Twelfthman:Oga, I watched the match live. Say something else. |
MeekySmudger:Sorry o, the only person thinking backwards is the one who is too emotional without capacity to analyze and evaluate assertions. Did you even understand what I typed Mr 16-bits brain? Look at the image below, if you draw a straight line down from the outermost right circumferential edge of the ball, it looks like it will still touch the goal line, meaning the whole ball may not have crossed the line. How will the referee give such a goal when it was not completely clear and certain? Please learn to reason objectively for it will take you far. I'll say the same if it was Messi that was in this situation.
|
In real time, I also thought the whole of the ball had crossed line. However, on replays the outer right circumference of the ball appeared perpendicular to the goal line, meaning the whole of the ball had not crossed the line. So the referee was actually right. Pele CR7, but you did not score, even when your favorite farmers' dishes were already prepared and given to you. |
Numerouno94:Hahahaa- that would be a historic-al ban. But 6 months too much na. Did he kill someone on Nairaland? |
Numerouno94:Obviously, the mod had had enough of his "jokes" ![]() |
obonujoker:My brother, no need to be scared of Uruguyman taking the shine again na, as they've postponed all South American matches due to Covid-19 restrictions. Person wey score up to 5 goals each against Uruguay and Brazil. Abeg, my Eibarman is all well and good jare. Meanwhile, what happened to Azerbaijaman on Wednesday that he refused to chop his favorite food even when the stat-padded table was set and ready for him?? What else will you people now be using to boast na? ![]() |
Fair list. I think other notable mentions include: 1. Emmanuel Adebayor - Deeply hated by Arsenal fans for his Man-city jeers. 2. Granit Xhaka - Hated by Arsenal fans for his villianous behaviour that often costs his team 3. El Hadji Diouf - Hated by Liverpool and Blackburn fans for his rude remarks 4. Busquets - hated for play-acting 5. Daniel Sturridge - just a frustrating player for all his clubs 6. Robbie Savage - very controversial player for Blackburn 7. Sergio Ramos - for his "assassination" of Salah and underhand tactics against Messi 8. Samir Nasri - Just has a load of issues that always ruins his relationship with his clubs |
Wow, what da hell is wrong with Brazilian players that most of them end up broke? Even Naija players get brain pass them. Adriano what a pity! Has a dynamite of a left leg. He is probably the player with the hardest left foot shot known to man (only R.Carlos and Gareth Bale can challenge sha). At some point between 2004 - 2005, he was the most feared striker in world. How did it all go so wrong for him? Instead of him to manage how to multiply his 1.2million pounds proceeds, he is still spending it on 10,000 pound/month hotels. In five years the money will finish, and he'll be literally back on the streets. |
Numerouno94:Shebi na the same Jokerman you are quoting na. What are the odds of two "joker" monikers supporting the same man utd and hating on Messi with similar writing styles. They are one and the same bro. |
obonujoker:Jokerman my man It's not by force to troll o. "Pionel Pessi" e no even flow well, yet you dey force am. Now pronounce the word "Penallllldo" and see how it rolls smoothly over the tongue like when you sip fine red wine in sumptuous delight. That's the difference. E choke well well o.Force-trolling is as good as no-trolling and even makes the force-troller look dumb. I do not believe you are though, or am I wrong?? ; |
ddippset:Dembele is also extremely fast na. Check his wonder goal against tottenham at camp nou in 2018 where he absolutely destroyed Harry winks or whatever for pace. I don't think I've seen a faster sprint than that other than Henry's breeze against Paraguay in France 98. Even if his goal sense is not as good as Mbappe, at least he suppose get better sense in key passes and crosses na, not to just be below par in all effective football parameters . |
cumz:I used to ask myself, why is Dembele not seen in the same light as Mbappe. To me, Dembele is even more skillful than Mbappe, more nimble, better with both feet and arguably as fast or even faster than Mbappe in a lightning race. So I told myself that Dembele was a better prospect than Mbappe and will eventually take the world stage by storm. This was back in 2019. Two seasons after and after everything I've seen, I can comfortably tell you that it will be hard for Dembele to become a world-class player. He is undoubtedly a world-class talent, but transiting to a world-class player may be highly difficult. He may just continue to be that player who performs best when least expected and often falls short when all eyes are on him. Why do I say that? Dembele's problem is decision making/reliability. Decision making is what sets apart average players from world-class players. I wish Dembele had the mental construct of even Bukayo Saka, for then he would become world-class. But then I fear, because most world-class players already had a good decision-making mindset right from when they were very young as it's often an innate thing e.g Messi at 19, De Lima at 19, Mbappe at 18, Rooney at 18, Fabregas at 17, Xavi at 20, Iniesta at 20, Eto'o at 21, Ronaldinho at 20/21, Henry at 22, Raul at 19, Ansu Fati at 17, Neymar at 18, CR7 at 21. Few of them like CR7 and Henry had coaches like Ferguson and Wenger to help them with the transition into worldbeaters. The question is who can help Dembele unlock and realize his true potential with better decision-making? Unless that happens, there'd always be that gulf in class between him and Mbappe. |
Well, the good side is that we avoided Bayern Munich. Not yet in a shape to take them on without another prospect of indignity. |
