Is it due to the late night's and traveling around the world?

Can it be because of the young girls and dirty secrets rich men keep?

Could it have been because mama dangote wants the young boys to keep servicing her on daily?
So you mean Dangote was the richest man in Nigeria at that time when he married her at his own age of 20yrs?

Just like Obasanjo, Peter Obi is another who has been in a position to redefine politics and government either at the state or federal level, yet they only acquired wisdom after they left office.

Even the clueless Jonathan too forgets he was once a useless president and wants to give advice or political sophistries.

I predict Buhari too would become full of wisdom only after he has become irrelevant to influence a positive change.

It seems some people are too blind to understand the difference between different types of make-up, or between make-up and none of it.

Some do not understand the effect of incident light on human skin while taking pictures. More still, some believe there should be no obvious comparison between photo technology of the 90's versus the current time.

If I am to show 3 of my pictures taken at different years and different time of the day with different incident light, many would either say I have later bleached or I have later tanned. Yet I don't even use any cream at all, not even baby oil, nor do I bake my skin in the sun.

I intend to do a throwback expose series before the end of the year, just like the little excerpt below, where the rot, nepotism and tribalism of the 1960 independence government will be unearthed for the enlightenment of every Nigerian.

But in the case of Orizu, who was the intellectual proponent of Zikism, Mbonu Ojike, Azikiwe, Mbadiwe started to entrench the false narrative that Orizu was convicted by the British colonial government not for embezzlement but as a revenge for his fiery anti-colonial speech given at the 1947 Enugu Coal riots rally. Never mind that more important figures such as H.O. Davies also gave fiery speeches at the rally too but were not fraudsters hence not fated for conviction by the colonial government. But in the case of Orizu, colonialism became the excuse for a crook to be turned into a national hero. Azikiwe made Orizu whole by nominating him unopposed to represent Nnewi in the Federal elections of 1959 that ushered in self-rule.

The existence of colonialism provided Nigeria’s moral system the perfect excuse to develop and strengthen the disdain for the objective perception of value on which any civilised society must rest. When colonialism expired in 1960, the disdain remained alive and thriving through the force of habit. In 1961 for instance, Dr Okejukwu Ikejiani, the pro-chancellor of University of Ibadan was caught lying about a certificate he never had. A visiting scholar from University of Toronto who happened to be from the same department which allegedly awarded Ikejiani’s certificate was the first to point out that Ikejiani never had that esteemed Doctor of Science degree. Ibadan erupted and there were calls for Ikejiani to resign and be prosecuted. To Azikiwe who was the head of government, the visitor to the university and in charge of such appointments, Ikejiani was being “persecuted” because he, Azikiwe, had dared to appoint an other Igbo after Francis Ibiam as the Pro-chancellor and head of the governing council of a flagship Federal University in a non-Igbo region in particular when the Vice chancellor was already an Igbo. Before departing Toronto University where he rightly earned his undergraduate medical degree, Ikejiani seduced and frequently unhooked the lovely secretary at the Vice Chancellor’s office until she embossed a Doctor of Science certificate in his name complete with authentic signatures but with no education behind it. After the Toronto University investigation into the matter, the secretary realised her wrongdoing and quietly accepted her dismissal. But that was Canada. In Nigeria, one of the criteria of eligibility for being considered a national hero was to be a bonafide crook. When Ikejiani was forced to finally resign, being a medical doctor, Azikiwe made him whole like Orizu by appointing him to the State House as one of his personal physicians. He was not done: Azikiwe then reappointed him again to his former unfilled post less than two years later. He still was not done: In 1964, Azikiwe decorated him with the national honour – Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) – pun unintended – ‘for his service to the nation.’ If anyone is interested in why Nigeria ended up being a pit latrine of implacable corruption where intelligence cannot assert itself in the conduct of public affairs, the Orizu and Ikejiani Affair is where to begin. Azikiwe put into disorder all considerations based on value. And the absence of the objective perception of value produced the will to tribalism which eliminated the prospect of any meaningful progress for the nation.

Had the ministers who came to Orizu for the swearing-in request been from his party NCNC, had the candidate they presented been Ozumba Mbadiwe, Orizu would never foot-dragged or pretended to be calling Azikiwe on a phone that lacked dialling tone. Ironsi too would have looked the other way, gone back to his subordinate officers and inform them that according to their code of conduct, the military must aid civilian power not to take over it. Orizu who claimed he needed Azikiwe’s consent before considering swearing in Dipcharima would later publicly hand over the government to Ironsi without the need for Azikiwe’s consent. The Northern soldiers saw through all these phonies and they quietly fumed.

