WallStreetfx:At least he did better against PSG, a much tougher opponent, than your bungling CR7 did against Porto as the worst player on the field, ramming into fellow teammates like blind Bartimeus and lago-ing all around. |
Beverlyjean:FYI, Messi set the same record against Cadiz on Sunday (scoring against all current La liga teams), but its not a big deal. It's very funny to see that you CR7 fans are now the ones downplaying penalties. Aren't penalties goals like every other goal no longer? Are all the defence you guys put up over the years in support of penalties hogwash now, just because Messi is the one scoring them?? Lol such blatant hypocritical lot, you all. Anyway, unlike you, we still have consistently not glorified or defended Messi's form on account of his penalties. Anyway, Messi has nothing to prove to anybody anymore, he will always be considered as the greater player than CR7, even if he retires at this moment. And there's nothing you can do about that. I'm even aware that most Real Madrid fans consider Messi a better player than your darling. Its inevitable. |
Lol, I said it, these CR7 fans are classless. Messi scores two long range bullets against Alaves last week, no dust was raised at all. Not even a topic on Nairaland cos it's nothing special for the GOAT. CR scored 2 regular headers against the bottom club in the Serie A, it becomes an headline. The difference in who is held to a higher standard is clear. |
obonujoker:What's the relationship between your statement and Messi's win? |
Beverlyjean: I agree with you for once. Osihmen is not just it abeg. Even Napoli's midfielders outscore him. |
The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has named Lionel Messi as the best men's player of the last decade. The organisation polled its members from other 150 countries around the world to find the best men's player over the last decade, including the best player for each continent. While Cristiano Ronaldo picked up the award for the UEFA region, it was Messi who triumphed globally - as well as amongst the CONMEBOL nations. The 33-year-old hasn't had a bad last ten years, picking up six La Liga titles, five Copa del Rey trophies, two Champions Leagues, and four Ballon d'Ors. Even this season, with Barcelona struggling under new manager Ronald Koeman, the Argentine has picked up 16 goals and three assists in 21 La Liga games, and four goals and two assists in five Champions League fixtures. IFFHS best players of the decade: The IFFHS also revealed a top ten for the award, 1. Lionel Messi 2. Cristiano Ronaldo 3. Andres Iniesta 4. Neymar 5. Sergio Ramos 6. Manuel Neuer 7. Robert Lewandowski 8. GianLugi Buffon 9. Zlatan Ibrahimovic 10. uglodoh:He's won it for 13 f*cking years! Why should this year be different? Definitely not betting against him ![]() |
I really enjoyed Laycon's Nobody remix performance. How come the event isn't on front page yet? |
If Lenglet is a defender, then I am the President of the United States. How guy has been scamming Koeman should be studied in the University. Even when under little defensive pressure from a lowly opponent, the guy still finds a way to commit an error. What then should we expect with the barrage of PSG attacks expected in 2 weeks plus time? I'm sure stupid Koeman will still use him in the next match. |
Nadal will carry 21 this year with French Open. Djokovic will likely get 19th GS this year, and may equalize by next year. |
Beverlyjean:Madam Beverlyjean, you've been exerting mental energy and effort on top nothing. The person you initially quoted wasn't referring to elites as in the rich and wealthy in 9ja. Rather, he meant Erica's fans who are popularly known as "Elites" ![]() You come dey form Wole Soyinka on top misinterpretation ![]() |
Haa sweet memories. Ultimate MK3 on Sega and SNES was my favorite. My favorite player for the guys was Kunglao, simply because of his impressive combo sequence which had the highest drain of blood from opponents (43%), meaning if you just collect 2 combos pere, u already in the red zone close to the afterlife. Other two guys favorite is Kabal and Scorpion. Kabal because of his outfit (Lagbaja) and his variety of beautiful combos and moves, Scorpion is cos of his gerrover here! arrow move and his leg combo(which looks like someone continuously slapping your face with his leg and there's nada u can do about it - very humiliating). Among the ladies, Jade is my fav cos she's just so elegant especially when she starts with that spinning staff combo and finishes u off with the leg combo (39% don comot be dat making her also one of the highest blood drainers with her combo). Noob SaiBaba still remains the greatest cheat of all time in UMK3. If you see a very good user of him, most times na to just submit pad and let him do his thing cos there's no point ![]() |
ojaysam25:Oga, give up on yourself first. All that one you are saying is past glory. Bring Ronaldo de lima now to Man utd and ask him to play again, would you now say he is currently better than Scott McTominay simply because he's one of the GOAT contenders? Bros think na. Currently, all of Juve's back four will displace Barca's back four with ease. In midfield, Rabiot and Federico Chiesa will displace Busquets and Pedri. It's only Frenkie De Jong that is better than his Juve counterpart in Ramsey/Bentacur or whatever. With a stronger defensive spine than Barca, Juve's team give their attack something to leverage on even if they are not firing. Barca's weak midfield and defence already puts Messi and co on the backfoot right from the start against any decent opposition. Regarding Ferencscravos or whatever, I cannot be arguing with you over a team we both just discovered their existence this champions league season. Frankly, that is beneath Messi's pay grade. Maybe not for Ronaldo and his fans wey no get levels sha . |
