Rareoil: You know CR loves conquering new territories, so he is determined to lead Juventus into the Almighty Europa league ![]() |
ddippset:I think he was a bit exposed in the el clasico. He was soft on Benzema giving that one enough room to backheel spectacularly. Araujo stock has fallen since that match which is why Koeman refocused on Pique. Hopefully he'll regain his pre-injury form. Football can be quite unforgiving. |
temi1290:That Mingueza 5th yellow card sure pass. Just pray that it doesn't come before a crucial match. |
This is why I rarely go for all those long distance events like weddings and burials in far away states in Nigeria. It's an unnecessary risk considering the current disorganized state of the nation. I'd rather send a handsome sum of money to the event owners than to do eye-service and risk my life and my family's welfare. Imagine 9 lives wasted because of a wedding. It's not even a commensurate exchange. I'm sorry but they died for nothing! If I can't access the venue directly by air, then I'm sorry I'm not going. Bash me all you like. I also don't expect people to risk their lives for my own events. I'll understand. Shit, this brings back the awful memories of the Anyene family who lost a whopping 9 family members in the Dana aircrash while trying to attend a wedding in Lagos. |
This Tonto Dikeh is an idiot o and very tactless. A celebrity allegedly committed rape of a minor. Instead of focusing your justice campaign on Baba Ijesha alone, you are now tagging #YORUBASACTOR upandan beside the tag #Rape everywhere. You then followed it up by emphasizing "he's a yoruba actor and I don't even know him". Is that not blatant tribalism? How do you expect the industry not to react? Why the focus on Yoruba and not only on Baba Ijesha? I just see her publicity as a noise-making venture. Let the serious organizations take up the case and enforce justice and not some Social Media Charlatans like Tonto who just want to chase clout. |
FirstbornWds: , You mean if CR joins Barca, Hulk will support Barca over Madrid in El Clasico? I can imagine the mental conflict he'll experience in such a case.Don't really get the history behind Purple's love for memes cos I'm relatively recent on this thread. |
ddippset:Even De Jong doesn't make any rash tackle anymore over the past few games cos he's also on 4 yellow cards. On 50-50 balls, baba just dey leave am for opponent, to avoid stories that touch. Messi's case is helped by the fact that he's a forward and really doesn't need to make any tackle, so he may not get any card till season end. Hopefully he avoids any unnecessary arguments with referees and opposing players alike. |
FirstbornWds:Lol they should become Cules then, so they'd be happy with the standings |
Reminds me of the Russian Kursk submarine disaster in August 2000. Newly elected Putin and his Government were heavily criticized by the international community for their shoddy response to the emergency situation. About 118 souls were lost in the tragedy. For submarine accidents, it's absolutely crucial to have rescue intervention within 48 hours of the incidence. RIP to the lost souls. |
Wow wow, It's hard to believe that Barca now has a realistic chance of winning the league. From a total write-off in December to title favorites in May. We fans may say all we want and nitpick on the tinier details of the team's shortcomings every matchday, but what we cannot deny is that Koeman has turned this team into the most consistent winning machine among the top four teams for the past four months, and this is what I believe gives Barca the edge over RM and ATM during this final lap of games. Someone said the table will look like this come end of May: 1. Barca 2. Atletico 3. Sevilla 4. At least we beat Barca home and away ![]() |
