Northerners plotting for Shettima to replace Tinubu as President – Naja’atu A former member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Hajia Najaatu Mohammed, has claimed that some northerners are plotting to make Senator Kashim Shettima president if the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, becomes incapacitated. She told This Day that some northerners urging Tinubu to continue with his presidential ambition so his running mate can replace him if his health fails. Naja’atu, who had recently resigned as the APC campaign organization director for civil society, disclosed that some supporters of northern extraction are banking on Tinubu’s eventual incapacitation so that Shettima could assume office as constitutionally stipulated. While stating that the northerners are banking on his ill health, Mohammed said: “They just want to push him for them to be the president. It’s not even in his interest.” She added, “Some people from Maiduguri called me today (Monday) asking, ‘Hajia, why did you do this? You have now punctured our interest. Our son is going to be president, and you’re talking like that? After all, look at Tinubu; he cannot do it. We’re all for Kashim. You have not done well for us.” https://www.nairaland.com/7541526/northerners-plotting-shettima-replace-tinubu |

She stated that despite briefings from all security agencies, the president doesn’t care about the dangers of a Bola Tinubu presidency, given his alleged health challenges. She alleged that Buhari’s grandnephew, Yusuf Tunde Sabiu is the ‘prime minister’ of Nigeria who runs the presidency, adding that the president is not in charge. Naja’atu said: “In the first place, Buhari does not care about anything. He had never cared. He doesn’t care about the country, nor is he really in charge. He has thrown the country to the dogs. He has a prime minister in the name of his nephew—grandnephew Tunde. “Whether we want to believe it or not, Tunde is the de facto president. I know that even the service chiefs report to him. Tunde is Sabiu. Do you know him? He’s called Tunde because he was named after Tunde Idiagbon.” https://www./2023/01/26/najaatu-mohammed-reveals-northerners-plotting-to-replace-tinubu-with-shettima/ |

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, was on Wednesday allegedly rushed off the stage at the party’s presidential rally in Minna due to poor health. It was gathered that Tinubu could not arrive in the Niger State capital in the morning for the rally as he had to attend to his health with specialist doctors rushed to attend to him on Tuesday, soon after he had made an appearance at the North West zone rally held at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna. He was advised to rest that Tuesday evening after the rally, thus delaying his arrival in Minna until Wednesday. He arrived at the venue of the rally, which was well underway in the afternoon in Minna. A source who revealed the development from Minna via telephone call further said that Tinubu was advised to avoid the Minna rally to take “a deserved rest” but his team insisted he must put up an appearance in order to cover up the development. However, when he was ushered to the stage to speak in a live telecast monitored by our correspondent, the former Lagos State Governor could only shout the party’s name several times in a slow and incoherent manner. “APC, APC, Niger! Nigeria, Nigeria! Sai Bago, Sai Bago, APC, APC!” Tinubu said on stage. “Sai Lolo, Sai lolo,” he continued, after which he busted into laughter. He kept shouting, “Sai Bago, sai jagaban”, a nickname he is known for as his voice kept diminishing. He however continued shouting, “God bless you, God bless Niger State, may God bless you,” and was led away from the podium without presenting his manifesto and what he will do if he wins the 2023 presidential election. The rally was thereafter cut short in a live beam monitored by this paper on the candidate’s television Station, TVC. Tinubu is believed to be having a running battle with some undisclosed illnesses. There have been several reports of the APC candidate being afflicted with Parkinson’s disease but he has kept mum on the development. https://thewhistler.ng/apc-minna-rally-cut-short-as-tinubu-rushed-off-stage-on-health-grounds/ Video:

Tinubu & Lagos state. Between 1999 to 2007, the star governors then were Donald Duke of Cross River, Chimaroke Nnamani of Enugu, even though Ibori would be later jailed, he had more projects to himself than the so called Jagaban. Ibori practically changed the face of his own town like what Oshiomhole and Ambode did to Iyahmo and Epe respectively. Then, Yaradua of Katsina and Markafi of Kaduna, although he struggled because of sharia and the Kaduna crisis which left a major dent on his administration. Lagos was never celebrated in governance until Fashola became governor in 2007. I remember clearly the fight Tinubu had with Obasanjo about local government creation, that was the major reason Lagos was on the news then, apart for obvious reasons as Nigeria’s economic capital, there was nothing spectacular in Lagos governance then apart from the filths and dirts that littered the former pride of the nation. There was nothing exciting about Tinubu’s leadership except his meticulous politics. He was a last man standing of the AD governors of the Southwest region then because Igbos helped him. We still remember how Tinubu was changing his deputies like sidechicks. There was one Bucknor then and another Femi Pedro, they all fell out with Tinubu. We remember clearly how Tinubu almost never wanted Fashola to complete his term but Fashola being a system man, managed to, unlike Ambode who, although being very good as a leader didn’t know how to manage power. Tinubu, typical of most governors in his sets; 1999-2007, was mediocre like Lucky Igbinedion, Alams, Dariye etc. It is sad how people want to re-write history before our eyes. How would someone attribute the Lagos success story to Tinubu, it is very painful to read that sometimes. Lagos was already Lagos before Tinubu was born. You can go and verify this. You guys should show a mega project attributed to Tinubu. One he started and completed. -King Heavenly |

2023 PRESIDENCY: US EMBASSY DENIES TINUBU VISA, AS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE HEADS TO CHATHAM HOUSE The United States embassy has denied the Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Visa to travel to the US for planned engagement, a Federal Lawmaker confided in Pointblanknews.com. Pointblanknews.com learnt that the trip was meant to accommodate a political engagement but more importantly, to seek medical attention without the prying eyes of Nigerians. It was further gathered that after discovering that the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alh. Atiku Abubakar was invited for a series of engagements ahead of the 2023 presidential election, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his handlers decided to apply for US Visa to also organize an engagement for him. Sources close to the APC Presidential candidate disclosed that his Visa application was denied and therefore the event could not be put together. On the sidelines of the event however, Asiwaju was billed to seek further medical attention from American doctors, had the move for the event been successful. With the denial, Pointblanknews.com gathered that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu seized the Chatham House engagement which is penultimate Monday, while he will use the rest days for his medicals. The source revealed that ” He (Tinubu) was supposed to visit Baltimore where he would have seen a doctor after the event if his Visa had been approved. This would give him the needed privacy especially now that people are increasingly worried about his mental and health situation. “It would have been easy for him to go to France since it has been his destination of choice for medical attention but will be too obvious since he normally goes there for check up hitherto. “This is the reason why the Chatham House option came in handy since it’s just one day and the rest days can be used for medicals”. Pointblanknews.com reports that the Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will speak on his agenda for Nigeria at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, also known as Chatham House, on December 5. Tinubu, according to Chatham House, will, during the occasion, have the opportunity to “discuss his vision and recently unveiled a manifesto for ‘renewing hope’ in Nigeria, including his policy proposals for economic reform and revival, and how to deliver secure and inclusive job opportunities for Nigerian citizens.” Tinubu, who has been the subject of various speculations about his health, just like President Muhammadu Buhari was in 2015 when he was the APC presidential candidate, will, probably, be hoping that history is on his side. Buhari also spoke on his manifesto at the same Chatham House, ahead of the election that brought him to power in his first tenure. http://pointblanknews.com/pbn/exclusive/2023-presidency-us-embassy-denies-tinubu-visa-as-presidential-candidate-heads-to-chatham-house/ |