ojaysam25:Na u no get shame. Half of your idol's goals this season have been penalties as well, the other ones were scored against a lowly Ferencravos. Answer the question and stop beating about the bush. Why was your Ororo colliding with fellow players like a bungling Mr Bean? No goal, no assist, no key passes, no shot on target, no galvanizing, no playmaking nothing absolutely! Was the worst player on the pitch. Don't hide from that and begin to attack Messi. As average as Messi was against PSG he still did miles better against a much tougher opponent than your Ororo. You are obviously ignorant if you didnt know that Juve's players, especially midfield and defence are better than Barca's players in similar positions. |
ThierryJay:I predicted it before (per the bolded). The above was my post back in October 2020, when it was announced that we had officially entered recession. However, this increase in gross income is domiciled in a few hands. Majority of the populace are still groaning under high inflation and unemployment. |
iLegendd:Even if he made his money legally from sale of books or whatever (Frankly, I don't think this holds water because I'm not aware his books are best sellers so much as to buy 3 private jets), his primary recognized office is his Pastoral function. Therefore, it is highly insensitive and callous for a religious figure to say that he wishes for Covid 19 not to end simply because of material gains. It may be alright for you but not for a Suleiman. This his latest statement validates my belief that he is not a true man of God. |
OJEEMAH:Lol don't mind the Ronaldo ass-lickers. Now their mouths have gone FEM. If it was Ronaldo that scored a penalty and still created gilt-edge chances for his teammates to finish against PSG yesterday, they would have been singing his praises saying he still tried to carry his team on his own and he is therefore the GOAT. Against a struggling Porto side in their lowly rated league, Ronaldo went a-missing. Yet everywhere is silent. Baba was colliding with fellow teammates like blind Bartimeus, lago-ing anyhow, stepping over himself and huffing and puffing, everything Lori Iro If it was Messi that put up such a disgraceful show yesterday, he would have been killed. Obviously, Messi is held to a higher standard of brilliance.CR7 is lucky that he has more decent teammates who have still given him a chance in the second leg to progress. Messi unfortunately doesn't have that luxury. |

jpmoriarti:Barcelona need young energetic powerhouses in the midfield and central defence, like Yaya toure and Keita were btw 2009 - 2011. They need like 3 players of this nature. It will give the attackers more room to be effective as they will feed off the strong defensive spine's energy. The only strong and energetic players Barca has are Ansu fati, Greizmann and Dembele and they are all forwards. Think. Only Thomas Partey brought intensity and strength to Arsenal's midfield. Think of what two of his kind can do for Barca in the midfield and Defence. Pique, Lenglet, and Busquets should be gone. |
ddippset:And to think that I was considering Dembele to be almost as good as Mbappe cos he was more talented. Forgive me Mbappe |
obonujoker:Of course I knew that na... You people's food has been done since last season and throughout this season . Na your time.Don't worry Barca will pull through eventually. |
Lol, My Barca had just one objective to achieve yesterday, just one!: - Avoid humiliation by PSG Yet they still spread their legs wide like a woman on heat. That PSG and Mbappe will beat Barca was not in doubt, not with what I've seen over the past 6 months. It was a question of escaping the annual UCL disgrace. It wasn't supposed to be too much to ask for, but as it is, it's too much to ask for from this brittle Barca team. When you have ballet dancers in Lenglet, Pique and Busquet as defenders what else do you expect? They do stainless defending with their arms always up like a choir conductor. Even their names together sound more fit for a rhyme party. They should all retire to the ballroom please. |

27Pushing30:Not only that. See the Baale wearing worn-out dunlop slippers for a whole 4 Governors' visit. That means he normally parades around bare-footed. It's obvious who's been getting the better end of the bargain from the Shasha market between the two rulers. |
Incognito403:That same crossing and free-kick ability earned him a final-three nomination for Fifa world player of the year twice. Something no other English player has ever achieved since the awards began. Beckham may not have many abilities but the ones he has, he was the best at them.. He is a good example of doing one thing ten thousand times being better than doing ten thousand stuff a single time. |
obonujoker:Bad belle Joker ![]() |
Lol Meaning are registering Nicodemously ![]() |
paulolee:I agree with the UCL aspect sha, but that doesn't mean he hasn't earned the right to express himself. His team are currently on fire so they are actually doing the talking on the pitch, or you mean by the end of the season? |
paulolee:Spot on, it's only a matter of time before Gattuso and co gets fed up if Victor doesn't improve. |
Saka is something else. His decision making is top notch which is very unusual for such a young player. If Pepe had half his football sense he'd not be such a flop. |
paulolee:Abeg leave am make him talk. He has enough experience and achievements to make that statement. And I'm sure he must have been asked a question by aproko EPL journalists. |
paulolee:I worry for Osihmen seriously o. His play against Juventus was non-existent. He was playing like a 900thousand pounds striker rather than 70million! Very leggy, no single attempt from him in 75minutes despite being young, and he didn't even look worried about it. Why don't Nigerian strikers have a long shelf-life no matter their age? See Salah and Mane nau, going from strength to strength each season. |