theTranslator: See this d*mbo trying to save face after being called out. Oga you never explain how hanging lake Colorado still qualifies as a suspended lake after having a waterfall drain into it while it also drains underground. You conveniently ignored that because it exposes your cluelessness on this subject. I repeat myself, does hanging lake Colorado not have a path of drainage? How come it is the only other suspended lake in the world ? By contrast, Blea water is a stagnant water body that does not drain off through any river or underground. It's obvious your analytical reasoning is non-existent, that's why you keep screaming google google to hide under. Unfortunately google would even expose your ignorance further rather than help you. Please reply with another dumb response and let me finish you off. If you are unable to reply logically, feel free to insult; to cement your knucklehead status. |
Santiago123:Bros, just stick with your belief. Even Eden Hazard has better dribbling stats that Ronaldinho at some point. Fabregas sef gets assists and goals stats pass Iniesta. Adama Traore get dribble stats pass Zidane. To each his own. But o ga o. |
theTranslator:If you are the best in geography in your school then I'm sorry to say that you and your school are an epic embarassment to the geographic science sphere. Instead of you to sit down and learn, you are arguing blindly like stupidity is your trademark. The corrie lake I showed you is an isolated lake by the top side of a mountain/hill. It does not have any river connecting to it. It is in a Cirque which used to be the source of a glacier, thus there is no river/water table feeding it. It's only rain/melted snow that goes into it. In addition, Blea water does not drain down as a source to another river. It is completely isolated which invalidates your inaccurate claim. Even when it's obvious and being proven to you that there are many isolated water bodies on hill or mountain tops that don't have tributaries, feeders or drainers, you will still go ahead to spew rubbish all in the name of best student in geography. Meanwhile your hanging lake in Colorado (below) even has a waterfall flowing into it yet invalidating your baseless claim again. So how is it still a suspended lake (as you claim) when it has a waterfall inflow and also flows underground outwards? Second pic below is Blea water lake showing how it's completely encircled and drain does not drain into any river neither does it have any river feeding it. Olodo Rabata

What you posted does not make it true. It's a writeup by a Nigerian tabloid (Cable.ng) that google regurgitated. If the definition of suspended lake is a body of stagnant water on a hill or mountain? Does a crater lake not meet this criteria? Is it not on top of a mountain? Is it not stagnant? Isn't it a body of water? Since it meets all these qualities, it is also suspended (in fact, even at a higher height cos it's at the very top). FYI, there are many crater lakes all around the world. Also, there are many isolated lakes on mountains formed by melted glaciers These are called Corrie/Cirque lakes and they meet all the above criteria as well. |
theTranslator:You call what you posted research? A writeup by a Nigerian tabloid (Cable.ng) that google regurgitated? Do you even know that your own statement above can be brought up by google to someone else. Imagine if that person now holds on to your statement as facts from research?? I repeat, if the definition of suspended lake is a body of stagnant water on a hill or mountain? Does a crater lake not meet this criteria? Is it not on top of a mountain? Is it not stagnant? Isn't it a body of water? Since it meets all these qualities, it is also suspended (in fact, even at a higher height cos it's at the very top). FYI, there are many crater lakes all around the world. Are you also aware that there are many isolated lakes on mountains formed by melted glaciers? These are called Corrie/Cirque lakes and they meet all the above criteria as well. Pls research well before you continue to display absolute ignorance on this subject. And why is it that it's the ignorant ones that are quick to insult people. Imagine this one with horrible knowledge gap calling me stupid?? It is well o. Only 2 suspended lakes kwa? I laugh in Swahili. See an example of a Corrie Lake (Blea water) below. Pls tell me it's not suspended.

