shallysgirl:It is your brothers who called me on page 1 that were feeling inferior. They wanted to gloat but I made them agonize over their inferior achievement. Some even went online digging for information to disprove my factual assertion, they tried their luck with lies that I punctured. They were last sighted changing from one browser and one search engine to another still looking for information. I can assure you that they will be stuck in the internet cloud forever. |
shallysgirl:Yes that is news for today, for today you nearly caught up, but nearly isn't good enough. And if you do not know, he will serve his 3year tenure and move on like everyone else does. When you catch up with the presidency of world court/ ICJ, we will celebrate with you when you finally meet us on the other side where we have been waiting since 1982. |
NuclearBomber:You are far higher and greater, yet your first lawyer Louis Mbanefo qualified in 1935 when many Yorubas had already been lawyers before 1900? Catch-up is your destiny. You are far higher, yet the first Igbo doctor Akanu Ibiam qualified in 1934, many decades after multitudes of Yoruba doctors before 1900. When Yoruba Doctors and Engineers were working in the colonial service as professionals before 1900, the few educated Igbos who were literate enough to read and write, were working as clerks in far flung places in the North where they could be useful without competition from the locals. Those who could not read and write were working as domestic servants to the British in the West and Lagos, who were sure that documented matters of state could not be comprehended by your forebears. When multitudes of secondary schools were already established in Yorubaland and even Calabar, the first secondary school in Igboland was established in 1925. I once gave a challenge to a boastful Igbo who made an outlandish claim that when Igbos were educated, Yorubas were illiterate farmers. I asked that she should name 10 Igbo Doctors and 10 Igbo Lawyers before 1900, and I will name 20 each for the Yorubas before 1900. Eventually I reduced it to 5 and then just 3 university graduates from Igbo land who were contributing to their society before 1900. Till today, no proud Igbo including the one that boasted, have been able to mention just 3 Igbo university graduates as at 1900 when Yoruba Doctors, Lawyers and Engineers were illiterate farmers and contributing their professional services to their Yoruba communities. Maybe you will be brave enough to undertake this mission impossible, since you also know how to boast. |
LaudableXX:Don't mistake the lesser and recently created ICC for the ICJ/World Court. The Igbo Chile Osuji has been appointed president of the ICC not the esteemed World Court/ICJ. |
BrutalJab:I eventually removed the president or head of ICJ claims from your mouth, so you are now willing to settle for who was judge first, yet it wasn't an African feat as you already mentioned Isaac Forster who was the first African Judge on the ICJ, while Elias was the first African President and head of ICJ. And I did not bring myself here as I was mentioned on 2 comments by Igbos on the first page, who were gloating and wanted me to be a witness as I had bruised their ego on the thread where Kenneth Dike was discussed. Even those who mentioned me would now wish they never did, as I once again ridiculed their lesser achievement with the fact of Taslim Olawale Elias' superior achievement far back in 1982. In a struggle for a throwback to historical feats, think wisely before you engage me, or attempt to debate me with your fictions. I will sting you dead, but you would have gained enlightenment like you eventually did, however mentally handicapped you are. |
Gassa007:Yes Isaac Forster was also a judge before Onyema and Elias, but never the President like Elias. I doubt if any African has been able to reproduce the feat of Taslim Elias. |
undisputedgbola:I have set some of them on a journey of no return. They have been searching for information painstakingly, trying to disprove the superior accomplishment of a Yoruba man as the first ever African to be president and head of the more superior ICJ. They have been reading the same information I have read years ago, but their minds is playing tricks on them, and making them embarrass themselves before me as I puncture the fables they have presented to nullify my assertion on Taslim Elias' yet to be equaled achievement. |
Gassa007:Yes he served as a judge, but was he ever president of that same ICJ/World Court and thereby created a feat like Taslim Elias, that no African had achieved or reproduced till today? So you now thank me for the enlightenment. |
BrutalJab:Stop telling me Onyema headed ICJ. Onyema was never president of ICJ. Stop arguing with the sane world, and inventing an history that only exist in your delusional mind. Onyema's role in ICJ stopped at the vice president level at best. As such, he could never have headed a court that had a president. I know it pains you to look stupid after boasting that another is stupid because of your own lack of comprehension while reading basic English grammar. Continue to fight aimlessly with history. Besides, Isaac Forster was just a judge of the ICJ not the President. What manner of retard am I even debating with? And I repeat again to your agony and misery, that Taslim Olawale Elias, a Yoruba man, was the first African president of ICJ/World Court. Continue searching aimlessly all over the internet for contrary information to redeem your bruised ego. One day you will finally get there. |
undisputedgbola:Dude, you cannot awaken a man pretending to be asleep. Let them continue with their idiocy that can never alter historical fact. |
