He has learnt nothing. Jonathan was a Democrat through out his Democracy.
A democrat that was using the DSS to intimidate APC?

A democrat that was using the police force to harass a sitting governor in Rivers state and used the army to gain access to a state owned stadium that the state government had not approved for PDP use?

A democrat who as incumbent president, refused to attend the general debate for all presidential contestants in 2011, rather he chose to have his own private session arranged by his own campaign?

A democrat that arrested Dokpesi who was working with IBB for the 2011 PDP primaries?

A democrat who closed down news outlets with a media ban?

True.

Nevertheless, we Yorubas just had to boot GEJ out as a result of political expediency and the need to preserve our political destiny.

We don't care if the pigs from the yeast mourn GEJ's exit till eternity. The most important thing is that we acted in our best interest.
Nigerians across tribal and religious divides booted out a failure called Jonathan, despite the votes of ethnic and religious supporters.

Now that Buhari has failed like Jonathan, Nigerians will equally send him back to his village, despite the votes of ethnic and religious supporters.

Everybody must conform to their own ideology.
It is a must to follow our own agenda for everybody.

Meanwhile Ohamadike is still being awaited with the promised head of Buhari in one hand, and the Jewish DNA result in the other hand.

It is good to criticize with facts not with lies.

I remember that FFK claimed Buhari refused to shake the hand of Benue state governor Ortom at the FEC meeting, only for the video of the event to prove otherwise.

Stop concocting allegations if you cannot wallow in jail.

No sane country tolerates incitement, slander and libel.

Audu Maikori of Chocolate City Music is still regretting his foolish belief of an outlandish tale he was fed by those who knew his weakness as a knee-jerk reactant. He went public with a false tale that could cause anarchy and was adjudged as incitement, and by the time he apologized for his buffoonery, he had already attracted the attention of his enemies who had the perfect reason to give him the trauma he may never escape from.

As a former student, I know students are always ready to escalate simple matters to the point of crisis.

In the end, it is the students that will suffer.

Too stupid to realise you cannot cheat or threaten your host community.

In about the year 2003, LASU students tried it with the Ojo/Iba community and the danfo transporters till the traditional ruler declared a 1month war with the students. Na student suffer pass in that crisis.

OSU students too thought themselves to be aluta demons and eventually embraced a confrontation with the Ago-Iwoye community who are more Ijebu demons than any student demons can be. Last last, it was the student pleading with the state government to help them relocate the school to another location, when they saw demon that pass their own aluta by the time the Ago community used 4 days to give the students the attention they had been craving.

US no longer believe in a country like Nigeria that breeds international criminals due to the refusal of Hausa Fulani Yoruba elites to allow True Federalism that will make Nigeria work and in turn, reduce the number of people going into crimes.
Funny that you should mention elites of all major tribes without mentioning Igbo elites. Have the Igbos eventually succumbed to a minority status in the country they had hoped to dominate?

I thought an Igbo on Nairaland once proved to all how the Igbos were more relevant than Yorubas in Nigeria's political history over the many democratic administrations from the 1st republic?

When it is time to boast and gloat, you suddenly forget about marginalization. When it is time to to attract sympathy, you go into the old cloak room and adorn the emotional garb of marginalization.

When the Igbo lament about marginalization, they are actually lamenting that they have not been allowed to dominate as planned and as they effected in the 1st republic that even they truncated to ensure a more total control.

Who will liberate the eternally marginalized Igbos?

Even an Igbo foetus feels marginalized for having been conceived.

When President Obama addressed a speech to Nigerians in the prelude to the 2015 elections, was he also alluding to the famous Igbo marginalization?

sunnysunny69:
That comment by Olabisi is full of hatred, i once remember puff daddy gave open speech at Harvard, i can remember p diddy being a graduate. Even Nigerian billionaireess Alakija gave public lectures here and there in Uk universities yet madam was a former tailor.
The people you mentioned already became something big just like the many Harvard dropouts who became big, before they were recognised by the school or allowed to even grace the events of the school.

If Puff Daddy was invited, it was not because he was some gangster music producer, but because he is an entertainment icon and tycoon who has excelled in his vocation. If Alakija was invited to a university, it is not because she is a tailor, but because she is an oil tycoon and the richest black woman.

As for Patoranking, who is he as regards Nigerian music, talkless of global music or music business?

However if he says he was there and he has evidence, then he was there, which in itself is a surprise and the world is full of surprises.

And Olabisi was right in demanding to see the evidence of the lecture session, not just a picture of a tourist posing beside the signboard of a university then claiming that as the evidence that he was once a dean of the college.

We all remember the pictures of Gov Fayose posing on a podium at the Chinese train station with the passengers (audience) showing more interest in the arrival of the train rather than pay attention to the supposed speaker.

We also remember a certain Dino Melaye who lied that he graduated from Harvard, when all he did was just visit the school.

He was a coach that kept Arsenal at the level they have been known to be.

Now he has shown that he cannot even maintain Arsenal at the level he met them.

The useless dinosaur has refused to accept that his time is done and his philosophy is extinct.

He must be kicked out and banned from the Arsenal grounds.

I cannot speak for the Igbos, but I know that they are not as power drunk as the fulanis and certainly do not have agendas to dominate others like the fulanis.

Fulanis are oppressing Hausas in their own land today, but Hausas will never do anything about it cos most Hausa elites have fulani wives and mothers.

This act of intermarriage is an ancient strategy used by kingdoms to cement ties and everlasting bonds with one another.

