Like I said, the Gbajue appellation still dey pain you for body.

No mandate for the mandate thief.

If Peter Obi wants to win a national mandate, let him put in the work to become a national politician and not a local champion hoping to fight religious warfare.

When Tinubu was creating a national party in 2013, Obi was still boasting that himself will not be found campaigning in Kano or Katsina. And that APC should have found an Anambrarian or SouthEasterner to monitor the Anambra gubernatorial election for the party.

That is how narrow and sectional the mentality of the gbajue mandate thief is.

We saw how insignificant his performance was in the Muslim North.

It can only get worse for him as a Yes Daddy desperate ticket hunter.

They are MAD. The only natives if Lagos are the Eguns, any other group claiming natives should be prosecuted for attempted usurpation.

I am an Egba man, my family came from the current Ogun State into Lagos. The Aworis are from far away current Osun. The Ijebus including the Ikorodus and Epes are never Lagos indegenes. The Kwarans who have dominated Lagos for years came from fat away because there was and there is still nothing in their state, likewise the Edos.

The Brazilian and Ivory Coast slaves that were dumped in Lagos by the slave merchants will never ever become Lagos indegenes, that is why one cursed Shinedu Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour was abusing his forefathers in Brazil the other time. Brazilians will always be Brazilians.

Only the Eguns can legitimately claim to be indegenes of Lagos. Unfortunately for the Eguns, we Egbas, the Aworis and the usurping Kwarans have relegated the Eguns because the Eguns did not embrace Western Education in time
Wetin concern Egun with Lagos?

I don't need to argue with you because I can see you don't even know an average salary of just a college teacher in the UK.
I like the direction you are going and it is not an argument.

Please what is the average salary of a college teacher in the UK versus the £9000 the child has to pay as local student school fees every session?
Many don't earn up to £4000 per month on jobs are are way above entry level.

Then compare that percentage to what the average salary of a public servant secondary school teacher in Nigeria versus the N150K being lamented about or the N400k I have even suggested.

Do we arrive at a fair percentage in Nigeria compared to the UK analysis?

Because one thing I know is that £9000 is not a salary many make in the UK even in 2months on very well paying public service jobs.

Many Nigerian civil servants with kids old enough for university education earn more than N200k per month, so why is N150K university session fees a big deal?

Impossible. Nevertheless doing well.
What percentage of your monthly salary is that university session school fees as you listed it?

Is the university fee under 300% of your monthly salary that is not an entry level worker salary considering you already have grown up kids?

If the university session fee per child is under 300% of your monthly salary, then they are very affordable and Nigerians need to get used to the fact that University fees is not the same as money spent with the family at Mega Chicken or Sweet Sensations.

No education cannot be free.

Resources and GDP is not the same.

We can only work based on revenue and not potential.

Even at minimum wage, UK university education at £9000 per session requires saving up for.

In Nigeria, we always want to use our lunch money to pay for university education.

That nonsense mentality must stop.

The money they were using for fuel subsidy is now being used for their personal needs.. I know something like endsars or worst will soon hit them.. The hardship in the land is too much, they don't feel it,because they do everything with taxpayers money..
There is nothing to groan about.

Those fees are OK considering the earning power of the parents who are lamenting.

University education fees should not be pocket money used by the family for a day out at a picnic.

You plan the savings for your child's education.

How much did those parents pay as session school fees in the private secondary schools that some of those kids attended, but want to pay half a term equivalent as university fees?

My only grouse with the increment is that the already enrolled students should be allowed to complete their education on the financial terms they knew before they enrolled, while the new students pay what is adequate (N400k and beyond) for the quality of education we yearn for in Nigeria.

the moment you mentioned the pound was when I know you are lacking alot upstairs. So the purchasing power are same??
Do the parents in UK earn £9000 a month yet still pay that amount per session per child?

Yet the parents who earn N300K to N500k per month in Nigeria are complaining of N150k to N250K university fee per session.

Is that not enough purchasing power?

It is about comparison of earning power in each country versus the university fees in that same country. I did not in any way compare Naira to pounds.

Read to understand before lamenting aimlessly.

Not just saving. Reducing given birth to much children. A working wife and husband with a child can easily afford this fee incremnent. When a low-income couple starts birthing 5 to 8 children, those are the people that will find it difficult to pay.
Those ones are jokers if they think they can be financially struggling and still be having 4 or more kids that require more funds to cater for.

Nigerians hate the truth.
A university undergraduate wants to pay below N100k which is approximately $100 a semester but they want same quality of education gotten in foreign countries where students pay 1000s of dollars.
They will tell you about their free education.
Are you ready to pay the kind of tax they pay over there to afford them free education?

They will say but we had free education and feeding before.
What was the population of students in school when we had such?
YOU WANT FREE EDUCATION, CAN YOU PAY THE TAX?

I have 24hrs electricity supply where I live, I hardly put on my gen, the average Nigerian wants the same thing, the question is you fit pay the Bill?
Electricity is expensive.
Ask those in the UK how much they pay for light and water bill, ask the how much they pay for gas.
No be to dey make demands.
You fit pay?
Those same people complaining are ready to go pay £16k to £24k per session in the UK.

We like decieving ourselves in Nigeria, yet lament non-stop about the poor quality of education and educational infrastructure.

Many think that the £9000 cap that the UK government has set as university fees for their local student, is 1month salary of a parent over there.

Considering the Nigerian economy and minimum wage, the university tuition should be nothing less than N400k per session for the cheapest schools.

Read what you wrote again ask your self how much is minimum wage any improvement even after this increments or is there any available job after All this suffering na WA for you ooo so it's cheap make the increase am to 400k is alright
You think the £9000 pounds per session that the UK government has capped university education for their local students, is money that is earned as 1 month salary by the UK public servants?

Even those in top shot private establishments with decades of work experience, don't earn £9000 per month.

So that N400k per session is very OK, considering the Nigerian economy and Nigerian minimum wage.

it's well.

Even IJMB program is about to increase their fees too. My advice for parents who are interested is to register their ward before February 1st
The greatest advice to parents is to start saving for their children's university education while they are just starting the secondary school.

Parents pay well for primary and secondary education, but want to pay a pittance for university education.

If the UK we all run to study can charge £9000 per university session for local students, then our public universities should be able to charge nothing less than N400k per session for Nigerian students.

Meanwhile, vocational training centers should be made very affordable too. Like N100k per year.
EducationRe: Parents Groan As Institutions Hike Fees By Over 100 Percent by Throwback: 11:53am On Jan 18, 2024
Sad reality.

Any major increment should not affect those who are already enrolled and undergoing a course of study, only minor increments should be considered in their case.

For those who are just enrolling, apply the necessary increment that will provide them the education and learning environment many are willing to pursue abroad but still cheaper within the context of the Nigerian economy, minimum wage, and available student loan facilities.

Or are we missing something?
Attacks on Obi has always been as a result of his lies and claims to sainthood, despite his many corrupt schemes when he was Governor.

Moreover, it is also attacks on the many hypocrites who previously affirmed he was a failure as Governor, only to white-wash him because he was the candidate of their tribe.
