Politics › Re: Gulak Was Killed On Official Duty To Owerri As Consultant To Constitution Review by Tinyemeka(m): 6:26pm On May 31, 2021 |
Someone sent this to a group chat I belong to: BREAKING NEWS UZODIMA KILLED GULAKZ!!! It has been uncovered that Ahmed Gulak was murdered by Hope Uzodinma. It should be recalled that Gulak installed Uzodinma as the Governor of Imo State. Uzodinma undertook to pay ten billion Naira to Gulak for the hack job. Ever since Uzodinma ascended the seat of power in Douglas House Owerri, he had been avoiding Gulak. The efforts to collect the dirty money had reached a crisis point that Gulak had to undertake his final journey to Owerri. Upon arrival, Uzodinma lodged Gulak in Protea Hotel Owerri, the same hotel from where he rigged Imo APC Gubernatorial primaries in favour of Uzodinma. Uzodinma could not meet his financial commitment to Gulak. When all efforts to make Uzodinma pay his debt to Gulak failed, Gulak decided to go public. At this point, Uzodinma persuaded Gulak to yield him more time considering the circumstances of unrest in Imo State. Frustrated Gulak had no other option than to return to Abuja. Uzodinma had to arrange for a cab to drop off Gulak at Imo Airport without any security details. It was on the way to the airport that gunmen hired by Uzodinma wasted Gulak. Realiable source From insider.
Share widely I have no comments on that. |

post=101961500: RIP Late Army Chief Attahiru.
Lt. Gen. Attahiru and the others were stalwarts and brave soldiers , who dedicated their career, and now their very lives in the service of this nation and toward the realisation of the noble aspirations this nation represents. Lt. Gen. Attahiru, just like the others, involved in this tragic incident, served his country with zeal and vigour. He was known as a soldier’s soldier. Every good and sane Nigerians must gird themselves and finish the job to which the deceased military officers dedicated and gave their lives for. Let us remember these brave patriots not with our tears but by achieving victory over the terrorism and violence that seek to rob our nation of its finest destiny. Let this unfortunate accident not deter us but spur us and our valiant military to continue to defend this land from violence and evil. What aspirations exactly? Kindly elaborate if you don't mind. |

pelmart: Okay, you and your siblings are the beneficiary guarantors on the annuity. Please kindly disregard my previous message as appropriate. The best way is keep the threat on and possibly, get court induction, ordering them to make the payment soon. Unfortunately, NAICOM should have done the merger of Niger Insurance because it is clear the company is no more financial capable.
There is little that can be done on my end as the annuity has rum for period and only left is the balance to be paid to the beneficiary. I will help you guys raise it on a forum and see if there is other ways out. I wish you best. Visit the Niger Insurance office and threaten to sue if the balance is not paid and possibly get a court induction on that. Regards Thank you pelmart. We are named beneficiaries, have signed and submitted everything Niger Insurance asked us to do. I have gone personally to their Head Office, written their MD severally and called their contact person so many times. Now they no longer take my calls. Most times you hear situations like these and find them hard to believe, until one has experienced it firsthand. They're making me feel as if I've failed my siblings. God dey. I have just emailed Bereketefamily but received a mailer Daemon response. See attached pic. Kindly advise if you know an alternative means of reaching them. I will pursue getting a court order as soon as the strike us called off. Would keep in touch. Thanks a lot.

DAramis: The way the devil destroy some people self erh, it is annoying. He could have tendered his apology when he learnt about the age of the girl and stop chatting her.
He could have gone to bar on Friday night to chat up a lady and take her home since he is trying to get layed. Alternatively, he could have 'rented' a 'woman of easy virtue' for few hours. All these solutions would have prevented him from falling into this trap.
May he find peace and probably not lose his job in UK. He was definitely trying to sample a young one. |

It would have benefitted her if she had gone for ANNUITY (where she will be paid for life, plus additional life benefits)
In need of more information, questions, contact me on 0 8 0 6 5 9 5 2 5 9 4 Niger Insurance has been sitting on my late mother's Annuity balance for almost 2 years now, despite the fact that all documentations have been completed. Can anything be done to compel them to pay up? |

pek: So if doesn't go to brekete, the pension is gone? So myopic! It might sound incredulous to you sir, but the degree of hopelessness and ineptitude in this country is at a crazy level. Niger Insurance plc has sat on my late mother's annuity balance since January 2020. Annuity balance mind you, not pension. This was her accumulated pension which was transferred from her PFA to Niger Insurance, for her to be paid a fixed amount monthly. Sadly, she passed on after just 3 years. We had notified the insurance company which they acknowledged and sent us the balance for us to also acknowledge, which we have done. And then our troubles started. For 18 months and counting, Niger Insurance PLC has refused to pay my siblings and I (we're orphans as I write) according to the Policy agreement and payment advice which THEY gave us to sign. I have written and called and written and called to the point that none of them take my calls anymore. Their MD/CEO inclusive. It got to the point that I complained to NAICOM (regulator of the Insurance industry) via their Twitter handle. I highly doubt if any of their staff manages the account, much less responds to posts. I had to go to their office in the state where I reside, to submit an official letter of complaint against Niger Insurance. A staff who received my letter assured me that I would get a feedback from NAICOM within 2 weeks. It has been more than 2 months since I submitted that letter and despite several calls I made to the staff, I am yet to receive any feedback from the regulator NAICOM, or Niger Insurance. For goodness sakes, we are talking about funds that were entrusted to Niger Insurance PLC to invest and pay back on a monthly basis. We are not asking for a loan! Pay back the money that was given to you, and they are busy playing hide and seek. What is the difference between this behaviour and Ponzi schemes? Dear @pek, please bear with people who have to stoop low and appeal to a non-govermental body to intervene in their behalf. I have tried using a diplomatic approach in meeting with these people, but it seems that being a gentleman in this country is always viewed as an act of stupidity. My brother and I have considered the option of seeking legal redress against Niger Insurance PLC. The legal cost involved has been our main hindrance at the moment, but that option is still on the table. We would still give it more thought after exhausting all other options. Sorry to everyone for the long post. Needed to get it off my shoulders. |

