted her in the kitchen by pounding the yams while she made the soup -two soups actually and that I was going to help her this time. Yam is quite expensive so we’re not pounding this time, just Semo.
She remained adamant and said there was no way she would do anything, that the work stressed her so much and she won’t partake in any cooking and that I better go find anyone to do the cooking. Thing is, I understood the fact that the work was stressful for her because she was 5 months pregnant then and it was her first time.
Yesterday at work, I kept pondering about a solution and a thought struck me. I called her from work and asked her, "how about I get one of the women at church to offer you support?". She blatantly refused and still held on to her words.
My mind hasn’t been settled since morning because I got hold of a caterer and she told me that she’ll charge a thousand naira per head, that is approximately 20k. Truth is, the get together came at a wrong time and considering the prices of drinks, the cost of the food stuff, meat, ingredients, etc. I really can’t afford a caterer right now.
I’m at a cross road now. I don’t know what to do because it’s causing a rift between us. I thought of bringing a church member to assist on that day without informing her so she wouldn’t surprise me and leave the house but I fear that if she comes, my wife might not join her in the kitchen and the woman will begin to feel a certain way (thinking of how ungrateful we are). Then again, who will purchase the food items? I’ve just been confused. I really need insights.
Note: I said I'll help her make the swallow, she just needs to make the soup. Don't blame her it is not easy cooking for about 20 people even if she has support. Request for about 2 people from church to join her |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Government Recruitment In Nigeria Is Scam: What Happened In Oyo State by Thereishel: 1:37pm On Sep 02, 2020 |
Desmondum: I have been hearing people saying this but I never believed, I used to think those people are just finding excuses for their failure. Now it has happened to me.
We applied for advertised jobs at the Oyo State Hospital Management Board around November last year, qualified applicants wrote CBT around February this year. The results were out around March and people who failed and passed were able to see/check their result one way or the other.
Now, wen the list for shortlisted candidates for interview was pasted just last week, it was not up to 10-20% of the people that passed. It became obvious that only connection worked here.
My question now is that, is this how we are going to continue in this country?
What exactly is the future of youths in Nigeria?
For how long are we going to remain this way?
Kindly share your experience if you have passed through a situation like this either on State or Federal level, I would also appreciate other people that applied, passed and denied employment in Oyo State Hospital Management Board to buttress this. I don't want to keep quiet because our silence keep making things worse in this country.
Below is the list of people that passed in my department. I'll upload the few list for the final shortlisted candidates next to it, just 18 people. Apologies to anyone who might not like his or her name published, but I just have to do this, we can't continue this way in this country.
Mods, I'll really appreciate if you guys can move this to FP. You don't expect all that applied and passed to be hired. It's a matter of number of vacancies available |