The most important learning point is that one should never be deceived by the crocodile tears of hypocrites who in one breath daily lament about marginalization, yet in another breath gloat about how they dominated public office by employing keduism that is misconstrued as meritocracy.

One chronic Igbo supremacist that calls himself a journalist, even had the nerve to state that the successive Igbo School Council chairmen working with an Igbo Principal in UI, ran the school well until it was taken over by Yorubas. In essence the Igbos were meant to rule in University of Ibadan forever, and I reckon they are so great in administration that we have seen how they later turned the SouthEastern universities to Ivy League schools in comparison to SouthWestern universities.

If they had their way, only Igbos would have remained as school council chairman even after the first 3 consecutive Igbos, but thankfully they self destruct when they overreached themselves with the military coup of Jan 1966. They would have found another Igbo to replace Kenneth Dike, or look outside the qualified Nigerians as they already threatened.
By now, they would have populated themselves such that only Igbos would be employed in any federal university.

I repeat, the unity school is not a school for the academically gifted.

You obviously do not know that a high cut off is a function of high scores by candidates from their respective states.

I'll try to simplify the process of determining cut off marks to you. I'm not saying it is word perfect, but it suffices.

If Anambra has a slot for 25 and the least score of the 1st 25 is 60, then cut-off becomes 60 for Anambra to fill its own quota.
If Sokoto has a slot for 25 and the least score of the 1st 25 is 15, then the cut-off becomes 15 for Sokoto to fill its own quota.

Pleease, please and please, how has Sokoto cheated Anambra when Anambra fixed its own high scores by internal competition between fellow Anambrarians for their state slot, and by virtue of its academic superiority to Sokoto?
I am sure this is about my 8th thread over the last 5years were this issue has been debated.

The Igbos do not understand the purpose of the unity school project by the federal government, because their greed would not allow them. Yet they will still gloat that they are doing better academically, as though the quota system was deliberately designed to keep the Igbos out of school when all states already have their quota in just this unity school system.

An outsider hearing their lamentation would believe that the quota system is applicable to the totality of secondary education in Nigeria.

The useless Ohaneze will still lament next year again, and the clansmen will be sure to chorus it everywhere like a hungry child. Those of us who are objective would also be ever alert to educate the unenlightened, so as to ensure no child is left behind.

At the end of the day, I made a factual point that turned their joy to sorrow. While you are gloating about an Igbo ICC president in 2018 that is inferior, we Yorubas already had a superior World Court/ICJ President in 1982 without making noise.

No proud Igbo has been able to meet up to the challenge I gave when your fellow clansman made an outlandish claim that while Igbos were receiving education, Yorubas were illiterate farmers.

I first reminded the clown that Igbos did not even have a secondary school until 1925, many decades after many towns had secondary schools.

Then came my challenge that he-she clown should name 10 Igbo Lawyers and 10 Igbo Doctors contributing to the growth of Igboland before 1900, while I will name 20 of each discipline for the Yorubas before 1900.

I was forced to reduce it to 5each, and then later just 3 university graduates in Igboland as at 1900, just so that the clown can save face and redeem some pride.

Till today, no single boastful Igbo has been able to meet up to a challenge that is mission impossible. Considering that there were many Yoruba Lawyers, Doctors, Engineers and even a Mathematics university graduate before same 1900, who I reckon were the illiterate farmers at a time the Igbos were already advancing in an imaginary education.

I hereby throw you the very same challenge but to mention just 2 Igbo university graduates in Igboland as at 1900, seeing you are also a proud, boastful and delusional Igbo.

Yes that is the purpose of education, but the unity school as well as my AU illustration, have a purpose to foster unity at a tender age. And the component states/nations must have representation for it to achieve that goal of its foundation.

While the very brilliant within the programme, stimulate the academic development of the very dull who are now exposed to a better level of academic competition.

The Unity School is a specific project. They are not the only secondary schools in Nigeria. Same goes for my African Union illustration. Nigeria can foolishly chose to focus on what poor scores are scored in Sudan, rather than rejoice in its own superior academic standard and just play their own part in the project. Nigeria should not be craving to have more than it has been allocated because she has higher cutoff marks, just like the others have their own allocations.

Enjoy what you can out of a Federal Unity School project that is not mandatory, as the alternative exist and is even more prevalent.

I think it is high time this system is revisited. If it were not for the killing spirit in the Hausa/Fulani,I really pity them too but they have really affected Nigeria negatively, if I must say.
The only quota system I support is with the federal unity school, for the purpose for which it was established. They are too insignificant to prevent any Nigerian from having a secondary education if one does gain admission to the school.