There is a similar house at Okwuta, Ibeku, Umuahia in Abia state.
A new 2-storey building containing six flats.
Completely empty for the past 6 years. Previous tenants would hear cries of babies at night all around the house, but would see no child. Everyone packed out of the building in fear and to this day, nobody has moved in.
People say the owner buried children alive in the compound before building the house. My sister told me that the owner also had another property at another location with the same problem.
The man is dead and the properties now lie desolate as weeds have overgrown the building entrances. |

An absolutely stupid post.
Someone is lost in an unfamiliar city and you ask the person to find his/her way to so and so.
Why was the person lost in the first place?
Except you dropped out of the sky or tumbled out of a kidnap vehicle, you must have had a general idea of how you'd gotten to your current location.
Look around for a shop, buy something small and cheap to establish a kind of connection with the vendor, then make general enquiries on how to get to where you wish to go. |

TheresaMarii: Hello nairaland, My name is Theresa and I'm from Lome. Please I'm currently in at a cross road and I need an advise. My current contract job will be over in a few weeks although I have a chance of extending it if I want and luckily, I got a new and better job with another big firm in Lome (resumption is in a few weeks). Now, the twist is that, I also got an offer from an international organisation in Kenya but I can't resume until November. Should I leave my current job, start the new one in Lome and leave after few months to Kenya? Or I should manage with my current job until November?
Please I need advice and if possible, this should make it to front page of the forum. Thanks! I try to look at the bigger picture in addition to some other factors before making a job change. Some critical information is missing so I'll respond with what you've posted. You seem to have answered your question when you said the new Lome offer is better than your current one. Are they of the same career path that you wish to pursue? How do their overall benefits (not just monthly netpay) compare? How about the quality of work experience? Answer those questions then decide for yourself. I haven't handled a contract position before, except for my very first appointment offer (sales position) which I did for barely 3 months before moving on, so I can't lay claim to being knowledgeable about the career paths of contract-based, determinate-period jobs, but from the little I've read and heard, I understand that the wider the variety and range of experience you have, the better and faster your career growth. That being said, I would also advise that you take the Kenyan job offer when it becomes due. You will gain a wider international exposure. . I'm definitely out of my depth here. |

WhiteRuler: First of all, apologies for any errors you may come across as I am not at the right frame of mind now.
Secondly, this post is 100% real about my life. So nothing is fake in it.
I'm a man, precisely 33 years old. I graduated from the University in 2019 at age 31. You may ask why I was still in school till that age. Well, I have realized that family/parental background matters a lot in a child's life no matter how people try to twist the fact. I am posting on the assumption that you're currently unemployed or engaged in a very low-income occupation at the moment. If I am incorrect in my assumption, kindly disregard my post. I've been picking my brain, trying to recommend a career path or jobs you could pursue, given your current situation. An incomplete list for now: 1. I know a bank that pays its security staff and notecounters around N45,000 monthly. You could go around branches, request an audience with the branch heads, explain your condition to them and I'm pretty sure that something positive will present itself from your interactions. You'll have to move out of Lagos for that salary to cover your living costs. 2. Visit pdfdrive .. net (single dot, no space) to download recent books that will teach you programming. Use your free time to study really really really hard. Develop projects and sell yourself online when you've mastered some skills. I did natural sciences during my undergrad, worked for several years in a totally different field and have suddenly decided to considered software/web development as an alternative career path (hopefully). You can live in Nigeria and earn your salary as an American. Think about that. 3. Some people might disagree, but I see nothing wrong in comparing yourself with your peers (in a positive way). I call it self-appraisal and evaluation. Setting targets and measuring to see how much you have accomplished. Look out for role models and try to emulate them. My mum (of blessed memory) in those days, used to chide me when I recount my aspirations and things I could have achieved but didn't. She'd draw my attention to my age-mates and how much I may have done compared to them, saying I should always be thankful for what God has done for me. But I really am thankful for all that God has been doing in my life. About 5 years ago while reading Zuckerberg's bio on wiki, I was shocked to discover that he was my senior by exactly just 1 year (we share the same month), but now, he's already a $ centi-billionaire. And growing. Legitimately acquired wealth. Does he have two heads? What did he do that I could learn from? How can I overcome my weaknesses, leverage on my strength and opportunities to break out of my unsavoury situation? These are the kinds of questions you should be asking when you compare yourself with your peers. Also, never forget that God is always around to hear your sincere prayers, to provide you with wisdom and strength in your endeavours, when you truly believe Him. Regards. |
