I attended command day secondary school, odogbo barracks, ibadan. It was Agric assignment and we were told to plant beans. I forgot to plant mine till the deadline elapsed. I finally planted my own on the very day of submission and prayed to heavenly Father for a miracle. Beans refused to grow o. I almost collapsed when aunty asked me for my beans plant. I quietly pointed at the wet loamy soil in my can. The way sergeant Clement flogged me that day ehn... 2. They were chasing school fees defaulters home on this very day. I have paid school fees but I joined the defaulters anyways. We wanted to go and play ps2 and watch Spartacus. One female teacher refused to mind her business and told the soldiers that my mom has paid since last week and I wanted to run away from school . Of course, I denied. . But, after adequate mending, hangings and crawling, I confessed. I suffered gaaaan o.... |

Brachaa: Yes actually. As at 2010, that size was going for 500k. Imagin now coupled with the dollar rate.
The special thing about it is that it is a popular designer. Hermes is one of the most expensive designers alongside Marc Jacobs though MJ is more expensive. So that's the special thing about it.
Now the good thing about it is you get to use it for years as it's very durable and if anything happens to it at any time, you can take it to the manufacturers and they'll change it. That's the warranty on it. Life time. Now that's good value for your money. . Poverty die! Die! Die!! |

Epositive: Salient points you have there. I can relate.
Personally, I'm having my own share in the rot of our educational system. I'm a 300L student, studying Agricultural Economics and Extension. But, like my other mates in agro-related disciplines here in my faculty, I have never step a foot on the farms for practicals. Even if it's to practice few of the theories learnt so far. A 5-year professional course for that matter. Imagine. No, just imagine.
Seriously, our academic curriculum needs total reform. I googled "Agricultural economics syllabus" with the names of some reputable school around the world and I was awed. All the courses were strictly related to the discipline. So far, I can categorically tell you only 15% of everything I've learnt is connected to my course of study. Everything else is "borrowed" subtly put.
Also, results was pasted recently, and to my shock, I passed all my courses expect for one that surfaced as "DROP". Noting that I've never had a CO, hence, had no reservation whatsoever to dropping that course. I have paid my fees and all my courses are duly registered, as evident in both online and manual course registration forms. Tests and exam? I wrote my best while maintaining good conducts all through. Never had a faceoff with any lecturer, yet the course was dropped. Up till now, the lecturer in charge is yet to give a good reason as to that "error". Asking if I attended his class, wrote his test and exam. Like Baba, check your attendance lists now. Now I've got to rewrite that course... Just like that.
Laboratory? You are bound to share apparatus with 19 other students. Or even 29 in some cases like Physics Practicals. Even with zero participation, just make sure your matric no is on the attendance list, then copy the assignments later. You are sure to have an A or B and you say school is not scam.
Library? The most recent books there are dated "2009". They are usually 2005 downwards. I've resolved not to visit the book store any longer.
Most times, when I go online to read and watch latest news regarding my course of study, I found out that some of the things taught are obsolete.
And so on... Little wonder why most of us are in school just for the pali. We are no longer interested in the knowledge for self-reliance and service to nation. Because the knowledge impacted by these lecturers are usually outdated, I once saw an handout (inked not typed) dated "2009" last semester. And you dare not give them a "new approach" outside the scope of handouts. Why bother, after all, certificates doesn't guarantee good, discipline-related jobs.
Mehn me I can't can anymore. That's why even with the overwhelming academic hustle and bustle, I still spare some time to learn photography (photo editing, cinematography, graphics design and animation). Local man can not come and carry last. . . Nice write-up. But, why do I feel you are from oau? Anyways, I'm a graduate of OAU and I have been into photography before I got admission. Please sir, make more time for the photography and cinematography that you are learning. Thats your meal ticket. School na scam true true. Bless up... |
Health › Re: My Skin Is Too Soft (please Help) by Timagex(m): 1:22pm On Aug 26, 2020 |
trueguy573: Good day Nairalanders, I decided to post this here due to its population.
I can't help but notice that my skin is too soft and smooth nearly like that of a newborn. I have 3 sisters. I and 2 of them took our mother's skin. We all have soft skins but mine is extra soft. It is also very sensitive to the core.
Actually, the main issue that prompted me to post this is that triming my hair and beard is hell especially when the barber begins to re-shape the hair line back of the head or scrape off the hair under my chin. When the clipper comes in contact with my skin, I would literally feel like jumping up due to the excruciating pain. It was as if one was drawing with a knife on my skin. It took a lot of self-control and fear of getting cut to bear it all. My beard also isn't helping out as it grows rapidly.
I'm frustrated. Most barbers and folks I've been with acknowledged that my skin was soft. The only advantage of my skin is that ladies love to feel em especially when we hug and it glows attractively backed up with shea butter and coconut oil. Anytime I felt the razor pain, I was more determined to be rich as poverty would really deal with me and my determination is coming to reality, thanks to God.
Anyway please help me out with this, what natural item can make my skin thicker? I need your recommendations. I know I'm not the only one facing this. I would really appreciate your input. Anyone out there who knows a practical step to get a thicker skin? . Hello bro. Congratulations on your soft skin. As a photographer, I believe you can make most out of it by trying body modelling. If you have a good physique, we can work something out. Let me know what you think. I can feature you in one of my shoots. The skin is a blessing in disguise. Have a great day. |

What you saw was a vivid description of how corruption has been embedded in our every day lives in this country. I'm not even suprised that a king can behave like that. There is no accountability. I suggest you start looking for another job, because, anything from "above" is always hijacked by the powerful people. We go survive. Anyway, I'm a photographer by the way.
