LegendHero:Haa nitori olorun, after buying 600K Iphone?? That phone sef na confam soap on hin own ![]() |
S7 Edge in 2017. Cost me N259k then. Can't spend more than 90k on a phone right now regardless of cashflow status as perspectives have changed. 90k because that's about the min. range to get a genuinely good quality non-Infinix/Tecno or any other Transsion phone ![]() |

OJEEMAH:I honestly think they never knew they'd fall into the same bucket they had been criticizing over the years i.e Messi and Pep. So they had to change mouth to save face and it looks really ridiculous. All of them are schizophrenia victims. |
Kilishihunter:Guy, you cracked me up real bad that I'm coughing ![]() I heard Iheanacho and co. dismantled over 20 bottles of Chelsea dry gin to celebrate their FA Cup win lol. |
Best dribbler right now is Messi or Neymar. Back in 2007, the best dribbler was Messi. Most skillful player in history is Ronaldinho and Maradona. |
Kingcalls:Yeye arguments. Why can't you compare 36 year old CR to 33 year old Messi? Is it Messi's fault that CR was a late bloomer such that while Messi was getting nominated for World best player at 20 years, Ronaldo had to wait until he was 23 before becoming world class. Why don't you also give Messi the credit for the 3 year headstart? Well, by your logic, Lukaku is also a better player than CR. After all, he won Inter the league in which CR was also a participant. Even Arturo Vidal left Barca and joined Inter and has now won the League. And pls tell, in how many big games did your CR score a non-penalty goal this Serie A season? Let me see how you'd weave your way out of this one. |
Kingcalls:So if you knew Ronaldo moves about, why did you then say that he wasn't going to abandon Juve a few days ago just to have a basis to spite Messi? That's a sure sign of Schizophrenia my brother or is it sister and you should get medical attention asap. You that is oozing hypocrisy is calling other people hypocritical, ahem I don't know the medical term for that condition sha FYI Most Barca fans don't say Messi can never leave but that he has been loyal (this is a fact as he has been carrying Barca since God knows when and Barca's problems had started for over 3 - 4 years now). He could have gone to Man City, PSG, Bayern or Inter Milan since then. So Messi's loyalty to Barca is never in dispute regardless of whatever reason. If he wants to leave now, after 17 years at Barca, how can that be termed abandonment by any rational person? If the above is what you are calling hypocritical, madame you need a doctor asap. |
Kingcalls:BeverlyJ, you are a chronic hypocrite o. Wasn't it just a few days ago that you were abusing Messi that he wants to take the easy way out by leaving Barca and emphasizing that Ronaldo would never abandon Juve ship even when they are at risk of not qualifying for UCL? Now you've changed tune to Baba don try abeg, bla bla bla.. See wonderment. I recall you guys used to wail that Messi should have left Barca to test other leagues, then when possibility of leaving came, your cries changed to Messi was a coward for wanting to leave a struggling Barca team. Now you are hailing CR for same thing you criticized Messi for. Your brand of confusion is premium and should be studied as a course in Universities. |
donjazet:Just checked a lot of your posts and I can see that you are indeed Mr Dikko . Your choice of words is very grammarian. You re also quite analytical. All in all, you seem very "prim and proper bookish" based on your writing. But I'm curious as to how you got so interested muscle building at such a high intensity level (heck you re looking like a male fitness IndecentStar model from your profile). And why restrict your analytical acumen to only Chelsea (99.9%) and Joe Biden (0.1%)? You should enter other sections more and dissipate! |
felix00:My bad, that's the chief culprit. I was only listing the on-field saboteurs. |
Atletico Madrid should please win their last 3 games abeg. Suarez must carry this cup. Please what does Dest add to this team. Defending he can't do. Attacking-wise na miss road crosses he dey pull. How is he different from Semedo we kicked out? Even Arsenal get better defenders than we have. Are we now that bad? |
Debroslink:This is not about Pedri. We scored 3 goals away from home. That's quite decent and I'm sure Atletico and Madrid's average goals scored away this season is not up to 3. Our Achilles heel is the abject inability to defend any winning margin we have at the back. For God's sake we scored 3 away! Let the defenders also do their job na. Your fingers should be pointed at dem Dests, Robertos, Minguezas, Umtitis, Lenglets and not a budding Pedri. |
This Koeman is bullshit o. Why bring in Sergi Roberto for injured Araujo? Now Levante easily scored cos their attacker easily bullied short Roberto to score |
oluwaseyi0:Lol I get, but you need to understand that a lot of religious people often act based on their own personal convictions and give little room to understand other's point of view. Goodluck with this your personal matter with your deacon. |
oluwaseyi0:Your comment at the emboldened is only true in an Utopian/Ideal world. In the real world, people with power/influence demonstrate that they are more special than others. George Orwells Animal Farm describes it best when he said all animals are equal but some are more equal than others. Why do you think lots of popular people congratulated Davido on the birth of his son Ifeanyi, but didn't they see the thousands of other new babies born in Nigeria at that same time to congratulate? Why do the high and mighty celebrate the birthday of their clique members on the pages of newspapers and ignore those of the regular people that they know about? Why would it be different when it's about death? Note this is evident all over the world. Even World leaders call one another to either celebrate or sympathise depending on the situation. Do they call the common people like that? You should not overlook the impact of network and class system in the way things are done in the real world. |
obonujoker:Before nko, pls look at the headline again. It reads "As things stand...." so make we troll you isi-ewu wannabes finish on that basis. Whatever happens afterwards na irrelevancy as things stand today. Messi own never bad reach this CR own, yet you guys dey troll am relentlessly, even when he does well individually. Have a worse taste of your own medicine bro. |
devvy44:Oga leave story and better go and subscribe for Startimes before e cost beyond your reach. |
The sad thing now is that Startimes price will rise like yeast as Pendu's fans besiege their decoders to watch Thursday football. Ceo David Zhang will be like: Welcome home, Cristiano.
|
OJEEMAH:CR for Ballon D'or after scoring hat trick to dismantle Betis! Meanwhile, Ronaldo getting goat shouts when he scores 4 goals each against Antioch, Thessaloniki and Galatia. His fans be like: The GOAT is conquering new territories and provinces. Even Apostle Paul sef dey learn from him obonujoker, where art thou
|
Y'all CR7 fans better start pricing Startimes now o so you can watch your GOAT on Thursday night ![]() In other news, Cristiano tears the net with his first penalty goal against Galilee FC in Europa.

