Flavio, I think you took the arguments a little over the board with winnergal, and maybe an apology will bring this to a stop. This is supposed to be a forum and not a battle field.

Winnergal, this isn't your first time of getting into conflicts, and seriously, I don't like you very much but that's not to say I will castigate you for what someone else caused, but I will plead that you tone down the insults and maybe if you guys may do so, don't include your mothers.

I know this sounds soo stupid. . . ANyone would think that Im freaking stupid but this is how I feel. . .

Baby, right now my only goal in life is to make you a successfull man. I want you to be successfull so that you could fullfill your promise to your parents. Your parents have been taking public transportation to work every single day and the number of hours to work takes about 2 hours. . . Now that your parents are old, they are still taking public transportation to work its because they need to support and feed themselves and your two other siblings whom are still young.

I'll do whatever it takes to make you successfull and it dont matter whether if you and me end up together or not. It dont matter if we broke up eventually cause all I ever wanted to see right now and in the future is you being a successfull man in life. All I ever wanted from you is that whever you go and whatever age you are, always remember three things:
1) Remember where you come from
2) Dont take anything which is not yours unless granted permission full heartedly
3) Treat and take everthing into Moderation

Only these three things I really hope you could promise me you'll take it wherever with you. . . cry
What is this? angry angry

OK. Here goes to that one woman:

My reason for writing to you was just to let the feelings flow. This is to the one I love. Everyday, I fall over and over in love with you again , as the time goes on and a new day shows, your presence enlarges and my love grows. I just wanted to thank you for sharing and making me laugh. Thanks for being the most awesome girl a guy would ask for. Thanks for the warm moments, caring times, and loving experiences. Thanks for understanding me and most importantly, thanks for just being there for once I have found someone who stands besides me and not over me and I'm so lucky to have you.

There are so many reasons; so many causes that make me love you. Thanks for all the happiness you bestow upon me. Thanks for making me see what I don't see. Thanks for camouflaging my faults. Thanks for tolerating my idiosyncrasies and playing along with them. Thanks for making me overexcited.

Thanks for holding my hand when I need your touch. Thanks for hugging me hard when I need your warmth. Thanks for wiping my tears when I cry so foolishly and last but not the least, thanks for loving me the way you do , I love you all the way down to my toes and up to my brains and a lot more in the middle!!
here is what i think will happen,if something(god forbid),happens to our leader, jonathan will take over, but will have a northerner appointed as vice president,
this northerner might then be asked to run in 2011 and stay for 1 term
that is the most plausible thing to happen

i wonder why he is so worked up,we are talking a lot of hypotheticals here for now so calm down dude

but we just had one from the south for 8yrs,so whats the big deal,he only left 2yrs or so ago
That is what I think should happen or they should swear him in and he chooses his deputy personally, which of course will have to be approved by the national assembly.
the viper:
@TheSeeker,u know me dude.i dont start things,bt i dont hide from things.the dude had a look at my post and decided that i was ranting. you know ofcourse who rants? ndi ara. so i am simply returning the damaged goods that he sold to me.
It's ok. Forget it, you may as well have read too much into it. Just ignore, sorry!
i wouldnt consider our country lawless

i will give u some examples

1.obasanjo wanted a 3rd term but could not get it due to pressure from the national assembly,he wanted to change the constitution but they did not budge and he had to go(mind u most african so called leaders rule for ever, from egypt to angola)
2.oshiomole,peter obi and a host of other governors had their elections validated and removed sitting governors who had stolen the election
3.EFCC is putting the likes of bode george in jail
4.Andy uba just lost in anambra state

the point is that it might be messy, but this is not military rule anymore over here, maybe u can say jonathan will be a figure head(thats another arguement altogether),but he will be sworn in if the unfortunate happens
I think OBJ was mainly refused the third term bid by the majority of the northerners who are abundant in the house along with some south eastern and south southern members. However, it was a good step in the right direction of democracy.

Oshiomole and Obi having their rightful mandates back was a miracle or should I say, the law being allowed to operate without manipulation, and in fact, was very interesting the way the case went. But I still have to maintain that there are more illegally elected governors, local government chairmen, councilors, senators, representatives, in office than those two people. We need to achieve more.

Bode George in my opinion fell out of favor of some other political powers higher than him. He's not the first and won't be the last. Ibori is still walking down the streets of Nigeria and serving at the Federal capacity without being dutifully questioned.

Andy Uba losing in Anambra state was a surprise but then again, Anambra state may be as stubborn as Lagos in that the political tussle there will always result in a mess if not managed properly.
but there cannot be another election until 2yrs time,so jonathan must become president

and PDP is not the north,PDP have to respect the constitution,as they cannot bring someone unelected to rule this country

dont forget yar adua and jonathan goodluck were elected together

so your arguement does not hold water
If you may wish to know, I'm not supporting the motion neither am I making it sound nice but we have to admit this is a lawless country where anything can happen. If a supposed candidate that wasn't found on the ballot paper until the election could have won an election and nothing is done about it, then don't be surprised that this can be overturned. Their argument is that Jonathan was voted in a vice president and will remain so for the eight years, and anything other than that is puncturing the already set out geographic political presidential rotation.

