the only reason why this thread was made was too see if seun will respond and reply to this nonsense.

i have 2 tattoos. and plan to get another. neither can be seen if i were to wear professional clothing. one of my tattoos can be seen if i wear summer attire, but i wouldn't wear revealing clothing like that to work anyways. i don't think tattoos are unattractive. most people i see, black and white, have tattoos. its not big deal. although i do wonder sometimes how i will look when i get old and my skin gets saggy. lol.

I dont know I dont have the answers, I'm just a mere mortal. I only try to make a contribution to this world by being the best person that I can possibly to be.

The state of Black America is dismal. I'll tell you why. Crack Cocaine. That's what screwed things up for us. Before this, we had our Martin Luther Kings, our WEB Dubois, Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Frederick Douglas, and the list goes on and on. There are so many wonderful things about my people, that I would never have known, unless I would not have sought this information out myself. And when I read books by Ivan Van Sertima and Cheikh Anta Diop, I felt a sense of pride. You see, to many AA's, Africa is just this distant concept. Most really don't grasp the fact that our ancestors lived there not too long ago. We have no knowledge. We don't even know ourselves, or our own greatness. I believe that if Eurocentric Curricula were not pushed so much in the school system, that AA's eyes would begin to really open up.
This is America for God's sake. This land of the free was built on my ancestors' backs. Yet until recently, we have reaped none of the benifits. There needs to be an internal change, and that's what I am committed to doing in my community, not by what I say, but by what I do. Everywhere I go, I try to be an upstanding citezin, and an example to the world, that no, these stereotypes that you hear of AA's are not all true. Albeit you have some of rogues and rascals, but that can't be helped.

We have a long way to go, but I have faith in my AA brothers and sisters.

I love them, even when they embarass me, because I know that a lot of times they don't know any better. People are just a product of their envrironments, and if you have been taught nothing else, but how to "play the system" and live off the bounty of the land (ie. food stamps and other government assistance. lol), because that's what generations of your people have had to do to survive. It's a cycle that keeps repeating itself, and it's hard for it to be broken, but happen that will. You see, for so long, all us AA's knew to do was survive, and when these opportunities began to open up for us, and Jim Crow was lifted, things had changed, yet they had not changed at all. It's a shame that it took affirmative action for them to finally give us a fair chance....and you know what the disgruntled powers that be say? That we use the "race card" and that they have become victims of "reverse discrimination."


But that's another story completely. The point I am trying to make, is yes, AA's have a long way to go, but don't kick a person when they are down. Don't sit there and judge, without offering any solutions. I myself and still trying to figure out the best way to save my people from self hatred and doubt. The only solution that I have come up with, is that when I have children of my own, to teach them about their history, their heritage, and when people would try to make them ashamed of who and what they are, to fight ignoreance with intelligence and love, and kindness for their bretheren.

i've seen plenty documentaries that highlight and showcase the despair of people all over this world.

people choose to believe what they want to believe, and its no surprise that Nigerians feel the way they do about African Americans because that is what is force fed down the throats of anyone who partakes in American television.

there's no point in arguing trying to change people's beliefs. I am just so saddened. posting on nairaland is like posting on stormfront.org. it is very disheartening, really, to see this division among people who the white man is still going to regard as the "N-word" no matter your nationality. They don't know the difference, believe me. only we draw those lines, and it needs to stop. This is insanity, and hatred will destroy this world.

Men are men, women are women, no matter what race or culture or nationality. I have dated men of all colors and creeds, and you're all the same!!!! lol. in the good ways, and in the bad.

All a man/woman really wants from the opposite sex is to feel special and loved, and appreciated;that there is someone who they genuinly matter to.someone to stay by his/her side through thick and thin. It's not all that hard to figure a person out. what their needs are, what their wants are, what they desire, their goals, their hurts, their pains. that's the only way you will know which approach to take with them. fulfill a need,what they think is lacking and they worship the ground you walk on, as you make sweet love to their mind.

and those who are the mean evil type.....who needs them? i let those type mistreat another poor soul. been there done that. men/women like that are too stuck in their ways. they need to be able to hurt, to inflict pain, whether it be emotional or physical.

idk, just some of my observations.

btw.....i hear all of these posts on here about mugus. What's so wrong with being loving, kind, and generous, both in deeds, and with the pursestrings? A man like that is so beautiful to me. so selfless, yet they always seem to fall for women who will take their kindness for weakness. When and if I ever run into a mugu, he will be mugu no more. He will no longer have to bear that cumbersome title. With me he will be able to truly shine and blossom, basking in the love and affection that at last has finally been returned!!!!

No disrespect but if your Lord truly wanted the world to be a better place, don't you suppose that the planet would be rid of brainless criminal-birthing wh[i]o[/i]res like "mrs" yeahright Chima, who only amount to liability on functional human beings? I'm not being facetious here, just think about it. I see this as a Nigerian forum first and foremost; not a springboard for trolling sl[i]a[/i]ves and green card machines to come express malcontent with their miserable existence. So I will never fail to shut down that jobless and lonely Darwinist residue and her desperate campaigns for attention, and you best believe that if the government ever came up with a Eugenics program to expunge these mouth-breathing monkeys from society, I will religiously write out checks to that cause.

men always want something in return for their generosity. I can smell these types from miles away. they wine you, they dine you, they are nearly salivating just thinking about getting into your pants. so you get as much as you can out of them, before they realize that their efforts are reaping no benefits. The player gets played. I rather enjoy these sorts.

an allowance and a salary is two different things. if you love her you will make her happy. i know you are on a fixed income and all,but a real man will please his woman, and if it pleases her to have money, then you should give it to her.

I see what you are trying to do though. AA men have been force feeding the same things down AA women's throats for years now when it comes to white women. That they only like white gurls because they are easy, and stupid, when really they are not man enough,and is too much of a coward to admit that the reason they are with this white woman is because they like that white woman. same thing applies to nigerians.

she mentions all of his "shortcomings" but she knew  before she married him that he was a loser without a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. does that mean she settled for less than what she thought she deserved? probably. a lot of women enter into relationships with bums so that they won't be alone.they need a man that bad. to women like super head, a piece of a man is better than no man at all. and now she wants to broadcast all of his faults to the world as if she wasn't aware of them when she married him.