9jarealist come and explain this one away o. This is what I was talking about. The cement sector is not as "open" as you have been touting it to be and the Government has had significant input (ban on cement importation, pioneer status even when the product is ineligible) into how the current model has turned out to be with Dangote having over 70% market share which is effectively a monopoly. Yet the price is the highest in Africa and does not reflect the affordable pricing objectives the Govt had in mind when they were incentivizing the industry. There's a reason the consumer protection agency was set up to avoid these kind of exhorbitant pricing situations but curiously they have been silent. In an "open" industry do you think this would have been the case? Pls don't bring up the buying of shares in dangote PLC ish cos that is an unrealistic way of adddressing the problem. This isn't about Dangote's tribe the way I see it. |
In the 13th minute against Huesca, Lionel Messi, who also equaled the club appearance record by playing his 767th game for the Catalans, opened the scoring with a pass from Sergi Busquets and another stunning long-range effort. He wrapped up the game with yet another brilliant 25 yard missile and in the process became the first player in history to score 20+ goals in 13 consecutive seasons in the top 5 European leagues. https://showsport.me/football/barcelona-messi-la-liga-22606214 Cc: Mynd44 Lalasticlala |
This is false. Tiwa savage didn't win. She was just nominated as a contributor to Coldplay's Everyday Life album which lost to Taylor Swift in the album of the year award. |
cococandy:You don't understand. The story is likely fake, but the OP cooked it up so it can end up on the frontpage. He then leaves his gayish clues all around (in the story itself, his profile pic and his previous posts) so that other gays can reach out to him codedly. It's a brilliant way of advertising himself to potential gay partners. The guy is smart sha I give that to him. |
uphena:Could you please explain how this works further? |
TheGoodJoe:My Man City friend, they might have clearly written and explained it, but it still highly unbelievable. I have an open mind. My question is: Even with low transaction fees, how the heavens will it take a whopping 4 - 5 months to confirm a sale transaction? If this is really true, then it calls into question the efficiency of a blockchain system that's been touted to outperform the official fiat banking system in efficacy, regardless of low txn fees, in a digital era. To provide context, this sounds like something out of an 18th century era, where you travel by ship/caravan from one continent to another to confirm trade deals which doesn't even take 5 months in some cases. Post-office from Europe to Africa in 1894 when first bank was introduced didn't take 5 months. In our digitized bitcoin era over 2 hundred years later, it is thus even more ridiculous! My sincere hunch is that there's a cover up of some sorts going on. It may not be outright fraud, but maybe an error they are trying to hide or something along those lines. |
Ofunwa111:Good riddance old man. The exit of mediocre hypocrites is always a welcome relief. |
obonujoker:Oh that? Of course CR is a better penalty taker and so Messi missed as usual (no arguments). But anybody who thinks one player is better/greater than another just because he is more reliable with penalties should never ever discuss football again in his life. It's just pure sacrilege! Shall we say Alan Shearer is a better player than Thierry Henry or Ronaldo De Lima? or maybe say Van Nistelrooy is better than Shevchenko, or is it Bruno Fernandes that is better than Neymar or Lampard over Kaka? Such kind of fallacious and ignorant thinking is utterly ridiculous and is a threat to the integrity of football in its purest sense. |
OJEEMAH:Brother, I understand that conclusion (which is right btw), but it's still irrelevant here. Marvel vs DC comics, Isaac Newton vs Einstein, Pele vs Maradona, Michael Jordan vs LeBron, Michael Jackson vs Beyonce, Benz vs BMW, Samsung vs Apple etc. The list of popular arguable topics is endless and no one gets paid for them, but that doesn't mean people don't talk about them, including gainfully engaged people. Check his comment well. The guy is a staunch CR fan and he is hurt by the high criticism CR received this week while Messi was not blamed much or even praised in some quarters. So he tries to cover this up by saying since both guys have been dumped out they should be blamed equally and even labelled Barca fans who don't agree with this as sick people, before concluding with the no one gets paid ish. I see through his hypocrisy and that's why I went in hard. |
Ofunwa111:Pele o. I didn't know you were this pained. How do you blame the best player on the pitch vs PSG irrespective of the penalty loss? You think the football world don't understand the value of exceptional input like you deluded CR7 fans. You think it's just by lazing around to score tap-ins? You want to compare the best player vs PSG against one of the worst players vs 10-man average Porto? Why do you think reputable sport journalists in sites like Goal.com reports it like "Messi bows out with a bolt from the blue". That's admiration and not condemnation. You think they don't know what they are saying or they didn't see him lose the penalty? You lot don't understand the concept of brilliant inputs and efforts in football and that's why the sports world don't take you guys serious in the grand scheme of things. The official football ecosystem know their GOAT and while they've dithered around the choice of whether it's Messi, Maradona or Pele, your CR can never be part of that elite conversation. Get this, CR will always be beneath Messi's feet in the GOAT conversation and there's nothing you instagram fans can do about it. Take your L and move on sir. And oh, I make money, good money in fact, but doesn't stop me from having time to discuss football issues or more cerebral topics. Now can you see how dumb that your last comment appears? |
Kingcalls:Your comment is full of lies and sentiments which is not worth my reply or time. Allow the person I quoted to respond (hopefully more sensibly). |
obonujoker:Lol, Is that all? I'm disappointed o. Very weak attack. You sure say you ready for my counter? |
obonujoker:Lol, Jokerman himself, the Great Messi Troll. Oya talk na. Isn't it a free world again ? |
OJEEMAH:You wan kill them be that na. I have a feeling all these average teams have just been saving Juve from huge embarassment if they had progressed to meet any of those big boys. |