theTranslator:That claim cannot be true. Crater lake in Oregon,US is a very big lake at the very top/mouth of an Old volcanic mountain. And there are many lakes all over the world that accumulated in craters of expired volcanos. Based on your explanation, they are all suspended lakes. I think the claim about the Iyake lake is only to reinforce the legend around it. Its totally false. |

This is sad. Reminds me of "the Kursk" Russian submarine disaster in August 2000. The Russian Government were heavily criticized for the incident. |
Santiago123:If we are to go by stats. Shebi Neymar has surpassed Ronaldo De Lima's number of goals for Brazil na. Why are you not saying he is kukuma better than or comparable to the Phenomenon? Or that he is even better than Pele when he surpasses Pele's goals record for Brazil (just about 7 goals to break Pele's record I believe) Guy, you are mixing lies and half-truths and using it to promote this your laughable agenda. Who told you Messi has never got more than a 9.5 overall rating on Whoscored when he has got SEVERAL 10.0 ratings in the past Even since 2015, Messi has had way more total number of assists than Neymar so how could you say Neymar matched Messi on a creative level?? You say Neymar had his best dribbling statistic in his first season in France, why wouldn't he when he went to a lower quality league? But how do you know that Messi has never reached an average 7.1 dribbles per game? Need I remind you that during Messi's best dribbling years between 2007 - 2009, this statistic was not being compiled as at then. In the four years that Neymar spent in Barca and La liga, he only topped the dribbling statistic twice while Messi also topped it twice. So how was his dribbling statistic better than Messi's when they were in the same league? Are you telling me that if you have the option of having a prime Ronaldinho (2003 - 2006) in your team and Neymar of any time, you'd think twice before making a choice? I can't recall Neymar being ever nominated for Ballon D'or or Fifa World Best, meaning that he is still an unfulfilled potential like Hazard. That is who you are comparing to a Ronaldinho who ruled the world for 3 years as its supreme player and who some fans even believe is the GOAT. Statistics is not always the best yardstick for assessing players especially if they are in different positions/eras. Of course you can always compare any player. Indeed nothing stops you from comparing Pius Ikedia with Diego Maradona since they are both players. But then, that's where the comparison ends. Go and ask Ronnie for forgiveness bro. |
Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd have announced that they'd pull out of the Super League following backlash from fans. Barcelona as well is likely to pull out. Sorry Perez, the dream couldn't even last for 2 days. |
jpmoriarti: ![]() I remember back in 2011 when Barcelona and Madrid played about 7 classicos in that year which included 4 clasicos within the space of about 3 weeks. By the time of the 4th match-up, the excitement of Barca playing Madrid had visibly reduced among the fans and pundits alike. I can then only imagine how it would be in the scenario you painted above ![]() |
obonujoker: You are not serious. I hear CR7 sef is vigorously lobbying for Faroe Islands and Greenland inclusion in ESL. |
sgtponzihater1:I'm sure you don't really mean that comment. How can? The voice is so clear ahead in quality of contestants, judges and even the stage. Case in point the Deloye guy that was rejected on the Voice was chosen subsequently on Idols. I am sure that almost all the contestants that the Voice judges did not turn for or pick would have made it through on Nigerian Idols. The only area where Idols is better than Voice is in providing comical relief, which it has in abundance. |
Superpower:The guy was a real security risk judging by his high looks. I genuinely felt afraid for the judges while he was performing. Looked like someone that could pull a gun on them. |
My assessment of the 3 judges is as follows: Seyi Shay: She is actually the most competent of the lot as much as she is the most vilified. Also, she is very open regarding her thoughts and on the rare occasion where she says yes to a contestant because of bias, she actually owns up to the bias i.e looks, personality etc. However, her cynical laughs while contestants were performing during the earlier phase of the auditions were very unprofessional. She improved on this as the show wore on. She could also learn the art of not using absolute terms to describe unsuccessful contestants cos she doesn't know the future e.g you can NEVER make money by singing. Obi Asika: I like him the most cos of his mature amiable demeanour. But he never seemed to have his own opinion. Always deferring to Seyi or Sose. Heard "like Seyi said, Like Sose said" thousands of times from him already. It's sickening. "There's a voice or something in there somehow, but like Seyi said.." Dammit! Own up to your own thoughts man. But he improved a bit in this area during the last session. DJ Sose: This guy successfully deceived me into thinking he knew about the technical aspect of music. As the show wore on it became obvious that he was a rookie. I've seen many a technically bad vocal performance, and you'd see Sose nodding his head along sweetly in approval. Then when Seyi blurts out the catastrophic aspects of the song, Mr Sose will then change tune to "Hmmm..You've got some lungs in there, but you're not Idol material" Biko are you a tailor? |
cyndylove64:You need to understand that Seyi Shay's harshness is deliberately scripted to create controversy which engages the public. That has always been Nigerian Idol's M.O. Remember Dede Mabiaku who also used to "skin contestants alive" during Idols 2007. Simon Cowell was also rude. Back in 2005, he told Jennifer Hudson on American Idols "You look like a turkey rapped in a bale of cloth" in reference to her plump not-so-sexy figure. J.Hudson is now a global star, but that has not diminished Simon. It's a selling point for the Idols franchise, to have a rude blunt judge and other more agreeable ones. |
