please which pension fund administrator would you recommend? I am thinking of using this current transfer window to switch PFAs.
I currently use sigma pensions but they are too slow to process my requests. I end up calling and calling and sending lots of emails before I get answers.
I have friends who use stanbic pfa and first pfa and they say they are good. Based on your experience, which would you recommend for me?
Pardon me for asking, but what sort of requests do you send your PFA? I'm curious.
There is something I've come to realize, which I'm sure many others may also be aware of.
The majority of Nigerians clamouring to leave the country and migrate to the US, UK and Canada largely belong to the low- to mid-income group. Those who would find it difficult and unusual to say... procure a solar-powered solution to meet their home power shortage needs (I'm just using this as an example o! Bikokwa).
Really wealthy individuals such as successful business-people, private equity fund managers (again just an example), etc, who have had the opportunity of living and spending a considerable period of time abroad, paid bills and taxes there, would always grab whatever opportunity they can, to come and rest/flex in Nigeria. Life in general is laid back here, compared to the constant rat-race abroad, where the slightest financial bump or delay in receiving your paycheck, can result in homelessness.
But then, some might argue that the welfare system in place (in Canada especially) is there to cushion most of the shock of hard living, should one find him/herself out of a job.
But then considered the likely naïvety of my viewpoints, so I'm instead gonna say:
Lemme travel to the obodo oyibo first and experience things practically instead of onlinelically, then I'll be better informed to decide if I want to stay there for a while (maybe for the period of my active years) after which I'll then retire to Owerri or Enugu; or instead adopt the "we die here!" stance of Lexusgs430, kiss Naija goodbye and then use my green Passport to light charcoal.
Mynd44: Lets pause ooo. What did this guy do wrong?
There is no evidence that the company has a policy preventing sexual relationships among staff He did not assault her He did not use his office to threaten her into sex so what exactly did he do?
I won't be shocked if the bank sacks him as he has brought their name into the mud but if he did anything ethically wrong? Nope.
If anyone did wrong, it is the cheating wife. She was the one who swore an oath to her husband and cheated (yes, I will say the same thing about side chicks and married men)
So it's not unethical in Nigeria to not just sleep with, but also impregnate another man's wife?

You could search around for any Code of Conduct relating to banking professionals.
Apart from prohibiting members from engaging in practices that are deemed criminal, the profession also places high emphasis on ethical standards and behaviour, both within and outside the office, in social media and public interactions.
Letting this scandal escalate to this proportion, speaks volumes about how little the MD regards the office he currently occupies. I'm sorry to say this, but he is absolutely unfit to continue in that role and should in the interest of the bank, announce his resignation in the coming week.
He has created a severe reputational risk for the bank that may only be remediated by him stepping down from the board. If I may ask, would you be comfortable with entrusting your billions of hard earned funds to a company headed by a philanderer and adulterer (he is not married to the lady)? Well that's the dicey situation that his actions have placed the bank in, currently.
Major stakeholders are keenly watching the direction the bank would take in this situation and that would determine the status of their relationship with the bank subsequently. I understand that Otunba Balogun has been moping up shares via the secondary market, probably in a bid to prevent dumping of the stock by other shareholders.
Men may cheat (neither do I claim to be innocent of that), but the level of authority and discretion you command, would guide your actions on how bad you really want to go should you wish to engage in one misdemeanor or the other. Unfortunately, this MD impregnated another man's wife, not once but twice (for all we know there might be other issues elsewhere?).
He should just step aside, in his best interests and those of the bank.
She don't because Catholic Church especially in Nigeria is strongly against Feminist and Feminism. ....look at efulefu saying when she finds a progressive Catholic Church outside the country, she will attend... Like the basilica in Rome and France I guess...
So the progressive Catholic Churches just sprang out from the tin air i guess?
Please, who is supplying weed for this feminist?
In Catholic, It's a tradition for "communicants" not all attendees to fast before mass due to the reception of the Holy Eucharistic, except for the sick and elderly. Thats what this feminist see as a problem...shes just a pergan in disguise, she absolutely knows nothing about the faith, norms and tradition of the Catholic Church. even if am not to partake in the reception of the Holy Eucharistic, I find it difficult to eat before going to mass.
Book no dey again to write, na chasing clout now be her priority
With all that you've just written here, do you consider yourself a Christian? A Catholic?
Thimmoh: As at now, I dont have any issues with them. I have been investing with them since june and I have made more than what I invested since then, SO basically I have cashed out my capital and now investing the profit in case anything happens.
When did you first hear about them? Like how long have they been operating?
PedroEastman: Let me tell you my life story, last year I was on my 6 months IT in Warri refinery where my Dad is a staff, my mom died when I was 6 and I have 3 younger siblings (step brother and sisters but you won’t notice because of the love we have for each other) . But unfortunately there mom and my Dad had to part ways because she couldn’t leave her business in port harcourt to base in Warri when my Dad was transferred there. So since my younger ones were still tender my Dad remarried a Warri woman but before the marriage she was nice and supportive but the moment she was married she started acting up and misbehaving. My Dad gave her a check of 1million in my presence to open a business close to the house and stock it very well but instead she opened a beer parlor after assuring my Dad she will open a provision shop and stock it like a mini supermarket. Fast forward to 4 years and she was still into the beer business and she closes late like 10pm after leaving home in the morning by 8 after my Dad leaves with me for IT by 7am but my Dad closes by 12 just to come hope and cook for my siblings because according to my step mom she was too busy with her business to cook. I kept wondering why my Dad is patiently cooking and not complaining about her considering the fact that he is hot tempered .
I never knew my Dad has a plan already coincidentally his retirement and my end of IT was in same month.
After I completed my IT my Dad retired but kept mute and she didn’t know he had retired and he even cooks and drive to her beer parlor to give her where she will be sitting and laughing with different men.
I had already finished my IT and my Dad retired too but we keep dressing every morning and and going out as usual as if we were going to our place of work then I never knew my Dad’s plan until he drove me somewhere in NNPC club where we got drinking, I drink a lot but my dad thought I was innocent to to him he is the first person to give me alcohol , mind you i was 23 years then. And drinking our beer he made one last call and all I heard was wait for me outside Refinery gate and he drove there lo and behold a very big truck that can be used to carry relieve material for displaced people. He drove ahead while the truck driver drove behind. We went straight to my siblings school and picked them up then we headed home where we packed everything and drove immediately to ph ( Eleme ). It was around 11pm she started calling and when we were already in our house but my Dad ordered my not to pick and he didn’t pick too .
For The 1million my Dad gave her to start the business she never for 1 days cook from it , even when my dad traveled and the money he dropped was exhausted she made us drink garri even when I had made millions and when my Dad asked why we had to sip garri as food her response was it’s a man’s responsibility to take care of the family not hers.
My reason for writing this long episode is just to let the OP know that a man can not just run with his children if you have not done anything to made feel you’re no more worthy.
I know my writing is not arranged but I just wanted to make a point
Bros!
I can totally relate to all that your dad went through.
Men do suffer in marriages but because our society is patriarchal in nature and conditioned to despise complaints from men, they just have to suck it in, "man up", "take it like a man" and all that yada yada yada bullshit.
I've come across statements such as: "my money is my money; your money is our money" and wondered what pit of hell, that sort of mentality emanated from. You'll thus have entitled women who come into marriages with the thinking that the man being the breadwinner, should single-handedly shoulder EACH and EVERY role and responsibility in the house. Heaven help him, should the wife take up a job or business that engages her time. The man who wouldn't want to see his kids starve, would then be forced to go to take up preparing the meals, while also managing his own stress at work - just as you described in your dad's case.
When these marital issues arise, some guys get aggressive and resort to verbal/physical assault ( the side of the story we always get to first hear about). Others adobt wisdom and search for a less violent way of exiting the marriage.
Things were not this bad during the time of our parents. Westernisation and excessive liberalism has crept in and thoroughly destroyed the very foundations that held marriages solid sand sacred. And it's only getting worse with time.
Richy4: For those that read this, How did you manage to read this without paragraphs? U guys were really brave.... I don't want to have a headache... it's like all the letters were raining from the sky..

