THE National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) on Wednesday in Abuja revoked the licence of Channels Television, saying the action was without prejudice to “any further action that may be taken by the commission as investigation is ongoing.

NBC, in a statement signed by Mr. Yomi Bolarinwa, the Director General of the Commission, said “with the provision of paragraph 8(d) of the Third Schedule of the NBC Act No 38 of 1992 (as amended) and paragraph 13.3.31(g) of the National Broadcasting Commission Code, the commission had no choice but to revoke the licence.