If another man is appointed from the North to step in for Yaradua, Jonathan will still be the vice president but will not complete his first tenure as it'd no more be 8 years for them but rather 6.
the presidency was zoned to the north, after 8yrs of southern rule

that is how they do it in most complex countries like lebanon and even countries like malaysia where u have different ethnic groups and there is usually a gentlemans agreement to rotate the presidency

since it was zoned to the north, most parties produced a northern candidate

u have still not told me how buhari would have won in the south
That explanation is why the North will NOT allow Jonathan to finish Yaradua's regime if anything happens to him, there's no other way we can have it, he will not finish his tenure for him.

I didn't say Buhari was going to win, did I? I just said in plain terms that the North will not let him (Jonathan) finish his boss' tenure no matter what the constitution says, now it's up to them to choose who they think will be the best candidate and indeed, we will have another worse candidate from there.

what has yar adua going to saudi arabia have to do with that?

i tell u that,if half the governors in the country perform half as much as fashola does, nobody would care if yar adua is in the country or not as the country would be on auto-pilot

so keep cursing yourself there and waiting for a savior, nigeria consists of 36states

one man cannot do nothing if the others refuse to pull their weight

so i expect your rant should be directed at the living deadweight governors

and stop picking on someone who u should instead be praying for,i guess u will live forever too right?
Makes sense. If all governors were to perform half as much as Fashola is doing, Nigeria will be the greatest country in Africa. But what are they doing with the allocations? Nothing! You can imagine where local government chairman's wife is receiving =N=1,000,000.00 kitchen allowance monthly and what do you expect of such place?
so u are telling me that nigerians would have voted for buhari instead?
that will not happen my friend
why do we like to unnecessarily bother ourselves
when murtala was killed, did obasanjo a southerner not take over for close to 3yrs,and this was in 1976 when the north had a lot of military personal in the army?
now the army is more proffesional and reflects all the states in roughly equal proportion
plus the niger delta people will not stand for jonathan being pushed out
Funny that you don't know Nigeria is no longer running on the constitution. . . I could have argued that blindly if I didn't know better. Let me tell you something and I would have asked you to note it - but I don't pray for a situation that will make the note come to reality - if Yaradua, God forbid, dies today, Jonathan will only be an acting president until a substitute is appointed from the North; we all know that's against the constitution but trust me, I heard it from lots of confirmed sources and even watched, read and saw interviews about it.

It has been emphatically stated many times, Jonathan will NEVER replace Yaradua if anything happens - maybe for a while until someone else is appointed but not constitutionally. As for the Niger Delta not standing for his push-out, I'm sorry, they will just rant, threaten and make whine but that's all there is to it, and to make matters worse for him, he wasn't there for them when they needed him - he's already an outcast.

Dear Lord, we have hope in you and in you we ultimately trust for everything we want. Father, shield our president from the fangs of death, protect his heart from the spears of evil, save him from getting an eternal rest when he's not due for it; give him long life and maybe if you wish dear Lord, change his heart so that he steps down for someone else to rule us, but most importantly, grant him good health, heal him completely and bring him safely home.

But with Yaradua, I'm sorry to break it to you brother, if - God forbid - anything happens to him today that disables him from ruling, another Northerner will be appointed to step in his shoes, not Goodluck.

PoliticsRe: Yaradua's Latest Picture - In Saudi? by TheSeeker(m): 1:08am On Nov 26, 2009
El Razur, you're totally wrong. A president of a nation, as known and understood everywhere else, has the right to disclose his health conditions as long as it interferes with the affairs of the country he is ruling. In a more democratic setting, this man should have resigned a long time ago to monitor his health. You can't tell me that you can run your health issues along with the nation's affair concurrently, that's no way possible.

If his health wasn't a public concern, why would the opposition party ask the presidency to disclose his health status? If it wasn't a public concern, why do you think the media is getting involved in it? Given the fact that Nigeria don't seem to care about anything else, there are still people who are concerned about the country and this man right here, that we call our president, is unfit to rule at this time, therefore, that makes it our priority. If he's a celebrity, I tell you, he owes it to his fans, let alone when he's a president - he owes it to all Nigerians to disclose his health conditions and why he's going to step down from the most exalted position in the country.

Why do you think in other countries they want to know all their dirty little secrets before they want to start contesting to rule? Leaders are supposed to have an open life - a life that is accessible by almost everyone (but this excludes family interests and private business matters that does NOT interfere with the affairs of the State) - and if you can't leave your life in the open for all to see, you shouldn't attempt to rule. If criminal record matters when making the choice of a leader, why doesn't health record?
