During my undergrad days, we used to go for all night jacking, a.k.a TDB.
To ward off the sleep, a friend introduced me to one candy they called Kona café. A coffee-flavoured sweet. I'd buy about five of them and consume them as I read through the night. However, it wasn't long before my body got used to that and the sweets were no longer effective in preventing me from sleeping.
I needed something stronger and switched to taking hot cocoa with coffee to battle sleep. Of course that didn't last for long. I remember one funny incident that happened one night. I was still in the hostel and took the usual hot drink. I just lay in bed reading and within the next 30 minutes, I'd already fallen asleep.
Was so frustrating for me that I decided to forgo milk and just mix Nescafé in cold water, then gulp down the bitter stuff. I did this for about 2 weeks, until I went full blown hardcore.
I'd just open the tin of Nescafé, scoop 3 teaspoons and dump them in my mouth raw. Chew on it and then wash it down with a sachet of cold water. Coffee when hot, has that pleasant, burnt aroma. But when cold, it gives off this evil-tasting, bitter-sour taste. This was what I used to make myself go through whenever I chewed the raw stuff. My rationale was that the more bitter it tasted, the longer I could remain awake. So this became my last resort in remaining awake all-night and reading till daybreak. I knew it was taking its toll on me, because I'd suddenly develop sweating spells, my body would go clammy and my heart developed irregular beating patterns. I swear, there were times when I'd be walking and suddenly discover that my heart had skipped beats for a few seconds.
I was managing all these until one day while writing in class, everywhere just suddenly bstarted spinning and I couldn't even see my hand or the book I was writing on. I was sitting down mind you. First thing that passed through my mind then was: How can one get so dizzy while sitting down? I couldn't even sit. Had to leave the class and look for a place to lie down until the dizziness stopped. It wasn't just the dizziness, but I would get very weak, my fingers and toes would get cold and I'd be seeing colours before my eyes.
Throughout that day, I didn't know what might have caused the sudden dizzy spells. It was much later that I began to suspect that caffeine consumption might have been the culprit of my predicament. I immediately dropped the habit and threw away the remaining tin of coffee. Needless to say that I continued to suffer the dizzy spells and heart palpitations for roughly an additional 5 months until they gradually wore off. I'm pretty sure I came close to dying or having a heart attack, with that first dizzy episode.
These days I only use coffee sparingly, when I wish to enjoy the flavour with my cocoa drink. Even at that I still get to suffer the effect hours later in the form of cold sweats, sourness at the back of my throat and shaky hands. But wetin man go do?
I sometimes marvel when I hear the quantity of coffee Americans get to consume each and everyday.
Contango: Back then in UK, Manchester to be precise, I did the following. Not that I did not have money (I was on full scholarship all through), I just wanted extra bucks. 1. Amazon (warehouse operations) 2. JD Sports (warehouse operations) 3. Ethiad Stadium (Steward) 4. Old Trafford stadium (Ball boy)
We suffer no be small in those days but it is rapidly paying off now
Chiggsglover: I'm glad you decided to go into IT But you're in a different country, you need to consider the job market supply. Pandemic has scattered lots of things, even me now, I'm clueless about how this is going, I was hoping it would end last year....some experts are projecting for three years, one even said it will become our way of life. Networking is good too, you can be needed in small and medium and big businesses, Data Analytics is used by majorly, big businesses...

Chidi chikere posted a video with his wife to assure haters that they are still together amidst separation scandal.
According to the online speculation, Chikere's union with actress, Nuella Njubigbo, has hit the rocks over domestic abuse allegations
-Chidi chikere ex wife Sophia Williams who is also an actress took to her Instagram page to throw shade at them.
It appears Nollywood director/producer, Tchidi Chikere's marriage with actress, Nuella Njubigbo, has crashed, if the online expectations are anything to go by.
While this may come as sad news to some people, it couldn't be more exciting for Chikere's ex-wife and actress, Sophia Williams.
Williams recently took to social media to react to the failed marriage rumours and she appeared pretty amused by it.
She wrote:
Kill them with kindness: Nse Ikpe-Etim's response to vile comment makes troll tender apology "Wetin dey happen to one love made in heaven? Just asking for a friend who is not on Instagram. E choke."
