Have you good people ever thought about the nature of false signals? I mean why do they appear in charts? I think the key issue here is divergence. When a trend is constant, and the number of buyers exceeds the number of sellers constantly, technical indicators start shifting the middle range to higher values. And when a short-term rebound happens, people start comprehending that signal as a reversal, but that’s just a retracement. I’ve seen many times when a fake reversal signal comes in before a sideways range with no clear direction. Once indicators are reloaded, the trend continues like nothing happened. I’m talking about 4- and 1-hour charts of multiple currency pairs.

This is exactly what makes me confused with technical analysis. I mean I have a strategy with MACD, RSI and MAs. It works fine, I can understand all of the steps of the trading algorithm, all of the conditions of signals. The only concern is the number of signals as they are quite rare. So I need to look at other assets and different indicators. But if I take other indicators, I just can’t differentiate fake signals from real ones. How do you make the conclusion whether the price action you see is just a rebound or a total reversal of the previous trend?

That is such kind of situation when nobody is to blame. I can understand the girl who did her utmost to get to this really historic moment for her country's national team. Especially, if we take into account the fact that the British are mad about football. I’ve been testing several strategies on a demo account. I agree that channel indicators might have false signals, especially on short-term timeframes and currency pairs with low liquidity.
I wonder if they will work in the same way with the FTT type of trading?

The H4 chart is too slow for my trading strategy based on fast and sensitive oscillators. Signals are rare and I need to hold positions for so long. The MT4 platform has adjustable settings for technical indicators, and it’s possible to find interesting combinations to filter the noise and increase the accuracy of signals. I use a Stochastic oscillator with modified settings of 13 and 5 periods, a Chaikin oscillator with lower overbought and oversold thresholds, and default RSI. Timeframes are 15 minutes, 30 minutes and 1 hour. I trade on EUR/GBP, AUD/CAD and GBP/CHF with pretty nice results.

I think I need to test these strategies on a demo account since I never traded with such assets. Thanks guys. I’m also considering channel indicators like Bollinger Bands, Keltner channels… But again, they do not work with all of the currency pairs. I have an impression that liquidity and volatility have a great impact on the type of technical instruments to use for the analysis and signals.

I have found an interesting strategy for the Forex type of trading in the Olymp Trade MT4. It suggests rare entries and quite a long-term positioning on major currency pairs. The technical indicators include MACD, RSI and moving averages with different periods. The main timeframe to watch is H4. But it’s worth having a look at the daily and hourly charts as well. I’ve tried it with EUR/USD, GBP/USD and USD/CHF. As a result, the percentage of my profitable deals jumped to 70%. Does anyone have the experience of dealing with this strategy on exotic pairs? I can see higher volatility there.

There have beem so many things about how you should've your partner if they do this and tha but sometimes you have got to understand that it is part of life. You can chose to deal with those things and get your life back in order. You should not always run away from everything for sometimes you may end up running forever. You have got to be strong.