BrutalJab:Dude, stop reading your text upside down and admit your are wrong. No one is debating that Onyema was once a vice-president of ICJ. I am telling you that no Igboman has yet to accomplish the feat of Elias as President of the ICJ/world court, no matter how hard you wish it to be. Elias was the first African President of ICJ. No matter how long you tell yourself a lie to convince yourself, it can never become truth. Go back and read the profile of Onyema and search in vain for when he ever became president of ICJ. See the below citation on Taslim Olawale Elias and choke in envy. Later in 1966, Elias was re-appointed as Nigeria's Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice (a position he held while remaining Dean and Professor at the University of Lagos), until 1972, when he became Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.[4] He was ousted from this position by a military regime that took power in Nigeria at the end of July 1975.Now go to your village and cry to the Igwe that you once suspected you were mentally handicapped and lacking comprehension, but now it has been confirmed. |
Stingman:Yet he couldn't become President of ICJ as achieved by Taslim Olawale Elias. One day an Igbo will finally catch-up to that historic African feat. |
BrutalJab:Where is the embarrassment that Olawale Elias was the first African PRESIDENT of the World Court/ICJ? Are you celebrating vice-presidency of ICC on this thread or the presidency? Again I celebrate with you over your lesser achievement 36 years after a Yoruba man achieved a higher historic feat. Try harder, and you will someday have an Igbo finally achieve what Elias achieved. Next time read well to avoid embarrassment. |
chikarism:An illiterate that cannot read and comprehend ordinary google. Onyema was vice-president, and Elias was also vice-president after him. However, Taslim Elias became the first African PRESIDENT of the World Court. Or is it Vice Presidency you are celebrating with this ICC appointment of this Igbo Nigerian? |
LZAA:Yes they are warning the refugees that they will be kicked out if they do not respect their hosts. One useless refugee claiming to be Eze in Akure and appointing Igbo chiefs in Akure, was mercilessly flogged in the king's palace for not showing respect. I learnt he started prostrating and rolling on the floor while speaking the Akure dialect fluently. Whoever said anyone is too old to be taught respect. Again I repeat, I shut you up so easily with a superior achievement, so now you have abandoned your inferior gloating and have embraced fables. |
nwabobo:Yes ooo, history can never be erased. A few years from now what this Igboman has achieved, however less significant to Taslim Elias', will become historical fact whenever he leaves office. Abi you think say office or position is forever? We are all in this world to make history, and the Yorubas made history that you are yet to attain. Na im dey pain you for body pass, and that is the motivation for Igbos to succeed in life. Every Igboman trains his child to ensure to be more successful than the Yorubas have attained, while the Yorubaman tells his child the rich history of his tribe's accomplishments in Africa so as to set him on the right path without regards to any other tribe. |
LZAA:I like how I shut you up, so you can change the topic to fables that Igbo fathers tell their adult kids, as a means of closure from the horrors of the civil war, so they can sleep well at night. Continue to catch-up, we Yorubas might just begin to regard you as worthwhile. |
ayzTIGER:Far back when you were still in the jungle. Yet now that you are out, the world is still waiting for you to catch-up with some of such far back accomplishments the Yorubas attained for Africa. Go tell the Europeans to get rid of their own Gothic architecture of old, so as to erase how old their civilization is at a time some were still cavemen. So No! While new housing developments exist that you lie to yourself and deny, these testament of old civilization will give you a reason to ponder on why others were ahead of you and why you are constantly on a race to catch-up. This physical proof of superior history will never be erased. |
nwabobo:Taslim Olawale Elias was already the first African President of the World Court/International Court of Justice as far back as 1982. Yet you are celebrating and gloating over a lesser achievement when you are yet to catch-up with that. Learn to gloat with pride. Yorubas create standards for Africa without regards to anyone, while you clansmen always try to reference your latter day achievements with respect to Yorubas. Why must you always celebrate your success in comparison to Yorubas? Now that you have called us to see your achievement, we congratulate you for almost catching up, but almost isn't near enough. |

You always celebrate when it is too late. When next you and hornyofife want to call my attention in a bid to gloat, do your research well so that I will not bring forward a throwback achievement by the Yorubas that would embarrass you. |
We welcome the Igbos for catching up with the Yorubas again. Google Taslim Olawale Elias (first African to be president of the World Court/International Court of Justice as far back as 1982), then you can stop gloating after you realise that catch-up is your eternal destiny. If you do not know, the World Court is the principal judicial organ of the United Nations. While I celebrate with the Igbos on their lesser achievement with the ICC, I will felicitate with them when they finally attain by catch-up, the superior merit that the Yorubas attained in 1982. |
ERockson:I really don't know why ignorant people are always so arrogant? Not until experience teaches them, with their subsequent pain and agony, a constant reminder that they refused to suppress their stupidity and embrace knowledge. |
It is the spineless husbands of such mad women that I blame for not putting a leash on the family dog. She and the husband need to be prosecuted for child labour, while she enjoys the added delicacy of assault and battery. |
closerange:Okay, I thought it was Down's syndrome. But from what I remember reading about the boy, he does need lot of help to get by. |
Horlaidex:Indeed the son can never be his heir or manage a company, as he cannot manage himself being a patient of Down's syndrome. The dark skinned daughter is the one he had outside wedlock and borne by a Muslim woman his Catholic knighted father and mother rejected, before he married his fair wife. As karma will have it, the first daughter is the only one that is a carbon copy of the father, all the other children from his marriage look like their married mother. |
