For the first time , Nairalanders haven't turned a thread into a battle of the sexes. No feminist has insulted and blamed ALL men for the woes of the world. No misogynistic comment. Everyone has stated his or her opinion without bias. We are getting there. The candle of sexism is being lit by the flame of humanism. |
If you guys are already parents then 5.00am is acceptable. By 5.30am you should be done with your religious rituals... Then again, how late does she retire to bed? By 12.00am? For all we know she could be the only one handling the domestic chores while, like you, she works. Of course she'd be stressed with the need to get rejuvenated via sleep. |
epelumi42: I suppose I do. obiorathesubtle: In a world peopled with bestial beings with juts of agony-causing icebergs as we sail across its ocean of uncertainty, the supposed "40 seconds of Heaven on Earth" is enough respite to ease the bottled-up tension as we face some of the HELLISH moments humans go through . ![]() |
obiorathesubtle: The climax in itself is a reward. There's no greater sexual feeling than that. Add that to the sedated and satiated look your missy gives you when you help her achieve orgasm. You can at least bask in the euphoria of knowing you hold the key to her sexual pleasure. A boost to your virility as a man when she eventually recounts the lovemaking beneath the sheets to her friends in their girlie discussions. Trust me, she'd recount it. |
Synzu: Hopefully, like his previous thread, this doesn't get hidden by one of the sanctimonious, overzealous moderators and confined to the fringes of our memories only to be brought to fore occasionally. This is _erotica in its truest form. Lezz, why isn't it poetic? The poetry embellishes the imagery. |
JoeBlocks: The statistics and eyewitness accounts are testimonies which lay credence to that assertion of mine. Make no mistake - I am well-travelled and I've been domiciled in the aforementioned states (for considerable periods of time) before arriving at my conclusion. Check any official ranking of the safest cities and Uyo always ranks amongst the top three. While you folks in Ogun (Abeokuta and Otta), Lagos, ANAMBRA (Akwa) , Edo (Benin) and Osun (Oshogbo) States are overly security conscious especially from the months of September to December (which you tag "Ember months" ) , residents of Uyo aren't bothered. The aforementioned states have daily reported cases of cult group clashes but Uyo residents stay calm like a brook in a fenced-out nature park. Can you sleep with your gates open? It's a common occurrence in Uyo. What's more? Residents of the aforementioned cities agree with me. Uyo has even overtaken Calabar as the safest and cleanest city in Nigeria. Need I go on, sir? ![]() |
mayonnaise: Very safe. Just do well to be with your I.D card(s) at night just incase the MoPol at Plaza decide to get a little crazy. There are several relaxation centres though. The Ibomsphere Tropicana Resort which hosts the Silver bird Cinemas , the Ibom Plaza, countless parks along Four Lanes and IBB avenue. Get an online gazette about Uyo and you'd be thrilled. |
cruzita: Dimwit, unlike Ogun, Lagos, Osun, Anambra and Edo States where rituals are commonplace even at road junctions, there are no such despicable happenings in Uyo and its environs. Uyo is the only city in Nigeria where you can walk around even by 1.00am and still be safe. I dare you to mention any other city which rivals Uyo in this. It's no coincidence that Uyo is tagged "the safest city in Nigeria ". |
Harebrained, oppurtunistic, pilfering sly happy-go-lucky leech! Serves her right! |
"...If a girl don't wanna flow, me delete her. Me never repeat her. Me look for someone sweeter...". ![]() -Jude "M.I" Abaga, "Teaser", "Talk About It" album, 2009. |
Lezzlie: The way he pops out of nowhere to cast out illusional demons use to be irking but now I find it amusing...as I suspect you do too by now. ![]() I was just going through my Followed Topics and boom! I stumbled across another episode of the three-person comedy cyber-show. ![]() |

_Firsteva, _Postmann and _Lezz : crazy love triangle. A never-ending drama.

cheruv: May your shriveled lungs be bloated with toxic fumes for referring to the Akwa-Cross people as "Mmonos". You egocentric, dimwitted leeches always start controversies that would consume you. Little wonder you're hated by the Yorubas, Hausas, Ijaws and, now, the Akwa-Cross people. Worthless piece of trash! |

I wish more of our RULERS (that's right, RULERS not LEADERS) would be as vocal in their constructive criticisms of the government of the day as Senator Ben Bruce has been thus far. Naysayers opine that he hides behind the cover of the internet - a supposed cloak of dutch courage- to, in their words, rant. Ironically, the cyberspace is peopled by identities of living beings - the citizenry - and the information he passes across via his supposed rants reverberates across the virtual world, sipping into the consciousness of the internet users and, consequently, the effects are felt in the real world. JOB DONE! What Ben Bruce does is influencing public opinions; getting people to talk about topical issues which, of recent, are being distorted to favour Buhari and his cohorts. The issues he raises always get even members of the APC involved verbally and lexically. At the end of the day, we (partisans and neutrals alike) all agree he (Ben Bruce) makes COMMON SENSE. Job done! |
Which is exactly why the only female who's a non-relative worthy of my gifts and time is the one I am dating...and the gifts and time are limited. Just playact. My style : PLAY BLIND. STAY ALERT. KNOW ALL. Pretend you aren't bothered about the gifts she's been getting from men. Heck! Pretend the gifts aren't from men. Don't question her. Her defenses would be down which would leave her hitherto well-hidden escapades with men easy for you to put two and two together and figure out the kind of woman she is. By the time she realizes you've been on to her, you'd be long-withdrawn emotionally with enough evidence against her she can't deny. See? You'd be the one who played her. Either way, you wouldn't lose out. |
Nice attempt at trying to atone for yesterday. About your story: Why state who inspired the Mariam character? Why not keep it vague and make we, the readers, speculate? That curiosity about who she is and we trying to draw parallels between the fictional and real Mariams would get us addicted to your story...which, by default, is what every writer intends on his readers.