Williams' comments were better explained by Instagram user, fella_Kalu. Apparently, when Chikere and Nuella got married, an excited Nuella tagged their union 'made in heaven' despite the backlash she received for breaking his marriage with Williams.
Blogger, Cutie Julls has alleged that Chikere and Nuella's marriage crashed due to domestic abuse on Chikere's part.
According to Julls, Nuella's mother has kicked against her daughter remaining in such an abusive home.
Please is this the same Chidi Chikere that used to write for Hints Magazine in the '90s?
ive actually seen this happen in so many homes and it's the men that first start dousing the fire of love in marriage. They'll start by going to viewing centers or a friend's place to watch soccer, leaving the woman all alone at home. Before you know it, the gap is formed. The Interest in each other drops and you begin to see yourselves as siblings or biz partners.
It sucks.
That's not where it started.
Some things had gone wrong which compelled the men to leave their wives at home under the guise of going to watch football at a friend's place. Why couldn't they watch the match at home with their spouses? It's because underlying issues at home now forces them to seek peace of mind outside. They've invariably chosen that they'd prefer the company of friends, over their spouses.
Would that have happened if everything was ok ab initio?
NetValueFX: Another way to calculate it is using geometric progression. Where A= is initial capital. R=1.29, n-1= 12(month)
You're right.
I've done above 50% in one month several times, but I took quite careless and risky trades that would not ordinarily be sustainable in the long term.
My problem has always been with discipline, knowing when to log-off after successful/failed trades, and employing sound capital management. Those have been my challenges.
I assume you might have taken these into consideration before embarking on your challenge. Just keep that at the back of your mind while trading, even if that'd hamper your chances of hitting your target.
If you've got other things you're doing, it might be difficult keeping a full rein on trades, especially during periods of high volatility such as when significant trade news and events occur.
P.S. I might be tempted to join in your challenge after all.
Aluspecialty: Hi @NetValueFX I did an analysis on how much yearly % you are looking at to obtain a 1:20 balance, e.g.; 2,000 deposit: 40,000 balance. I also have been following your fxblue explorer and have this token for you: total yearly% profit = 1,900% in 12months., this means that you are looking to multiply your capital by 20 in a year by obtaining a profit 19times your capital. This means you must obtain an average monthly profit % of 159%, NOTE: profit not balance. This will bring your average monthly balance to 259%.
You must achieve this monthly, or as an average all through each month of the year, you must achieve the calculated %.
My Conclusion: IT IS NOT POSSIBLE! IT IS NOT POSSIBLE!! IT IS NOT POSSIBLE!!!
Consequences: You are putting yourself and your trading plan under pressure, why don't you hope for a more realistic monthly average profit %, say 20%, and expect to obtain a total of about 240% yearly profit. This is very achievable.....Just a piece of sincere advice from my genuine experience.

Were you compounding his gains? Or you just took the easy route and calculated using simple interest?
Please run your calculations again, this time using compound interest.
hopexter: I and my Niger Deltan friends (4 of us) got into an argument over good luck Jonathan's failure and I was extremely happy Buhari would be next and would perform better due to how he portrayed himself, I so much had hope in Him that I would fight Tinubu just to have a perfect man as Buhari for a president. But then when he finally became the president, he rubbed everything on my face, I've never been so emotionally deceived in my entire life. I even exchanged bad words with alot of people here on Nairaland and Edo political forum and got life ban from EPF and several bans from NL. I feel so ashame even now that my president is having a rest in another country while his own country is on Fire. I'm shattered emotionally and that's why I agreed to take part in weapon handling/fixing & Sniping programs abroad sponsored by the Motive for New Nigeria. I pity The 60% Politicians and their family. Love that turns to hate is Dangerous and Buhari and his entire Cabinet will not be forgiven :'(
I'll never forget that match too. Reason being that it was one of the very rare moments where I sat down alone with my (now late) mum to watch a Champions League match.
I hardly watch football, neither did she, but that night was different. I kept on hyping Salah and explaining to her how he was one of the best players then, etc. So you could imagine my righteous indignation when Sergio Ramos attempted to dismember Salah's arm from the shoulder. SR automatically became my sworn enemy.
Somehow, she also showed a genuine and keen interest in the match. I don't know why.