lexy2014:Are you being deliberately d*mb? I just told you that the OP's comment was based on a popular JOKE about Desmond Elliot on Twitter. Yet you are asking him to PROVE a joke? Have you ever heard of the term Hyperbole? You are asking him to demonstrate how a hyperbolic joke is factually correct? Are you a 4 year old kid? I give up. Jeez! such a time-waster. |
Joromi1:That don't look like a white bitch to me o. All I see is a well bleached Naija lady. Check the knuckles. Even the son doesn't look half-caste but carries the strong physical features of his papa and mama ![]() |
lexy2014:Lol this guy and his utterly naive questions. What do they say again about people who don't get the joke when every other person in the room has? That fits you perfectly. I'm sure lots of people avoid quoting you because of your off-point comments which you often try to pathetically disguise as intelligent questioning. Anyway, to answer your question, not every comment is to be taken literally. If you are familiar with Twitter, you'd know that Desmond Elliot regularly trends there as the butt of several jokes, chief among them being the one held responsible for everything that goes wrong with everybody and everything in Nigeria. I guess this came about because of his not so impressive "projects" commissioned in his consistuency and of course his endsars debacle which he was never really forgiven for. |
Nairaland trended positively on twitter yesterday because of posts like these, in light of the unfortunate murder of Iniobong by that devilish Uduak guy. Job seekers really need to be careful. RIP Ini |
My God, what was that? These guys just messed up my evening. No creative intensity in that second half. It was like we already gave up immediately after Granada equalised. How the heavens did we bottle such a big opportunity. Umtiti got badluck men. At fault for the 2 goals on the only 2 occasions Granada attacked us meaningfully in the 2nd half. I don't blame our attack. Sometimes champions grind out 1 - 0 wins and it's fine. Our defence was at least supposed to be able to hold it together against a severely weakened Granada side. But no, twas another letdown from Umtiti and co just as they've been doing all season. If we fail to win the league, Lenglet and Umtiti should know that they are our chief saboteurs. |
Got my first salaried job at 16 years old. Was paid N1,500 per month lol. Got my first post NYSC job at 24 years old. Earned N29,000 monthly. Landed my first "proper" corporate job at 25yrs. Earned about N130,000 monthly after tax. |
Well, actually the tax credit is backed by law under the Road Infrastructure Tax Credit scheme. So in this regard, Dangote is only reaping the benefit of his investment in developing road infrastructure in Nigeria. A lot of Nigerians criticize without understanding what they are criticizing. This tax credit is also available to Flour Mills and some other private entities. |
OP the reason the focus is on Dangote is because he is the market leader by some distance and the one who pulls the strings in the cement segment. Essentially, Dangote determines the cement wholesale price even for BUA and LafargeHolcim. These other players set their prices based on pricing moves made by Dangote on cement. They dare not take the initiative in pricing because it may backfire on them cos they know Dangote wields the controlling power in that sector. I know all these because I've worked in professional capacity closely with one of Dangote's competitors. Dangote is like Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. If a team constitutes a threat to Bayern, they simply buy their best players over. Last year, Dangote easily poached Lafarge's MD, Michel Purchercos, like he was some piece of Shawarma. That gives you an indication of how powerful he is. |
jpmoriarti:While taking nothing away from Mbappe, I said it before that he finds it hard to thrive in the absence of spaces in between the lines. I recall saying that it was not a coincidence that he shined against Bayern and Barca two teams that play a high line and yield counter attacking situations to opponents. This was prime Messi's forte. |
This one is hard o. But OP you omitted Gabriel Batistuta, that's sacrilege! If long-range refers to shots scored from outside the 18-yard box, then Messi is the best as he has scored the highest number of these kind of goals since the late 20th century. However, if you are referring to long distance shots scored from 25 yards and further away, the best is between Batistuta, Frank Lampard, CR7 and Steven Gerard. I believe Gerard just about pips it as he scored several memorable long-distance goals over a considerably long period of time e.g vs ManUtd in carling cup final and another one in 2006 FA cup final. In this category, my ranking would be: 1. Gerard 2. Lampard 3. CR7 4. Batistuta 5. Sneijder 6. Gareth Bale 7. Zlatan 8. Paul Scholes 9. R.Carlos 10. Adriano/Totti Honorable mentions: Rivaldo, Coutinho, Schweinsteigger, Recoba, Riise, Insigne, Rooney, Del Piero, Ronald Koeman, L. Podolski, Hulk, Sunday Oliseh, Stoitchkov, Beckham, Pirlo, Seedorf, Kroos, Sinisa Mihaljovic Note that I'm not saying they are the hardest shooters but the most accurate long-range shooters. Hardest long-range shooters would be R.Carlos, Batistuta and Adriano. These 3 guys can kick stones like a bullet. Also, direct free-kicks are excluded in my assessment. |