His viral video was untrue and misleading....it was capable of disturbing public peace and it did.
In a land where decorum exists, he would be jailed after being forcefully extorted of 500k so that he will know the true Longman definition of "double wahala"

I will be brief. So, I met a girl in church and one thing led to another and we exchanged contacts. We been chatting and talking ever since. I can tell she likes me a lot as she's always calling me on WhatsApp call and video calls.
So, we fixed our first date to be today. Told her I will call her by 4pm to give her the venue. I decided for us to hang out in a popular eatery close to my area. The place is quite busy on Sundays with lots of guys and babes coming around for dates and to chill. They usually have live band too with good meals and all other things.
Called babe by 4pm as I promised and gave her the location and she refused coming there. I even offered to pay for tfare even though I knew that that's not the reason but she wasn't having any of it. Initially, she said that she hasn't gone there before but wouldn't want to go there either. Pressing forward, babe gave a new funny excuse that her village people usually come to that venue . Like WTF . Granted, she's from the town but how will someone know that her village peeps goes to a place if you haven't been there before. Ofcourse i stood my ground and the date had to be cancelled. She's been chatting me and I haven't replied yet.
To the question, does it make sense for a lady to choose for a guy where to take her especially on a first date? Who wouldn't want to hangout in a popular relaxation spot if he/she doesn't have anything to hide? Anyways, I had to take two plates of goat peppersoup from my budget and a chilled Heineken beer to watch my Arsenal team mumu themselves, by the way. I can't come and kill myself on top my own money too
Anyone who is familiar with Enugu-Onitsha expressway, would know how risky that Ugwu onyeama area is. Especially the spot around the abandoned coal mine where they say ghosts of coal miners killed by their British paymasters still roam and is notorious for so many fatal accidents.
I would finish weekend paroles with la bae, drive from Independence layout to go drop her off at Nsude and then drive back to Enugu by 10:30pm. When passing that Ugwu onyeama spot, with the highway being dark, deserted and lonely by that time, I'll start asking myself "wetin I wan talk for heaven's gate if something should happen to me now?". I'll start swearing and promising never to try that stunt again, but sure thing, by the next weekend, the routine would still continue.
P.S. I didn't do it for love though. Babe had the biggest and baddest otile I ever set my eyes on. Till date. So a lot was at stake.
AlexBells: The last one I was with we discussed about a lot of things, like how she feel being a prostitute, how do she feel having all sorts of men on her and what's it like always having to worry about STD and above all how much she makes in a day, I once offered to pay up one of the prostitutes daily earning just to lodge her in a decent hotel for a day have a drink and talk. Apparently she told me she makes an average of 5K to 10K a day, I also learnt through our conversations that most of them consume a whole lot of painkillers drug by self medication, a terrible risk
I understand you bro.
You might not know it, but it was your own way of charity.