ofai:To think an Igbo stranger would type about Yorubas reaping where they did not sow, concerning the principalship of a federal university that they've been canvassing for at a time others were still anticipating a secondary school, that was situated in Yorubaland, and for which a Yoruba man was the pioneer African professor and the most senior African on its Academic board? For that, Yorubas are lazy and afraid of competition? You cheat someone and still rule him out even if your tribal choice rejects the appointment, and you call that being afraid of competition? What was competitive about keduism when one is not a Keduite, and as such, not qualified to compete? Igbo greed and ingratitude is indeed legendary. You truly love to dish that which you cannot accept nor tolerate. If Ajose had known what the future will look like, he would have named himself Ogbonna Ajose just to get what he merited. Just as many Igbos mock the Buhari regime now. So does that make the Igbos lamenting about Buhari's ethnically skewed appointments, lazy losers who want to reap where they did not sow? Are you saying you admit that such Igbo appointments were the rewards for being in alliance with the Northern NPC in the independence government? Are you admitting it was a case of reaping sown seeds and not a practice of meritocracy? Are you admitting that Akintola was right to educate Yorubas on the need to also align with the North, and share in the spoils of war that NCNC had cornered for the Igbos? So you think if Ajose, considering his academic pioneering status in UI, was Igbo by tribe, that a certain academic junior to him and fellow Igbo called Dike, would have been considered ahead of him by a fellow Igbo Akanu Ibiam? So you indeed support the notion that if indeed Dike was the first choice based on some weird desire to have an historian as the first Nigerian Principal, and he refused the appointment, even his seniors on the Academic Board were not qualified enough, as such a foreigner would have been the only alternative as opined by Akanu Ibiam? Yet you are the very tribe that daily laments about marginalization in Nigeria and the absence of meritocracy in appointments. |
Anything that will politically destroy a blind and deaf chameleon called Buhari is always welcomed by me. I can't believe it is this useless creature we thought would help us fight corruption. This president has no control whatsoever over his own administration. |
mercyville:Ohamadike still on the run and outpacing them all like Okanlawon. We are still waiting for Buhari's head on his left hand and the positive Jewish DNA result on the right hand, if only we can find him in Biafra where he promised the army he will be waiting for them. |
ofai:They were trailblazers in receiving appointments that had been predetermined by Igbos to be awarded to Igbos, as Akanu Ibiam's statement to Kenneth Dike was self revealing. Simply put, Akanu Ibiam was not going to allow any Yoruba become the Principal of Ibadan even if Dike rejected the appointment. And seeing no other qualified Igbo in sight, the position would rather be given to a foreigner. The trailblazer would always remain the first African professor in Nigeria, Oladele Ajose, and it will always be remembered that he was a victim of keduism. Nigeria sacrificed its brightest brain and most experienced faculty on the altar of keduism I can now put into proper perspective the hatred Chinua Achebe reported that Igbos faced right inside UI after Ojukwu declared Biafra in 1967, with their Yoruba colleagues telling the Igbos to hurry off to their Biafra. Keduism was at that time drawing its last breath to the delight of its Yoruba victims. |
LaudableXX:It would seem that the very tribalists were the ones who were always quick to label others as tribalist in a bid to ensure that their own deeds were not undone. I did not even know that they also took their Keduism to bear in appointments and recruitments at Unilag. Indeed, once one clansman is allowed in, he must honour the clan code and bring in hoards of clansmen to perpetuate their domination agenda. When a tribe brazenly continued to replace itself as the chairman of a university's school council, yet still has the courage to tell you that is meritocracy. When a tribe picks a professor who is a junior member of the Academic board over other qualified and most senior African and Nigerian of that same board, as the University Principal, and still argues with you that such a reluctant recipient of keduism is the most qualified because of his academic work on History (Dike) or Botany (Njoku), as though the role was for a chief botanist of the school garden that was not the discipline of the other qualified faculty, and not the administrative and academic management of the university for which others had superior experience. Then they still tell you that no one else was better qualified, and as such if the qualified Igbo would not take the offer of the Keduites, the keduites will overlook other senior and more qualified Nigerians to settle for a foreign Principal. I respect Keduism for its brazen, boastful, and pure breed of tribal nepotism, coupled with its self-preservative defense mechanism of persecution complex and crocodile tears to keep its victims away from any solace that might upturn the assault. Kedu k'odi! |
Thank God this man is not Yoruba. He would have been accused of envy for trying to be compliant with the Italian law. Mr Iwobi, abeg deport them all. |
ofai:You cannot reply to the truth. That is a fact. I have proven to you that Keduism was the order of the day in the 1960 independence government, until Akintola liaised with the same NPC that NCNC partnered with, before Yorubas could get what they had been denied by the less qualified Keduites. Keduism has died and it will never be mistaken for merit again. |

Yes, Charles Dadi Onyeama was appointed a Judge of the ICJ before Teslim Elias, but he was never President of the ICJ, unlike Elias. At the time Onyeama served as one of the Judges of the ICJ from 1967 - 1976, the President of the ICJ at that time was José Bustamante y Rivero of Peru who served from 1967 - 1970. Rivero himself was actually appointed as a Judge of the ICJ in 1961.