Check the history of Sudan (the Nubians) how they were heavily islamized & arabized today. It was through intermarriage to a lot of Arab women. The Arabs clearly used this intermarriage strategy after they failed to conquer Sudan in war. Did they succeed at the end? Of course!
Stop beating around.

You raised a critical point of possible conflict between 2 tribes and where the loyalties of the leader is divided in the need to take executive decisions that might affect the tribe of the first lady.

I have given you an instance where an immigrant tribe considered itself too important to be disturbed by the invitation of the king and the concerns of the traditional nobility over the appointment of chiefs by an immigrant commoner who mistook association presidency as kingship.

It was in this same state that a Yoruba governor with an Igbo wife later assumed power. So if you fear for the future of Oyo state that a young Ajimobi with a Fulani wife might be governor in future, why do you not fear for the current reality of a Yoruba man with an Igbo first lady, in an Ondo state where Igbo's have proven to be a nuisance that had to be resolved?

Fulanis are now intermarrying their way into the elites of Yoruba land just like they did with Hausas and have been doing in Ilorin.

Very soon it will now be Fulani-Yoruba as one ethnic group of the South-west. grin

Now imagine if this Ajimobi's son becomes the governor of Oyo state tomorrow and fulani herdsmen started attacking Oyo state. Do you think he will be hard on the fulani herdsmen? Hell NO! He will never want to hurt his wife's people. ... Infact it will start from now. Watch how Gov Ajimobi will start pampering fulani herdsmen in Oyo state. Fulani herdsmen are now 1st inlaws of Oyo state grin

Exactly what is happening in Nasarawa, no matter how fulanis kill Nasarawa indigenes, Al-Makura is never disturbed. His wife and first lady of the state is a fulani woman and he will never want to hurt his wife's people.

Fulanis are very smart people. Marry into the elite class of a place and gain very strong influence there.
Why didn't you type this when Ondo state governor Akeredolu assumed office with an Igbo wife as first lady?

Or have you forgotten that the former governor Mimiko with a Yoruba wife, did not even raise an eyelid when the foolish Eze Ndigbo of Akure was flogged mercilessly by the Deji of Akure palace guards and youths, for daring to insult the king and appointing Igbo chiefs for Akure.

What would have happened if Governor Akeredolu was governor then with an Igbo first lady, and an unruly set of Igbo traders were delusional in the estimation of their own importance?
Politics › Re: Calabar Was Never The Capital Of Nigeria by Throwback: 2:25pm On Mar 03, 2018
From all I have read, Calabar was a capital of a region that became one of the constituents of the Nigeria that was amalgamated in 1914.

The Northern protectorate was never administered by any government or governor seated in Calabar, just as an Amalgamated Nigeria was never administered by any government or governor seated in Zungeru or Lokoja.

When Nigeria was amalgamated, the British chose to run it from the colony government that had been set up in the former colony of Lagos. Hence Lagos was the first seat of government for an amalgamated Nigeria.

If Dokpesi had to rely on your supposedly blood money from your supposedly useless politicians to pay ordinary salaries to his staff, it shows how bad the economy has become that his business can no longer break even.

I know this is beyond your comprehension undecided
Was there anytime Dokpesi did not depend on free flow of money from the political systems of Nigeria?

All the PDP state governments that were inviting AIT to cover the most irrelevant government ceremonies, no longer have the capacity for such waste in addition to the pool of PDP states being reduced.

All the PDP national events and jamborees have become local events that no longer have coverage due to absence of government funding with public funds.

The same AIT have always struggled and owed salary from inception. Every Nigerian knows this. AIT has always survived on political patronage. It is only certain that such an enterprise that is hinged on waste of public funds by the political class, would wither away naturally went its political partner is no longer in government.

As far back as 2001, AIT/Daar Comunications was on its knees begging for money from the general public, with many staff being owed months of salary, and some staff quitting the media company. In the aftermath of that struggle to pay up loans owed to banks and salaries, it managed to continue surviving with constant salary defaults and political patronage from the PDP that was at the states and at the federal government.

A certain minister once said it is not in the interest of the government to operate oil refineries. Yet she operated the oil ministry as a medium for corruption.

The global oil cabal has willing partners in Nigeria. They have found a useless nation to force feed an imported meal that must be paid for.

Colonial documents and evidences prove that oil was first found in Ebonyi, Anambra, Enugu states, 83 years ago, but government refuses to acknowledge this nor explore the black gold.

Not many Nigerians may know that 83 years ago, oil was discovered in Ebonyi, Anambra and Enugu states, in the South East geo-political zone. That was at least more than 20 years before the oil find in Oloibori, in the Niger Delta, which is prided as the first discovery in the country. According to documentary evidence, the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) knows this, but the corporation has not made much efforts to explore the oil ever since.

Saturday Sun visited Ebonyi, Anambra and Enugu states recently, where mineral oil lie idle and waste. Indigenes of these places, where unexploited oil was discovered, are full of lamentation.

Evidence of oil find in South East
At Edda, Ebonyi State, Prince Sunny Ugwuocha, a calibration engineer and principal partner of an oil servicing firm in Lagos, confirmed knowledge of the existence of oil in his community. It was also the same with Mr. Nnachi Kalu, a chemist and petroleum analyst, who admitted to Saturday Sun his knowledge of oil in Edda, his native place.

They said the oil find was in 1928, 83 years ago. Till date, the oil in Edda, with all the attesting documents at the National Archives in Enugu remains untapped.
You are talking 1928, while I am talking 1908 in Araromi Ondo.

Which discovery is older?

Was any found anywhere on Nigeria to be of commercial importance before Oloibiri?

Why are you so bitter that Oloibiri which is not Igbo land, had to be given such deserving status?