For choosing to apply to this government project, you get subsidised education, but also help to pull other students up as your personal contribution, while the academically poor students get the benefit of superior academic competition they hitherto were not used to.

As someone rightly opined, it is the same WAEC that we all write and you must eventually make your 5 credits to move on with your academic life as your brain can empower you. I do not support quota system as a technique in recruiting to government offices or positions, as we must have the best person that fits the job to be done.

Those who do not support the Federal Unity School project and its quota system to ensure fairness, can always move on to standards they feel entitled to and can afford.

Allow everybody to gain admission at will. It's individuals that go to school and not states. "The admission slots have already been shared fairly among all the states even before the exams are written." Did you just say 'shared fairly'?
Dude, you cannot allow everybody to gain admission at will in a school that the purpose for its creation is to bring diverse Nigerians together.

Don't confuse yourself with what the Unity federal schools are. They are a government project to foster national unity in the aftermath of the civil war.

So the slots are already allocated for fair/equal representation both for unity and to enjoy federal subsidy equally, but the Igbos don't want that as they are demanding that the slot of others should be given to them after already fulfilling their own slots.

Is it that the Igbos don't have money for regular secondary schools that do not enjoy federal subsidy? Or are there no state schools and private schools to attend all over the country?

What is the obsession with craving for what belongs to others when you already have yours secured?

The first African Judge at ICJ/World Court was Isaac Forster of Senegal. Even your fellow clansmen revealed that information themselves while trying to disprove me.

Secondly, the thread was about an Igbo being president of the ICC and not just a judge. So I countered with a Yoruba who was also President of a superior ICJ/World Court, and he was the first African to hold such an esteemed judicial position.

At no time did I ever say Taslim Olawale Elias was the first African or Nigerian Judge at ICJ. No he was not.

What is my business discussing judges when your clansmen were gloating about their own President. Did anyone gloat when the same Chile Osuji was just a judge at ICC as I suppose he was before he became president?

It is an unreasonable demand because the schools were not set up for excellence but to bring together Nigerians from diverse backgrounds. If on the basis of Merit that cannot be achieved then the schools should close because it is not the Federal government's role to provide secondary education.

The same argument would apply if the African Union or United Nations decide to establish a secondary school for UNITY.

it would have to be a quota system entity otherwise some countries would not appear and others would be overrrepresented.

The issue of merit and mediocrity is totally irrelevant.
This is less that 0.01 % of the secondary school provision in the country. There are are many alternatives.
Indeed this analysis is very apt.

Imagine the AU establishing such subsidised schools in a couple of countries in Africa, and allocating slots of 25 admissions fairly to each African country every year. They all write the same exams and Nigeria scores very high, as well as Ghana and South Africa.

Then Nigeria begins to lament every year as to why Nigeria's cut off mark is 90 while that of Sudan or Rwanda is 35.

Whose fault is it that your own cutoff mark is high to fulfill your own already allocated slots and what is your greed towards the slots already dedicated to Sudan?

If Nigeria is not satisfied to fulfill its own slot in the programme designed to bring African kids together, then let Nigeria get out of the programme, as there are many other schools within Nigeria and Africa that Nigerian kids can enrol and pay fees that are not subsidised, and where admission is strictly by merit.

What ohanaeze simply wants is that the same cut off mark should apply to all states of the federation, mediocrity should be discouraged in all forms.this quota system will still chunk out half baked judges and doctors that may handle ur issue someday and u know what that means.
That is not possible because the cutoff marks are a reflection of the individual marks scored in each state, for which kids are in competition with fellow kids from their own state alone.

The admission slots have already been shared fairly among all the states even before the exams are written. So what you eventually see as cutoff mark is what each state requires to fulfill the already assigned slots.

If Ohaneze is not happy that the cutoff mark is high in Abia or Anambra, they should ensure that Igbo kids answer only the 10% of the questions in the exam. With the prevalence of marks such as 7,8,9,10, it is certain that the cutoff mark would also be low like in the North, and the Igbo kids would still get admitted with such low marks as they are competing within each Igbo state alone.

That way nobody feels cheated, as no one is even being cheated now.

I repeat, the very low cutoff in Yobe or Jigawa, has not prevented any Igbo boy or girl from gaining admission, because the cutoff is state specific, for already allocated state slots prior to exam.

The unity school has a purpose, but Ohaneze has chosen to turn it into a competition. The goal of the federal government is to bring diverse people in a country together as early as possible in their development. If you choose to partake in this project, you get subsidised education, which by federal objective, must be evenly spread to benefit all states.

Ohaneze is only being greedy and looking over the neighbour's fence, when they should face their own enclave and continue to aspire to be better.