EXCLUSIVE: How Policemen At Force Headquarters Sold Constable Recruitment Slots For N700,000 Each, Colluded With National Identity Agency Officials To Illegally Reduce Applicants’ Ages Only 10,000 men have been recruited in the last four years since the approval. Many applicants for constable in the Nigeria Police Force paid N700,000 and above each to secure the job in the recent nationwide recruitment by the police. President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 approved the recruitment of 10,000 police constables annually to beef up security in the country. However, only 10,000 men have been recruited in the last four years since the approval. Ideally, no fewer than 40,000 officers are supposed to have been enlisted into the Force by now to address the lingering manpower challenge the police are facing, in line with the directive of the President. When the approval was given, the arrangement was that 10,000 men would be recruited annually, in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, but the disagreement between the leadership of the Police Service Commission (PSC) and Usman Baba, Inspector-General of Police with his predecessor halted the exercise between 2019 and 2022, when the issue was partially resolved. Multiple sources told SaharaReporters that some of the enlisted applicants currently undergoing six months of intensive training in basic, intermediate and advanced police studies at the four colleges and 12 police training schools across the country paid over N700,000 to be picked. The sources identified one ASP Uba and a junior officer known as Ali, both attached to the police force headquarters as the masterminds of the recruitment scandal. Some applicants who paid less than N700,000 but were not asked to resume training were also threatened by these policemen who allegedly boasted that they “are untouchable and have superiors we also give money to”. SaharaReporters also gathered that Uba and Ali colluded with some National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) officials to reduce the ages of some of the applicants. Among the requirements listed by the police authorities is that applicants must have their national identification number (NIN) and a functional email address. Also, applicants must be Nigerians and be aged between 17 and 25 as of the time of putting in their application. “So, many of those chosen are people above 25 years old. What they do is simple and it is in connivance with NIMC (National Identity Management Commission) officials. They’ll use different thumbprints of two different people to change their National Identity Cards and enroll them into the Force. Like I said, it’s N700,000 to do it – the illegal reduction of age and recruitment as constable,” an applicant told SaharaReporters. “About 15 people I know did the same thing; one of them is popular. He is one of the enlisted applicants and currently receiving training at the Police College in Maiduguri. He is from Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, he stays in Maraba Nyanya in Abuja. I’m just saying all this to show you I know him very well. “These 15 people I said earlier are overage applicants but all of them are in training camps now after paying N700,000 each to some police officers attached to the Force headquarters in Abuja. Those officers took them to NIMC registration centre and used their right hand and the left hand of another person to capture a new national identity card with the required age to enable them to get their way into the Force. “I know this because I applied and have all the requirements but those police officers told me to bring N700,000 too. I told them I’m just 22 and not overage but they told me to bring N200,000 to be recruited. So I paid the N200,000 to one ASP Uba but guess what, I wasn’t called to resume training. I asked him and his boys to return my money but they threatened to kill me. “But the applicant from Askira Uba Local Government of Borno state, with the help of these fraudulent officers, he was able to reduce his age by 10 years. He has a national identity card with his original age which is 33 years. He was born in 1989. When he realised he could not apply, with the help of the police officers to whom he paid N700,000, they took him to another national identity card registration centre and used his right hand and the left hand of another person for his biometric capturing and made another national identity card for him after reducing his age to 23 years. He now claimed he was born in 1999.” Another source told SaharaReporters that his brother paid N900,000 to be recruited. “We paid over N900,000 for my brother to join the Force. I had to sell my motorcycle in order to raise part of the money. He is currently undergoing training at Maiduguri. Not only us, but so many people here in Maraba Nyanya, behind Orange market, paid and were recruited. Though I heard some people who paid between N200,000 and N500,000 were not picked and their money wasn’t refunded,” he said. When contacted, Muyiwa Adejobi, Nigeria Police Force spokesperson said the police authorities were not aware of the fraudulent acts of the personnel. He asked Nigerians to always contact senior police officers for clarification as recruitment into the force is free of charge and not for sale in any way. “We are not aware of this. However, the IGP has directed that these allegations should be investigated, while we urge those affected or those with useful information that can help us in our investigation to come up with reports/documents,” he told SaharaReporters. “Also, we still urge Nigerians to always contact senior officers, Force PRO, DIG Training and Development, etc. for clarification should anyone demand money as recruitment into the police force is free of charge, not for sale in any way.” https://saharareporters.com/2022/11/07/exclusive-how-policemen-force-headquarters-sold-constable-recruitment-slots-n700000-each |
