Nonny95: You can see how naive and hypocritical you are?
Why the aside SDP? Oh. That one isn't part of your transformation? Because I backed up my argument with fact?
AD, ACN have different ideologies.
The AD of late 90s was pan Yoruba, ACN was Partly pan Nigeria. Edo state is a example.
Ngige equally ran under ACN. Like I said before, allow learning to enter your head. This is a free class from me and I won't give it further. You're free to dwell in your own deceit and lies. You must be a kid not to know that both SDP and NRC which were the political parties that contested elections in 1992 and 1993, were already defunct by the time Abacha began his own democratic transition in 1995/1996 with 5 new political parties. All the 5 political parties of the Abacha era were also sent packing by the Abdulsalami regime that sanctioned the created of only 3 political parties (PDP, APP, and AD) out of about 8 new parties that applied. So what sense does it make talking about a defunct party just because another party chose to bear the same name many decades later? Tinubu joined AD as a founding member in 1998, then with all the factional problems that PDP and Obasanjo was sponsoring in the other contending political parties, his own faction in AD pulled out and formed AC/ACN, then ACN went into a political merger with CPC and ANPP and factional APGA to form APC. Tinubu has been growing his same political group to become the ruling APC we have now in Nigeria. Same way Peat Marwick merged to become KPMG with the PM being Peat Marwick, same can be said about PWC. What work and patience did Peter Obi ever put in to grow a small party into a national party, besides jumping about looking for finished work all the time? |

Even if Dangote buys Crude Oil at international price that has been set, then his refined products should be cheaper that what we import, as importation (shipping) and port and custom charges have been totally eliminated.
Also, the cost of labour to operate his refinery in Nigeria is way cheaper than the cost of labour of the foreign refineries whose products we have been importing. |

Politics › Re: Re Let The North Rule For Ever by Throwback: 7:54pm On Jan 09, 2024 |
Throwback: What it points to is an acceptance of defeat by the Igbos who know they have burnt bridges all over Nigeria and cannot really compete against any other Southerner, be it SouthWest or SouthSouth, and win the votes of other Nigerians. It is a sorry admission of defeat.
They want the Presidency, but want the rest of the South to back out of it and give it to them on a platter, because they are entitled to the loyalty and service of others, and that way, the rest of Nigeria who already find them obnoxious would be forced to vote for them as the only aspirants for the presidential primaries of the 2 major parties.
Even the PDP primary of 1998 in Jos, that produced an Obasanjo candidacy, had many other Southerners (Ekwueme, Etiebet, Alabo Graham Douglas, Philip Asiodu, et all) contesting. But the Igbo man already knows he is a political failure as he wasn't innately blessed with the patience, humility, subtle cajoling and compromise such delicate enterprise requires. He simply knows he will fail at it, and would rather have a situation where his candidacy is a gift tendered to him by others who were sure to inflict a defeat.
While I am certain that SouthWest and SouthSouth politicians in PDP will contest for the presidential primaries in 2022 for the 2023 elections, the Igbos have determined they will vote for a Northerner, even if no Northerner is contesting just as no Southerner contested this last PDP primary whose ticket had already been zoned to the general North.
It is a sorry state of affairs for politics in Igboland, and it is certain the self destruction will continue much longer.
Since the Igbos already accepted primary defeat, we might end up having a SouthWesterner on the ticket of both PDP and APC, or a SouthSoutherner on both party tickets, or a straight showdown between the SouthWest and the SouthSouth in an APC vs PDP showdown.
The most intriguing aspect of the Igbo mindset in all these political calculations, is the fact that they have already decided on behalf of the SouthSouth, as though the SouthSouth have told them they are not themselves interested in being president of Nigeria in 2023 and would rather have a Northerner continue forever as it is the Igbo ecstasy. Igbos just sit in their beer parlours in Nnewi and make a decision on behalf of the mono-ethnic SE and the multi-ethnic SS, but would then claim betrayal for a loyalty that was never promised, if things don't go according to their own selfish tribal agenda.
The SouthEast has already reiterated its irrelevance in all these calculations, and no amount of terrorism and rebellion will gift them presidential tickets of either APC or PDP, having already betrayed their inability to compete with other players.
If APGA likes as an Igbo party, they can go to the North and search for an unwilling Northerner just to prove to us their preference for slavery beneath the North that we all know too well. It would not stop that Northerner from losing to a Southerner as was the case of the Northern Bashir Tofa with SouthEast support, against the Southern MKO Abiola who was victorious without SouthEast support.
I would be happy to watch the SouthEasterners traversing the North and begging for a gworo chewing janjawee.d uncircumcised philistine "Fulani" bastard, who they can serve again with their assured and beloved Vice-Presidential role, like the minions that they are, at a time they should be campaigning for the presidency like the rest of the South, just because they cannot compete against the rest of the South like the Northerners across the 3 zones just did in PDP. Just as I posited. |

What is evident is that this COP28 and all COPs are usually a global jamboree of some sorts, despite the serious purpose for which it came about.
Everyone goes there to feel important.
Many staff of global companies will not let us who are not political employees rest with all the pictures they will flood LinkedIn with, showing as as they pose for pictures with the high and mighty, and networking their way to that next career position ahead of those who are truly busy achieving silent results more than the noisy ones.
Rather than just get the job done, many have turned themselves to sociopolitical advocates, hopping from one global convention to another.
Guess what? That works super great for their career moves, driving all else without strength of character to want to duplicate the very pattern they have seen others achieve unmerited success.
Get ready for the Mecca type of delegates at COP29, as many more join the bandwagon.
It is certainly no surprise that Nigeria has the highest African contingent. Who else should it have been? |