I thought the essence of these schools is to bridge the gap but over the years it has contributed negatively to the detriment of the entire State, Region and the Society.
If a particular system is creating a negative outlook, I think normal people would scrap it out and come up with something more robust and affirmative. Truth is ,unity school admission cut off point is akin to a welfare system where some lazy ass people won't bother to work after all they are just fine with the stipend they get from the Government.
If it is believed that the unity school project of the federal government has not helped to foster unity or helped the North grow academically with the forceful support of the academically advanced South, then the project should be declared a failure and scrapped.

If this is done, everyone returns to his village and attends the school that the parents can afford and for which the child is brilliant enough to get admitted into.

That is my life and the life of many millions like me. We did not attend a unity school, nor did we enjoy a federal education subsidy.

Then, you also tried to mislead people because an Igbo man was appointed President of ICC. These are the few that I have taken note of. I am sure there may be others. Why are you this bigoted? Are you a yoruba moslem? Reasonable and good people of the Southwest are tired of mediocrity and quota system. It is largely why it is all motion without Movement in Nigeria. Imagine a President whose WAEC is still in doubt. Imagine a President who joined the army with a written note from his principal! Nigeria is over 50yrs post independence. Are you saying we should continue like this? Till when? You are an enemy of this country and you shall reap the evil and hatred you are sowing. Let me rest my case.
I am a Yoruba Catholic. I hope your permutations have been defeated now.

The other day, I proved how meritocracy was sacrificed to ensure that only an Igbo will become the first African Principal of UI. And the Igbo man in question was told point blank by the Igbo School Council Chairman, that if he reject the appointment, they will rather give the position to a foreigner. This was despite having a more qualified and senior Yoruba professor as the most senior African on the very Academic Board that the Principal ought to have been appointed from. My case on that matter is closed.

Then Igbos who got their egos bruised saw an opportunity to gloat over the appointment of a fellow Igbo as ICC president, and they ensured to mention me to come see. I ended their joy by letting them know that a Yoruba man called Taslim Olawale Elias, was already the first African President of the superior ICJ/World Court, as far back as 1982. This hurt the clansmen so much that they permanently relocated to the internet cloud looking for any contrary information to save face, trying to disprove my factual assertion with lies that I punctured without mercy to them.

You are a very greedy fellow for wanting to take slots that have been assigned to the North. For God's sake, you have your own dedicated slots in the unity schools just as every other state does. The academic advancement of your state only ensures that the cut off mark will be high between the many brilliant kids jostling for the slots already assigned to the state.

Just as the academic decadence in Zamfara ensures that very low marks scored by the kids there, result to very low cut off marks to fulfill admission slots already assigned to Zamfara.

I repeat, attending a federal subsidised unity agenda school is not by force.

You either get out or you get with the programme.

This is where I now ask if you are a greedy emotional Igbo who feels marginalized that he has not been allowed to take what belongs to others?

Are Unity schools the only secondary schools in Nigeria, such that the insignificant percentage of federal unity schools were such quota system is practiced, limits the secondary education chances of a brilliant boy or girl from Abia state?

Do you understand the concept of a federal subsidy, which unity schools enjoy via a subsidised quality education, and the need to ensure that such federal subsidy is evenly distributed across the states of the country?

I totally reject quota system in the recruitment of useful workforce for the Nigerian Civil Services, but I totally support quota system for the purpose for which the unity schools were set up to forcefully bring together Nigerians from all the nook and crany to learn together and understand each others culture and inherently employ the academic greatness of some regions to uplift the academic decadence of other regions.

If you do not appreciate the purpose of the unity school and do not intend to contribute to its goals and agenda, please kindly enrol your brilliant kids in a school for only like minds, like culture, and like brilliance. But be ready to pay the hefty fees without any federal subsidy.

Every boy or girl from Abia or Imo or Ogun or Katsina, is only in a competition to outperform the boy or girl from his own state only. It is such intrastate competition that ensure some states have very high cutoff marks and some states have very low cutoff marks. No boy with low marks from Sokoto has prevented the girl from Anambra from gaining admission as there are dedicated slots for each state.

Eventually, the North is never able to fulfill its own quota as many will still not honour the admission, ensuring that quite a sizeable amount of admission slots previously dedicated to the Northern states, will eventually return to the South to be fulfilled.

Ohaneze should stop looking over the fence, craving for what does not belong to it.

Unity school is not by force. I did not attend one, yet I made it in life.

No problem with that.

When Yoruba women were achieving many first before independence, what were Igbo women doing?

They were busy in Igbo land shaving the heads of widows.
